I went into Ulta a few weeks ago and had the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was helped by a young woman named Elena, I have never been very good with makeup or self care products so I was really looking for some help not only to purchase but to learn. She constantly made me feel rushed as if she didn’t want to waste the time with helping me and seemed offended when I didn’t immediately like her suggestions. When I asked her about certainMakeup shades she said they would make my teeth look more yellow. I was completely embarrassed. I would not recommend coming here. Maybe I’d have a better experience with someone else but for my first time coming here, this wasn’t a very good first impression.

I usually enjoy shopping here. Unfortunately I’ve noticed a pattern of what seems to be racial discrimination. Every time I enter the store I’ve never asked what I need to be helped with or what I am looking for. Where is the other women and men, not of color were asked and helped by multiple sales associates. The only associate that Was helpful, was Elena.

Was asked what I was looking for right when I walked in the door and ended up being walked back to it by an employee who was then really pushy with a recommendation for another product. They acted offended when I said I preferred to stick with what I’d been using (which was less expensive and works fine for me). I didn’t ask for a rec nor the attitude when I decided not to take it - it made me pretty uncomfortable. This was my first experience walking in to an Ulta, and I won’t be back

I went here to purchase some perfume that I ran out of and ended up leaving with a couple more wonderful scents and some others goodies that were travel size and half the price of a regular size item just to try out a different variety of cosmetics. Great customer service.

Barely walked into the store and was bombarded with associates asking if I needed help. It made it hard to shop. By the time the 4th associate asked me. I told them to stop asking me when I have just barely walked into the store. I was clearly agitated. The associate then LAUGHED and walked away. I almost dropped all the products and walked out. The cashier I checked out with, however, was very nice.

The whole staff was friendly and helpful. Riley went above and beyond. I had a bunch of questions and wasnt sure exactly what I needed. Riley answered all of my questions and concerns and made sure I left with the right products.

I think they need associates who are more product knowledgeable

I ordered some false lashes and Benefit Gimmie Brow online. When I received my shipment there was no gimmie brow, the most expensive item, and this nasty blue body scrub I didn’t order in the first place that somebody had already opened! I want my money back and I am mad Ulta’s Warehouse can’t be trusted.

My wife likes it. They are quick which I like lol.

Ive been treated kind of rudely a few times, but thats not a reflection of the whole staff. Cant knock people too hard for having a bad day.

Everytime I come to this Ulta for the free gift with purchase, they are ALWAYS out of stock. I have come 5 different times for 5 different sales...always on the first day of the sale, so I dont miss out, and I have NEVER gotten a gift with purchase because they are out. I hate that this is the only store in Davenport. I am tired of wasting my time everytime I try and come here. I have yet to buy anything in the past 3 months cause they are out of products that I want or they dont have any Gifts with Purchase products available.

They are always friendly, helpful, and I love their inventory.

My grandmother came into this location looking for some help with her eyebrows and a sales rep referred to her as that old lady MY GRANDMA WAS WITHIN EARSHOT. She was so hurt and embarrassed she immediately left the store. This is unacceptable. Severely disappointed we will not be bringing our business back. With a mission statement that includes Everyday we use the power of beauty to bring to life the possibilities that lie within EACH OF US... you clearly have staff that does not live out your mission.

One of my favorite places in the world to go. Everyone is always nice and greats when I walk in and talk like they care. I am a makeup artist and the ones that know me always show me new products that come out

Just a quick stop for a gift to buy. Staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting me. They answered my questions about my gift purchase in making sure I received the right product.

Had a amazing experience at Ulta. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. Their Mac makeup artist Karen was more then perfect!! I have dark face tattoos and she was able to cover and blend them perfectly!

