I love Stuff Etc.! Theyve got A LOT of wonderful stuff for sale! I could spend a couple of hours in this fabulous store just looking at all of the magnificent stuff! Stuff Etc. ROCKS!!! So shop there and go get your own stuff! ( I AM NOT an employee of Stuff Etc., nor is this a paid endorsement.)

Love this store. Very nice cashiers. Very reasonable. Love going there. They pretty much have everything. Clothes, shoes, winter boots, nic nacs, furniture, baby items, ( clothes, toys, bottles ) I mean everything. Jewelry, clocks, belts, mattresses, children clothes, books, kitchen items, too much to mention. U wont regret going there, I promise... the only thing I do regret is they dont have any electric carts. Myself I could use one, as I am handicapped. Please think about getting a few. Also this is a consignment store, but very reasonable prices..

I dont like to shop, but I enjoy shopping consignment. Im a firm believer in recycling, reconditioning, and repurposing household items. I try not to pay retail. Stuff is well organized and clean. The store associates are friendly and helpful.

I opened an account here a month ago. When I went in today and asked for an itemized list of my consignments I was told they don’t have anything under my consignment number. I brought in a box of fine leather goods and purses that all just “disappeared” do not take your items to this store they pick out what they want and steal!!!!! I have a photo of some of the items I brought in. This is a shady business.

If you are a bargain hunter, i think you will really enjoy this place. I did find very good quality used and new clothing buys. They also have home goods and furniture.

I really believe the staff are taking my stuff for there self or family that they like. . Not once have my new name brand clothes with tags still on them have been sold. Im talking new Nike clothes and etc. Theyre new with tags so I know there not giving it to good will. Im done bring my stuff here. The items arent even in my list they email me🤔

I strongly dislike the customer service skills at this location. Not even friendly and you get looks that basically tell you to not bother. The store is organized well and its easy to find what you are looking for.

Ive gone in twice now and left empty handed both times. They are incredibly over-priced. Most of the items could be purchased brand new for less.

This consignment store is over priced! They had clothes priced for more than the actual store would charge! The sales staff did everything they possibly could to ignore you and not help you. This store is definitely not a store I would recommend to anyone.

Ditto to Jacob. The mindset of the people in this store is How can we avoid taking this stuff without regard that without the stuff we bring in for consignment, they would not be in business. And they have nothing to lose!! They dont pay for the item unless they sell it. If they dont sell an item, they can throw it away. My husband is a business professor at a local college and he cant believe the way Stuff, Inc does business. We recently took in a photo. It was rolled up in the original tube, about 5 ft tall and 3 in diameter. The finished photo, of Time Square is on canvas and 5 feet by 7 feet. The metal frame was attach along with a photo of the finished product and easy instructions of how to put it together. The photo is really cool but we are moving soon and have to down size. The Stuff, Inc staff wouldnt take the big canvas photo saying they couldnt sell it. They didnt even try. About a year ago we paid to have them come to our home to pick up several items. My husband was outraged at their rudeness and the items they would not take. By the way, we live in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood. I just get tired of the same look and redecorate rooms. Among other things, we had an almost new chandelier they wouldnt take. Their attitude should be bring us everything you dont want. We will try to sell it. If it doesnt sell we will dispose of it if you want us too. To work there you have to be rude and lazy. Dont waste your time at Stuff, Inc.

If you are going to consign, with the hours posted as 10am to 6am, get there before noon or expect to be told there is a wait- sometimes an hour or more! I used to love this location for the great buys I would find-Its getting harder and harder to find great buys. Is it possible they are taking less in because of the restrictions and restricted hours?

Pay attention to your totals. They are advertising winter and back room as half off. You spend the time looking through, then when you get to the counter they tell you that one sweater is winter and on sale, and the other isn’t, even though they were side by side on the clearance rack. Cashier was very nice, and not her fault, doing what she’s told. It’s the principle, not the 4.00. Either the back room and winter stuff is on clearance or it isn’t.

