Came here after I had only heard good things about the place. It’s located in a large shopping plaza but is easy to find. Despite the full dining area, I was quickly able to order my to go food and the staff was extremely polite and seemed just to be a happy group. The owner or manager (not sure who but it was a woman with brown hair) even offered an elderly customer help to carry a large order to her vehicle, which just further proved how nice they must be! I always love to see others respect elders like this. The lobster roll I got was both HUGE and delicious. the bagels were NY style which I highly appreciate. The prices are extremely reasonable for such high quality fresh food especially the lobster. Highly recommend not only for the food but the awesome customer service! I will return no questions
This place is truly a gem! Best smoked salmon cream cheese bagel I have ever had. The pastrami is also to die for!
I have been to Brighton Beach Bagel a number of times for both eat-in and take-out over the last few years. The food and bagels are excellent.Yesterday I went there to pick up some bagels and found myself in a short waiting line with both masked and unmasked customers in front and behind me. Though 6 foot spacing footprints were on the floor, very few abided by them, crowding around me at times. Then I saw a Written Notice on their display case proclaiming that they DID NOT REQUIRE MASKS! Long after I ordered and arrived to pickup my order, they finally give me a short warning notice that They Really Do Not Care About My Health and Safety! My Decision Is Now A Clear Choice: I WILL NO LONGER SHOP OR PATRONIZE ANY BUSINESS THAT GROSSLY NEGLECTS OR IS DISMISSIVE OF ITS CUSTOMERS HEALTH NEEDS, INCLUDING BRIGHTON BEACH BAGEL. And if you dont wish to have some faceless business make your health risk decisions for you too, I ADVISE YOU TO AVOID PATRONIZING THEM AS WELL. Bad Social Behavior Should NEVER Be Rewarded!
Went in for take-out twice. The first time I asked for 4 bagels. The guy talked me into making it an even half dozen (and get a 7th thrown in). So i told him to add the extra bagels. When I got home I noticed I’d been charged for the half dozen but had only 5. It was not worth going back. The second time I got my 7 bagels - But noticed when I got home he charged me twice (almost $7 over). Tried calling many times - nobody picks up. Went all the way back and when I told, whom I assume is the manager, I got all kinds of attitude like I did something wrong. The bagels are pretty good, the muffins are great and while I haven’t tried the lunch menu - other people like the food.So it’s worth checking out - but I suggest you check your take-out orders and your receipt before leaving to make sure they got it right. The manager blamed the mistakes on how busy they are - but I was the only one in there when I ordered. Yes, mistakes happen but so far they’re two for two.
The first time and Brighton Beach bagel and bakery was amazing. We ordered the lobster rolls and so impressed with the amount of meat and the fresh roll. Every time we’re in Delray we stop by to get a lobster roll when we get to Delray and again when we leave. We are from Long Island and they’re they are skimpy and pricey.
I waited online for bagels for at least 10 minutes. By 11:30 in the morning they were out of many different types of bagels. I only bought a half a dozen to try them out and I’m thankful that’s all I bought. It didn’t even feel fresh when I was cutting it. I put it in the toaster for a medium toast, and then started to have my favorite Sunday morning bagels and lox breakfast. After three bites I threw the bagel away. I then tried another bagel, which was slightly better. My husbands was just as awful. Unfortunately I will never buy bagels there again. The only good thing was the young man that waited on me behind the counter….he was very nice.Part 2. To be continued: today I went back into Brighton Beach bagels and saw the owner Merry. She was totally delightful and she happily replaced my bagels. She gave me a dozen assorted bagels because she wanted me to see how good they actually are. When I went home I had a half of one, and it was actually very fresh and very delicious. Thank you, Merry. You have turned me back into a customer. Can’t wait to try the other flavors too.
I picked my brother up from the airport.Being we are from NY we header straight to Brighton Beach Bagel.Very Fresh bagels 🥯 and a nice assortment of creamcheese spreads plus excellent Lox...
I officially had the most disgusting Turkey Sandwich of my life from this place. The meat tastes worse than any cafeteria I’ve ever been to. This meat is lower than dog food quality in my opinion. I’ve had breakfast from here a dozen times and it wasn’t bad. This Turkey sandwich is the most disgusting thing I’ve eaten in a long time. Followed by a really gross pickle and disgusting flavored macaroni salad. This place is either the worst deli I’ve ever had. I never write online reviews but NO-ONE should eat this. Absolutely gross.