Ive never had anything but great experiences at this Ulta. I had a rough time letting anyone do anything with my hair after my sister passed away suddenly a few years ago because she was my stylist for so long. My boyfriend talked me into trying the salon at Ulta and Ive never been so glad. Although all the stylists are great and I love how personable and easy to talk to they all are, Diana is my miracle worker. With her work and recommendations I went from box- dyed black with bleached blonde under on only one section (over- processed, damaged, breaking, etc.) To what I have now. She was able to color correct my mistakes over time but in the process she gave me a color and style I could live with. When I went back recently and asked for a red shade she perfectly gave me what I needed for my skin tone and gave me a style that worked for my fine hair, made expert product recommendations that have brought softness and body and life back to my hair. The girls here are so sweet and attentive. I have always had great customer service with beauty purchases and returns too. I appreciate that the people are helpful and knowledgeable and never pushy! I cant say enough great things about this location. 🥰

Good store and kind staff

Four months ago I walked in to this location totally lost. Entering my late thirties has thrown me for a loop navigating skin care and cosmetics. Lexi in the Clinique section was surely an angel for me that day. She spoke kindly spending an extraordinary amount of time creating a skin care routine and assisting me with cosmetics that were suited for me. My skin has never looked better and each time I have visited the location to restock my items, she greets me with a smile and compliments me on the change in my skin. Phenomenal employee you have, please recognize her for her ability to always go above and beyond!

I love Ulta because they sell my hair vitamins, and it’s a really clean store! They just need to lower their prices on a lot of their items because slot of the items are overpriced!

The employees have no knowledge of their products instead just try to wing it without listening to the customer. When you try to explain to them that is not what you are looking for they get snarky and have an attitude.

We really enjoyed searching ulta for bargains today!! Walking into the store is such a treat... always a delicious scent🥰

This is the only beauty store I know of in the Quad Cities that carries more than just one high end brand of make-up. Prices are very fair for the quality of make-up one would buy and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Im a very porcelain skinned patron and they actually color match me in everything I would need; NO more guessing! My first stop would always be at Ulta before purchasing any untried make-up beyond Ulta or online. Unless you KNOW what you need, this is the place to go.

Helpful people around the store, but not enough people at the registers. The line was half way to the back of the store and only 3 at the registers. I decided it wasnt worth the wait.

Associates were VERY helpful and I got asked multiple times if I needed help. This exceeded my normal expectations, when I had gone here in the past I have been ignored and walked out many times. Very positive experience this time! Awesome deals today as well!

Uhh, really Ulta? You’re going to advertise a sale that’s only available to certain levels of followers, even though I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of money with you in the last three weeks? That’s cool, Sephora has better rewards, so I’ll stick with them. Their associates are more friendly too.

Use to be my go to store. However after one of the employees asked how I could shop there after I spent 350$ I replied I had a very good job. Her smart reply was welfare must pay really well. Ill never be back Sephora now is my go to place

Mark Becker at the Davenport Ulta is the best hair stylist in the Quad Cities! He always gives me a fabulous cut and color! I really cant recommend him highly enough. An appointment with Mark is like a mini vacation. If youre not happy with your current stylist, need a better color or a fresh cut, go see Mark. You cant get a better experience anywhere else.

Best hair experience of my life with mark in the salon he is amazing! He is a high end hair stylist, I’m so lucky to have found him. If you get a chance you need to book an appointment with him to experience it!

Wide selection and convenient location. Long lines and if there are staff on the floor, they dont seem interested in helping. You should know what you want before you go in and be willing to find it on your own.

My wife loves this place. Staff is kind and extremely helpful. In sure I will be purchasing a lot from this place again. Just ask wife.

I go to this store at least once a month to get my brows done (Seajaye, Ill never go anywhere else!) and often I stop by to refresh items in my beauty collection. Let me say that these employees are some of the best in the biz! They are so kind and help me find exactly what I need, and theyre always ready for a laugh! Theyre exceptional and they will never lose my patronage.

I had the best experience here. First visit, needed a curling iron for a kid in dance and I had no idea how to style the hair. Not only did they help us find the right one at a reasonable price, but the stylist sat my daughter down and gave us a lesson on how the heck to make the outrageous curls required. Everyone was helpful and friendly, all over the store, and it was a crowded, hectic Saturday afternoon. I did spend way too much money, only down side.

Ok place. A lot of stuff packed in. Sample areas could use a good cleaning and refreshed. Everyone very friendly and helpful.

Loved it. They have everything. Wasnt as expensive as I thought it would be.

Customer service was great once we were able to find assistance. Very busy, buy very knowledgable staff.

