I will miss this place so much. Everyone there was always so nice and helpful. Always made you feel welcome! There’s not many stitchery shops still around and this GEM will be so missed.

Absolutely the best place to shop for embroidery items! If they dont have it in stock, they will get it for you.Im always greeted with a smile and they are amazing at remembering what youre working on!

Staff is knowledgeable and prices are good. Their selection is fantastic and they have a variety of other things like frames. They took amazing care to ensure the space was clean and safe too.

Stitching stores are hard to come by but even harder when they are as great as Welcome Stitchery! If they don’t have it, they’ll get it. Hard to believe they don’t have it though, excellent inventory, phenomenal service, great people. And don’t forget your framing pieces. - All around- second to none!

I really enjoyed my time. Theres such a wide variety of stuff here you cant move without bumping into something. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Ill be returning. They have a ton of charts and I think youd need several hours or several visits to really go through what they have.

They have everything that you need for cross stitch and the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They love what they do and it shows.

I have known Monica since I was a little girl. Now.. I stitch too with my mother. They always have good fun patterns in stock. And always willing to help you get anything and everything you need for your latest project.

Sometimes when you go into a small shop you are treated as an unwelcome outsider (LYS, Im looking at you) but that is far from the case here. The staff lived up to their name immediately in spite of having never seen me in their shop before. Because of that, I will go out of my way to return--passing several big box stores on my route.

I stopped by Welcome Stitchery on a Sunday afternoon, looking forward to buying cross stitch supplies for my next project, which I could not find near my home. I walked up to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked. I was SO disappointed. I live 45 minutes away and rarely go up to Crystal Lake. I stood outside for a second to check out the store hours (and realized they had closed just 5 minutes ago). As I was standing there, a man came running to the door and opened it for me! I was so surprised! I told him I didnt want him to keep the store open just for me, but he insisted! I was SO grateful! The owner was so very kind and helped me find all the supplies I needed, never making me feel rushed. Even though Ill have to drive 45 minutes to get there, Welcome Stitchery has definitely earned my business! (Next time though, Ill check their hours first before leaving home!)
