Wow, first time in the new store. Amazing.

Went to Costa Mesa Ganahal yesterday with a return. Wow was I in for a surprise. The normally happy and friendly staff werent so happy and friendly. in my 60-years, cant ever think of a worse return related expience. Granted the unopened hardware had been purchased beyond thier 30-day return policy, but they could have been nice about it and at least listen to my story. Maria just didnt care. I left when she started raising her voice and cant imagine ever going back. And yes, I had my receipt.

Lumber and more lumber, and you can use stairs to easily climb up to the shorter lumber pieces, after you drive into one of the two, indoor lumber warehouses so you can directly load the lumber into your vehicle... did I say there was lumber? And helpful employees.

They have a decent selection of building materials, but do not have very many options with coil nails. The clean air vehicle parking spots are always full of non clean air vehicles, and when employees are asked about it they say, I dont know and go on about their business. It would be very easy for the checkout people to notice when trucks park in those spots and to kindly ask them to move or not park there next time.

My first time after moving from another state. Immediately fell in love with the service, and packed shelves. Found products I couldnt find anywhere else. And my major remodel was close by. Left spending couple grand on lumber, tools, supplies. Will be back for much more.

This ganahl lumber is huge. And they are usually very very busy.and they have reason to be, they have everything there and theyre fast and efficient. This is the best ganahl lumber Ive ever been to.

Good customer service, did not have problem getting help.

Useful alternative to Home Depot. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes extremely friendly and helpful and sometimes you feel like you are a burden even when at the register. They are removing inventory diversity and pushing customization, which sounds good except it means they are less likely to have what you want on hand and custom orders takes 5 weeks. If you make a mistake and buy the wrong item returns can be a hassle.

What a poor service I was looking for a miter saw 8.5 inch. one guy send me to back desk back desk said what you see is what we got? I purchase this same miter saw here 2 times on the past I ask you think another store will have he said go to lumber guy ask him I go back you will need to call I mean they dont want to sell it what is wrong with them

Have always had good experiences here but today was a different story. I asked for a transfer of a few 16 foot boards from Anaheim to the Costa Mesa store. Was told I could drive up and get them in Anaheim but since they cant guarantee the quality they dont want to request a transfer. When I asked for them to do it anyway I was told to go and check the stock in Anaheim first. In essence, they refused to request the transfer. He said I could have Anaheim deliver for $60.What is the point of having a Ganahl Lumber in Costa Mesa if I have to drive to Anaheim anyway. So frustrating.

I stopped by because my contractor recommended this place. Its a nice shop, but they did not carry the wood baseboards style I wanted. They had to refer me to another store out of the area. Ugh. No offers to have the stuff delivered to me or schedule for later pick-up at this store. I guess thats not in Ganahls customer service policy.

Easy to look around and find your stuff. Very nice staff, just order at the counter for your lumber and crown molding and etc.

Customer service is their first priority.

Good customer service, products & Isles are well displayed, I found everything I was looking for quickly. Ganahl Lumber has all the lumber & products you need in building, construction, repairs for commercial & residential applications for the Professional, Handyman or Do-it yourselfers with fair prices.

I went there to get paint and varnish. The gentlemen that helped me was so friendly and best of all very knowledgeable and helpful. I would go there again.

This is my first review in my entire life - phone service was so unbelievably bad I had to share.I asked a representative (costa Mesa location) how much for 1 MDF and if the actual thickness of their MDF was 1 nominal or undersize because my project depended on it. He then raised his voice and said you asked for a quote for one inch and I gave it to you then hung up on me. Those were my only two questions by the way. I dont understand what triggered this man but it caught me by surprise and he was very rude.I was inquiring about buying all of my material for a big job (didnt get the chance to ask about other materials needed) and there are too many options available to deal with this kind of unprofessionalism. I will definitely not be making my purchase here.
