I’m going to be honest, they’ll try to sell you shein for $10 more than it’s worth. It’s not really a thrift store rather than a “we sell fast fashion you don’t want anymore for twice it’s original cost”. kind of wild that they charge so much for items that you know cost $6 and are made with cheap materials anyways. I’ll recommend that you look online for the item you’re looking for before you go and buy from here!! Also suggest googling the items original price, it’s really easy to find!!

If you have one hour to wait in line and don’t need air conditioning to shop, please come here. Some great apparel, but when they don’t even understand that you don’t make the line of people to check out line down an aisle of clothes so that no one can go in that aisle to shop, you know they have some serious retail issues.The thirty or so garbage bags of people’s clothes they are selling spilling out onto the front selling floor and only keeping one single door unlocked during business hours on a Saturday adds to their appeal.Too many resale/thrift here without these issues to torture yourself.Shop here on a weeknight perhaps? Still, bring a fan.

I guess I Just don’t understand these stores or maybe most of America is stuck in 2012. Brand new, never worn up to date clothing from the most shopped sites all turned away. Tags still on. I guess it’s to be expected when displays are dressed from 2012. Expand your fashion sense and try and cater to the diverse group of shoppers you all seem to have.

Staff was kinda trashy but were alot faster than any of the other uptown cheapstakes. Overall Ill be back. Nice but trashy. Doesnt have a huge mens selection.

The place is nice, they bought two items from me and one was a madewell dress that was $118 and only got $5 for it. If you guys pay 30% for clothes customers are selling, then I feel I got underpaid for that. Other than that, the employees were nice and helpful. I didnt really contest the payment but at the same time I didnt want to cause issues.

I come here like once a week, I never leave google reviews but I love this place so much, all the clothes are literally like if you were buying from an actual store, you don’t even feel like it’s second hand cause EVERYTHING is cute and cheap! I got brand new Levi’s (literally with the tag) MY SIZE for 30 something and Hunter boots barely used for 35!!! Best place ever

Awesome place. Google says that masks are required. Theyre really not. So its not up to date. But no awesome place. Nice people too. And they allow customers to try on clothes cause theyre smart enough to know thats not how covid is spread. Wish other clothes stores were as smart as them. In a world of ignorant clothing stores theyre one of the smart ones cause they dont buy in to the covid ignorance. I say shop here

I can usually find a few things to take home when I come here. Good buyers are the key to a good consignment store. Saves you a lot of time rummaging through items. I see a lot of people leaving negative reviews about the mask policy, but there is still a sign posted on the front door requesting masks and the staff are wearing them. Not much more you can do than that. To someone who doesn’t want to wear a mask, there isn’t much of a difference between “request” and “require.”

They have some good deals but lots of brands like Forever21. I took a suitcase and a duffle bag filled with clothes from 7FAM, J Crew, Madewell to sell and was told they were too old. Thats fine but when I got home I opened the suitcase and nothing had been moved. They hadnt even opened it.

Really good quality clothing items for a cheap price. Found a really cute dress for $13 and an amazing romper for $12. Definitely coming back!

They sold me a fake Love Moschino purse. I found out the purse was fake after I tried to sell it to two other Buy, Sell, Trade store locations. I bought the purse in June. When I tried to return it after getting the receipt from them because I originally didnt have it. The regional manager told me that she couldnt take it back. The item is FAKE and I have proof of purchase with the receipt. She told me that they wouldnt have sold a Love Moschino purse at $13.99. Either way, they willingly put a fake purse on the floor to sell and sold me a fake item and refused to give me a refund. The tag did not label it as Love Moschino instead 3star* however -- it should have never been put to be sold in the first place.

Rigid buying process, must have your ID in hand… they don’t take email or your DL number if you have it memorized (other locations do). And their selection sucks. It’s all geared towards teens, don’t waste your time here.

I didn’t like the buying process most of the clothes I bring was in good condition some were name brand others no they only took two items for 5 dollars I will not go back and sell to them I will definitely not recommend to anyone else it not worth it

This used to be one of my favorite stores but Ive since learned that both the UP location and the Richardson one will be repealing their store mask policies. I am 100% not comfortable shopping in a store where just anyone could walk in without a mask. Keep your mask policy in place! Your customers and employees will thank you!

