Had Star install a new heat exchanger and HE pump on my 04 Mercedes E55. Chris was very friendly and helped me make plans for future modifications. He also inspected my car during the install and gave a quote for the parts needed. A great shop with people who genuinely enjoy what they do. Will definitely be going back again for more upgrades!

Chris and his team are amazing! I’ve been seeing him now for a little over a year and he’s helped me quite a bit. I still have warranty and yet he’s honest. The dealer blew me off a couple times about a clicking noise I experienced and he told me what was wrong and put it in writing, and the dealer corrected it. Today maybe the most fun I’ve had with my GLE63. I had it tuned and it’s an animal. Yes, he’s a little drive from my South Bay residence but it’s worth my time. He’s super professional and knowledgeable. If you’re in search of greatness and camaraderie then look no further.

If you need any service for any late model Benz go here for better and less expensive service than an MB factory dealership. Owner Chris is best as they come...man with a plan.

After doing some research and talking to some close friends, I decided to go with the Eurocharged Canada tune for my 2017 c63. I spoke with Eurocharged Canada over the phone and found that Star Motor Werks was a reputable shop, which supported their tune. I pulled the trigger and had Chris install the tune for me last Friday and Im glad that I did. Chris and his colleagues were all very professional and after just a few hours my car was tuned and ready to go.Ive went ahead and driven my car quite a bit over the weekend and I can say that throttle response is significantly improved, power delivery is also drastically improved from before and I love the burbles that the car makes while in S+. Oddly enough, it feels like general drivability is much better now too (comfort mode feels even better now, before I had significant turbo lag after hitting the throttle) and there is no jerkiness based on what Ive experienced so far. The car just feels much more responsive and I feel like this is how my car shouldve come out from the factory.Apologies for the wall of text, but its safe to say that Im pleased with my decision thus far and look forward to having more stuff done to my car in the future. I would highly recommend this shop based on my personal experience.

Best Mercedes Benz Amg service in town!!!

Came here to have my Mercedes checked out as I felt the dealership was trying to charge too much and say I needed stuff that was not true. Chris came highly recommended and also has great reviews all over online.Brought my car in and he was very professional, clean facility, employees are really nice, knowledgeable, and he seemed to have all the current equipment and tools.He called me a few hrs later and explained what was wrong with the car, sent me pictures of the part, and got me a qoute. Had him do the work and couldnt be any happier with the level of service he provided.Great shop for any Mercedes needs.

Incredible service from a knowledgeable shop!I live a long way from Sunny California andI wanted to upgrade my open diff in my 2012 AMG C63, but didn’t know exactly what I needed to do the job. Star Motor Werks to the rescue.They told me what I needed for the job and put together a parts “kit” for me. They were super friendly and cool about the whole thing and even gave me some tips that made the job easier.Definitely recommend these guys!!

Hands down, the BEST Mercedes mechanic shop in Southern California!! Found them through our Mercedes car club and they take care of everyones car. He takes the time to explain in detail repairs, recommendations, service requirements and knows what hes doing. Growing up as a race car mechanic I know theyre extremely knowledgeable. Its nice to feel comfortable leaving your car with a mechanic and know it will be very well taken care of. A must go to spot for your Mercedes vehicle.

I have owned about 20 Mercedes-Benz vehicles over the past 22 years and obviously have seen my fair share of repairs and repair shops. Although most of my cars did end up at the dealership for service under warranty, recently I have found myself with slightly older cars out of warranty. My friend recommended me to Chris who reminds me so much of myself when I was a small business owner. Chris certainly understands the value and importance of customer service and in my book gets 5-stars. Chris is responsive, listens to your needs and most importantly, he takes care of business by making the necessary repairs to your car and delivers on-time with results. In late November my 2009 E63 needed new motor and transmission mounts, along with a transmission service. Chris was able to offer me much better value over the estimate the dealer gave me. Chis also found some very obvious other issues that the dealers multipoint inspection process just flat out missed, like algae growing in my brake fluid reservoir, What? How did the dealership miss that one? Chris doesnt know this and probably wont until he reads this review, but for about 5 years from about 1998 to 2003, I was a secret shopper for Penske Mercedes in West Covina as a secret evaluator for their service department. My job was to write a report for every service they provided for me and to send a detailed report of each service experience to their general manager. I am pretty sure that I was responsible for dealerships providing Mercedes vehicles as loaner cars as one of my reports early on was to send the message that having Enterprise car rental provide me with a competitors vehicle such as a Chevrolet, or Nissan was a bad idea and that Mercedes was missing the mark and the perfect opportunity to have active Mercedes owners test drive a newer model of Mercedes and potentially create a new sale based on their existing clients loaner car experience. Ever since my report and Penske starting their Mercedes loaner car program, all other dealerships seem to have followed suit. Chris was able to loan me a Mercedes ML on this service, which helps me out a lot since I live a good 30 minutes away, but he doesnt have new loaners. At this point, the loaner car isnt as important to me as getting a fair price and excellent service, which is exactly what you will get from Chris and Star Motor Werks. One last, and potentially very important note to add. If you have an AMG car like I do, you understand the additional complexity that these cars come with. Chris is probably one of only a few AMG experts around, so dont just have anyone service your AMG car, you really need an experienced technician like Chris and his staff to do it right.

I have used Chris of Star Motor Werks as my primary mechanic for years. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of late model Mercedes Benz vehicles, he also specializes in slightly to highly modified AMG vehicles. Chris has done repairs on my E55 ranging from scheduled oil changes to a complete motor replacement. Fast, Fair, Professional, Mod Friendly and easy on the pocketbook.
