Im being gracious: I would give a zero if it hadnt been for the girl at the front. It took them 3 xs to get it right. Had major electrical issues on Mini Cooper S F56 with brakes lamp control and brake system failure going crazy a day after they installed rear view camera both times and was told it wasnt their fault. Wont go their again. I dont recommend them for any BMW or Mini Cooper cars.

I called several places before deciding to purchase my speakers from Gilbert at Planet Stereo. As a female I was a little intimidated by my limited knowledge of stereos and installation process. Gilbert was patient with me and walked me through everything. I feel happy with my purchase.

It was a bit pricey for a 400 watt amp, amp kit, and installation, but it was professionally installed. It also took longer than they said, but the man installing it was honest and did save me a little cash. All in all I will go back. I recommend.

I went here to get a new radio installed in which I had a factory Toyota Camry radio so no Bluetooth and let me tell you if you come here they will take care of you well. Been here before to do stereo accessories but this time I Ordered some avid 1 wheels for my 2018 subaru wrx.. Gilbert helped me out and was super helpful got my wheels quick and install was even faster...also thank you to the lady at the counter I didnt get her name but she was also nice and helpful with filling out the finance part of it... thank you..... highly recommend any1 to come here...

Place is a rip off. Online quote was a lie and they wanted almost twice as much when we brought it in. Went somewhere else that honored the price + $50 for an agreed accessory.

As a busy, single mom, this review was delayed until I found the time to visit a junkyard and install my own dash (with the help of my cousin). While I am grateful to now know how to install a dash cover/a.c. vents, I was very displeased with the installation of my car stereo from planet stereo. Very disappointing considering that the man at the register seemed very kind and we talked a lot of the time that the other guy was installing it. I even tipped the man who installed it even though the plate was broken. I didnt realize how broken right away and they told me it was easy to go to a pick a part and just replace it.I was trying to go to a mom and pop shop rather than a big store to support the city of Covina and ended up just being rubbed the wrong way by the outcome.On a recent trip to Nevada, my dash finally wasnt holding anymore and so I went to a pick n pull and took the plate out of an old Toyota as I needed the air conditioning for the high heat.The photos are how my dash looked after the installation. Prior there were no issues. Sad that i cant even trust some small businesses anymore.

Service was okay the other day when they install my radio(Even though I felt they over charge me a bit more), but the mechanics failed to close my door when they parked the car in front of the business when they know that people can sneak in stealing items in my car and left my A/C on without turning the A/C off or even asking me for permission to use it. I thought business was fine but in the near future, Im going elsewhere.

This place is okay if you want to pay extra for equipment and their mistakes.Have brought three cars here for tint and some sort of audio improvement.I got an okay deal in person but the price was different everytime from when I would call in advance.I never just show up, I want a price range and it changes by a couple hundred if your not paying attention even with the same equipment I had asked about over the phone. The selection of equipment is nice but if anything goes wrong they expect you to pay for their mistakes.My tint had bubbles and they charged me to change it but I only got it a year ago max. My other car I got tinted closer to home and same problem, but no fee. Had my receipt for both. His explanation was, the workers gotta get paid too..So take advantage of the customers with your mistakes to pay your employees?I had a problem with my battery when the touchscreen turned on and I called to ask if they can check it out and they said I would need to leave it all day and I would need to pay if they found something not working.....Over time this business became money thirsty.

I was stuck between two radios and thankfully Gilbert was able to give me two separate price quotes so I could make the decision that was best for me. Once I chose the radio I wanted, the staff were super friendly and efficient. It looks great and they even gave me a quick tutorial on how to use my fancy new radio before I departed. For the first time since Ive had my car, I finally got to play music, have a radio, and gps! Super happy and grateful!

Best stereo and wheel shop has a advanced camera system for my mirror for about 400 bucks, sorry brother I burnt the coffee maker

I brought them an install kit wiring harness and a 2 din head unit the installer left me with the worst install I have ever seen in my life he cut into my Tacomas factory wires and used black tape that gets all sticky he just twisted and taped no connectors no solder amateur he wishes what a lame

I had my nephew go in and get prices on an aftermarket unit and their parts prices were fair enough but when he asked about installation the true nature of salesman came out. The price of the unit was170, but after they added in the cost of all the additional parts needed to make it work properly in his vehicle, apnd installation, it jumped to just over 800 bills! Ouch, thanks, but no thanks.

I had a bad installation i have been trouble with the stereo and the amplifier it gets out of control the volume and it turns off and the same with the amplifier they took a long time to install and they charge me a lot for everything 👎

Came in as a walk-in. I was looking to install a new stereo in my Pontiac Vibe. They took me right away. Al was very helpful, he showed me a couple options. I picked out a stereo and he told me upfront how much everything would be. He said it would be a 1-2 hour wait but only took 40 minutes. They have an area with couches for you to sit and watch TV. When it was done Al walked me out to my car and showed me how to use my new stereo. I was very happy! I love how it looks and he assured me it has a warranty so if anything happens I can bring it back. These guys are knowledgeable, helpful and fast I definitely reccomend this place.

