Very artistic and mellow vibe. It had all the feelings of a grassroots coffee shop that I have come to love as an avid partaker of java. The outdoor seating with a view of Atlantic ave and the indoor setting were comfortable and inviting. I ordered the macchiato and I must say I appreciate the smoothness and depth of the flavor. It was not bitter at all and did not require the addition of any ingredients to make it enjoyable as a great cup should. The service was also quick for the traffic that the establishment seems to attract. However, there was a very present flavor of blueberry to this brew that I did not prefer. I would have enjoyed it better had that not been incorporated into the flavor. Perhaps if there is a different blend, I would return, but while the quality was to standard, the taste profile was not.

Subculture Coffee has a nice, cool, chill vibe. There are seats available and the environment is inviting. Its an inviting space and offers choice beverages including teas and coffee, and lite foods. The staff is welcoming. Ill visit again and reccomend.

Relax and chill environment, great space to meet with friends or do personal work online. They offer one of my favorite plant based chocolate brands. They have almost every new flavor and their açaí bowls are definitely one of my favorite delights to order.

Ive been going here for years now. Awesome place with friendly staff. Im never afraid to try something different because I know it is all going to be good. I also saw the staff deal with a rude customer who refused to wear a mask inside. The barista politely asked her to put one on or order outside and have them bring her order out to her. The customer threw a fit, but the staff remained polite but firm. I feel safe ordering from here knowing that they are willing to uphold the rules.

I like the art fairs, supper original art work there on Thursday’s. So much fun hanging out, a little over priced, there are no good cakes, I wish they had some good cupcakes. Maybe the scene inside would do well with some murals and cupcakes. But I heard they had good coffee although I don’t drink coffee.

Yummy food and drinks with great atmosphere!

We came here for the first time Saturday and wow. Coffee awful and the sandwich was terrible. Obviously frozen and thawed and put on a nasty cheddar biscuit when i asked for a bagel. Pale thin bacon and liquid cheese. We threw everything out. $20 wasted. Will never come here again.

Good coffee and pastries. Love that its at the beginning of the Ave so that everything is laid back. Getting in and out is easy as it has its own parking. Plenty of room indoors and outdoors. I get the iced mocha, which is not overly chocolatey like some places.

Great coffee and super comfy atmosphere, Id love to see a little open mic spark up here I think it would draw some real talent. The place is everything you could want in a coffee shop. They had cool little stickers that said drink the coffee not the kool-aid which was a little ironic given strict mask enforcement but hey, such are the times. I see from reviews theres been Karens in here giving them a hard time. Definitely worth a visit.

I really fell in love with the egg sandwich here but too many times The Sandwich was made different almost everyday. Eggs EXTREMEMLY flat one day then EXTREMEMLY fluffy and great the next. The worst of all that made me stop going all together is the multiple times I found HAIR in my food AND the plastic containers they use to deliver the food in MELT to the food and they melt to the container they stack it on. I had to physically peel my sandwich container from my avocado toast container. They were fused together from the heat of the sandwich. After eating hair and having to throw away a plastic infused sandwich that was made different than the same one I ordered the day before. Its gonna be a no from me permanently. What I just mentioned above can make someone very ill and should be taken serious.

The Barista went to make my coffee, with a dirty rag. She wiped off the machine with an old dirty rag, then put my milk in it to heat it up. When I informed her she goes,”it’s clean.” It clearly wasn’t clean. I asked her to remake it. She refused. Horrible service

Absolute worst coffee shop in east Delray Beach. Poor customer service, unsanitary environment and the worst tasting coffee and breakfast items. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Horrible, wish we could give zero stars.

Not a bad place but consumers are crying out for sustainability! Please give us better options than plastic. There is nothing worse than seeing people sit down and dine in with their single-use plastic cups and containers when you could just wash a glass and a plate instead! So disappointing.

Good coffee. We went two days in a row and both times the coffee was very smooth. The service is pretty slow though. Both days one person would take one order and then make the order. It was fairly inefficient.

My food was forgotten about until I said something about ten minutes later. I was charged for something I did not order. Bad service. Not come back.

If it was possible to leave a 0 star I would. Ordered two drinks, they forgot to put almond milk in her ice coffee which was made by the person who took our order. Proceeded to wait 10 minutes for my iced latte. Go up and ask where its is and she says oh I didnt put that in. Then doesnt even ask if I still want it. Trendy hipsters with no brains.

