Friendly helpful staff at the Halloween wall

It wasnt too busy at all when we got there (a little after 3pm on a weekday). My son wanted to be the Hello Neighbor guy for Halloween this year and luckily we found it here at this location. Unfortunately, the costume was incomplete as it was missing the gloves and inflatable shovel. Brittney, the associate, went above and beyond and found the missing pieces to the costume and I truly appreciate her for that!

I went to this location on Saturday 4/20. I Was shopping for birthday stuff for my son. I picked out balloons to match the theme I picked when I asked the clerk about inflating them he told me they were out of helium, WHAT? Out of helium ? How could a party store be out of helium, and on a Saturday at that! The clerk said yes we have been out for a week, I replied A WEEK? that’s unacceptable ! . He said yes in a nonchalant way, it happens about 5 times a year, again I’m sitting there trying to take it all in. He then says at least we have only been out a week the other store has been out for about 3 Mos!!! He went on to tell me their supplier has been short on helium and so they are supplying hospitals before party city. In my mind I’m thinking-change frickin suppliers, I’m from Houston I have shopped my local party city store for years and have never had an incident where they have run out of helium. I told him I really wanted the balloons ($19.99) I picked because they matched my theme but wanted to know where I could have them inflated . He said “well dollar general, dollar tree and family dollar I have been told no longer inflate balloons bought elsewhere but you can try a flower shop or HEB. I stopped by HEB about 4and yes they could inflate the balloons but it costs me $13 but I had to have them. Here it is Sunday and the balloons have already fell down 🤬

Nice selection but only 3 stars for the pretty much not existing customer service! The onecperson I found working there was sitting borer in the baloon area looking like he is about to fall asleep. He didnt say thank you, welcom or have a good day and seemed annoyed that I asked him to take something from the upper shelf!

Overpriced! 1$ to fill up a single simple round balloon that you bought paid almost 10$ to start with. And 5$ up for anything else plus you have to buy the balloon separate . 20 $ to fill up 7 balloons!!!!!