Love this place. Food is deliciousService excellent
Best bagel sandwiches in town lobster roll is also excellent and reasonably priced (as of today)
Always fresh and delicious, clean with friendly staff. Its very spacious and lots of coffee choices and creamer choices which is nice. Great deli choices for takeout food and delicious sandwiches. The have a new smoker now and smoke their own pastrami, and make their own rye bread and bagels. Highly recommended!
Excellent coffee and the bagels ...well EVERYTHING is fresh and quality of meats, lox- everything weve had is delicious. Love the theme of this place- old school Brooklyn pictures throughout all the walls and even their televisions have shoes from way back. Very cool, laid back atmosphere.
Their bagels are nothing special. IHOPs breakfast meals taste a lot better plus IHOPs customer service is better. Just like Brooklyn water bagel their brand name is trying to strike a chord amongst ex new yorkers from Brooklyn that their food is just like it was when we were all growing up there. Nothing is like being in Brooklyn and never will be. Everyone who moved from Brooklyn to SoFlo needs to come to grips with that reality.
My fiancé and I went in there for bagels and the service was terrible. Instead of being greeted, we were rudely told to wait by the lady at the front. We came in around 7:30 and no one else was in there. After we got our bagels and left I realized mine did not come with cream cheese. When I went back in the lady was even more rude about it. She gave me frozen cream cheese and a plastic knife. the knife broke and I asked her to remake it, she grabbed my bagel and threw it at the man working in the back. We are usual costumers but after the way we were treated we will be taking our business elsewhere.
A fav because I spent the first few years of my life in Brighton Beach. Great dood.
I can truly say I’ve never had a worse customer experience at a breakfast establishment in my life. My friends and I arrived around 10 am to order bagels from Brighton. We each had separate orders, one breakfast sandwhich - one plain bagel with cream cheese - and one rye bagel with scallion cream cheese. We received the first two orders, and continued to wait 45+ for the 3rd bagel. Throughout the 45+ minutes many workers noticed we were waiting for a long time and made comments about how it was coming, they were working on it, while we watched many people that had ordered after us get their orders. We heard the kitchen staff in the back frantically yelling the order over and over. Finally after 45+ minutes we received the bagel and returned home, flustered from the awful experience. We get home to see that that instead of a plain bagel and a rye, we received 2 rye bagels. They messed up the second order, and we had waited 45+ minutes for a double order of the incorrect bagel. After the awful experience there and the frustrating wait time, an incorrect order was just the icing on the cake. We called requesting the correct bagel to be delivered to us because we had to wait so long and she immediately said no, although their website states they offer no contact delivery. We then had to drive all the way back to get the correct bagel. When we arrived, the woman was condescending, slowly repeating the simple plain bagel with cream cheese order to make sure it was “correct” - when they had messed up the order initially. I have worked many customer services roles, including food as well, so I understand mistakes happen but the way this was handled was absolutely absurd. We requested a refund for having to wait so long, return to the store, to then get treated poorly again when they had messed up our order. Immediately the “owner” stepped in to try to assist but ended up being the rudest one we spoke to. We explained the issue and she had nothing but excuses, and absolutely no empathy to the issue. We explained we wanted a refund due to the wait, the mistake and treatment from the staff so she pulled us aside to ask for specifics on who was rude. She said it was important to her to find out who treated us poorly and when we explained, she immediately talked over us saying that was not her intention - completely disregarding our concern. In an attempt to gain control over the conversation, she then asked us where we were from. Not sure what this had to do with our bagel issue, but she showed us her intention after I told her I was from Miami. She then made multiple comments about how Miami is “slick” and the people from there are normally “very slick” with an mischievous smile on her face. That’s when she got into the condescending comments dripping in ageism. She made many comments about how we’re “very young” “super young girls”, again — very weird comments that didn’t need to be made when discussing a concern with my order. We were paying customers and should not feel like we would have received a different level of respect should we have been a little bit older. Tired of the condescending comments, I then requested that we receive the refund we had agreed on. This is when she got frantic, yelling in front of other customers “they’re going to get their refund, whatever, forget it, i dont care, what did they order, how much was it” this is when she came to a total of $4 that would serve as our refund. I think the kicker was when she angrily reached her hand into the tip jar, taking $4 of her employees tips away from them to throw at us. She actually took tips from her employees to give as a refund to a customer. As her employee that would have upset me so much, seeing money I worked hard for to receive as a tip be given to a customer that deserved a real refund for their issue. Ultimately, I have never taken the time out of my day to write a review but my experience here was horrible. When in Delray, I recommend spending your money anywhere else for breakfast.
