A friend recommended Tom to work on my John Deere 318 and I drove from my home 45 minutes away and got to see Tom and Tom said that he didnt know how to work on that engine it was 30 years old but he would that it didnt need the valves just. This is a John Deere dealer John Deere says that they need to have their valves adjusted and it needs to be decarbon every 500 hours so how can he have never had done it. Small engine mechanics that are real mechanics are far and few between they have excuses where were $100 an hour you cant get parts for them blah blah blah which none of that matters if you need something small like 2 hours but he didnt want to work on it and I didnt want him to work on it after spending 5 minutes with him
Had two of the 4 belts I needed in stock. Placed the other two on order, Also had the spark plug for my weedeater. Frendly folks and lots of mowers, blowers, grass eating machines to choose from.
I felt so good about doing business with these folks Dan is top of the line. The gentleman at the parts counter was fabulous. However the mechanic in the back needs to get a personality he is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I will probably purchase from them in the future however I absolutely refuse to use their service department.
Well, its a tough place to review. The people are super friendly and will help you with everything they can. The issue seems to be the knowledge of products. If you have done your research and have the answers its great. If you have questions, not so much.
All I can say is wow. Came in to buy a piece of equipment and they basically didn’t have enough time to help me. Kept me standing there for 1hr20min for a quote and was to busy to answer questions I had between 2 units. Worst attitude and customer experience. Take your hard earned money somewhere else. I was able to get pricing from several other dealers while waiting and made the drive elsewhere. UPDATE: I purchased a tractor today March 25th from Statesville Ag&Turf. People take the drive and get good pricing and customer service. Bradley from statesville is awesome. Lake Norman tractor sucks.

Grrat Service. Wasnt too sure about a 48” deck due to slopes on my yard. Derald told me to take it home and see how l like it. After two cuts ting different angles l decided to go with a 42” deck. Not a problem Derald said. “ bring it back and we’ll get you on a 42”. No questions asked. A++
Always a great experience. You have to be patient. Sometimes it may take time to explain a tool to a customer who has never used one. Always had great advice and service. Would give a 5 but nobody is perfect.
Inquired about JD lawn tractor via their web page portal earlier this week. No response was received. Contact LNT via the phone and went for a visit. Sales was involved with another customer (not a problem at all) so I hung around the show room. The sales rep knew I was waiting on him but when another couple came in he took care of their questions (they may have already been in queue outside but an explanation would have been nice). When I asked him to tell me about this tractor he could have responded with an elevator speech but instead what do you want to know. Got a very high level overview but having already done my homework I felt this was the model I wanted. Being concerned about the tractor fitting into my shed, I went home to measure the doors and attempted to contact LNT later that afternoon. I finally got in touch with Dan after repeated attempts to purchase the unit and purchased the X350 from LNT primarily because of the location of their dealership. My tractor arrived yesterday and I was prepared for my first mowing this morning. Prior to doing that I needed to lower the wheels on the deck from the default position. One wheel was easily adjusted but the other was so tight that it cannot be adjusted. It would have been nice if my mower had arrived mower ready. I considered ordering from John Deere directly...wish I had.
Great equipment and the staff is awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone.
7 months to the day I bought this it quit running do in part to bad manufacturer my saw has now been in there for 3 weeks and still do not have it back because they cant seem to figure out what it is. It is time for me to take my business elsewhere after being a loyal customer there for 5 years I spend thousands of dollars there every year time to spend my money elsewhere
I purchased STIHL brand gloves which were used once; the rubber peeled off both hands. Instead of refunding me upon returning with the receipt, they filed a warranty claim with STIHL and said I would be reimbursed once they were reimbursed (IF they are reimbursed). It should be reimbursed. Especially with the receipt. Out of respect for this place I went ahead and purchased another pair of gloves. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here over the years, and they can’t reimburse me 17 bucks? Careful what you purchase at this location... if it’s defective and STIHL won’t reimburse Stan, it would appear you will not be reimbursed either.

I walked in on a Friday around lunch time. I was told a sales man would be back from lunch soon. The lady (she was very nice) in the office took my information down and said someone would call me as soon as he was back from lunch. 4 days went by and not a phone call.I was hoping to walk in and be able to see prices on the tractors sitting out front. There were zero prices. All I wanted was a ballpark of how much they cost. Ive waited 4 days to find out a price. I didnt need to talk to a sales man. I just wanted to know prices. At this point, I think we will take out business elsewhere.
Every time I have work done the cost is significantly more than the estimate, frequently due to addition items. For example I had the feeding tube with in the gas tank slip off. So if you rotated trimmer it would die. They choose to replace the carburetor too. I had told them prior carb was fine and it was gas feeder line. Even small items. Bill is generally 165% higher than quote. If once I would understand it but this has happened every time I have needed a repair item done. It must be purposeful. I have called it on them every time. In carb situation they told me they threw away old carb so I don’t have a choice. I hate having to drive elsewhere but seems only choice to avoid their game.

If you are buying something new like a weed eater, leaf blower or chainsaw they give you good customer service. When I took my leaf blower in and said it won’t start, I asked for a new spark plug and air filter. They told me to go to the service department and have them write up a work order. I went out to the service department and told the man I wanted a new spark plug and air filter, and told him my leaf blower won’t start. He said that is not what the problem is, he said my gas must be old, or it is the carburetor, not the spark plug. He pulled out his book to write up a work order,for me to leave my blower, I told him I don’t have time to leave it there to pick up another day. I went inside to the parts department and bought a tune up kit, (spark plug, air and fuel filter), came home changed all 3 parts and it started immediately on my first try and runs like a charm. Apparently the man in the service department either didn’t know what he was talking about, or just wanted to charge this old lady for a work order that I could fix myself.

I have bought a string trimmer and chainsaw from then maybe 3 yrs ago, and gas cans, extra chains and mower blades. Theyve serviced my pressure washer carburetor. Ive had all positive experiences and glad they are close to my home and business.

Was just passing through, but had a knowledge staff and a good selection of yard work tools. Not really a hardware store, but more of what youd expect from a small specialty store in terms of what accessories they carry for the items they carry.
Very nice staff and helpful for anything you need.
Great place to buy mowers and parts
Salesman wouldn’t get out of his seat to sell me a $20,000 tractor. A mechanic gave me enough information to take my money to Statesville. Dont bother asking a question or get huffed at by sales.

Not only did they fix my push mower ahead of the estimated time (10 days instead of two weeks) they also told me how to avoid the problem next time as well as how to fix it myself if it happens again. I cant think of many places that would do that.
