Store is okay, overpriced on mostly items. Not to mention when you sell to them they only give you a small percentage of what they’ll sell it as. Sometimes the racks are over crowded and it’s hard to even look through the clothes. Couple months ago one of the workers was mopping the floor and did not put out a wet floor sign. My son fell twice, second time he fell back on his head. The worker seen it and never said nothing or apologized. I should’ve called someone.

Horrible customer service. I took my items in Tuesday and was told 3-4 hours. No one called me, I called Wednesday morning to be dont that I didnt leave I number which I did (if someone didnt give a number than your employees should be checking since thats there job). I was told I had to get my items today or else they would be thrown away even though I live 40 minutes away. I was told that they should have thrown them away already since I wasnt contacted yesterday.. Definitely wont be coming ever again!

Purchased this brand new water shoes by mistake …(with tag and brand new) but the cashier will not give refund. In the spot. Poor customer service. Sold items and they pay you minimal amount and turn around and sell 100% higher back to the public. Would Nevwr recommend or buy anything from this store or endorse this business.

Once upon a child is my favorite baby store. As a boy mom, I like to look for name brand clothes in replace of bows and glitter. It makes baby clothes shopping fun for me.Once I got pregnant I started shopping at this particular store. I spend about $100 every time I go there.Just recently I started to hate it. I gave it 3 stars because it was once enjoyable. Now a days all I can find is Walmart clothes for the same price that Walmart sells them. You have to really DIG to get anything good out of there.I even tried to sell a few items (again, ALL name brand,) and they rejected them because of “stains.” I know it wasn’t true because a few of the shirts they gave back to me where just purchased from JC Penny. They were a gift that didn’t fit, so I tried to sell them.The clothing that they did take they only gave me $1.90 a piece.The store is so small you can hear all of the gossip at the front counter. At one point I chimed in since they told a funny story, and they didn’t even wait for me to leave the store before talking about me.It’s a shame because the next closest OUAC is an hour away.I do not recommend them as of right now.

Dropped off clothes here, they seemed very nice and friendly... Went to go pick up the offer they had for my daughters old clothes... They only took maybe 10 out of 3 big bags I had due to them being old fashioned, stained, faded, and having holes none of my daughters clothes have holes in them. And how where they old fashioned when they were bought at walmart between the starting of this year and last year????

Both times I talked to them on the phone, they were rude. I dropped off clothes when they opened and waited until 5:30 for a phone call. I had to call them to check when I could come by. They told me that they called at 11:30 to which I have no missed call or voice mail. I asked them about a dress that I didnt see on my receipt and the 2 ladies just stared at me. Its not worth trying to sell your clothes here. They only give you about $0.50 an item. And they arent consistent on what they do and dont take.

I love this store! This is pretty much the only place I purchase clothes for my daughter. I have been shopping here since she was a newborn, 5 years ago! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are good for strollers, toys and all needed children items! Some clothing is overpriced but I always find some great deals! Would definitely recommend shopping here!

This store is always so clean and well organized. I get all of my daughters clothes here. Why pay full price when you can find practically new for cheap?! The staff is so helpful and nice! Owner is great as well!

Seriously the best kids consignment store around! They have been dressing my kids for years! They also have an amazing clearance selection on top of the already deeply discounted items. They always have clothes in season in every size! Highly recommend!

I love getting clothes for my daughter here. Everything is always very organized and I dont have to worry about checking everything out for stains before buying like I would at other second hand stores. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Overall I like this store. I have found some great deals and especially like the clearance events. Most of the staff is friendly but Ive had some not so great experiences there. Also havent had the greatest luck with selling to them.

I like shopping here for my kids because I can usually get things a little cheaper than anywhere else, but DO NOT sell to these people. A couple of months ago I brought in a tote full of name brand, clean and gently used baby and toddler clothes and they didn’t even go through the whole tote (I noticed everything was still folded and stacked the exact way it was when I brought it in, when they do go through the whole thing they toss it back in there). I went back through my kids’ clothes a few months later and washed and organized the tote again with some of the items they didn’t go through the previous time and they took some of them this time. They are definitely not consistent with what they take at ALL. I’ve asked before why they didn’t take things that had never been worn I brought in and the girl just looked at me and said in a super snotty tone “because they’re cheap.” I don’t have time to bring in totes of things I make sure fit their criteria for selling on their website and wash and organize them just to take most of it back and end up donating it anyway. Not worth it to me. You’re better off selling to FB Marketplace or Stuff Etc.

Once upon a Child is a wonderful local business! I visit weekly for my daughter and find awesome brands for a great deal. Always my go to, especially for shoes! The owners are amazing as well 😁

I went there for the first time after lots of people told me it was a good place to get gently used things for my son. Walking into the store I was shocked by how many things they had and how organized they were. With that being said I was not greeted or anything. After an half and hour of being in the store no one working asked me if i was looking for anything or asked if they could help. It is a very nice store and have lots of clothing, etc options! Would recommend to other people!