It was wonderful! Great food. Clean, pleasant service.
Bagels are decent (though, as a former Brighton Beach resident, must reveal there is NO bagel bakery in Brighton!) but lines are almost always slow 🐌
You are in time for brunch. Tristen is welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable! If you need an authentic New Yorker deli, Brighton Beach Bagel and Bakery is your place! They make the best corned-beef sandwich, and knishes like grandma used to make. - Soup in 90 degree weather? Yes! When it tastes like home, you can’t say no- you take it and have it later. Ask for Tristen and let him know that he’s a rockstar!
The worst service ever. Waited too long for someone to acknowledge me and lead me to a dirty outdoor table. Waitresses yell at customers, especially those who are elderly with hearing impairment. Customers are rude as well. Overall ambiance is whiny, petty and yucky. After politely asking 4 times for water (when you have a moment, please bring water) I picked myself up and left, and had a very pleasant experience elsewhere. There are other places very nearby to get great bagels and bakery items. This place is awful. Vote with your feet!
Always good with the flavors you expect and are consistant.
“Chef” said they could not cook “home fries” crispy. Closer to mashed potatoes than home fries.
Had lobstah wrap and was very impressed. Dont recommend the onion rings, too much breading.
I am writing to you because things have changed. There are new people up front at the register between 7 and 715 when I arrive. They are very slow..talk to the customers in excess while there are others wsiting. There used to be an amazing lady up front and I havent seen her in weeks. She was quick and courteous.I have walked out of here in the last 2 weeks about 4 times....I really enjoyed going here and there bagels are delicious but waiting 15 minutes with 2 customers in front of me is a bit riduculius.
My favorite place for breakfast or lunch love the clam chowder w fish n chips
Nice place 👌 everything clean I can feel comfortable..
Very clean. Masks and social distancing owner lovely. Food good
This place has excellent food. The carry out service is awful. Ordered at the register one time and carry out was terrible. So I tried ordering from their website with a specific time for the next day at a time just before lunch rush. My order sat on the counter after asking the person at the register if that was my order. That person responded no. I asked the next person who came out of the kitchen and that person said heres your order right here. Same order that was sitting their.Ill have to go back and sit outside, and wait on line to order while people are on the phone not paying attention to have the next person called in line and their too busy on the phone.Inconsiderate people.
Waited 20 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese and nova, and they forgot to toast it. I asked for red onion and tomato and they left off the onion.
Lubstah, lubstah, lubstah...go get some.
Good bagel if you can deal with wait! Spent 19mins for bacon egg cheese everything bagel!! DEFINITELY only geared towards retirees who can sit n wait soo long. Not for working man . Good staff Unfortunately werent trained on how to add extra bacon on bagel, it took 2 employees a few mins to figure out the computer.
I like this place but apparently lots of other people feel that way too. Very crowded today. We dropped in just to pick up bialys, which are very good here.
Good NY style bagel...
Very polite and clean
Very nice place for breakfast. Great muffins and bagels. So clean and pleasant with tables well spread out for social distancing. Enjoyed our visit and will go again for sure.
Good bagels friendly service reasonable priced lox
So good see me friendComing soon food truck trailer 8x30
Good coffee. Bialy ok but overpriced for value. Nice staff
Really good, fresh, made in store bagels. Also very good seafood selection.
The best lobster roll ever. Better then the Hamptons. Also you cannot beat there clam chowder and white fish salad. Bagels are also the best
Took forever - would not recommend
Great bagels and Deli food. Limited outdoor seating
This place is average. You can tell there cutting corners.
Unbelievable, this place has the best Maine lobster roll and anything else Jewish as far as food goes unbelievable youve got to come!!
Too expensive for what you get! NOT a good bang for your $. This place is a joke! Who serves a breakfast sandwich on white sliced bread?! Im sure you will never find a deli in the real Brighton beach that doesnt serve a breakfast sandwich on a roll...so not sure what this place is thinking. I couldnt even enjoy my bacon egg and cheese on sliced white bread because everything kept falling out. The food was average...nothing special. Lost my appetite.