This retail resale shop has all sorts of goodies for a thrifty buyer of name brand clothes. Fashions are contemporary and reasonable. Clothes for men and women of young to middle age clothing. There are designer accessories and handbags. Plenty of parking at this mini mall.

As a regular at thrift stores, I find it very disappointing that I can no longer go to one of my favorite spots because I don’t want to risk my own safety. Masks are effective and necessary! Really a shame that the stores owners and management cannot see that. Do better.

Meh, they wouldnt take some of shoes because they were stain and they were selling some stain shoes in store. They wont give u as much for clothes compared to other stores.

This store use to not be the greatest with bad customer service, no management, and not so hot inventory. The past few months this store has changed to a great extent with some extremely nice individuals who go out of there way to make the experience of thrifting better, a little management since the girl everyone says is the manager panics when there’s more then five people in the store and always tends to give off bad vibes, and a better selection then before. I’ve been coming here to sell for years and when I finally get a good buyer who knows what she’s doing, is kind, and always has feedback on items I’d be getting back she gets shooed away by the manager.

My main issue with this experience is that I was told by an associate that I had to wait in store while they looked through my stuff only to find out that I actually could have left and they would call my number to notify me when it’s ready..... So I basically wasted 45 minutes wandering aimlessly around the store only for them to offer me $9 for 3 items of clothing. If you’re gonna make people wait almost an hour to go through their clothes you could at least provide a few chairs like Buffalo Exchange so that way I don’t have to look through clothes I have no interest in buying.

Store is clean, prices are clearly marked and pretty good considering some thrift stores charge way too much. Clothes are ordered by size and the staff do a good job of keeping them grouped together. Shopping carts (which are like hand baskets on wheels) are useful and dont take up too much space.Aisles are a bit close together and can get cramped when trying to get passed someone. Lines to checkout when busy stretch into aisles which can cause additional congestion.The whole store has a pretty strong smell of perfume which they should seriously tone down. I looked forward to leaving for some fresh air.Mens section is quite small but has a good selection of styles, brands and sizes. Womens section takes up around 80% of the store.Overall I would definitely recommend checking it out if you like thrift stores.

READ BEFORE SELLING CLOTHING HERE!!I discovered this place about 6 months ago and loved it!!! Great sales, clean store. I recommended to coworkers and friends who all agreed.Unfortunately, I feel differently now. I went in on Wednesday to sell clothes at 6 p.m., and was told one of the buyers left for the day and they were extremely busy so they had to stop for the day. I was a little annoyed internally but I understood. They told me to come back tomorrow because they had 2 buyers on Thursday. The woman said they would open at 10 a.m. and buy up until one hour before close. Online and on the store window reads 9 p.m. and on the store window.I came back in Thursday after work at 7:15 p.m. to try again. I was told, yet again, that there was no buyer on staff. This time, I was visibly annoyed and the man said he could ask a manager. I explained the situation to the manager, who offered absolutely no solution. He said there was nothing he could do and that the store has winter hours and closes at 8 p.m. and the buyer went home sick. He also mentioned the system locks at 7 p.m. and you just need to come in earlier.There are a few things wrong with this situation:1. No where on the website does it mention Winter Hours. Also, when I came in on Wednesday and was told to come back the next day, no one mentioned these Winter Hours.2. Offer some sort of solution. It is extremely annoying to not once, but TWICE, come into the store during REGULAR HOURS AND ON TIME and be told they cannot service me.3. We have science and technology that has sent people to the moon. The system does not lock you out permanently for the night at 7 p.m. I would bet my trash-bag of Gently Used clothing on that.4. Telling a customer who WAS a huge fan of this store that I need to come in earlier is baffling. I came in during the correct hours. This a store issue, not a personal timing issue.I am really bummed by this experience because I love a good deal, but I will gladly pay more for customer service and to not be disrespected by your staff.

