New favorite camera house!! BrainBox has the best gear at great prices. But more importantly, the people that work there are the best. Jared really took care of my order that kept changing and not a single mistake was made. Travis runs an excellent, friendly camera & lighting house.
I went to Marvin . . He was pleasant. I asked for a set of passport photos and he produced them at a fair price. I like this mom and pop establishment since they are a rare find today . Its a good feeling to give back to a family business versus a corporation.

Nice place, and much closer and more convenient than the alternatives that are in the valley. Prices are extremely competitive and the staff knows what they are talking about. I just wish the parking lot was bigger.

3 trips in 1 day to Brain Box office in LA traffic and the camera and lens still didnt work. 1. Pick up camera (Sony FS7) - very good service although very slow because there is only 1 person to take care of all of the equipment. He was very nice and apologetic and I was patient because he is such a nice guy. 2. Return Fujinon lens because the lens and adapter was faulty. I guess it happened before because they were discussing it when I brought the lens back. 3. Return camera lens with equipment for 2nd time because they forgot an adaptor piece.Then I have to now wait for the owner to get back from his shoot and into the office so that I can get a refund. He is the only one who is able to do this. So they recommended that I write an email to the owner and explain what happened. I shouldnt have to say anything. They should have made this right because I spend almost 4 hours in LA traffic going back and forth from the Brain Box offices. I had to explain to a client why 1 of the 2 cameras (luckily I had a backup camera) that he was paying for didnt work. Very embarrassing and potential loss of future work. I hope that they make this right by refunding my money asap.
Solid group of guys, good deals on a red scarlet package. Pricing was very fair. Will be back.
When we had a last minute need for a handful of camera accessories, the guys here helped us out even though they were super busy at the time. They even tracked down the specific lens we needed for us when theirs was unavailable. Will be back next time we need camera stuff!