My brother recommended this place to me and boy was he right. I came to get a stereo installed and they definitely took care of all my needs and concerns, plus some. The customer service here is excellent no long waits they took me as a walk in and installation was fast. Haven’t been here in years due to living in Pasadena. After visiting several shops in my area and being disappointed with the selection I made the trek out to Planet Stereo. I should have done this first! Walk in with my 2year old and instantly greeted. The staff where happy to help and, at first I did, leave you alone to wander the store. After getting the lay of the land I asked for advice for the setup I was looking to add to my F350. Staff was very knowledgeable and showed me the stuff that I was into while comparing it to other styles and brands. No pressure to buy more expensive toys, I’d actually say they where happy to sell me what I wanted. Answered all my questions and weren’t coy when a question asked to them needed a question answered by me back.This is a full service shop. I had a new dash unit and speakers installed last year. Price was reasonable. From what I can remember, the salesman was a fast talker and tried to sell me additional items. Today I had the equipment they installed taken out to be put in my other car and I find that the dash unit and speakers are labeled refurbished. 1 star for them for being crooks. Beware.

Stopped in last week after talking to Jay on the phone . Was looking into getting a back up camera and head unit on my work truck. I installed an AUX port for my old car so I can listen to internet radio through my radio speakers. I received higher quotes from competing companies so I selected Planet Stereo. They explained in advance how their solution will work and after the installation walked through how to use the AUX port with my radio. The installation was done elegantly, so the wire and switch can be hidden when not in use. The installation took about an hour and everything is working as expected.

I had an andriod double deck installed in my car. It had a backup camera Bluetooth GPS, microphone. The super buff guy who works there gave me an incredible deal on the install. Less than half of what is the going rate. The install took longer than expected due to my buying the wrong parts. They had to custom cut the mounting bracket. They kept their word on the price and still did all the extra work that my install required.I love my new radio and install.Highly recommend this place!!

Fourth drive to planet stereo!!! I was completely disappointed on the End results service. I asked for Alpine cameras and ended up with some cheep A%^* cameras on both my vehicles. Learn a valuable lesson take your vehicle to an authorized real Alpine dealer shop that will backup customers from getting ripped off!!!!!!

Had a great experience! I THOUGHT the wiring for my stereo was loose, so I brought it into planet stereo in Covina. The guy was very helpful and explained a lot of my uncertainties. He informed me that the wiring on my passagenger side was the problem, and fixed it no charge. PRICES WERE GREAT! I recommend this place to everybody, they can help you with any questions you have.

Sorry to say I am a local who had drove by for years and always wondered how good it was, walked in on a dead Sunday afternoon, fearing I would be bothered by guys wanting to load me up with expensive car stereo, found the opposite wandered the place for Twenty minutes with not a single question. Warning: Stay Away They Will NOT honor ANY warranty. They will not fix any issues even a day or two later. They will harass and blame u for their shoddy work and ridiculous customer service. This is really a 0 *s review. I will never ever go to this place again. They owe me $250 for a viper alarm and killswitch. And $800 in repairs. Heres why...I had just purchased a 1972 el camino. It was a gift from my father. So we naturally went to get an alarm system & killswitch. We were ignored as we looked around. I guess being a female they figured I didnt have $ or know anything about cars. They were of course completely wrong. I purchased said items and talked to their service guy. It was clear he wasnt used to working on classics but reassured me he could do it. 1.5hrs later the job was finished.Although we had to have him hide & fix exposed wires.A day later my car started having trouble starting. By the next day she was completely dead. They sent out a guy to check to see what the problem was. Obxiously all he did was try 2 start it 1x and then blamed my alternator battery and starter. He didnt even bring any equipment with him.Cut to towing her to a real mechanic shop... After he went through the entire car, he discovered the wiring was done like a hack job. These idiotsconnected 18g wire to 12g wires- something ANYONE with experience knows u NEVER DO! They ended up frying my distributor starter ignition ignition coil and All the electrical. I was out of a car for 3 weeks and it cost me $800. The mechanic even said he would testify in court that the work that was done was clearly done by someone who had no experience or business messing with electrical wiring in cars.Of course when my fiance and i attempted to bring this to their attention over numerous phone calls and trips to the shop, they immediately denied everything, told us it was our fault, and threatened us that even with proof they would never fix our car and were ready to let their lawyers drag it out in court, which would cost us more time and money.Theae guys are the worst and i would advise u to take a painful leason from me and stay the hell outta there. What they do might work for a min. But i Guarantee u the min It doesnt they wont give a damn bcuz they already got your money. Thanks for nothing assh+++s.