The clothes are good quality, lots of trendy clothes. Prices are higher than goodwill and the yellow bag thrift chain, but I feel the clothes and selection were better as well, and the pricing is very fair for the the area. The store was clean. Associates were friendly but not pushy. All around a nice place. Probably wont become my go to thrift store just because Im a little cheap! But I will for sure be back when Im looking for nicer stuff. Oh and they have lots of dresses (and a whole rack of rompers if thats your thing)

Decent selection of clothing. Everything is organized by style, size, and color. Ive found some very good deals at this store, mostly thanks to their 50% off items.On my last visit, I accidentally walked in on a Sunday at their closing time without realizing. They were really nice and didnt say anything to me. Unfortunately, by the time they asked me how I was doing, I had kept them 20 minutes late. I asked them when they had closed and it was literally when I had walked in. I felt guilty for keeping them but we all agreed nobody said anything to me about being closed. They were so nice, didnt make me feel bad about it. Classy.

They have a good selection of unique one of a kind clothing. The pricing is fair based on the style and brand. The only thing that Id love is for a small chair or two with mirrors like at a shoe store at the end of the shoe aisles to try on the shoes because when you want to try on shoes, you have to go over by the dressing room and the seats there are all taken which is fine because thats what theyre there for but people tend to camp out there when they are waiting for someone in the dressing room. A little bit bigger shopping carts would be nice too but I realize this is an issue in itself. These minor things can all be easily resolved. Also kudos to the organization of the store. The shoes all seemed to be in the right spot as far as their size and all clothing sizes were in the right spot on the rack. Im sure this is a hard thing to keep up with on a daily bases as customers move things around. The concept of the store is great and all the employees there are always friendly and helpful. Everyone seems like they enjoy working there which is nice for my shopping experience.

I went in with a few articles of clothes, I waited while the associates picked through the clothes. The whole thing took less than an hour, while I browsed their selection. Their selection is impressive, i found some lululemon leggings for less than 30 dollars and a north face jacket for 25 dollars! Major steals, but the sales associate that helped me was overall my favorite part. She was patient and understanding and even asked about my summer, and she told me abort her summer plans and trips she was excited about. Overall, AMAZING customer experience, and will be going back definitely!

Recommend not selling to them it’s a rip-off. Maybe donate your clothes to a local charity shop. The clothing selection is ok.

Very good quality and very good prices

If you plan to sell your clothes here. Make sure you have a VERY low expectations of customer service. You will be greeted with a we are busy long wait attitude. You can’t even go to your car if you are in the in line to wait. I was told there was three or four people in front of me.. only to stand there and be told that I’m next after and wasted conversation of how I had to wait 30 minutes for them to even look at my clothes. There is no urgency to help you get your clothes looked at and get out of the store they slowly when they felt like started looking through my clothes only to separate what they wanted and take an extra 30 minutes pricing 16 items of clothes. While I am waiting in the store shopping I can see that the women looking through my clothes are also speaking about me as I see a her looking my direction and hear oh I think she can hear you. I was happy to have sold a few items. But coming from Buffalo exchange with even more clothes the people there actually respect your items and fold them neatly back into the bag. At this place expect your stuff to be thrown in a big mess and just completely disrespected like trash. When I asked her if this was a normal approach to how they handle people’s belongings I was met with well we don’t have time to fold everyone’s clothes. This business has a major disconnect on what makes this a business.

This is a chain resale shop that sells generally good clothing. The items and decor are astounding. Which is surprising when you realize their staff is full of lazy individuals who don’t appreciate a good resale opportunity. All resale stores have wait times for sellers. It comes with the territory. I went in around 3:30-4:00 pm. I was told they stopped selling for the day when clearly there was a reseller checking out in the corner with all of her merchandise. She was even showing her and ID to proceed with the sale. That was yesterday. Today I called to verify when they stop sales. They said 7:00 pm. When I told the clerk I came 3 hours before that time she acted so condescending. I also told her a clerk told me that they stopped selling for the day she said “ok?” As if I was speaking Chinese or something. As if being rude to people is the norm there. Unfortunately to the dummy cashier who did all of that, you lost out on over 300 dollars worth of valuable merchandise which I took down the street to your competition who gladly took it without hesitation.My recommendation is to go down the street to buffalo exchange. They have bigger payouts for resellers, better items, and wayyyy better customer service.

