From the moment my mom and I walked in, we were treated like their only customers! They have a wide selection of dresses - lots of different tastes! I ended up choosing a dress I didnt love on the hanger but just tried it on at the suggestion of the woman. She knew me better than I did! We also did my alterations in-store, which turned out perfectly! She made sure every detail of my dress was perfect and made me feel so beautiful. The amount of detail they put into their business is beyond incredible! I know I would not have gotten this attention from any other place!

My experience with Debra at the White Gown Workroom was wonderful!! She was incredibly helpful and made the entire shopping experience a good one. My mom and I were the only ones in the shop and it was such a personalized experience, which immediately put me at ease. As someone who does not really enjoy shopping/trying on clothes, she made me feel relaxed and confident in the dress I picked out. I briefly described what I was looking for in a wedding dress and the first one she had me try on met every criteria I had! It was absolutely the perfect dress for me. The quality was wonderful as well! I would absolutely recommend the White Gown Workroom for finding your wedding dress!!

I was referred to White Gown Workroom by a colleague, and I am so glad I chose them to alter my wedding dress. Having never done such alterations before, I was worried about how delicate my dress was and if it could even withstand the sewing required to take it in. But Debra did a beautiful job, and in the end it fit like a glove! Not only was the dress perfect, but the appointments were quick and easy and worked into my busy DIY wedding schedule.Great experience all around!

Debra is incredible!!! My sisters both worked with her for their weddings, she’s working with me for my wedding, and she is working on my mom’s dress as well! She is professional, a perfectionist, and is incredibly easy to work with! She has flexible hours and is a superb seamstress! My sister’s wedding dress was a corset back, but she wanted buttons and Debra redid the back of the dress to give my sister the buttons! My other sister’s dress was ordered wrong and it came in with big appliqués throughout that were not originally there and Debra was able to remove them expertly! My dress was completely the wrong size and Debra molded it perfectly! She makes your wedding dress dreams come true! I won’t refer anyone else when it comes to important alterations! She is the best there is! And plus her storefront is beautiful!

I took my princess dress about 4 1/2 months before my wedding day. When I first walked in Debra did not get up to greet me, she glanced out of her glasses from her desk and said Your dress is hanging up, you can go put it on, let me know if you need me. This is my FIRST encounter with the lady that is altering the dress for my WEDDING day. My mother and wedding planner were actually on their way and I wanted to wait on them to help me with my dress. I was very emotional from the dry greeting in the dressing room, my mother had to calm me down when she got there. Within my 4 fitting appointments, She took it upon herself to ask me MULTIPLE times Is this this dress you initially wanted? You wanted a big dress? as if my dress was not nice, or too difficult of a task for her, or as if I had chosen the wrong dress. I stated multiple times this is exactly the type of dress I wanted. I am a very positive person so I remained positive throughout the entire process. Fast forward to my final fitting for my bustle (my dress was very large with many layers), the fitting went fine and I would be picking the dress up the very next week 1 day before wedding day. I went to pick my dress up that day at 11am(one day before wedding day). I did not try it on and pick it up, I tried it on... she forgot to bustle some layers, we left had lunch, I came back to try it on, she still missed some layers, I came back for the third time around 3-4pm to get my dress and she was STILL sewing on it. I put my dress on around 3-4 times that day which was extremely unnecessary and unprofessional, my dress should have been done. Finally, she was done. Initially we were told the price could range up to 800$ for alterations. I never had an itemized detailed receipt of what I was being charged for. I ended up paying around 1,200 for alterations, and a veil. She did not apologize for taking up our ENTIRE day. We had to cancel appointments and we were rushed doing other tasks including taking my dress to Lewisville to get it steamed because she simply did not offer to steam my dress which should be included in such pricey alterations. We had to pay her before we took the dress and she made that clear. Debra was not as professional as she should have been. I do not recommend her to ANY bride, especially it being such a delicate time in their life. On wedding day, My mother and planner constantly had to bustle my dress throughout my reception, it was very embarrassing and I was very upset. My dress was beautiful but she ruined the bustle and could not do it effectively. We wasted 1,200.-Melody Gates

100% would recommend White Gown Workroom! Debra, the owner, is fantastic! You get a very personal experience, only 1 appointment at a time! Great variety of dresses at a very reasonable price. My sister in law found her dress here, which is a one of a kind dress! If you’re in the market, make an appointment here!

