This is a top-notch auto shop, and those can be very hard to find. The owners are very polite, great communicators, and really see you as a long-term customer and not a one-an-done-maximize-profit transaction. They give you honest input (aptly named company) about any issues that your car is having, as well as proactive maintenance input without being pushy or insistent on anything getting done today. Their technicians are sharp and their maintenance is done with the highest quality. I used to live nearby and now live in south Orange County and I will gladly drive 30 minutes or more to get this level of quality and service!

After getting ripped off i found Brad at Honest-1 and finally, someone that knows what they are doing! Not only was he honest and very knowledgeable, he was also extremely fair with this pricing. I had some pretty major issues going on with the front end of my car and they were able to fix it I would say better than original! 0 Definitely going to Brad from now on for anything mechanical. I also have to note that the entire staff was in a great mood and just a pleasure to deal with.

I spoke with the owner of the auto shop yesterday at 10 am explaining that our vehicle needed an alternator replaced on it. He told me that our car would not be able to be seen until Wednesday 9/22 the earliest but if the vehicle was left there it would be seen on a first come first serve basis. I was already late for work and had two babies with me, I parked the car in-front of his shop with intention of bringing the keys back after I made it to work, on my lunch. We live directly across the street from the shop and I asked the owner if our car would be in his way, we could leave it at our house until it was ready to be seen. The owner explained to me that it was no issue at all for the car to be sitting at his shop. As I mentioned earlier the keys were not left because we were in a rush to get to jobs and the kids to school- our intentions were to drop the keys off after work, since the car would not even been seen until Wednesday and it was no issue parked there- (direct words from owner)To our surprise this morning he had our vehicle towed from his facility after not even being there 24 hours. We made attempts to call him yesterday afternoon after the car was dropped off to let him know the keys would be dropped off after work, with no answer. The shop was closed when we got home, so we could not drop the keys then. My husband took the day off work to go to the shop as soon as they opened this morning to discuss a plan for our vehicle to be fixed, and the owner had already gotten our vehicle towed. There is nothing honest about this company. The owner assured me there would be no issue with our car sitting in-front of his shop. We told him the make, model and color of our vehicle. So he was fully aware of what vehicle would be left, and he still had our vehicle towed not even 24 hours after being told we could drop it off. When confronted with this issue- he essentially told us it was not his problem. So now we are footing the bill of a tow expense as well mechanic issue- AFTER BEING TOLD WE COULD LEAVE OUR CAR AT HIS FACILITY.

My car had two leaking issues and visited Honest 1. They charged $0 for diagnosis. Found that one was engine oil leak from an oil seal and the other was fluid leak from power steering hose. Based on the diagnosis, they quoted the repair. I thought that the repair cost was reasonable and asked them to repair the leaks. Next day I received a phone call and heard that the actual cost was reduced significantly because they found a easier way to repair and could reduce the work hours. I was surprised a lot because they were very honest about what they did. I recommend this place to every one.

Brad is the best! From the moment my car got dropped off he provided the best experience for me. He is very knowledgeable, honest and provides great customer service. Ive been going to Honest 1 for at least 5 years after a friend recommended them and I have never been disappointed. Ive never felt pressured for unnecessary services and they have actually let me know when I dont need something that Ive asked about. Between my 2006 4Runner and my husbands 2005 Avalanche, they have done general service, breaks, alternator, transmission, air conditioning, tires and Im sure Im missing some others. They are very efficient too. For, my most recent visit, I had an appointment for next day afternoon but ended up dropping my car off the evening prior. They diagnosed it and fixed it the next morning, before my scheduled appointment! And, bonus, Kurt and Brad are really nice; they remind me of friendly uncles who also know about cars. Highly recommend Honest 1.

Brad was the absolute best! I was stranded at my friend’s house and my car wouldn’t start. Dashboard malfunctioning. Because I have an extended warranty, I didn’t want just anyone to touch the car. I had my car towed to his amazing shop! The next day he fit me in and did the diagnostics and luckily it was just the battery. I have an Audi A3 so I wanted to make sure there was nothing else going on with it. He really helped me out and even picked me up the next day because I couldn’t get a ride! They misdiagnosed the problem and caused me to spend an extra thousand dollars on it. I went somewhere else and found it was a simple electrical issue that was fixed with a new fuse. Honest-1 claimed they checked the electrical so they are either not honest or just incompetent

Service was great, my car was losing a lot of gas, they replaced the gas gauge sending unit. Now my fuel economy is a lot better, especially than before. Along with a good price. The people that work there are super nice and friendly.

