I had over 1700.00 dollars of work done there. Cheryl is awesome. Polite and very nice. They called me before any work was done to let me know what was wrong and the price. The work on my car was fast and professional. I would use them again and again.

My husband and I are from Indianpolis. We were up around Chicago for work and on our way back home our tire blew. The closest tire shop was this one (11 miles away). We limped the car there and they got us in and out within 20min. It may be due to our kids we’re with us, but whatever the reason they got is fixed quick and back on the road! They were really kind; they have no clue how much they saved us and how much we appreciate their fast help.

Great, honest and helpful staff....I was an out of towner that blew a tire on the interstate. I came in to the shop driving on a spare tire. After locating the leak on the sidewall of the deflated tire, they unfortunately did not have the tire I needed on a late Saturday afternoon to replace it, but took the time to check all my tires for proper inflation and that my spare tire had proper torque on all the lug nuts. They made sure my family was safe even though they were not going to make any money on a tire sale.

I had all 4 shocks and front struts replaced on my suv. They had the best price in town and had me in and out quickly. They have quality parts and back their work with an awesome warranty. I worked with Neil who helped me. The lady up front is also very kind and professional. I will be doing business for all of our vehicles here from now on. This is by far the best place in Crown Point.

I tried to get my girlfriends car a front end alignment and they said it needed a new strut to fix the camber on the car when the strut is less than a year old and wouldnt do the alignment even after we said it was ok just fix the toe adjustment like I had asked just to straighten out the steering wheel on the car and the front desk manager was being very rude and disrespectful to both me and my girlfriend and not professional at all and failed to explain that its the springs job to control the ride height and camber adjustment on the car and that was the part that was causing the issue but that it was smarter to replace the strut due to it being less labor

Brought my car in for an electrical issue preventing it from running without dying shortly after. I needed the car back ASAP and was worried since most mechanics are closed on weekends. Levin Tire in Crown Point was able to get me in and out all before noon on a Saturday. They were very thorough in their explanation of the problem, and I ended up spending less than I had originally planned. Both gentlemen at the counter were very professional as well. In conclusion I would have to give a 5 star rating.

To start with, the product and the work performed was excellent. My issue is with the appointment times. I had an appointment for 8 am. (For which I was on time). They didn’t start working on my vehicle until 12!! Wasn’t done until after 1. Worse than a doctors office. Why have appointments when it’s really a first come first serve business. Very disappointed.

Im traveling through town this summer. Stopped at Levin tire with no appointment to get my tires rotated. These were Goodyear tires that I bought online. Levin got me in within 30 minutes and rotated my tires with no charge. Definitely recommend these guys!

December 23rd driving from Charleston SC to Northern Minnesota. As we came out of Indianapolis the car suddenly developed vibration that was getting progressively worse. Stopped for gas just south of Crown Point and realized we needed to have the car looked at ASAP at 4:30 on the day before Christmas eve. My son did a search on his phone for the nearest tire shop and it was Levines. We called ahead about our problem and Cheryl was reassuring and confident they could help us before closing time. When we arrived Cheryl and Julian along with three other technicians thoroughly checked our vehicle and its tires as soon as we got there. Knowledge and competence of all was impressive. Diagnosis was bad tires and Cheryl was the star. Clearly knew a lot about cars, tires and customer service. We were on our way in about an hour. In retrospect it was like a NASCAR pit stop. Absolutely love this place! Been coming since I bought my 13 Scion tC last year. Since then Ive gotten new brakes and many oil changes from them. Wait times can be alittle long, but if I hit them up first thing in the morning, they are responsible. Definitely recommend!