If you are looking to sell mens clothes, dont bother. Tried to sell them about 40 lbs of mens clothing, they took a few articles off the top and decided that they would not take anything, after waiting for 3 hrs. Had a look into their store, 95% womens clothes, and only a very small section for mens clothes. Complete waste of a day waiting.Not sure what they are talking about in the response, because there were no pants, the shirts were all XXL and under which is what is requested on the website, everything was in very good condition, and even some of the items were brand new (worn once or twice). And, also, i brought these items in last Saturday, not yesterday. Sufficed to say, i will not ever be shopping at any of these stores or bringing any more items in to be sold. Lost a customer for life.

I went in today and spent a good 3 hours shopping- the place is crazy packed with great girls clothes. Guys selection is a little smaller. The dressing room attendant was so kind and patient as I tried on armful after armful of clothes. There was a small issue at checkout but the store manager went absolutely above and beyond to take care of me. (Shout out to Bree & the owners! Seriously, thanks again!) This is my fav place to shop in Dallas for all occasions ❤️

If you want to try and sell some clothes here, better luck somewhere else, I suggest the location in Richardson its larger and theres never much of a wait and they seem to pay more too. But Ive been here a few times and its always been a waste of at least 2 hours. The store is incredibly understaffed, at least buyer wise and they can never keep up. They offered me only 5 dollars on a lululemon vest after waiting in store that long. I really wouldnt recommend this location to anyone trying to sell their clothes there.

Great place to Shop you can find all kinds of great discounts on quality clothing. I gave it four stars because most of the clothes run small I mean 0 to 4 Sizes. I found very few petite items as well . I will be shopping there again as I’m sure the clothes change from time to time when they get new stock! Staff is quite nice and helpful

Walked in w/ clothes to be evaluated and first thing I was told before reaching the counter is that they can’t accept clothing hung on hangers due to damage from hangers... confused on how that makes sense when their clothes to sell is on hangers.Also told that one dress was too fancy and to try Buffalo Exchange... once again not sure how that makes sense, knowing they have an elite section.This place doesn’t make sense. Don’t see it lastinglong here.

This location is awesome. I am glad it is open to selling clothes today. From the reviews and my experience, it seems that they are actively positively working out the kinks of opening a new business. Both buying and selling clothes were pleasant experiences, and the store atmosphere is great. Plenty of parking and right by all the places I go to on a regular basis.

A good variety of high quality clothing. Most of the clothing is in really good shape as well.Items do go on discount, but some seem to take longer than others, and I cant figure out any specific reason why.

Shopped for 1st time today. Bought several items. One item was a new (shop brand) unworn mans belt, they had several. I left, went to my hotel room, tried it on and immediately returned as the belt was too big. The store clerk said to return later and meet with manager for return, as the item was considered an accessory, non returnable. I was unaware of policy. Didnt get to talk to manager, was refused by original clerk. Only a $12 item. But, really poor customer service. I wont return

Went by to sell/donate items, and I was satisfied with the cash they offered me for some items. The rest of the items that werent bought by the store were donated as per my request. Easy peasy!

Love this store! All locations are wonderful! The selections are WAY better than a Plato’s closet or other exchange places I have been to. I have not spent under $120 both times and I come out with handfuls of name brand clothing!! Love love love!

I fell in love with the store the moment I walked in. The whole staff is awesome!! I felt welcomed as I shopped around. The young man who checked me out was so nice. I believe his name was Miguel. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who likes a good bargain :)

I went in to sell my clothes, the store is very appealing, the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The experience was painless, you fill out a form, drop your clothes off and they call you the same day. I was very impressed by their fast actions. Will be bringing more clothes after I recover from my eye surgery.

