Ill start off by saying that all issues were resolved in the end, but it was a long painful process of getting there.Sales process was enjoyable, they then asked if they could do it in the middle of winter but I wanted to hold off till spring, which they were fine with. They called me up on a Thursday saying theyd like to start in the morning. I said, no problem.45 minutes later, that same day, while we have family over since it was a nice day, 7 or 8 people jump over the fence and just start ripping siding off. No knock on the door, no call saying they were going to start today.Day 1 of teardown is over and as you can see from the picture, just left nails and hardware all over the backyard while we have three dogs.Day 2, they start installing siding and as you can see from the other pictures, craftmanship was nonexistent. Using a box cutter to cut a circular hole for a spigot, not dressing wires/cables, and my favorite of all... They pulled the EXHAUST from my natural gas hot water heater OFF of the heater, jammed it back into the hole (not attached to anything) and then sealed around it. Had I not noticed, my water heater would have been just pumping carbon monoxide filled exhaust gas into my basement.I also realized later that they went into my garage, flipped off all breakers and then just left them like that to where my security cameras werent powered anymore.I then called and complained all of this, they were apologetic and said the foreman would be calling me. No call. People randomly show up when Im not home. They fixed some stuff. Repeat process a couple more times.Not once did anyone that actually worked for suburban come out to discuss the workmanship but they somehow found the time to come and put a sign up and take 1 picture from the road.In the end, the job done is okay but working with them was a painful process.I think the issue is that they have so many crews and some crews might do a great job with a great foreman that knows what theyre doing. I definitely didnt get that crew.

In 2011, Suburban installed siding, gutters, gutter guards and shutters on our home. In 2016 we called Suburban again and they installed a new front door, side window, garage man door and two screen doors. We worked with JR on each project and he was great about helping us to choose product that met our tastes and our needs. The quality is wonderful and we continue to be happy with all of the work. Even more amazing is our recent contact with Suburban. We had a different company install windows in 2010 with a lifetime warranty but that only works if they are still in business. We were having trouble with the handle cranks on a couple of windows and not sure where to turn. We called Suburban and even though they had not installed the windows, they came to the rescue. Everyone at Suburban (JR, the office staff and the window tech) was understanding, professional and helpful. The window tech was in and out in 10 minutes but it meant so much to us. They truly understand customer service. We are extremely happy with Suburban!

I recently bought a house, whose windows were installed by Suburban Construction over 10 years ago. One of the latches was not working, and neither my friends nor the handymen I hired could fix it, so once I tracked down that Suburban had done the window installation, I called them. They sent out a technician, Dan, and Dan is worth his weight in gold! He fixed it pretty quick, checked all my other windows, and taught me a bit about my old house. I had initially balked at the $225 service call fee theyd quoted to just have him come out for a single latch, especially if it would come down to having to replace the window anyway, but luckily, it did NOT come to that, and Im thrilled that I can lock my window now. Thank you, Dan!

My project with Suburban Construction included all new windows, siding, gutters, and two exterior doors. I worked with JR on the initial quote and planning phase. He was very knowledgeable and friendly as were all the staff. They took great interest in what I wanted to accomplish and how I could achieve my goals. Their show room was well laid out with excellent displays for all the products and services they offer.The construction crew was very courteous and friendly. They were hard working, punctual, and extremely efficient with their time. I was very pleased with the end result. When I did have a couple issues that arose, they were quick to address my concerns and resolve. Upon completion of the project, there were some nails and small debris remaining in the yard. Considering this was done during February with snow on the ground, this is to be expected and they did their best to pick up what they could see.My overall experience from quote, to planning, to install, was excellent. The cost was affordable and included a warranty on all products. It was a pleasure dealing with such a great team of friendly and professional people. Awesome company. We had them put our windows in. Which they are great and that was some years ago. We had them put our siding up last summer and its just as great. Infact I had called around and received different quotes and Suburban gave us the best price. Im so happy with them.

We didnt have Google to leave comments about 20 years ago, so Im leaving my criticism now. When I accepted M&Is bid for having our siding and windows done, the owner of Suburban called me up on the phone and called me a hillbilly. Very unprofessional.I dont know how Suburban is now, but Im glad I chose M&I at the time because of the owner. And they owe me this complaint for a long time.