The pricing is outrageous. I paid $180 for a cut and highlights. Not an all over color, mind you, highlights. I liked my stylist a LOT, but for that money youd better make me look fabulous. Just because I paid $180 doesnt mean I walked out looking like I spent $180 on my hair. I wont go back.

Always friendly and helpful employees, and a wide selection of good products. A bit pricy, but the quality is usually worth it.

Great service

I was greeted and staff was very friendly. I found everthing I needed and they held onto the products for me during my eyebrow appointment. One lady helped me with color matching and it was a perfect match. Im glad that she was there that day! She really helped me figure out my undertones. My brow appointment however was a terrible result I told her I specifically dont like long eyebrow tails that go all the way down to my outer corner, i like straight like brows. I guess I shouldve spoken up since she gave me boomerang brows..

Wow! I am reading these comments and asking myself if we go to the same place. I have been going to Ultra since it first opened and have never been treated rudely. CJ does my brows and she is awesome. Becky helped me so much when my daughter-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. I recently moved to Indiana but come back to the Quad Cities often and Ultra is always on my list of go to places when I am there.

5 stars again for another visit to Ulta. Everyone is helpful and will assist you in finding what youre looking for and answer any questions.This visit the Clinique rep. answered my questions about an eyeshadow pallet.In addition, she gave me a free sample of a Clinique moisturizer.Theyve got holiday pallets in for many brands!Get shopping so you dont miss out!

Any other time salespeople would immediately greet you and ask if you needed help finding things, not today. It took standing in front of the cashier to ask about a palette. Guess it is a good thing I can order it elsewhere since the staff did not want to help. The only advantage I had going in was to see the colors in person.Also, some of the aisle ways were overly cluttered with stock waiting to be put away and on clearance making it difficult to see products on shelves.

Ulta is an awesome store a great selection and helpful staff sadly the restroom is in dire need of a cleaning and paint.The restroom takes away from the over all beauty experience.

Ive moved quite a lot and this Ulta in my opinion has the worst customer service of all Ive been to before...The many times Ive been there, it was consistently bad... I even stopped going to Ulta although its one of my favorite places to shop at... Hopefully, the service will get better

Nice store. The temperature in the winter is very warm inside. It is very uncomfortable to shop when you have your coat on and long sleeves.

I didnt have my make up done when I went it because I had worked 3rd shift the night before. I had never been treated so badly. The ladies working there would laugh at me for picking out an urban decay pallet like I didnt know what I was doing. Then they were out of the flexitarian by colour pop and the lady behind the counter said she would give me a free shipping coupon. Probably thinking id never use the coupon she gave me an expired one. I am so pissed!! Seeing how I have the platinum membership my business should be important to you. There wont be a next time for davenport Ulta.

Love the diversity they offer. Staff is always helpful, but they need some help, they all look overwhelmed, trying to keep things in order around the store.

The sales clerks were helpful but they cut back on so many products that the items Im looking for they no longer carry. Very disappointed that way.

Really friendly and helpful staff. I can not say enough good things about Mark in the salon! He is a pro with cut and color and works wonders with my hair. I am product-obsessed, so this place has everything I want and NOW they even carry iT! Cosmetics, which makes the best concealer Ive ever tried. I could only get that online before, so Im really happy I can just go pick up what I want now.

The male working in the cosmetic area is terrible. I’ve returned everything he has ever color matched me for. He matches you for foundation over what you are currently wearing. He is snarky and arrogant. I cringe when I go there and he is the one working. I always feel like I’d be rude to request someone else. Will never buy anything he recommends again.

The way it is now, Ulta can get rid of all their floor clerks, because I get out my phone and research the items. Or I research before I step foot in. Or I shop Sephora. When asked while checking out if I found everything okay, it does absolutely no good to tell the associate, no, I had trouble, no one would help. They say n o t h I n g. Ulta, are you listening?

I havent been to Ulta in over 10 years, they have make-up, hair products, anything you are looking for in beauty, Im sure they would have it.

They never off you the free samples you are supposed to get with each purchase. I spend a lot of money there, and this location hardly carries any clinique product. I would stick to online ordering but for certain things I need to be able to swatch them etc.
