Mike the owner is definitely the best in the business. He services over 15 of our company vehicles as well as most of our personal cars. Some of our vans are eight years old and with Tropical Performance maintaining them we have never had any major issues with any of our fleet. If you’re not using them you’re making a mistake!

He had me with 5 cars, but no more.Did you ever hear of the term Sabra, a native born? Israelis will explain it like this - This is Michael Graff - in a moment you feel so close to him, but at the same time you are oh so far!! Another description for greed and selfishness. Simply called to schedule an appointment for a vehicle inspection - Im assuming that I was speaking to the owner. After a brief terribly unpleasant conversation to schedule an appointment, I asked for the address ...You would have thought I asked him to compile his tax records for the past ten years, Just giving me the address I felt like I was consuming every last bit of this mans time as well as speaking to someone whom absolutely hates speaking to Americans ...Thats the only conclusion I can come to, thats how unpleasant this mans communication was ...his intonation, his assumption of ones familiarity with the process of inspection, even his assumption that one should automatically be familiar with his address ...and you better write his address down correctly the first time, because combined with his powerful accent and as fast as he rattles it off, you can barely understand him. I hope that I just have this all wrong and my appointment goes well but Im really not expecting much of a difference. If it turns out to be a pleasant experience, I will absolutely amend this post, if not, well then youre reading what youre reading. AMENDMENT: I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and was not acknowledged upon entering the establishment, I just stood there while the gentleman behind the counter ate his lunch. While standing there, I noticed that the shop was clean and organized which is always a good thing as far as shops are concerned. I was told I would need to come back at my appointment time (but in all fairness I believe this was only because the necessary employee was on lunch, fair enough) After walking back inside exactly 10 minutes later, I was promptly taken care of and given a form to fill out. My time is important to me and my appointment time was honored, that was another plus. I was not kept waiting at all and when a woman appeared behind the counter she was very polite, she told me that they had already faxed the necessary paper work over to my insurance and offered to handle any future problems that I may have with any car. The gentleman, Im assuming once again the owner, was anything but gregarious, but that isnt a crime and the real question that unfortunately I cant answer because I was only there for an inspection, is what is the consistency and quality of auto repair service. However, based upon the state of the shop, appearances, and the ease and speed in which they handled me, I did get a general impression of competence. The place seemed fine for a guy, but would I send my wife? No. My wife for example, would have a lot more questions than myself and I just didnt get the impression that this gentleman had an ounce of patience for anyone that doesnt already posses a slightly above average knowledge of shop talk.

I am so lucky to have found Mike & his crew. Fair, honest, and quality work. Even though I work at a dealership I bring my personal cars here.

Honest and reliable. Mike has helped me out of a bind several times. He’s also helped my kids as well. I recommend! He’s the only guy who’s been able to fix things on my truck that I was quoted wayyyyy higher. I moved here to Cooper City three years ago and I’m thankful that I found him.

Have gone here twice once for inspection and once for a quick fix and they worked fast and honest.- they where honest with my options and provided cost effective options.

My Toyota truck was giving me stalling problems for almost 9 months. Brought truck to 2 different mechanics who couldnt figure out problem after multiple visits. Brought it to Tropical Performance after they were referred by a friend. Mike was very nice, explained to me daily each step he took to root out the problem. Mike/Tropical Performance found the problem, fixed it. Trucks finally running great, no more stalling. Was charged extremely fairly(less than I thought). Two thumbs up.

Mike went above and beyond to ensure My service was performed correctly everything is running well with my car and I really appreciate his time and attention to the detail I am coming back soon for another minor repair on my car and I would highly recommend him to family and friends

I got no help for my car from other shops or even the dealership! Mike checked out my car last week, he answered questions, and gave me a couple of options, and in in my case, he didnt even charge me! Now, you want a shop that will lavish you with free WiFi, coffee, HD T.V., and a crazy high repair bill, go to the dealership. If you want a capable mechanic, honesty and good prices, GO SEE MIKE. I tried him out because a couple of my friends use him, now I know why.

Horrible customer service from owner! I just left there without being serviced as the owner berrated me with the assumption I arrived late for my appointment. Mind you I came in and was halfway greeted by the receptionist who failed to defend me to the owner when he stated I was not there at 12:30. Then he told me he needs a few minutes before helping me as he mumbled under his breath about me not being there. Being shocked and appalled by the back and forth, I decided to take my car elsewhere. The job was simple. Pre-insurance inspection. Maybe the owner has an issue with doing these as he was rude to me from the moment I made the appointment over the phone to me leaving the shop.

I keep on coming back to this place, they are always fair with their price and do a great job fast.
