My wife & I found this place accidentally while touring the Wright Brothers places in Dayton. The Esther Price candy store was great. The people there were fantastic. If you like chocolate, it is a must place to stop.

This place offers soooo much different chocolate options, over raisins, coffee beans, chips, pretzels, they also have candies, and other variety things that they sell aswell.. here I picked up the trail mix and their Turtles

Had never been here but stopped in while in Ohio. Was pleasently surprised with the assortment of chocolates.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT SHOPPING HERE. Terrible customer service. My mother and I went shopping and she purchased an $18 picture frame as a wedding gift for me from the Wayne St store. Only problem was it was cracked on the backside and i didn’t notice until i was home admiring it. There was no box and it was wrapping in nothing but thin tissue paper. It then cracked on the front. I called the store and spoke to a call center rep who told me they would replace it since i had the receipt, but i had to go back to the store. So i drove an hour out of my way to the store. They did not replace it, the manager would not speak to me. The manager instead has the worker girl walk back and forth to communicate with me. Very aggravating. I called the customer service number again and spoke to Rachel Emerson. She said it is what it is; no replacement. Wasting my time and gas money. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. They overcharge for clearly cheap-made items and terrible customer service. I would give them no stars if it were possible.

The best! The chocolate is amazing and the service can’t be beat. You should visit the store at least once for the historic value alone. They have great sales and will make you a custom box of your favorites. A Dayton treasure

If you like candy then this is your place. Great assortment of chocolates. They even have samples for you to try. Nice location good layout and friendly staff. I have driven by for years but never stopped. Wishing I stopped a lot sooner. I will be back for sure.

The place was spotless and the employees were amazing! One heard me mutter a question and then a couple minutes later came over and answered it! Fantastic. They also have a dog named licorice that was extremely well behaved. Didnt move a muscle 😉😄

No longer restroom available so had to leave as nature called. Too hot to order chocolates in a large amount. No samples offered even after buying a pound at close to $20.00

This place has the BEST candy ever! My favorites are always the Chocolate covered Potato Chips. Anytime I am in town I usually buy quite a bit and bring it back to Florida with me!

I was a bit disappointed that you couldnt pick & choose individual pieces to fill a half or full pound box. But the Dark Chocolate Caramel Almond with Sea Salt was delicious! And the Dark Chocolate Almond Bark was too! I may have to go back tomorrow for more!

EVERY time I am in town, we stop in here and pick up several boxes to take home. LOTS of FREE samples ( PILES ) to taste test. Lots of free parking, easy to get to, friendly folks. ALL kinds of chocolate, sugar free etc. Too many to choose from! Bummer! More for me. Good thing I dont next to this place. Order online for XMAS! YUM!

My Grandmother Margaret started taking me here when I was about twelve years old. I still go, even tho she has been gone many a year now. I always think of her when I visit this delicious candy store. We always opened the box of chocolates on the way home and ate as many as we could. Grandfather got what was left, his favorite was the chocolate covered cherries. Great memories and great candies!

Its nice inside but bei g a vulnerable person i wanted curb side pick up and they stated they did this but when i arrived i called for 15 minutes noone andwered i finally had to go inside which is what i was trying to avoid. They should have a dedicated person to answer the extension they told me to call and its the holidays they know they will be busy make enough supply was limited but there candy is amazing

Been going here since I was a baby. Always clean, nice, friendly and helpful. I dont think Ive ever had a bad experience here. Not even so much as a little attitude from an employee, never, not once. And of course, the chocolate is amazing. Always an enjoyable visit.

I never thought I would write anything like this about Esther Price candies given the history I have with this company. I have enjoyed the product for over 50 years. I have fond memories of my grandfather every Easter purchasing candy for every member of our family for over 40 years until his death. What I have been through the last 9 days its unimaginable. I did not want to go public with it because I have always appreciated their establishment and reputation, yet I have decided to go public as I could not sit back and be silent allowing this to happen to anyone else especially a senior citizen on disability such as myself. I ordered a box of chocolates for a friend who is not doing well physically. I was charged twice. Two pending charges were finalized. My credit card was declined at Walgreens as I attempted to pick up my medication because of the extra charge that I did not authorize with Ester Price (there was only one order on my part). I had to call Esther Price candies repeatedly at they did not believe me accusing me of a scam. During my fourth phone call the company admitted that two charges happened to everyone who ordered online from the preceding night. I finally received my refund 7 days later after being told the refund would be on my card the following morning. Clearly it was not which led to more calls and being hung up on the phone three times. I went three days without my medication as I waited for my next disability check. I knew my finances would be low but I really wanted to send a box of chocolates to my friend cheer her up and I left enough on my card for my medication. A woman named Laura who has been handling all this is an absolute nightmare and the most despicable person in the history of customer service. On October 2nd she admitted this happened to several customers and the following day on October 3rd she told me she did not believe me and she wanted evidence and for me to bring the evidence to the store. I was incredibly insulted especially with her having knowledge this happened to other customers. Reluctantly I emailed the evidence. On October 6th I received an email telling me that the chocolates have been shipped on October 5th. Yet my friend received them on Oct 3rd which is a Saturday yet Laura claimed the company does not deliver on Saturday. Due to more confusion I called and once again I was put through to Lauren. She told me I never received such an email and it doesnt exist. In a total of 40 minutes she hung up on me 5 times. I kept asking to speak to any other employee other than her and she said I was not allowed. I said fine I will come to the store in person to speak to somebody and she said were locking the doors and we are not going to let you in.There is a very sweet woman in Cincinnati at the location on Montgomery Road that has attempted to do everything she can to come up with a solution to this mess. I am very grateful to Karen at that store.Lauren has too much power and authority to treat people like this.Im encouraging everyone at this point to consider purchasing their candies with Russell Stover. Do not put yourself in the position with a company which continuously makes mistakes and blames it on what Lauren calls stupid computers.Thus, as a good Christian man I ordered a box of chocolates for a suffering friend and I have been accused of being deceitful and accused of attempting to scam and have been told Im not allowed in the store.I never once made a threat or used foul language. My many memories of those wonderful Easters are now ruined. I hope the company does the right thing. Not for me. But for others. I am not in good health, hence being on disability, I cant fight them anymore. They dont win though.

From chocolate-covered cherries to chocolate covered [Mike Sells] potato chips, theyve got it all.They ship their chocolates to local stores, but I always come to the main location on Wayne Avenue.Oh, they have free samples as well.A proud tradition and a great place.

I shopped today at the original store on Wayne Ave., and i always enjoy the experience! There were lots of shoppers and plenty of employees to provide great service! I purchased my favorite, Carmel Pecans ( like turtles) and they are the best! Merry Christmas to me!

Previous to this visit I hadnt stepped into an ester price Store in roughly 15 years. My family and I were on Easter Bunny Hunt and stopped by because of waiting bunny out front.Overall the inside was laid out well there was a plethora of Hell book handy in all of their varieties. The staff was super friendly, the bunny was amazing, and we have now returned two times since Easter.I really like this location and I recommend to check it out.

I hadn’t had Esther Price Chocolate in years. But since I just realized that it star ed here in Dayton, I figured it would be good to stop by. I needed a birthday gift for my mother-in-law and chocolate is my go-to. I was happy to find a box of mixed dark chocolates for about $9. Not bad. I also got to sample a few pieces while shopping. I think it’s awesome of them to offer that.I have to say that it’s still not my favorite. And I’m bummed that you can’t create your own mixed box. And I do feel these are a little over priced considering the quality/texture/flavor. But it was good to hit up a local spot with history.