I love this store. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They make you feel special and welcome. Kudos on the training they received. I will always choose this store first when I am shopping. Thank you Stuff.

I do not shop at this store and after my experience I dont believe I ever would want to.I am very fashionable and have a lot of retail knowledge. So I thought it would be a fun place to work. I was to interview with Vera or Verna. I arrived to the store no one greeted me with a smile or a simple hello. I approached a girl slouched over at the register and said hi to her and she looked up with a unhappy face. I told her that I had an interview and she instructed me to go in back and they would page her. I thanked the girl and went on my way. I went in the back and said hi again and explained to the lady that I have an interview. She was just as unfriendly and unprofessional as the last. She looked at her watch then looked again and said to come back in 10 minutes. I was kind of taken a back and said ok. I returned in precisely 10 minutes. She never acknowledged me at all. I waited 5 minutes and then I thought that I would never enjoy working in unhappy atmosphere as that place seemed to be. This is a resale store. Employees should be friendly and professional at all times. Especially management. The job is not stressful or difficult by any means. That you ever need to be rude to a customer or potential employee.

I wish that I had found them sooner. They are a bit over priced. But, they have what I will need.

STUFF does a good job of selling my consignment items, but watch closely if you agree to donate unsold items. They neglected to enter an entire drop off of mine ( 2 totes) - it just vanished into the inventory. Now I do not donate, so they must itemize the items I leave. The intake employees are grumpy, but the ones o the floor seem to like their jobs. 😉

I used to love shopping here, but i made an appointment to drop off 3 boxes. When i got there the woman informed me i could only have one small tote. I was not told over the phone about this condition when i made the appointment and the woman was rude when i told her this. Her response was oh well. Not shopping or donating here again. Id rather donate to goodwill and salvation army than deal with incompetent people.

I took in 5 prom dresses. all worn once. when I went back to check they were gone and I did not rec. a dime. I was told they did not sell so was given to good will. I was not aware of this or I would have gotten them back and given them myself after I tried selling them on my own. I have not been back since nor do I plan to go back

Our charity participated in a Fill the truck promotion. Many items, including some lovely antiques, were brought in. We never received payment or explanation on what happened to the majority of the donations. What we did receive payment for totaled under $20. Never again will we work with this company.

Its goodwill with a much higher price tag. Spend a few more bucks and just buy new. Or hit a garage sale if you really want other peoples junk.

I find my items are not being listed even though they are in good condition. Guess they have to be new to be listed. Dont know who is getting first chose at them. Finding out not a good place to go.

Decently priced consignment store. The selection is alright as well. If you are a budget shopper and/or like unique items definitely stop by stuff.

Poor communication on processes and dates. They dont stick to drop off & return schedule. 2 years ago when I brought my first items to Stuff Etc. I was very pleased with the service and cash value back but both have significantly declined the past several months. ISO new consignment shop.

Nowhere on the website nor in store does it say you cant drop off on Sundays. I wasnt told this before I drove 40 miles! I was then made to stand and wait in line, holding a very large box awkwardly, when I found out that I would have to take it back home with me. I did rave about this place until my recent experience. Educate your employees to give out correct information. Or better yet, just get a new staff. The moron that unlocked the doors that day forgot to unlock the outside set of doors.

I dont understand their selection of items to sell. One time Ill go in and they will accept almost everything. The next time, almost everything is rejected. This last time I took in some nice interior decorations and they rejected most of it. I think it depends on who is working that day. Im tired of guessing what they will take; Im going to start taking everything to Good Will.

Awful. The girl that receives people items to go through was rude to my friend whom had stuff she was gonna sell. She changed her mind.Store has a dirty ashtray smell. Lots of items they sell are in not the best if shape. Bathroom was wretched.