Signed a contract in October, finally called in January, said they’ll have the crew leader call me, no response, called again in March. When a Competent person showed up to do the work on a Saturday they did an excellent job.

Super disappointed in this company. Just purchased a home with Suburban Construction sliding glass door. The door was purchased less than 3 years ago at a price tag of over $5,000... 1 sliding glass door. Apparently there is a life time warranty for the original owners, yet the door is falling apart on us... we closed on this house literally a week ago. I called the company to just ask if there was anything they can do and obviously it is upsetting moving into a new home and all the expenses we already paid... we obviously paid the sellers who purchased the door and yet the life time warranty is not life time for us this is very misleading and unfortunate. It is frustrating, but I am a reasonable person and understand policy is policy, but then the way the woman who answered the phone spoke to me was completely rude. I will never do business with this company again, they clearly in the nature of taking your money and not looking back. If you work in customer service, half of your job is to just listen to the needs of your customer, and they were unwilling to even listen to me and or provide options. I mean you couldnt even say I understand this is frustrating, but here is what we can do, or I am sorry to hear that... I got no remorse, I was told I need to pay them to come look at the door... for a service fee. Why would I ever go back to them. Clearly they have faulty workman ship, or low quality products they are trying to pass as not, Why would I ever go to them again? I dont understand how rude people are who work at this company. So disappointing. Will not be going back, and dont want to patronize a store that treats people this way.Also, the owner called me and yelled at me and said I am crazy and ridiculous because he doesnt like my perspective he said, you people go on the internet and lie.... I am not sorry! I think your life time warranty is misleading because it is! You ought to call it something else. (But you are right, policy is policy and you guys got us) Also, the fact that your customer service rep nor you could even just say hey sorry about the problems you are having with the product and workman ship... this isnt right... here is how we can help... here is a repair discount, or hey we will do it no charge... or just something... Instead, I was told twice I would be charged a service fee for someone to come look at it... (I obviously will go somewhere else to fix the door, they put it in originally, I dont trust them to do the repair, obviously something wasnt done correctly)I am just leaving this as Buyer Beware. I hope they change their business practice and business model and maybe this will help the next customer. I dont think it is right for a company to not take any responsibility and at minimum be helpful when something isnt right. That is all. This company isnt very fair and there are better companies out there that offer better quality service, again a lot of this is just interpersonal skills that they really ought to work on.Just treat people with respect.Best,

We ordered two back doors...an outer door and a screen door. We were so happy with the quality of work they did. They also were very easy to deal with. They came out to measure twice. I would highly recommend them and their work.

The craftsmanship and price is unparalleled. We priced virtually every window company in the quad cities and 30 miles out and we chose them. They don’t pressure you into signing a contract for your whole house for a discount. The windows are guaranteed for your lifetime. The same price per window no matter how quickly you do your whole house. No questions. You can get wood grain texture. We had issues with the previous owners using spray foam in the windows which created huge problems. This wasn’t something that could be expected when they came and made their bid. The price didn’t change and the work became much more arduous. I appreciate the the workmanship and the cleanliness of the company. I highly recommend.

They didnt clean up after themselves and they were disorganized. They did not get to put a sign in our front yard. I do not recommend them for windows. The salesman was unprofessional. Thank goodness for contracts. You are better off buying your own windows out right and hiring a trusted contractor for work being done. I guess you live and learn.

Suburban built a wonderful 3-seasons room onto our home, have installed gutters on our shed, replaced our patio doors, and most recently installed new storm doors on the front of our house. Very untimely getting to us at all after the hail storm in April. Finally came and didnt caulk properly (had to return several times) and also stained our siding under a bedroom window after repairing the window wrap. Came out several times to try to clean the stain they left only making the area worse. Darin came out and used a magic eraser and said the matter is now closed.

JR was genuinely apologetic about how messy the situation got and sincerely wanted me to walk away happy and satisfied.I have had a terrible experience with Suburban trying to get my basement Windows installed. After dealing with them for the last 7 weeks (beyond the 8 they said it would take) I have literally been brought to tears. They have not called/emailed me back several times as well as scheduled and cancelled several times. I am waiting for their ONE guy who can wrap Windows well and he is always backed up. J.R. Has been unsympathetic and simply reminded me that I signed a contract.
