Just moved to Dallas and needed a last minute costume to go to a party, found this store on google : good reviews, close to where I live, so having no expectations I decided to stop by and I’m so glad I did !!! What a magical place !!! They don’t just have your typical prepackaged cheap Halloween stuff, they rent costumes to theaters and movie sets. All you need to do is pick an era in history and they will be able to supply you with a few different options - not only clothing but accessories too! Place is big, staff is so knowledgeable and helpful ! I picked “roaring 20s” and tried a few outfits on, got advice on how to finish the look and got a matching outfit for my husband ! What an experience! I’ll be the best dressed guest at our friends Halloween party all thanks to this place and the staff.

This place has everything you need, and I mean EVERYTHING you need for any costume, makeup (Special effects), supplies, or prosthetics. Im a theater minor, and taking a Theatrical makeup course. I went here to get some supplies for class and was overwhelmed by the selection. Luckily there was someone on staff that was able to help me find what I wanted!

Yes. They have gaff tape, and spike tape. Close to the downtown concert venues. Helpful and knowledgeable staff! And they are open for in store shopping.

Unfortunately they are only doing appointments if you cant find what you need on their website so I was a little disappointed when I arrived. Definitely call before you go.

Due to Covid this location is closed and curbside pick up only :( The website is very hard to navigate and not everything is listed that is in store. Very disappointing to be unable to purchase items or call ahead to check if something very specific is in stock as the whole point of going to a local costume shop is to pay an upcharge on products for an in person experience. From now on I will shop on amazon instead.

This is a cool place!! I went to find a Halloween costume to rent. Their costumes are arranged by time period, so if youre looking for a particular era its really easy to find. You can search through the costumes and try them on yourself. They have a very large selection. And if for some reason you cant find what youre looking for on your own, the staff here is more than willing to help. Theyre knowledgeable, and personal. The costumes are great quality, the rental and return process was easy. Definitely should give them a try!!

I bought a Santa costume, rented a Santa stuffer, and also bought a Santa beard for $70 that I tried to return still new in an unopened package. I was told all sales are final and thats our policy. This is why people turn to online retailers or big box stores over a local business. Its a brand new product unopened in the package in condition to be easily resold. Get with the times. I will not be back.

I am enrolled in an Esthetics program, and my class took a field trip here to check out their makeup products. The staff here was SO FRIENDLY, and so knowledgeable. They were patient with all of us, and our tons of questions. They have a discount for students enrolled in a cosmetology or esthetics program, which is great! And the best part of the store would have to be the theatrical costumes in the back, you have to go check them out!

Very expensive. They have products on the website which they dont carry. I called to put some items on hold, the person told me hed have them ready for me, but when I got there they knew nothing about it, and they dont sell two of the items I put on hold. He shouldve said that over the phone to begin with. Other than that, they have pretty cool costumes

Amazing lil gem of a Costume store tucked away in the Design District. Been coming here for 10yrs, at least...it was shown to me by a friend and Ive been a loyal customer ever since. They are the only place in Dallas that Ive found that retails the entire Ben Nye line of makeup and so much more. If you like bold eyes with bold and bright colored pigment, they have all types the bright, the iridescent, and the sparkle you desire. For years I wore mostly MAC...but Ben Nye has slowly replaced everything. Also get all my lashes there...but thats just the tip of the iceberg...I just dont ever have a reason to dress in costume. Staff is friendly and helpful....and Ive found that they have outside the box solutions if you feel with skin issues like an excessively oily face. They have tonics and makeup setting sprays that work wonders. Dont be afraid to ask them. Anyways... great place!!

Costumes galore! And at a reasonable price! I went in looking for masquerade masks... they had a very small inventory, but I was impressed with their other costume gear.

We rented a Santa costume and instead of being white it was GRAY and not original gray a its been over used gray. Now you can get the one thats nice and white for triple the price! Ridiculous. Get rid of these old, un cleaned rentals! Will never return nor would I recommend this place.

I was looking for an artificial flame for our drama and found that here. The staff explained the operation of it and charged decent amount for rental. This place also has lots of costumes for Halloween festival.

This place has awesome theatrical supplies. Stage makeup, costumes and lighting are all on the menu. Their staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products.

They were wonderful, and helped me find exactly the costume I was looking for! I don’t mind boasting that I won several costume contests dressed as Queen Elizabeth II. Very highly recommend!

This place is a gem within the dfw area. Brands of makeup like Ben nye products, mehron, cinema secrets etc. are usually available at certain costume shops but no where else unless its online. This place with definitely let you swatch to see which shade matches & they have a wide range of beauty products to choose from. Check em out :)

I have been a NorCostco shopper since the 80’s when our high school theater teacher turned our drama club on to their huge selection of stage makeup. And a lot of makeup was required to make this then very young-looking teenage come across like a mid-aged character. Not only NorCostco (North Texas Costume, I think) have the best old-age makeup, their staff could provide application techniques—if they felt like it.Nearly 40 years later, that’s still the case. Just last week I brought a friend to get Halloween ideas. They had ample costumes (rental and purchase) and every imaginable accessory. Had I not bought a jumbo handlebar mustache, we would have never been greeted or addressed by anyone. Like I said, the staff can be attentive, if they feel like it.My suggestion: Find out exactly what you’re shopping for beforehand. Their website is helpful in that regard. Have the item name and number handy when you get there, because you may be your own best helper at NorCostco. Still, don’t let this dissuade you from checking out this cool costume place where you‘ll find professional stage lighting, props and hundreds of magnificent character costumes for rent. There, you can even buy blood by the bucket...bucket included. Enjoy.

Conned my wife into garbage cream makeup when I sent her for greese paint. And then would not take back the mistake.. They used to be great but now cater to nothing but Cosplay and light duty makeup and little else.

They do not accept returns on make-up, even if it is sealed and within less than 12 hours of purchase with receipt. They also do not tell you about this policy nor is it on receipt or posted anywhere in store. Beware.