The Lead Supervisor is incredibly nasty! I waited in line for 15 minutes to ask the cashier if there is an additional discount for broken furniture (there was a coat rack that had one of the hooks broken off and just laying on it. It had obviously been broken since they put it on the floor) only to be told by the cashier that I had to go to the back to ask a manager. The girl on the floor I initially asked told me to ask the cashier. I go to the back find the lead supervisor and ask she says no and tells me I have to take the tag back to the coat rack myself I said well Im gonna get back in line to buy and end table. She snatched the tag from my hand scoffed at me and said WOW and stormed away. I guess putting tags on furniture is the customers responsibility not the workers who Stuff is paying to be there. I stuck the tag to the end table I was going to buy on a back pack and left. I will not be back.

I had a very bad experience with them today. I generally dont look into what sells and what doesnt. I just happened to stop in to drop off more items last week and noticed a toy (that was selling for $12) was not on the floor or credited to my account. I was told to watch my account and let them know if it didnt show up. I called today and talked to Verna the store manager, explained my situation and she very rudely told me thats not their problem, they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. When I said I was concerned it was employee theft, she became very defensive, making me wonder if there was more going on here. I understand their policy, but the way she approached it made sure I will never do business there again. Be careful if you consign with the Davenport store.

Dont waste your time here. Me and my wife had some quality items that we were told we could drop off. And after loading up and driving 2 hrs were told we now needed an appointment and they wouldnt help us. Terrible business and they have no idea what they are doing. Stay clear of these people.

The store looks like a flea market, very unorganized, messy, couldnt find anything I was looking for! The employees are rude, lazy, and not helpful at all! The store needs a better manager to clean it up it looks terrible! I will never shop there again! The store in Ankeny is very clean, organized, and really nice staff! Dont waste your time shopping there!

They are in need of more staff, the ones they have are rude and cant keep up with incoming merchandise! I dropped things off and hadnt gotten an email in a couple of days so I called inquiring (they say if you dont get an email in 72 hrs call). Several weeks and several calls later they said they over looked a couple of totes. The girl was rude and when I asked if they had a corporate office I could call she said My manager is right here if youd like to talk to her! I was shocked at how rude she was and the fact that her manager approved of her talking to a customer like that. Wish theyd open a second location in the Quad Cities with a friendly staff!!

Went to your Iowa City store Coralville very nice youre Davenport location needs a lot of help it is disaster nobody really wants to show the floor plan is just all messed up I really think you need to think of someone else that runs that store to keep it organized and straightened up theres no help in the store I had to go back to the consignment shop just to get a price on something I really think that your store location could really benefit if someone else was in that store running it

Prices are good and the merchandise is clean and nice.

It is easy to drop of items to be consigned. And that is the only plus. Staff members are rude, inconsiderate, and generally unhelpful when it comes to questions about selling and purchasing items. Store is over packed and often messy. Prices are unclear and discounts are not always taken at the register.

Unhelpful staff. New consignment rules are complicated and un necessarily strict return on consignment is not worth bringing things in

Consigning policies differ, depending on which employees provide the information. Although appointment drop off times are helpful, it can take up to 2-3 weeks for accepted items to be placed on the sales floor, thereby reducing the amount of time they are left at full price before the first price reductions are taken. One of my furniture items sold within 5 days of drop off, but I received only 37% of sale price instead of contracted 40%. Store is NOT clean and has appearance of a flea market (pic on internet is NOT the current site building). Although management says they take unsold items to charities after 120 days, that is doubtful, since the store is really over-filled with many very sad looking items, that likely wont sell or shouldnt have been accepted. Davenport employees seem nice, but unknowledgeable about store policies...management staff are just RUDE!Stopped at the Corallville location of Stuff Etc. to see how it compared during a recent trip....take my advice and just consign there instead! Parking lot in Coralville was FULL and store was clean and orderly with helpful/friendly staff! I was told it is the corporate headquarters for the Iowa stores. I made a friendly suggestion that thier management staff should make the trip to Davenport to look in on how poorly operations are going here! Yes, its out of the way, but Im confident my items will sell quickly; and I enjoyed browsing and shopping there myself!