Yesterday was my first visit to the store and I brought my 7 year old . We left with a handful of shirts and dresses, great prices and the staff were very nice, would def recommend shopping there .

DO NOT do business with these people!! I take 5-6 boxes of my very nice things and she even asks me if I have ever worked with them before and I reply NO expecting some sort of detail/info/scenario of how the whole process works but nothing..So I ask as I am signing what I thought was going to be great and she replies “You will get a call.” I ask when should I be expecting this call? With no specific day/time she replies After we go through your stuff... since its a Friday, I am assuming she means We will call u Monday n I even say out loud “OK, NO RUSH” she’s just looking at me aloof. There are at least 3 women working and NO ONE says anything about I only have 48 hours to PHYSICALLY be in store to accept an offer or else it turns into store credit n rest of my items that I have been saving to go somewhere respectable will be donated..So it being the weekend and not recognizing the number I miss the call n by time I listen to the message (Monday morning) I call immediately and politely decline the petty offer and that I am on my way to collect my things!! She agrees and states your things are still here”but when I walk in the door, they have a few of my items in the process of being tag to put on the floor, my stuff has been ransacked through n I am missing at least an entire box of who knows what and when I ask where my things are they say oh, we bought that n I now will receive store credit of a very low amount. My daughter is grown so I will never shop in this store. So from the time that I call (noon) n time I arrive (1:30) they rush to tag my things so that I am technically under contract to accept only store credit! I am furious and glad I got there when I did because she insinuated I come in the next day..as if I would have anything left. They started with of course the nicest most expensive things.. like 5 formal dresses that alone would’ve added up to more than her “offer”..so guess I WILL be doing some shopping for my OWN stuff!☹️😤

Great store to stock up on kids clothes, without going broke! I wish they could pay more on items... I have seen a shirt I sold then be tagged for $2.50 when they paid me 90 cents, but in the long run it is much more reasonable than other stores, and kinder to the planet! Great sales!!! Complete rip off for selling clothes. They have absolutely no method for what clothes they accept or decline. And dont even get me started on what they offer for the items they do accept. Completely disappointed.

The only way I was able to leave a review was by picking a star. I just recently went into this store with a jog suit my son wore only once they told everyone that they could not take it said it had a spot on it. But when I asked where the spot was they could not find one. Nor show me where the spot was. I also took in some shoes they Choose to keep the Jordan’s shoes which have clearly been worn my son had them but would not take a pair of boots in good condition and said that they could not except. I showed them a pair they have on sale there the boots were in better condition. Main reason for my post is people give you guys these clothes to help out other family’s in need but yet a perfect outfit and boots were turned down. Luckily I was stoped walking out the store yesterday and a lady asked what they have in there. I showed her the same outfit and boots and she was like they sell nice stuff in there. So I told her I was dropping these items off and for what ever reason the store didn’t want the items as she looked and said then what kind of items do they sell. I said they won’t be getting my business anymore and I let the lady have the bags and told her have a good day. Atleast her child in the car will be able to appreciate it without having to come out of her pocket.

We took several of my granddaughters dresses, pants, tops etc into the store including two winter coats that had never been worn. The staff asked for 4 hours to look over the clothing in order to come to a value. My daughter picked out some dresses, shoes, etc., hoping to buy them against what we brought in for trade. I had washed and ironed the items before taking them in. The clothes were barely used as they were clothes kept at grandparents. When my daughter and my husband went back they offered $1.00 a piece for just 3 items and declined the rest. They claimed the clothing smelled. No one in our home smokes and they were freshly washed. My husband ended up paying around $75.00 for the items my daughter had on hold. I would never had paid that much for their used items; especially after they said our clothes smelled. Also while I was in the store a woman with a little boy about 2 was scolded by staff for taking a toy off a shelf. I will never go into this store again.

I came here last week to sell some never used items that my daughter had but never used and they refused them. They are very rude and picky to their customers. Most of the stuff they have on the racks are dirty. Please dont waste your time coming here.

A bit higher on prices in consideration its a resale shop, but I also understand they buy everything, which is a great deal. They have an awesome mommy package that is helping with my pregnancy!

Waste of time! Staff unwelcoming and cold. I went in with 2 boxes of like new stuff newborn to six months clothes and a baby swing. They didnt know how to operate the swing so they said it was broken. Then I was told they dont take clothes that small! I cant say anything good about that store.

I havent been here enough for 5 stars but I have always loved everything weve bought from here somethings are definitely used or well loved, but a second hand store doesnt mean new. and Im far away from this store and when I called to ask about numerous items the woman was so polite and patient with me I even lost service and called back and she was still so kind. Thank you to the people that make the tough choices of to buy and what to say no too thats not an easy job because people looking to earn some money remember what they paid new for it but unfortunately that is not longer relavent when something has been used! I hope to be there this weekend to shop like crazy! I need toddler and baby #2 stuff!! Very excited!

