Ive been dealing with optometrists my entire life. After 40 years, I have FINALLY found my eye doctor! Dr. Fogt was not only incredibly knowledgeable, he was warm, fun, and took his time to listen as well as inform. To have an optometrist not just familiar with new advancements in the field, but involved in the development of these advancements, is SUCH an asset to Defiance and the surrounding area. If youre looking for an optometrist, stop. Youve found the one youre looking for.

With our recent move to Defiance I wanted to find a great Optometrist in town. Dr Fogt was the highest reviewed so that settled that. He’s the rarest of the rare in that he is fully engaged and very personable. Takes plenty of time to explain the how’s and why’s, and apparently has endless patience in getting everything just right for you. (By that I mean me)I couldn’t be more impressed.

Had a wonderful appointment with my new eye doctor. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. Enjoyed his upbeat demeanor! Can’t wait for my contacts🤓

Today was my first time seeing Dr Fogt. These reviews are not lying! He took the time to ask about my needs. He informed me the condition my eyes are in. I didn’t feel rushed. Also, I think most people have some PTSD from getting the burst of air in their eyes to check for glaucoma. Well they don’t do the burst of air, they have a different technique. 🙌🏼

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Fogt. I recently started wearing multi focus lenses. This is his specialty! It is the first time that my contact lenses have properly fit in decades. It was the first time that I learned about my own vision problems and even how this contact lenses work. He is thorough, knowledgeable and genuinely cares. The staff is extremely friendly as well.

I recently moved to the area and was nervous to find a new eye doctor. I was happy with my choice of Dr. Fogt. He was easy to talk to and took the time to build conversation that gave me confidence of his ability not only to make sure I am getting the best eye care but also the best patient care. I wont go anywhere else! Dr. Fogt is not just professional but is patient and complete in making sure in all aspects of my eye care now and in the future. It is not easy growing old and its hard to understand the complexity of changes that eye care can present. When your a patient at this office, at any age, you know that your getting the very BEST!

Dr. Fogt has been my optometrist for over 10 years and luckily I havent had any major problems. Recently, I woke up with a serious eye-infection and I was due to fly out for vacation later that same morning. But before I cancelled the trip, I called his office to see if they could help me out. Dr. Fogt came in on his day off just to see me, diagnosed the infection, and wrote me a prescription that I filled on my way out of town. Dr. Fogt and his office went above and beyond to help me out and I am forever grateful. My only complaint is that I can only give 5 stars instead of 10!

Dr Fogt works wonders! He was patient with my daughter and found contacts for both of us that works with our specific needs. In just a couple weeks, my sensitivity to light and eye strain were almost gone! This man knows what he is doing for sure. And I will continue to see him and send everyone his way.

I went to Professional Vision Services and had a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly. The service was very quick. I did not wait at all. John Stehulak was the optometrist that worked with me and he was friendly and professional. I would definitely go back again and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I wanted to try contact lenses but I was told at other places I could not wear them because I have a nearsighted eye, a farsighted eye, and also needed bifocals. I went to Dr. Fogt several years ago and he fitted me for contacts and Ive been so pleased! We moved to Texas and continue to do our business with Dr. Fogt by setting up eye appointments when we visit our family in Ohio. He is the best! Update, we are now in Chicago and much closer so we continue to see Dr. Fogt!

I am now a patient at Professional Vision Services. I have had glasses for a number of years, but wanted to try contacts again. I tried contacts a few years back, but quickly discontinued using them due to comfort. I cant thank Dr. Fogt enough for helping me with my recent transition back into contacts. I have been a patient at Professional Vision Services since I was in junior high school, 18 years ago (which now makes me feel old). Over the years the staff has been wonderful - friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable. I have moved many times and currently live a few states away, but I still come back for a yearly check-up when visiting family. The office staff and Dr. Fogt are wonderful about getting me on short notice around the holidays and shipping me contacts wherever I happen to be living. If my contacts are backordered or Im running short, they have given me a pair out of their stock for no charge. My perscription has barely changed in 8 years and my eyes are as healthly as ever. I would highly recommend Professional Vision Services to anyone!