Good value, good food.
Awesome bagels, baileys, breakfast and lunch menus. We go there every other Sunday and pick up a Bakers dozen of baileys. We travel from Homestead to see my husband father and we stop there to get our baileys fix even my father in law. The crew that works there are awesome and very polite with there customers. Thank you!
Everything I tasted has been EXCELLENT! The Corned Beef, pastrami, Beef Brisket and the Lobster rolls are absolutely Delicious! And the owner and staff are extremely nice and helpful with suggestions. I recommend that anyone in the Delray Beach area please stop by and have a taste, I promise that you won’t be disappointed.😉
Excellent customer service, excellent pricing, excellent food, excellent choices, can eat in or take out and even purchase items to take home. Very polite and friendly staff. Cannot say enough good about this place!! Excellent excellent excellent
Long waiting time for your order
The best bagels in town. Hands down to the most humble and sweet people. That is what you call service. Also, don’t forget to get the amazing fresh squeezed orange juice.Akash
Delicious food and friendly and fast service! This is definitely a go to spot for breakfast and lunch!
My boyfriend & I moved from NY to Delray & looked for the best bagel around. We searched everywhere for weeks, even our friends who knew we were looking would buy a bagel somewhere & bring it to us! Finally, my boyfriend made his decision...Brighton Beach Bagels is hands down the winner! He orders a bakers dozen every week or two, & is probably their best customer. He has to eat one EVERY day!
Enjoyed my plain and everything bagels toasted with butter
Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Friendly staff
I really like the bagels
Love their egg sandwiches on a bagel. Being originally from Long Island, its hard to find a good bagel place down here. This is my favorite! Staff are friendly, you can watch them making the bagels fresh through the window. They also make fresh squeezed orange juice!
If only there was a rating for zero. This place must be under new management. The service? Non-existent. The dining room - filthy. The bagels? Gummy and cold, tasteless. On the level of store bought. I’ve had better bagels at Publix. What a shame, last year this place was pretty good, but now DO NOT COME HERE. It’s a waste of money and not worth the time. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I was compelled - I’m sitting here now in the restaurant writing it. That’s how bad it is.
The man taking my order was very nice. However they took over 20 minutes to make 1/2 sandwich and soup. The lady that gave me my food was very rude. She told me MY FOOD HAD BEEN READY FOR THE PAST 15 MINUTES BUT THEY FORGOT TO GIVE IT TO ME. Now Im late back to work and my food has been sitting!
Great flagels, chicken and tuna saladsDont forget the lobster rolls with chowda..Also clean with great customer service.
If you want the highest quality delicatessen, lox, bagels, baked goods, seafood specialties and more, look no further! Brighton Beach Bagel & Bakery has just that! The breakfast specials and extensive lunch menu cannot be beat! The price is right, the place is spacious and beautiful (a true look back to 1950s Brooklyn) and the staff always aiming to please is the reason why I come to Brighton Beach from Bergen Beach, Brooklyn immediately when I get off the plane! Brighton Beach Bagel & Bakery is a true winner! Come and experience this place for yourself! You will agree!!!Sari R.
The food is Unbelievable!!!! Breakfast is amazing! The Ham and Cheese Omelette was delicious! I love the Iced Coffee with the “Blaster Cubes” and the Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice! Fresh bagels are perfect and everything I’ve ordered for lunch and from the bakery just hits the spot! Love it ALL!!!
Best choice in delray.
Great food and service..
They have the best bagels and best service. TJ and that guy from NY are always so kind and friendly. They have quite a good looking guy in the back making bagels too....
I was surprised finding this place. Cuz I’m actually from Brooklyn. I recommend everybody to visit this nice place! Clam chowder soup is the most delicious I’ve ever tried honestly in my life!!! Also people who work there are very nice & friendly!
Wonderful food and great Bagels.
Had the lobster roll and clam chowder. Was delicious!!
Great service, great bagels, I appreciate the staffs kindness.
Great food and service
Simple but good. Order food at the counter. Excellent egg, cheese and bacon bagel. Wonderful selection of fine coffees-- way better than the usual breakfast swill. The NY reminiscent wall -- a trip back to memory lane.