Turns out, Uptown Cheapskate is not a discount skating rink...which is why I have missed out on so many amazing deals and opportunities to snag one of a kind jackets, hats and a plethora of other high end costumes and stage props. Whenever I may need rhat little extra for a production here first!Just last night I needed a couple items for use on stage at 9 this morning. I made it to UC just min before closing and they were more than happy to assist me in every way without trying to rush me out the door. Great great GREAT people, prices and products!

I found the perfect dress for Margarita Ball and at a steal of a price! Ive also found many other great things like cute dresses and skirts. Ill keep going back.

Brought in 2 bags worth of clothes they only took a few shirts. They passed on mens dress shirt, slacks, and ties. Only took kid shirts. The men clothing I bought at Mens Warehouse 5 years ago and barely wore.

They have a huge assortment of clothes, brands, sizes, styles. They are friendly without being pushy which is a MUST for me. I also like being able to take my clothes in to sell.

I just went to this store for the first time, and decided to shop their clearance rack. I had an armful of clothes to try on, and was turned away at the dressing room because I might sneak in non-sales items and switch the tags to make non-sale items look like sales items, ie. steal from the store. Because (like all women) Im uniquely shaped, I dont like to buy clothes without being able to try them on, especially if I cant return them. I walked out of the store, and they lost about $50+ in sales that day because they expressed up front that they dont trust their customers. I realize $50 is a drop in the bucket for them, but this was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience as a first-time guest. I will not be shopping at this store again.

We got some great service and the selection is even better! We went during am additional 25% off sale. Needless to say I walked out with some good finds: a brand new Calvin Klein dress (with tags) for $17; Under Armour leggings for $25; and other name brands for under $10. Will be back for sure!

Everyone is very friendly. I always find something cute and I don’t really have to dig that hard. There is plenty of sportswear from Lulu lemon to Nike. I love this store!!!

We are UC power shoppers across the US (purchased clothes after 2 hours shopping here) and this is the first time we have been turned away from a UC restroom. Your associate said that people have used drugs in it and I explained to her & the manager that they just created a very bad customer experience. Missing Premiere Video already. I took a ton of great clothes in to sell here. Many of my items were new or barely worn. I took in about 27 pieces or so and they only offered me $130 in cash. I opted for the store credit of $160 instead but looking around there was a bunch of crappy choices. Not impressed. I feel ripped off... Why isnt there any good consignment options in Dallas... One thing I miss about Denver. Boohoo.

Very large selection of mens and womens clothes. The quality was okay with just a few higher end things. I would definitely come back but can only stay for a few minutes due to the overwhelming smell of ? Perfume? Laundry detergent? Air freshener? Its knock-you-down-strong. Hopefully theyre tone it down soon. (Im not even someone whos especially sensitive to scents).

They have a pretty good selection of clothes for a reasonable price. I did go up there to sell and didnt have much luck. It was my first time selling and I thought I had pretty good clothes but I didnt necessarily know what was going on, how the process worked, what type of clothes they were looking for, etc. and I had tried to get an idea as much as I could by going on their Instagram and website. When I came back, I was offered $17 for 6 items out of two bins and a bag. I was expecting them to say what was wrong with the items or the reasons why they passed on them. Im not sure if they were being selective on certain items or what...I guess it was my fault for not asking them before hand or something. Ill probably come back to shop but go to Platos Closet to sell.

Where can I start. I have been to this location several time. I’ve been disappointed every time. Looks like they have been in and out of employees since the start and I don’t blame them. The owner looks god awful and stressed 110% of the time. She takes it out on the employees everyone is in absolute edge when she comes in. She just lingers without doing anything. I’ve heard them say I’d rather drown in work then have her here. No one likes her like I said I do not blame them. With a boss like that I’d never want to work. The employees are over worked. Enough on the employees. The stuff is over priced some are fair some aren’t. They never have sales for the higher end iteams I’ve seen stuff there since they have opened. If you are selling don’t even bother I have seen one of the managers with the long hair not even look threw my stuff I don’t think she knew I was around she rollled her eyes and kinda scammed threw it then gave it a pink tag. It looks like they can grow to something but with the owner around they will never be able to.