Walked into Subculture coffee for the first time on July 2nd, cute place. Ordered a coffee and then saw two baristas behind the counter without their masks on. They were not following the local mask mandate and clearly making coffee, cleaning equipment, restocking dood items without proper protection for themselves or the customers.Asked why they were not wearing masks and both employees looked over and then just pulled the masks hanging around their necks on.I left without waiting for my coffee.If this is what they do in plain sight, I dont want to know what they do when no one is looking.

Went into subculture on a Saturday night to sit and have coffee. The place was not very busy and there was one person working the counter talking to someone. I asked where the selections were and he looked annoyed and pointed somewhere. No help at all. I stood around waiting for some help but none came so I left. This place is a waste of time with so many better options in Delray.

LOVE. This place has so many coffee and food options and great atmosphere inside. It’s a great place to come and work on your laptop, there’s plenty of room and it doesn’t get too crowded often, although parking can get crowded. Can’t wait to go back!

Really disappointed in my experience today. I come here when I’m in Florida as I now live abroad. I own and operate a Specialty Coffeehouse myself so it’s very upsetting to even write about today’s experience.My dad ordered the Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich as did I. He is a vegetarian so I asked to put the bacon he paid for that comes on the sandwich on to my sandwich. The cashier / barista very pleasantly says sure ok no problem.When I am called to pick up my order the cook tells me with an attitude you can’t put “extra bacon” on the sandwich, this is a twenty dollar sandwich! (On the menu the sandwich is sold at $9). I say, no my dad ordered the same sandwich so I’m just getting what he paid for. He keeps talking over me, very begrudgingly and clearly annoyed, no that’s extra.Before leaving my dad spoke with I assume the manager, she was like yea it’s a cost issue ... very cold ... very disinterested.The coffee is good, but there are other Specialty Coffee options. The experience just left me annoyed.

They are so great with details! I got 4 shots with Chai and almond milk over ice and the best vegan chocolate banana muffin that you can ever imagine! There food menu is extensive and the ambiance makes you want to stay until they close. What an eclectic coffee house, wow!!!

How can a place call itself “Subculture” and do that kind of damage to marine life??? I was able to choose ceramic for my capicinno and the food was good.And the service was lovely.

A remarkable place, what makes this place great isnt just the coffee or the muffins. Its the people, its the people behind the counter, the people sitting at the tables. Staff is super friendly and I am always greeted with smile and a heartfelt good morning. The people that visit the place are also amazing, its a place you can be yourself. This place gets my vote for the coffee shop of the year.

Iced coffee was watered down. Place is packed to the brim. Tables wobble. Wifi spotty, it kept disconnecting both of my devices. Still though, that coffee was so heavily watered down for almost $4. Plugs outside are locked shut, asked for one, the very attractive girls on the shift didnt know anything about a key. At least I got some book editing done before my laptop ran out of juice. Time to hit up starbucks.

Great coffee, good food. Relatively unfriendly millenials who prefer to serve younger people and show it. My friend given a card for multiple purchases and I many years older was not. 17 dollars for less than a pound is steep for good but not fantastic coffee. I like most an Ethiopian blend with a berry flavor. Delicious when served with dessert.

They used to be so awesome. Now seems as if they only support LGBTQI community. Strange ! Maybe new owners cause it was a awesome place to have coffee. So disappointed, hopefully they will get new staff and a better vibe. Needs new management desperately.

This place has a variety of good food a little pricey however; the service is always very slow and they act like they are doing you a favor rather than wait on you. The staffs side conversations are more important the helping customers and fulfilling orders.

Love to hangout. The walls are cool, they’re handwritten with chalk. Full coffee menu and bar menu at night. They make the coffee right on site with a roaster and chopper!

I just moved to Delray and buy my coffee beans here. Fresh roasted is a must and their coffee is great. I find subcultures prices to be a bit higher than other roasteries. Sometimes the beans are near 2 weeks old which is the point where they go stale.

This place is amazing! from the food to the employees! They went above and beyond, BEEEEYOOOOND, for me!! and it was very much appreciated. My Ubereats driver had one job to do, ONE JOB!!!!! Deliver my food and he failed. My food was delivered and my coffee was forgotten. He did nothing to resolve my problem. So I called the restaurant and told them what happened. They ended up having one of their employees deliver my coffee to my job!! He even bought me cookies. (which by the way were delicious!!) i had no break today and knew I wouldnt be able to get my own coffee. Thank you sooooooo much!!