If you want a good breakfast this is your place to go. Friendly staff, great choices. Delicious 🥯
My go-to place for bagels and fresh baked muffins. The egg-onion bagels are great but you gotta get there early. My favorite though, is the corn muffin. Early on, they had kernels of corn baked into the muffin for an amazing taste treat. theyve taken them out now, but the muffins are still wonderful without them. The people are friendly, the wait is short, the food is delish and the business is nicely clean. This is a great place to eat, or even just sit down with a nice cuppa.I have to amend this review. What is stated above is correct. But we went in yesterday (1-9-2018) and wanted to try the Brisket and the Corned beef. Very disappointed. Long delay in receiving, dry and tasteless meats. Only ate 1/2 and took the rest home. Tried to fix it at home but to no avail.Obviously, we wont try that again. Ill stick to the bagels and muffins!
Good for lunch
First time there. Selection of coffee hot or iced plus any type of milk & flavors to put in it was incredible! Prices were reasonable.
Lobster rolls, clam chowder, corn beef sandwich, brisket-all outstanding!
What Ive seen Awesome reviews and picturesI cannotwait for on my list for Friday for lobster roll Bday Weekend and being from Boston proper looking forward to my Friday lunch For the lobster roll!
Food was ok, but service was slow. One sandwich I ordered on whole wheat bread and got a bagel instead
Great menu bagels half price after 3:00 pm great coffee very nice staff!
The fish was about 3 min. Under done so the batter was light and soft.
Great place believe it or not for New England style seafood
These must be fake reviews, the food is terrible and their customer service is the worst. This place is a really bad knock off of Brooklyn water bagel from the color scheme, coffee ice cubes and even the brooklyn water claim. The first time I went in I was greeted by a cashier that was so friendly and I was shocked that she actually worked there as she eager to help place my order (wish I remember her name but I don’t, all I recall was her glasses and her facinaction with the Grateful Dead, which I love). I came back a month later and she was no longer working there and the service was terrible and the food, well ....... no good. I have witnessed the NY owners talking down to not only the employees, but the customers! I saw a woman get really upset because one of the owners took the table number they give you out of the child’s hand and it actually terrified the kid! The mother was furious and I don’t blame her! The other owners have been okay, at least the woman with dark hair, but the man is really short with people, as I had tried once to talk to him about catering an event for my company. Obviously he was too busy to give me any details, so he just gave me a business card and told me to call the number instead of answering any of my questions. But that was back when I was at least satisfied with the customer service and that girl with the glasses had given me a catering menu. Now I will never again walk into that place and be sure to tell anyone else about my experiences.
This place is ABSOLUTELY like a NY bagel joint. Bagels are the right consistency, the hash browns are to die for. I had a ham and cheese omlet that was delicious. Portions are generous, table service is quick and friendly. This place is a gem! If you are from the NY/NJ area, do yourself a favor and stop in for breakfast/brunch. You will not regret it.
Have been coming here since they are open and their product is fantastic and their customer service cannot be best. I’ve had fabulous flagels, bagels, egg specials, to matza ball soup and corned beef on rye .. huge array of coffee choices, and so much more. Try it. You will like it.
Great bagels, muffins, sandwiches and my husband loves their coffee(and we are particular about our coffee!) The employees, especially Sonia are exceptional, friendly, helpful when you need anything or help and they have such a positive vibe (again especially Sonia- always positive and smiling) its a pleasure going there!
Corned beef sandwich was good but sandwich not quite as large as some other delisBrighton Beach deli was a little less expensive.
My daughter and I come here regularly. Shes 5 and its her favorite breakfast and bagel place in the universe. For the New Yorkers, they even have fresh pastries and Bialys!
Absolutely love this place. Staff is always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Food is fantastic. Best coffee and bagels!
Very good, you can dine in or take out. They make breakfast sandwiches, lunch or full menu breakfast/lunch dining. Bagels and coffee are excellent, I definitely recommend
Brighton Beach Bagel and Bakery just opened (July 2016) in Delray Beach, Florida at 14587 South Military Trail, just north of Atlantic Avenue and it is already a great addition to the area. Great food, great service, great people, and great New York themed paraphernalia on the walls. In addition to a being a bagel shop and bakery, this new restaurant also features a wide variety of New York Deli style sandwiches. For anyone who lives in the area, I highly recommend that you visit Brighton Beach Bagel and Bakery.
