Bobbie, the Office Manager is upfront about expected costs and has always communicated everything that needs to be done before the work is performed. I exclusively use Barb City Auto for a few reasons. First, theyre family owned and that in itself makes me want to give them my business. But more than that theyre extremely professional, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. I can bring a vehicle to John and his team and theyll know exactly what the issue is, how to fix it and how much to fix it within an hour or so. They get parts quick because theyre part of the Napa group and they get the work done quick. Bobby is also super personable and very professional. No nonsense, no games and no pushing to get upgrades or extras like a lot of the local chains. 10/10 use these guys for all of your vehicle needs. *Side note: They are GREAT with tires. They have a guy in the maintenance team who is a literal genius with tires*

Was extremely happy with my repair and the service received at Barb City. They kept me updated during the process and worked with my extended warranty company, even in doing so, the price charged for labor and parts was more than reasonable. They even provided a ride for me when I planned on calling Lyft. I’ll be returning for any repair and maintenance needs.

I was in the middle of a cross country road trip when I heard a grinding sound in my front end. I read great reviews of this spot and was close by so I decided to stop by. They were super kind, checked it out right away, addressed the problem (which was a very small, simple, and inexpensive fix) and let me know that my breaks would also need to be done soon but would last the rest of my trip home. They were good, honest folks who I’d highly recommend.

I’ve had a number of repairs done on multiple vehicles over the years and Barb City Auto has always been thorough and timely.My most recent repair was a starter for a Jeep Commander. They replaced the starter at a competitive price and on schedule. That starter wasn’t quite right so they replaced it immediately under warranty. Barb City Auto comes through again!

I have a lot of issues with my older vehicle--at least according to my last mechanic. I came to Barb City to get a 2nd opinion. While they corroborated two of the issues, they didnt give me a long list of encouraged repairs costing more than the total value of my car (like the last place did). Instead they thoroughly explained why their two suggestions would be important, though they werent pushy at all. They gave me a print out of the estimates of suggested repairs in great detail. If youd also like to avoid the salesman feel of other places while still getting solid work, Barb City is the place for you.

Went in to change a front headlight. They told me itd be $180 and an additional $25 for labor, claimed that it would be priced like that wherever I go. I went down the street and had it replaced in 5 minutes for $120 and they didnt even charge me for labor - I mean it is just screwing in a single lightbulb. Would have appreciated more honest pricing.

I took my F250 to another prominent shop in the area that could not find a solution to fix a brake issue so I took the truck to Barb City Auto. They knew exactly what to do to fix the problem and told me what the solution was before starting the work. I then called the other shop to tell them the solution. They still did not think the problem would be solved. Granted this issue was apparently difficult to solve but Barb City Auto fixed it good as new. I am extremely happy getting this repair made and in the future I will not be going to the other shop!

Called in to ask about an oil change, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Really friendly people. I was able to get in the same day I called. Only downside is that the lobby smelled like gasoline, so maybe drop off your car and come back for it, instead of waiting like I did.

Simply put, these guys are great! Good prices, plus very quality and quick service. Heres why they have my loyalty: about a year ago, I was seriously given a run around from the dealership where I originally purchased my car. Afterwards (a couple weeks - for a second opinion), I went to Barb City Auto, and they noticed that fluids hadnt actually been filled or replaced and I was about to pay for a lot of work that my car didnt need. That honesty is enough to keep me coming back and to write this review in the first place.

Free inspection on the lift! Who does that? Everyone else in town charges $50. Not only that they explain whats wrong and you choose what to do. No pressure. Real integrity. Not just trying to milk customers for whatever they can get. Will definitely be going back for all my repairs.
