From minor to major repairs, I have been very satisfied with their services. I especially appreciate getting an explanation of what is going on with my car. This summer, while out of town, my A/C went out. after spending $300 to replace a part that ultimate did not fix the problem, i was told my compressor needed to be replaced, i decided to wait until back in town and have associated auto repair have a look.After running the vehicle through diagnostics tests, Craig took time in explaining what was wrong with my A/C, which now runs as good as when I first bought my car.I recently dropped off my car for an oil change and front brakes, I asked Moises, who was helping me if they did smog checks, which they don’t. He offered to take my vehicle to have it smog checked which I’m glad he did, because prior to having it tested Moises found out a fuse had gone out, that would have been a problem with the vehicle communicating with the smog equipment. Their attention to detail in their overall customer service is outstanding.Everyone as busy as they always are, is willing to assist you with a great attitude!

Associated Automotive does quality work. I have been coming to Associated for many many years. The Techs (Brett, Craig, Steve the Owner and everyone else Ive dealt with over the years) know their stuff. Associated will not just throw parts at a problem. They take the time to diagnose the real problem (sometimes simple, sometimes not so simple). They will let you know what you need as well as what is recommended (they realize money is tight), I have never been charged for anything I didnt feel was necessary. I have also had to pull a vehicle out because I couldnt afford the repair - an honest price I couldnt afford at the time. They were partially into the tear down (which I had approved) before taking the vehicle back. They re-assembled the vehicle and charged me NOTHING. I received prompt and efficient service at Associated. I have brought several of my vehicles to this company over the years and Ive always been happy with the results. The technician explained everything in detail that I needed to know about the repair.

I brought in 3 of my cars here to get AAA inspections. Very helpful and mechanics knew their stuff when looking over the cars. There was no pressure to get something done and didnt feel any made up problems that some places might make up to make a quick buck. They do take take time to look at the car and do take time to do diagnosis to figure out the problems.

I came across Associated Automotive Service several years ago and after my first service repair I knew that they would be my PERMANENT automotive service company. My ONLY regret is that I am not able to give Associated Automotive Service more than 5 stars here. I simply cannot say enough good things about this shop and the employees. I had my truck towed here after looking for a AAA approved auto shop. I was checked in by the owner, Steve. Right off the bat, I felt comfortable with him. He is so down to earth and seemed genuine and very personable. I had called ahead of time and he remembered me as soon as I came in. I explained the issues we had with the truck and Steve explained what they would do, gave me the cost for the diagnostic and said theyd call me as soon as they looked at it. He even asked if I had a ride back home or if we needed them to take us. (we had followed the tow truck in but it was nice that they thought to ask).A VERY short time later, I received a call back from Bret. Again, he was so pleasant with me on the phone, took the time to explain every detail to me and answered all of the questions I had. I found him to be extremely honest about what repairs were critical and what might be able to wait. Just like with Steve, I felt I could completely trust what he was telling me and I RARELY trust mechanics. I authorized the necessary repairs over the phone.Maybe an hour later, Brett called me back and told me that because on my particular truck, the water pump includes the thermostat, my estimate would be lower than originally expected. LOWER??? What mechanic calls to tell you that you dont have to spend as much money as you thought!? I was thrilled and we decided that we wanted Associated Automotive to go ahead and do some of the other minor R & R work as well.Less than 24 hours later, my truck was done. I went to pick it up and Steve rang us up, reminded me about the AAA discount that I would receive and as I paid, the final total was way less than any other shops I had called and I had more work done here than I would have at the other shops. I listened to Steve and his employees working with other customers in person and on the phone and they treated those customers with the same kind of respect and friendliness that I had experienced.We agreed that this will be our home auto shop from now on and we will refer all of our friends and family here. In over 30 years, I dont think I have had a more pleasant experience than at Associated Automotive. I highly recommend them and appreciate the great work they did, the attitude they have about their customers and the fact that they seem to really appreciate you bringing your business to them.