Brought my car to have a tire with a nail in it fixed and waited 3 hours to have them tell me they couldn’t fix it and that they didn’t have replacement for it

My first time trying Levin, Crown Point, and definitely my last. Called this morning, requested an appointment but was told to just bring the car in and they’d take care of me this afternoon. Dropped the car off at 2 to get an oil change/tire rotation, told them I’d walk around Crown Point to buy some time and be back in a little over an hour. Also said my kid was next door at daycare so this was really convenient to try out. Came back an hour and ten minutes later and my car had not been touched. They said they’d be bringing it in ASAP to be worked on (after thinking it was already finished) so I took a seat. 20 minutes had passed and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. So, I had waited for an hour and 30 minutes and no one had even touched my car - for a basic oil change.Walked up to the counter, asked for my keys to leave, they seemed confused that my car had not been worked on at this point. Got the standard “I’m sorry. We were busy.” Nothing else. I’d like to say that the gentleman at the counter was polite each time I talked to him and I’m not saying they were rude, but this store needs to seriously get it together. There was 1 person waiting when I got there, no one waiting when I got back. So knowing that I was walking around CP, stalling so they can work on the car and then I’d pick up my child... just seemed extremely arrogant that they had let it sit there for an hour and a half.Again, this was my first time trying Levin and certainly my last. How about a “bring it back first thing tomorrow and we’ll hook you up with a discount” or something to help the situation. But no, just a “I’m sorry. We were busy.” I’d recommend going elsewhere to a company that values their customers, especially brand new ones... clearly Levin Crown Point does not.

I have been a customer here for a long time, and will continue to be. They have always handled the normal checks, tire rotation, balance, etc. But recently they went above and beyond. I had an encounter with a curb. Dark intersection, all of a sudden bright lights. Up and over the curb. Saturday night. Had the car towed to their lot Sunday morning. Bright and early Monday, I get a call. They found my name and number in the car. I told them what happened. Tuesday morning I picked up my car. New front tires! No extra charges. No extra stuff I didnt need. Like a lot of places try to do. Just quality service. Great people.

This location and staff are great. There was a problem fixing my car, and it was a challenging issue with the gasket timing cover. Though it took longer to fix than originally planned, they offered to get a rental car for me free of charge. The customer service is fantastic. And the whole crew is great. Would highly recommend.

Their customer service response was enough for me to come back for “one more try.” Our most recent service was done without a glitch, with smiles, and accurately the first time around - a complete change from the last review that I posted!Original Post:I brought both of my vans in for repairs at Levin Tire this week. In BOTH instances, the work was not completed correctly on the first try. For one of the vans, I purchased 2 new tires for the vehicle. On my way back home from the service center, several warning indicator lights came on. I returned promptly to the store. The service people scratched their heads for a bit. My mom came to pick me up while they continued to brainstorm the issue. When my mom walked up, she immediately noticed that the two back tires were smaller than the tires up front. The mechanic had put the wrong size tires on the vehicle. The manager then said, This happens all the time.For the second van, once again, the warning indicator light came back on after the initial repair. I returned to the store and they reset the system. On the way out the door, the manager said that if the light comes back on, I may want to replace the gas cap. The next day, the warning light came back on. I purchased a new gas cap from the dealership. The light didn’t go off. When I returned to Levin Tire for a third time, I was told to, “Drive it around a while and see if the light goes off.” After $1, 414.91, I am just supposed to drive it around some more and see if the issue resolves itself. On this third time in the store (for just this particular van), the technician at the counter didn’t even bother to get up to check the sensors or offer to reset the system. It felt very much like, “We have your money, good luck.”

I have bought a lot of tires from Levin, ever since the 70s, and I was a loyal Goodyear user (except the Pirellis for my BMW). I took my Grand Cherokee to get the tires balanced and rotated before we left for Florida (I felt a little shimmy in one of the tires), and to stay in the warranty. They said they were done, I took it for a drive on I-65 and it still had a shimmy except now it was on the front, I took it back and they said they could do the balance that simulates being on the road, I said I thought that was how they did it already, they said no that that costs more money, so they did that and it still shimmies plus they nicked my rims coating .I said that I should get a new tire because I had the warranty and they said that was a road hazard warranty and what was wrong with my tire is possibly a breakdown of the tire itself. I said that Goodyear should replace it then, they told me that I would have to buy a new tire and then they would send my tire in to be evaluated by Goodyear .I dont know why I have to buy another tire. I bought tires from them in good faith but I dont believe that I was treated in that manner. I talked to the main Levin in Highland and it just sounds like lies were being told by the technician (tire changer), and then the management. Well anyway Im done with them, Levin and Goodyear. I also asked to be taken off their mailing list and they didnt do that either. Oh well I guess you just cant get through to some people.