This shop was great! First contacted them on the phone, very warm, friendly and professional. Brought my car in and they educated me on price and what my options are. Being a female it is nice to go to a shop and not wonder if you are getting taken advantage of. They called me with up dates and finished the job quickly and correctly. I recently bought a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5L and it runs quite well, it gets very good gas mileage and the air conditioning works; however, it has some issues and I wanted to know exactly what those issues were and what it would entail to correct them and for that, its time to call Honest-1 Auto Care. If you need to know the condition of your vehicle, Honest-1 Auto Care is hands down, the best place in Orange County, and probably the best place in Southern California, to go for a full on vehicle inspection! They checked no less than 91 different items in my vehicle! They found 3 items that were urgent, 20 items that were imminent, and 68 items that checked out okay. They have completely eliminated any guesswork for me. I know exactly what needs to be done with my vehicle, when I need to do it, and what parts Im going to need, and how much its going to cost, to get everything in tip top shape. Ive known many mechanics and Ive been to many shops in my time and Ive been charged for vehicle inspections and 9 times out of 10, I leave knowing less about my vehicle then when I arrived. If you have a problem with your vehicle and you dont know what it is, take it to Honest-1. If you want to know the condition of a used car before you buy it, take it to Honest-1. Honest A-1 did a fantastic repair on my Volvo XC-60 that had been making a grinding noise upon start-up. I had taken it to another repair shop to diagnose the problem and they were unsuccessful. I came in with a transmission light on that has been on for a couple of weeks. No one likes these lights on on there vehicles. After dropping it off I felt at ease and very confident and comfortable that these guys would do the right thing and get the job done without breaking my wallet. They were fast and and very responsive to diagnosing the problem. I’ll be going returning back, hopefully not soon, lol, but would definitely recommend!

Getting your car serviced is like going to the dentist or the doctors- you dread going and keep your fingers crossed that there arent any major discoveries. However, Ive been to A1 on three separate occasions now, and I would have to say, that, overall, its a pretty pleasant experience. Brad, the owner, is genuinely a honest, funny, and patient guy who does such a great job at explaining any work that needs to be done. Although during my most recent visit, it was discovered that I needed some extra work done, he explained to me that it didnt need to be done right away as it was not critical to the car being operational. Most mechanics wont tell you that. They are after your money. Brad is different. He understands that his customers have different needs and he does a great job of explaining what the options are. One of my favorite things about coming to A1 is the fact that whenever theres something that needs to be worked on, Brad will have one of the mechanics walk me over to the car, show me the item, and educate me if its something I am not too familiar with. Today, his son Justin, worked on my car. He did a great job and was always pleasant in demeanor. He also took the time to explain an issue I was having with my car after he did some discovery work.In general, I think if you dread taking your car to the shop its usually a sign that you dont have a lot of trust in your mechanic. After my 3rd visit here, I can confidently say that I dont dread having A1 work on my car. I already know what to expect- honest work, fair prices, great employees, Brads great sense of humor, and being treated like a valued customer. If youre looking for a new place that you can trust, A1 is it!

Cons lied to me telling me that I need an alignment. They Showed me a fake alignment result that was not for my car. Took my car to another shop and they gave me accurate results that indicated no alignment was needed. The honest guys also charged me $20 because I did not choose to leave my car for the alignment they said I allegedly needed. These guys are not Honest.

Honest -1 is truly HONEST! My dealer told me I needed new brakes for $1000, so I sought a second opinion here. Kurt and Brad Informed me that my brakes were perfectly fine and almost new. For a mere $37 diagnostic fee k saved the $1000 and can now drive feeling safe. Thank you guys for being honest and i will be recommending all my friends to you and will seek you out first for repairs. The guys also left a little package in my car if a few candy treats so their touch was so nice. You guys are GREAT!!!

This company is amazing I own an electric company and have many vans I take there every time I expect to here its gonna cost an arm and a leg and its always good news and honest work.