I can usually find something cute their. But they are kind of overpriced for their clothing. I spent $8.50 on an outfit which I think is pricy for used. I brought in a pair of brand new Adidas that my daughter never worn. They offered me $1.45 for them. Which they probably woundve sold them for $15. I do recommend buying but not selling here.

Very disappointed on the selection of clothes they took and not very happy with how the clothes were returned to us. My wife had them organized in outfits on drop off but when they returned the tote to us they all were just stuffed in the tote. Wouldnt recommend.

Use to love this store but will not shop here ever again. Twice they forgot to pay when I sold items and bought in the same transaction. Both times when I went back in I was made to feel like it was my fault. Very poor customer service.

I love this place:)Im always able to find what Im looking for, its my go to place for clothes for our son to wear at daycare, and we always seem to be able to find him at least one pair or Jordans, and one pair of nice Nikes.Never leave feeling let down!

No matter how good of a condition the clothes/products are in, most of the time, they wont take them. I could have something thats never been worn and theyll say its too old. (Apparently they date their clothes.) And no matter what I have, I feel judged, and they hardly take anything. The staff is not always the best. (Most of the time they say you have to wait, theres at least two of the workers on their cell phone.) I wouldnt recommend this place unless youre willing to take the minimum payment.

They have a great selection of clothes, toys and many more. The staff is always friendly. I have visited many other Once Upon a Child in other states but this is the best.

I have sold here and they are extremely picky about what they will buy. I have experienced them reject some clothes that had only been a few times, no stains, pretty much brand new condition with no explanation. I have seen clothes on their clothing racks that are faded, worn out, pilled, and with large gross stains on them. I took pictures to prove it. The staff isnt the friendliest, and the clothes they sell are very over priced for used condition.

Went here to sell some clothes. I was very upset. She told me if clothes were made before 2014 they arent taken because they are o er stocked. Well 3/4 the stuff they didnt take I bought brand new last year which was 2016. They were not cheap either. The ones they did take were hand me downs that were bought like 4-5 years ago which is 2012-2013. Makes no sense. I prob wont go back to buy or sell again. Platos closet did the same thing to me lik e 2 years ago, never went back.

Well when you want to buy over priced stuff for children you need to stop in spend a way But if you want to sell some your items stay far away !!!! They will give you .5 cents on the dollar and turn a big profit off you !! I know that is is a business and this what they do but when you have a item like a baby swing that is great shape and you have the receipt for the item that was a year old and it cost $160 and offer some one $22 for this item @@ really We will never shop there again and when we sell some thing Craigs List is where we sell the stuff or Stuff Ect in Davenport IA

My experience selling at this store was very unpleasant. Rude customer service. Seen a young lady carrying her infant on her hip and a basket of clothing that she took in to sell on the other hip and they didnt offer to hold the door for her when she was getting ready to walk out, the worker just looked at her like she was an inconvenience. I wouldnt suggest selling as theyre very selective.

Seems theres no consistent method/standard to if they take an item or not. Got paid 90 cents for like new items. If you dont mind what you get for it, take it in. If you dont mind coming home with items, give it a try.

I enjoy shopping at once upon a child as I have been to various location in various states and this is the only location that does NOT accept all genders and all sizes ALL the time!! Very frustrating. If you inventory is that thick you maybe need to consider your pricing.

This place is a joke. Dont bother trying to sell stuff to them, because no matter the quality, you will end up taking 3/4 of your stuff back home. Brand new DVDs and books will be turned away. Ive sold to Once Upon a Child in MI and always have had a good experience and felt I got a good $ amount for my stuff (and they actually TOOK 75-80 % of my stuff). Also, other locations will give you cash up to $100 but this one will give you a check for anything over $40. If I had gotten cash, I probably would have turned around and spent some on stuff for my kids, but decided to take my check and go. I was looking for cleats for my son, but since they werent organized by size at all, I didnt have time to sift through the huge bin- will just pick some up at Wal-Mart or something. Going to this Once Upon a Child location is not worth your time!

It is exactly like this says buy sell and trade childrens items but dont expect any kind of customer service. They were busy and instead of explaining the situation I got a crap attitude and snapped at for bringing clothes in....

I think their a bit pricey for used clothing but if I need a nice outfit in a jiffy on a budget this is the place to go. Also, they have some pretty awesome sales and clearence if you catch it in time.

I have been in the store twice, and have purchased items there once. The clothing seems overpriced, considering that the store is located across the street from Target, where you can purchase items at the same prices new. Each time that I have been in, the staff is very unfriendly. Not once was I greeted by the staff. The only words that were spoken to me were Credit or debit? when I paid for the items that I had picked out. Based on other reviews that I have read, bad customer service seems to be an issue that is not addressed at staff meetings.

Very over priced. They also take three piece outfits and sell the items seperate which is annoying.

So expensive for consignment! I was shocked to see the prices- Ive bought brand new items at Old Navy and Baby Gap for cheaper. Overwhelming, overpriced, and clothing not in great condition. I wouldnt recommend.