Had a run in with a curb, needed my car fixed asap, leaving on vacation early next morning. They would not make an exception, nor did they do as promised and make it first priority in a.m. While owner/manager was friendly enough he didnt do as suggested when i called. Will not recommend.

Used cheap replacement rotors that rusted like crazy. All brake rotors will have some rust but within a month of having these on my car, rust was flaking off. When I brought it to the managers attention (including a walk through the parking lot to point out that no other car brakes have so much rust), she eventually offered new rotors, but they never arrived from the vendor - even after a full year. Avoid.

Busy place took my tire to get it repaired slow leak....asked the older lady at counter how much she says 21 off the truck and 35 on....I told her will be back on saturday to bring it in....brought it back and lady that told me that price was there but she was busy..another guy helps me and I told him came in yesterday and brought my tire with me..He said it will be $26.00...I say to him that lady told me like 20 bucks...she heard our conversation and turns and says I told him $21.00 real mean and cranky......come on guys dont extort people for greed....treat people fair and honor what you say..Its just the principle of matter...I paid for the repair that took almost 2 hours and the lady just wasnt friendly at all...Real matter of fact...she seemed cranky and short with people as I sat and observed ..so sad..life is too short....treat people with respect....you are in a people kind of business and interact with people all day....my local guy who is fantastic with tires was closed for 4th of July weekend....He charges 18.00 I would pay 25 he is a straight shooter and real nice and always takes care of me and my family....a world of difference from this place.....

Hm let’s see, I had a hole in my tire, I called to see about getting in, the guy that answered was highly rude, so I decided to go somewhere else. My sister had a problem with her car and when the car was done, the lady mom stopped called her and left very rude voicemails and when my sister called her she was very very rude and she kept calling my sister after that as welll, as she is waiting for a ride and she let the lady know that. Hm thank you so much Ms. Cheryl for being so disrespectful and rude, we won’t be back and we will let others know how rude the staff is there too, this place should highly reconsider on who they hire, because they just lost a family of 13, and that’s only the start😘

I was failing emissions and wanted to know the exact problem. They told me they would find it. Well, they didnt. 50 dollars to do a 5 minute scan. They wanted to replace my o2 sensor for $250 (The o2 sensor is fine). I told them no on that and to do a smoke test. They said a new o2 sensor will change the smoke test, are you kidding me? The smoke test was also overpriced. They just wanted to make money off of me. Do NOT waste your money here, the mechanics dont know what they are doing and charge way too much.

Im not really sure where all the recent HATE comes from but this shop was pretty great to me. I came in without an appointment, with a screw in my tire (air leak). There was no hassle or unprofessional communication from the both shop managers. Chip attended me, he polite and informative. Boom, bam, I was out the door in less than an hour and only paid $25 for the repair. I will comeback for an oil change and inspection.

I used to think they do quality work, but every single time Ive ever gone here, I got quoted one thing and then had the price raised on me later on. I took my vehicle there a year ago to get rear shocks. They replaced them, and right as the warranty was running out, I started bottoming out my car on the smallest of bumps. This knocked my exhaust loose. So I brought it back asking if they could look at my exhaust and as well as my shocks and find out why I was bottoming out so easily.They tried to charge me 200 dollars to put a ten dollar bracket on my exhaust, never mentioned my shocks or why I was bottoming out, and tried to get me to pay 1300 dollars to rebuild the rear differential on a 13 year old car! I had also had them change the oil on my fiances vehicle, and it was dripping oil all over my garage floor when we got home!Despite this, I brought in my fiances vehicle AGAIN to repair her air conditioning. Three tries later, it still wont work! Now Cheryl wants us to bring it in on a certain day so one of her CERTIFIED techs can work on it? So who the hell was looking at it before? Im done with this place. You should be too. Stay far away.I would suggest St. John Auto. They always have fair prices, dont change their quotes, and get the work done much more quickly. Give them your business...not Levin.

Every time I need service on my car, this is my destination. The staff is always polite, efficient, honest, and personable. Even after only one visit their staff remembered my name. Whether my alignment was sent outta whack by the pot hole dodging course that was the roads after last winter or if I just need a routine rotation, Levin always gets the job done right and does it with a smile.

