Very knowledgeable instructor. His teaching style really makes sure you are prepared and comfortable with the kite on land before taking it to the water. End result is a quicker transition from body dragging to standing up on the board.

First of all TAKE A LESSON if you’re going to try the sport. The power of the kite is no joke! I water ski and downhill and thought I was well prepared for kite surfing. I WAS WRONG! You absolutely need a pro to show you what to do and more importantly what NOT to do so you’re safe and enjoy the experience!Kurt is awesome!!!! Almost 20 years in the business! Was on time! Picked the right place and time to get the best wind! (No wind=no kiting)Brought different gear/kites so we could use what’s appropriate for the conditions. Knows his stuff down cold and explains it in a way you can totally understand it! Doest try to waste time to jack up the bill. Took a bunch of videos of me training. The guy is a blast to hang with. We had such a great time in the water we ended up going to lunch together!Thank You and see you in January buddy!!!!

When Kurt first contacted me it was within 24 hours of my inquiry on his site. He was willing and able to work with my schedule and from our first contact on a Monday I was having my first lesson on Sunday!! He is patient and not only tells you how to do things but WHY. He also put me in different situations with the kite that would ready me to be in some real situations so I will be equipped to handle a downed kite while bobbing around or a twisted line after relaunching. This is the true art of teaching and I’m am grateful and consider myself lucky to have been able to and continue to learn from him.
