Took my car there to get a leveling kit installed. It was the incorrect part, which was my fault. I bought it previous to going there. They informed me very quickly and offered me another option. No issues, done quickly and wonderfully. This place is great and their customer service is better than most.

Dave is the owner . In general he is fair to his customers and wont cheap you on not needed repairs . Which is huge for this industry and it wont hurt if you tell him Phil recommended you. He doesnt have the latest scanners to diagnose for newer cars . But he is always honest and forthright.

Overall I would give 5 stars for their prompt and honest service. Recommended.

Kevin likes to get the most money out of you for everything. Keeps telling you more needs to be done and how much more money is needed. Kevin makes DAVES shop seem like they are money hungry and not there to help.

Mom took her car in for an oil change with her own oil and filter. Was quoted $15 because she had her own stuff. They charged her $35 and spilled oil everywhere. They never reset the oil maintenance light. Never got a oil reminder sticker for the windshield. And forgot to put the oil dipstick back in which caused multiple cylinder misfires. And then had the nerve to tell my mom she had a bad coil, that’s why the car was missing. Lol the car was missing because it was missing the oil dipstick🤦🏻‍♂️ Took it back and they new exactly what I was there for. Put back the dipstick and the car stopped sputtering instantly. Dave the owner never even apologized. He just said we were doing your mom a favor. Well Dave or David my mom is grateful for the headache. Never again will we go back to there. Not only does Mickey Mouse work at Disneyland, he works at Sonoros Auto in Covina.

This place is horrible. Lack of customer service and Kevin straight told my niece that the guy who put in a transmission that she bought and took there, that they had problems with him. Bad place.

Sornoso has been around a Looooong time. He has done repairs for several family members and has always been honest and fair with all of us. I just recently had him do a repair and it was just a good experience. Engine problems are not always easy to diagnose and though some things like a belt breaking are obvious things like water leaks, electrical etc. can be really dodgy to identify and it takes some exploratory step by step diagnosing to figure it out...Thats where it can get ugly sometimes. Dave the owner tries REALLY hard to provide a clear picture of best case worse case before diving in. In my case it took a few test to get it figured out but it was painless and he charged me exactly what he estimated it would be....There is no perfect mechanic they are human but you can be assured Dave is a straight up guy who will not intentionally try and pad the bill after the fact like some other places do. Thanks Dave!

Beware. Took 2 trucks same engine for the same service: oil pickup tube o ring. 1st truck 2007 Silverado was done right. 2nd truck : 2006 GMC Sierra, service was never completed. When I went to pickup my truck I addressed the issue of oil pressure being the same(LOW). He tried telling me my truck needed a lifter set and would cost an additional 650.00. I didnt fall for it and ended up taking the oil pan down myself and to my surprise o ring was in pieces and never replaced. I put on new o- ring and problem solved oil pressure shot up to normal and lifter noise gone. Shame on you Dave for lying to my face. People trust you to be honest and ethical and you rob peopleshard earned cash.

All I can say is, Dave is very honest !! Highly recommended.

I had taken my Rav4 here previously for work and the work seems fine but there was always an upsell at every visit so I got tired of the pressure and quit going. Today, I needed a simple oil change and they are close so I decided to take the Rav for a quick service. Dropped it off just after opening and went to do run some errands. About an hour later I get a call from a tech saying my car was done but there were several other routine services due and an oil leak coming from the valve cover. I asked for an estimate on replacing the valve cover gasket. He said $100 labor plus parts and that it should take about an hour and half which would be about 11 am. I figured the gasket would cost about $25 so I said do the valve cover but not the other services he mentioned since they were done earlier at another shop. I called about 11 and they said it wouldnt be done until 1 which was slightly frustrating. I called about 130 and my car was done. I went to the front desk to pay. Nobody was at the counter for several minutes. The owner came in and handed a key to another customer that was waiting and basically ignored me an walked back out. A younger man came in a few minutes later and wrote up the ticket which ended up being $206. I asked the price of the valve gasket replacement and he said $163, $100 labor and $63 for the gasket. I mentioned that the price for a gasket seemed pretty steep and he said there was a delivery charge for the part. I just looked at him, paid, and left. I googled the cost for a valve gasket and you can purchase them for around $20. And their $20 oil change they advertise ended up costing almost $40 so go figure. I wont be going back.

Got a smog here.. They failed my car visually, free re smog tried to schedule a re smog after getting a new catalytic for a wayyyy cheaper price than they originally quoted me for 380.00, i got it done for 200.00 brand new!, anyways, i tried to schedule a re smog, kept calling these guys, theyre never available to schedule me due to theyre too busy! So i ended up getting a re smog elsewhere because my 30 day re smog was up..... Sketchy guys always just looking for profit... Do not go here. They quoted me 250 for a new belt job on my car.. They belts cost 20.00 at autozone.. 230.00 for labor? U serious? I did the job in 15 mins... So yeah