Do not let them work on your vehicle. Each time I have gone to them, I had to go right back and make them fix a mistake they made. They claim to know whats wrong, but make stupid mistakes that take all credibility away. They forgot to push a plug wire on after replacing two ignition coils. That was the second time I brought my vehicle in for engine sputtering. I asked them How do i know that wasnt the problem to begin with? They said I should trust them. Never again. Dont take your vehicle there.

I came in wth a flat tire asked for a new tire. they said the tire still looked good and wanted to check it I said just give me a new one because I was going out of town. well they checked it anyway and told me that there was no problem with the tire and that it was safe to drive. so I gave in and said thanks thought they saved me some money and was pretty pleased with that. so about 45 minutes into my 800 mile trip I felt some thing was wrong and tried to get over before I could get over BOOM the same tire that they said was safe to drive exploded. I called in very mad and the lady on the phone said it was my fault. if they would have just given me the tire that I asked for none of this would have happened some professional they have working there. I highly recommend not using this place to get anything done!

Although the person on the phone was professional, they tried to charge me 700 dollars for new tie rods and an adjustment. As a college student, I did not have the funds. After being advised to take it to USA Muffler and Brakes in Merrillville (literally up the street by ten or so minutes), they were going to do the same work for just over 350 dollars.These guys tried to scam me so badly. DO NOT go here; they are a bunch of thieves.Plus, USA Mufflers and Brakes were willing to have someone come in on a Sunday to have my car fixed before I went back to school! Do yourself the favor and drive the extra ten minutes to get quality repairs and quality service.

Called on thee coldest day of the century for a new set of tires. Quick courteous service. Cant say enough about the folks at Crown Point Levin. Also, the Goodyear Weather Readys were just what the doctor ordered.

Poor service. Was told my car would be taken in next, about 30mins to a half hour. Dropped it off. Showed up a little over an hour later. My car was still in same spot. They had taken another walk in that I watched come in after me. Told me it would still be a while as there were 2 cars ahead of me. I just took car and left. Would not go back. Apparently because it was a small job, they did not want the money.

I have been taking my vehicle here for the past few years and never had an issue, this time was totally a different story, This is the first time I had to take my vehicle back after they said the service was completed. and this is also the first time that the price quoted to me wasnt the final bill in fact the price changed from the original quote to when they called me to pick it up and changed again when I arrived to pick it up and pay for it. My last two visits have been for over $6K in repairs which wasnt an issue when they are done correctly- after picking my vehicle up and attempting to drive it home I had to turn the steering wheel 3/4 of a full rotation before the front wheels would move an inch and they say they test drove it before I arrived. looks like I will have to find another place to have my vehicles serviced, disappointing

Awesome place! Very trustworthy! After Firestone tried to rip me off on an alignment, I took the car to Levin on recommendation. Not only did they save us a headache since we were here visiting family from GA but they saved us from wasting money on an uneeded alignment. I would trust them 100 on any car. Too bad we dont live here.

This full service auto store has serviced my car for many different things. I know I can count on Cheryl and the whole staff to fix whatever my cars problem. From breaks to engine to windshield wiper motors, they do it all. Cheryl has rescued my mom numerous times and is always ready to help with whatever I need with my busy schedule. She and the whole staff work hard to take good care of my family. Levin Tire keeps us on the road!

They screwed me big time. I spent thousands there and it never fixed my problem. Before they looked at it I didnt have an exaust leak now I do. I bought a battery there had it replaced once because it was faulty only to have it replaced with another faulty battery. The people have ZERO CLUE what they are doing and charge out the butt. Neither me nor my family are ever going to these scam artists again.

Im a ASE certified Ford Technician. I recently put and outer tie rod end on a friends trailblazer. I checked out the entire suspension and steering systems and they had no further issues. She went to levin and they tried to sell her ball joints and the other side tie rod. She needed neither! What dishonesty!!! I had her bring it to the chevy dealer in lowell were she lives and they didnt even try to sell here anything else. What a joke!

My VW Turbo uses special oil, they let me bring in my own oil and filter. They changed my oil and filter and rotated the tires for $19. Great service free Kcup coffee too! A+!
