I worked with Westborn Camera to trade some extra lenses I had for a 4x5 press camera. I was very happy with the trade and the follow up support they gave me as I started doing large format photography for the first time. They were very friendly and very helpful. From my experience, their equipment is described accurately. I would recommend them.

If you have anything to sell, dont take it here. We had a BUNCH of really cool vintage cameras that were in impeccable shape. The guys who served us looked at MAYBE 2 of our cameras and said there was no resale value and offered us 5 dollars for the whole lot!!! When we left, the jerk told us to go on ebay!! What a joke! Would not recommend!

Fantastic experience. Contacted them through email and my inquiry was answered promptly and thoroughly. I purchased my first film camera shortly after from here and couldnt have been happier with the price and quality. When I broke a part, they fixed it at no cost within a few minutes. I bought two other cameras that Im also extremely happy with. Cant wait to visit again !

Sold me a camera off eBay that needed a CLA. Was not clear about this in the purchase, did not accept a return. Bought insurance, said they would not cover it because it was broken before it got to me. Highly recommend steering clear of this business, they do not sell reliable used cameras. I will have to pay as much as I paid for the camera to fix the shutter now despite it being described as a working shutter with a light layer of oil. Very disappointing.

Friendly staff and fair trade in values. Was happy with the service I received even during the curbside service. Will definitely go back if I have other gear to sell as well as to check out the items in the store.

They have a vast selection of cameras, accessories and more, you can check what they have on their eBay store page first and come by and pick it up later, personnel are true experts and they will always help you with any questions you have and even recommend alternatives.

Looks like huge selection of anything and everything camera. I came in and had them evaluate some old cameras to see if any worth or not. Very helpful and pleasant to me.

I purchased a lens from them on ebay. They mistakenly sent me the wrong lens mount but the correct lens make and model. With minimal communication on my part they sent me the correct lens for my camera. I am very happy with the condition of the lens and the customer service. While I live many states away in PA I will make an effort to purchase from them again.

I was in town for a family event and I had a broken filter on my camera so I came in and Joel was really helpful in helping me clean it out and remove the filter. He also had some suggestions for lenses in the future. I had a great experience here and appreciate their time a lot

I get everything done here. Classy clean and modern. Knowledgeable staff. Services keep expanding and new frame collection is top notch. Ive yet to master file transfer but Im sure its just me.

Loved coming here when I started my photography career. I was able to buy lenses really cheap! I also traded in gear once in a while and that helped me upgrade really easily. Everyone here is so kind and they make sure you get the best deal!

This is best camera shop I visited. They have all different types cameras and lenses for nikkon, Canon, Sony etc, and accessories less than half price.The guy is too friendly and provides you best suggestions and guidance.The charges for repairs usually charge minimum, exchanges lenses done here

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Joel Auten is a real businessman. Very friendly gentleman and knows what he is talking about. Great prices! I wish I would of known about this store earlier. I just happened to be in the area and Siri, my personal assistant found this store. Their used cameras are new actually. The only thing difference between them is the lack of box, but who gives a damn tho!? Who films with a box.The only thing I wish the store had was a sign because I wasnt able to find the location that easily. I really hope this chain opens up in more locations. This is the best camera shop you can find here in Michigan. I have been to Westborn multiple times now, and each time I felt that they cared to listen, and provided me with appropriate guidance. I am from Lansing, and have tried many camera stores, but these guys were the best who offered me the best value for my trade-ins, and best price to buy a used gear. Unfortunately they dont carry any new gear, but thats why we have B&H and other online stores. Just to give you an example, to clean my DSLR sensor the camera shop here in Lansing quoted me $80 plus leaving the camera with them for a day or two. Westborn only charged me $25, and they did it in 15 to 20 minutes while I was waiting there, and showed me the before and after results. I am very pleased with how they handle their customers, and with the experience I had so far I will recommend them as the best you can find.

Nice place they offer good prices when selling. But he literally rejected my excellent condition Sony Alpha a5000 camera because he said that something is in my memory card slot. When literally there is nothing wrong with it. He was purposely inserting it on an angle to make it seem as if something is wrong. I went back to my car did it myself with zero problems. I just don’t think he wanted to buy it. Great camera I just wanted to get rid of it because I’m getting a different brand.

I was planning on going to a 3 day event but needed another battery charger. mine melted on the stove. Westborn Camera ordered one and sold me a spare battery at a really good price, they really came through. I have been there a few afterwards and highly recommend them to others

Unbelievable range of Nikon items, not so expensive (but customs are), reliable, efficient.Can we expect more ? I bought a Nikkor 2/28 of the very first run in box, matching and quite above description. Highly recommanded. And Im not a spam robot nor a member of the team (regrets).

I often wondered in the past about how true some reviews are from some companies, but I want to write a TRUE & ACCURATE review for Westborn Camera in Dearborn, MI. I went in Westborn with what seemed like and unfixable flash-trigger issue (from a different camera stores product), because Ive shopped there in the past. Joel from Westborn saw how sad and defeated I seemed, and quickly put me at ease. He tried to fix my flash-trigger issue, but thru trial & error we could not disconnect the trigger from the flash. Joel ultimately found another resolution, and resolved my issue. He didnt know it, but he made a customer for life.He was very knowledgeable, kind, patient, etc. and I appreciate his professionalism so much!! Thank you again Joel at Westborn Camera so kindly for your help!!!!

Drove 40 miles for a tripod i called on and 2 hours later they sold it knowing i was driving so far. I will never return here again.. I thought i found a good supplier but was i mistaken. Didnt seem to wanna help me with a different tripod on top of it...

Great place to buy used digital photographic equipment (at the Dearborn store). Film equipment is on line at EBay. Also they buy equipment that is not needed any more or they will do trades.

Bought a Rollei SL66 hand grip from their eBay store on a Friday, and on Thursday of the next week they notified me that they lost it and cancelled the order, and refunded my money. It took them 6 days just to notify me of this? I should have received it by that amount of time! They also gave eBay the reason for cancelling was that Buyer cancelled - NOT true! Now I have no product, and am without my money for what....10 days? Really? Im sure they sold it to someone else and are trying to cover up their mistake. I loathe dishonesty and lack of integrity. Pfft!!

I have to make a lot of good pictures for some items I want to sell online.My phone cant do that. So I turned to my Canon PowerShot Elf 110 who just stopped to work and decided that I have to get it repaired for my job.Searching online a place with good reviews where I can go there to have my Camera repaired, I chose this place in Dearborn.Waouh!The very friendly young man took all his time to see if he can repair my Camera. I told him I dont have money to buy a new one now and that I need a Camera. What to say?My camera cant be fixed, its dead. But I had a consolation, an used Canon PowerShot SD1000 who is still working, and this for free. With its charger.I still asking myself if I am not dreaming.They are selling new and used items too. I bought a used tripod for my Camera for only $10. Its like a new one.Believe me, we still have people with good heart who love their job out there.
