Ganahl lumber is a great store, to me is a life saver, when home depot and Lowes dont have what I need normally ganahl lumber does, so they deserve five stars.

Top notch place for lumber and tools.

Incompetent credit manager (I believe her name is Ellen, in the Anaheim yard) who wants to make a name for herself, causing a major waste of time. She also had the audacity of refusing to take my call or return my voicemail after the sales associate transferred my call to her (the sales associate confirmed she was in the office, and herself admitted that she was frustrated, and could not understand why they would not accept the order).1. We provided a credit card authorization form with a copy of my out of state drivers license and US passport for a $15K order. Note: this drivers license alone was enough for me to buy a $60,000 vehicle via phone from a Los Angeles-based dealership. Additionally, a passport is accepted in any place of business as an equivalent form of ID as a drivers license. it appears that the person I was dealing with has probably never left the country and likely doesnt know what a passport is.2. Secondly, I offered to complete the transaction with my wifes credit card and California drivers license, with her signing the paperwork. This request was refused because it would raise too many questions.3. There is no way I will ever entertain a bid or contemplate utilizing Ganahl for any current future projects. You have lost on what could have been a meaningful pipeline of business.4. I was able to place the same order via phone this afternoon with another supplier (BMC), with a 3.5% discount over the Ganahl quote, with no issues.

Good deals on Milwaukee tools a lot of the time...great place for special lumber and molding..also carries a lot of other supplies for the professional craftsman for business and pleasure..

It was very good. Ganahl has all the materials needed for just about all contractors. Only reason theyre not getting 5 stars is the forklift drive dumped my lumbar package, he was not paying attention to how he had the load on his forks.

I never knew the people helping you By lumber Have quotas of sales amount of money that theyre supposed to hit each month.Workers behind the counter are supposed to solicit work and upsell to you or theyll be fired. How can you trust the person selling you stuff when theyre put in this position.I put in quotas on their employees gone all lumber is soliciting a workplace of mistrust lies deception and embasically grabbing money as much as they can in a time when theyre making record breaking profits theyre trying to grab money even more screw you canal lumber never going back your store again

Big store. Lots of toys (table saws and such) to play with. Only place I could find amber shellac in stock.

This Lumber shop has Great service. You can find quality parts,tools paint and best Lumber. This place reminds me so much of 1980s Builders Emporium and Ollies. No! Comparison. Homedepot and Lowes cant touch this.

Im in the process of building a new home and tried getting a door quote. The salesman was rude and condescending. I was missing some details on 2 doors, Left hand vs right hand swing, boring and weatherstripping type. Instead of asking to get the information he was just a jerk. Glad I bought our lumber pack from Dixieline lumber. The house is about 50% complete. Still needs doors and exterior siding. Guess Ill be buying elsewhere.

This place is great. It is a great specialty store and has all kinds of cool tools. They are also a great source of woods and mouldings. Always enjoy going here and wandering. Service is usually incredible. I was asked 4 times if I was good and I appreciate that. I also really like there selection of finishing products (although Im new to finishing and dont understand what is truely out there).Great store! And great service!

I used to think Ganahl was the place to go. However, on my last 2 trips, the salesperson got the orders wrong, forcing me to waste at least a half hour each time going back in to get the paperwork corrected after loading up in the yard. This second time, I politely asked for a discount to make up for my wasted time 2 times in a row. She said she wasnt the one who screwed up the first time. Rude customer service. When I got home, I noticed she had given me a discount... 10 Cents off over $30!! Home Depot and Lowes are now my go to lumber sources, since Ganahls quality is no better and Ganahls customer service has apparently disappeared.

Great experience and skill associates. The Wife and I went in to look for raw cut hardwood. They have a nice selection of edge cut, and rough cut lumber. We picked up some walnut to make a couple of chairs. The staff was very helpful. Picked up a few router bits also. Nice selection of lower priced and higher end type tools also.

They have hard to find wood siding. Great selection of lumber and moldings base boards ect...

Ganahls Lumber is a necessary evil. They have the best lumber selection around. If youre looking for something specific, & dont want to order it and endure the wait time that inevitably entails, there is a good chance Ganahl will have the lumber you need, in stock, available for immediate pickup or delivery. They dont have the cheapest prices around, but they do have a vast selection of lumber.Then theres the people. Im not sure why it is that specialty lumber & hardware people believe they are on such an elevated plane from others that they dont have to speak to them respectfully, or even politely, or even at all, but they do act as if the air they breath is rarified, just for them. The staff here is almost universally rude. ALMOST. There are a few hidden gems-of-an-employee that will help, sometimes even proactively, but for the most part the staff here is rude and unaccommodating.Ganahls employees: you truly just arent that special. Your customers may, in fact, be involved in far more weighty & significant endeavors than you, so how about the respect flows both ways and you show it as much as you expect others to deliver it to you. Better yet, how about youre actually proactively NICE to customers for a change.Ganahls has also implemented this incredibly impersonal method of social distancing: their staff members are roped off, like royalty, and you cant get too close unless they beckon you. It is truly off-putting, bordering on insulting. If you are so concerned for your health and safety, how about wearing a mask like I do? I was, you werent, & yet I have to bend to your will. Thats some kind of retailer.

I WENT THERE TO BUY A COUNTER, AND HAVE IT CUT, MY WIFE AND I WERE IMPRESSED WITH HOW CLEAN IT WAS, THE PEOPLE WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10, IT WOULD BE A PERFECT 10 .

Dont buy Milgard windows from Ganahl lumber. Window quality is terrible, and service techs are even worse. Been out twice to five the window and only made worse each time. Dropped the window on the floor damaged the wood floors and broke the handle off the window.

I was sorely disappointed by there wood milling service. They have long turn around times, and they cannot follow simple instructions. After three attempts to get it right they cost me to be late with my project, and they ruined a perfectly good and expensive piece of wood. Avoid their milling service, theres better out there.

Ganahl Lumber has in stock, the types and cuts of wood other lumber yards will order for you but dont stock. You get to choose the piece rather than order and hope for the best. Great lumber yard.

Rest of the store seems fine however I admit we never purchased anything more than doors.I called the Door Dept for help with a door we purchased from them and the SALESMAN wasnt very helpful. In fact he was extremely off putting and seemed anxious to end my phone call. I dont think he knows his products very well.Its a shame that salesman dont stand behind the products they promote and arent knowledgeable enough to help their own customers with quick questions. I consider this bad business practice and poor customer service.

Everything in one place including in-house Milling and custom doors rough sawn lumber drywall and just about anything you could need great location right off of the 15 and 91 huge Warehouse most Lumber is under roof so no warpage try it you like it.

Not good the sales person at the counter does not know what their doing. I needed 5 -30Of 6x6 and he tries to sell me 5-48 which makes a 20 so I ask him to sell me a 14 instead and save 50dlls thats how careless they are . dont care about costumers