I emailed Vicky to get a quote for a repair on my Suburban and she responded on the same day with a detailed amount on the cost of the repair. They were very competitive compared to other auto repair shops. They had great reviews from other customers, so I came in early the next morning and they had my car ready at the time they promised. Called to buy a radiator they told me theyd give me a call when they got it in. I was waiting all day for them to call only for me to give them a call and he casually says its in. Like when did it get in why wasnt i called. Just left with my hands up my ass waiting. Their lucky they have the best prices compared to autozone or i would never come back for radiator work again. If you tell someone youre gonna do something then do it.

Steve runs an honest and first class shop. You can trust that they will only do the work that you need done. Their prices are fair and the work is done right!

I would give zero stars if possible. Brought my wifes car in when her ac stopped working and was given the usual spiel about a possible Freon leak and that they would check it over night for $58.25 and let us know in the morning. The next day Craig called and informed us that the serpentine belt was missing and the compressor was completely locked up so it would need to be replaced. He quoted us about $1500-1600. We told him thanks but we couldnt afford that cost at this time and would be by later to pick up the car. Before picking up the car, I checked quotes online and found that replacing the compressor should cost less than $1000. When I asked about the cost discrepancy, Steve blew me off saying I could find anything I wanted online but it wouldnt be accurate. He showed me a break down of the cost, with a $505 compressor, a $35 serpentine belt and some other parts. I can easily find a brand new compressor for ~$250 and even if I bought the compressor from Kia, it would only cost me $344. I understand that there are industry standards as far as labor costs, but the markup on the actual parts is ridiculously high. After taking the car home, my wife decided to simply buy the parts and whatever she couldnt replace herself, she would have another local mechanic replace. Her first step was to buy a $17 serpentine belt and after replacing the missing one, lo and behold the AC works again. This should have been the first step for Associated Automotive Service, but they were more interested in ripping us off. I paid $58.25 to be lied to and treated like I was stupid. My wife drives a base model Kia Rio, its pretty obvious we dont have money to waste. Im appalled at their quality of work and dishonesty. If they were not intentionally trying to steal from us, then they are so incompetent that I have some serious concerns regarding their ability to function as normal adults

If i was you look for a better shop ! I took my car to Associated Automotive Service shop to get a new AC condenser replaced and recharged with freon and two days later i get my car back . So i figered out my AC was going to blow cold again and guess what, it doesnt, its even worse then when i took it in to the shop . Steve was the person i spoke to and he gave me a price then later on he said its going to cost more so i paid the full amount. My car is a 2016 dodge dart and newer car require a different AC freon and Associated Automotive Service doesnt have it so STEVE said he would take it to one of his friends shop that has the type of freon so he did. A couple of days later i take my car back to STEVEN and tell him whats going on so he takes it back to his friends shop and call me back to let me know that everything is fine that theres nothing wrong with the AC . So i take it a PROFFESIONAL dodge dealer ship and apperantly my cars AC was over charged with freon and made my AC compressor shut off . I feel like i got scammed at this shop IF I WAS YOU TAKE IT SOME WERE ELSE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING !!! Steve dont even call me on my phone anymore I AM NOT INTRESTED ON ANY OF YOUR free oil change for a month to try and fix this situation . BE HONEST WITH THE CUSTOMERS WHEN YOU SAY I WILL GIVE YOU 50% OFF IF YOU ARE A (AAA) MEMMBER because i didnt get my 50% off liar . I have a receipt to prove i didnt get my discount !

I seldom write reviews at all,let alone positive ones.I have been going to Associated Auto & AirALSO known as Associated Automotive Services in Covina,for appx 18-20 years now.I moved up to the High Desert 15 years ago but continue to drive down the hill for automotive work on my various cars thru the years and also my husbands and daughters cars.It is very difficult finding a GOOD,HONEST repair shop where you feel you truly are being told the truth and are happy with the work done….For that very reason,it is well worth my familys time to have Associated take care of our auto needs.All the employees ( which the majority have been there years) are most friendly & so helpful.Also the work ( for the most part) gets done in a timely manner,which is huge to me.The owner Steve Hart,head mechanics Brett & Craig along w Vicki who runs the office are simply top notch.I highly recommend this place to anyone that is unhappy where they have been going or maybe just want to try a new place,get a 2nd opinion…whatever,you wont be disappointed.