I’ll be honest, this was not a great experience. I was quoted $750-800 for work on a dress that cost me that very same amount for the actual purchase. I took it elsewhere and was able to get the alterations done for $250. I’d recommend shopping around before going with this place, as they seem unreasonably high and very stress-inducing about timelines even when you bring a dress in 3 months before your wedding (which is when the dress shop I purchased from told me to bring mine in).

Debra was referred to me by someone I used to work with. It had come up that I was going to be going wedding dress shopping and she told me that White Gown Workroom had a great selection of unique dresses and to make sure to check them out. I was able to book an early appointment with Debra before others that I had lined up the day we were going (my Mum and Maid of Honor were flying in from out of town so we had back to back appointments booked). Debra asked what type of gown I thought I was looking for and what my budget was and what size I typically wore in street clothes. She gave us a minute to look around the shop and pull out some options and also pointed out some shed recommend. She encouraged my Mum, MOH and MIL look around as we were getting into the first dress. Everything was very relaxed, didnt feel rushed at all. I tried on a gorgeous, completely beaded strapless gown that would have been WAY over my budget anywhere else, it was stunning and fit like a glove. She said it was a designer sample that they decided not to mass produce and I was the first person to try it on. The only thing holding me back was that I really wanted a gown with sleeves, she suggested a lace bolero jacket and as soon as I put that on I knew I had found my dress! Luckily the only alterations I needed were hemming and a bustle. Debra stored my dress there and I started coming in for alterations about 2-3 months before the wedding for fittings. The alterations went very smoothly and I was always shocked with how quickly she pinned! She has a beautifully curated collection of gowns that is always changing, she was always professional and great at making you feel comfortable and at ease. If you are looking for a wedding gown - go pay her a visit!

We were so blessed to find Debra when it came time to have my bridal gown altered. My mom lives in Austin and I live here in the Dallas area. She went out of her way to work around both of our schedules. She took so much time to make sure my gown looked exactly how I wanted it to look. I would highly recommend Debra to any bride.

Brides, do yourself a huge favor and go see Debra for your wedding dress needs! Seriously, shes a calm and peaceful oasis in a time that can be all too stressful! She is as sweet as can be, and KNOWS WHAT SHES DOING. She did a beautiful job hemming and taking up the straps of my wedding gown, as well as taking in the lace cap sleeves. She also hemmed my bridal shower dress that was completely beaded to the hem. Another thing that I liked was that she has automated email reminders of your upcoming appointments and shes very easy to get a hold of via telephone. These two aspects are highly important for bridal brain - what Im calling this mushy excuse of a brain that I currently have during my engagement. You may know what Im talking about!So...what are you waiting for? Call her up!

Alteration was alright. She didnt show up to a meeting on time. No text or call and I was waiting for a while before I called to make sure we had an appointment still. Very nice seamstress but work was left unfinished on one of the sleeves so I had to pin it the day of. Really wanted to like this salon, but overall disappointing experience for the money I spent.

I had a horrible experience with Debra. I am getting married in a couple of weeks and I gave her my wedding dress since December 2015. There were three main alterations to be done to the dress and I had appointments every two weeks to try the drees. However, there was no improvement during the first 4 months. She took the same measurements over and over again but the dress was always the same by the next appointment. I decided to tell her that I was not seeing any improvements on April because I started getting worried since the wedding date was coming closer. She finally started working on my dress by mid April but kept saying that she didnt know how much it was going to cost me. I kept asking and asking every single appointment but she never told me and I guess it was my mistake to trust her. On my final appointment she told me the price was almost 3 times more that what she said on the first appointment and by then I was only 3 weeks from my wedding. Too late to look for other tailors or possibilities. She finally gave me the dress last weekend. Her work was OK but I paid way more than I expected and she deserved. She did not steam the dress as she promised so now I have to do that as well. I would not recommend this place. It was a nightmare and her work was just OK for the money I paid.

Debra was a pleasure to work with, however almost a week before she was done with my dress she informed me of a price increase, and knowing my dress was big I really didnt argue about our original agreementOn the day I went to pick up my dress she has forgotten to shorten 2 layers of my dress and I had pins all over the bottom I had to ask her to redo the inside layerAfter all that the final product was not too bad
