My lawn care business has been using this store for over 20 years. Back then it was known as Fisher Implement. They sold Toro, Honda, Echo, Husqvarna, Classen, Deere, and some others. It was a store that you could truly buy the best brand for the job you were doing. Then was a 5 star experience. Now that Pape has it (and the dozens of other stores Pape has bought) its down to Honda, Deere & Stihl. While all are good brands for certain applications, they are no longer the best for a lawn care business that needs maximum efficiency & durability. Stihl trimmers havent been the best for a few years now. Honda is still on a commercial mower that hasnt been updated in 15 years and lately has suffered many durability issues in addition to being heavy, slow & underpowered compared to the competitive commercial 21 inch mowers. At the beginning of last season I bought 1 Exmark & 1 Toro commercial walk behind. These mowers have more power,bag better & have a faster ground speed than the Honda in addition to being lighter & easier on the turf. In fact so much more efficient they sped up my jobs enough to be able to add another job into almost every day. Not to mention no nagging rear wheel ratchet or height adjuster issues like Honda. 2020 was the first year I didnt make a single purchase from this store. Past years was probably 2k a year with some years much higher. I even bought a 20k tractor from Papes competition in 2020. I know this is probably pocket change to a multi billion dollar company like Pape . But its a real shame that Pape is creating a monopoly in the area & making it more difficult to acquire to absolute best brands of equipment for the lawn care industry

Terrible and extremely rude service. Two days in a row. Even though I purchased my new JD tractor at this dealership, I will rather drive an extra 30 miles to not be treated like this again. I will not buy anything from them until they learn some basic courtesy. Get ready to be put on hold for a long time as well. They treat you like your lucky they are even talking to you.

Pape machinery effectively assured me that I will never go back after a lifetime of patronage. During these troubling times (Covid 19) I called multiple times trying to make sure that they had the parts I needed to limit my exposure. Stuck on hold I decided to leave a message. Never received a call back. Decided to go in person the following day where they proceeded to give me the wrong length belt as well as wrong stator. When I returned for the third time they refused to let me return the stator because I had attempted to install it and realized that even the wiring harness didnt match up. I went there assuming they new there parts business, and clearly they dont. What a waste of time and money.

Had what i needed but charged 50% over dealer list for it. when things like simple spark plugs are marked up that much i just cant say it was a good experience. will i shop here again? probably? will i always try and find a better deal? without a doubt! good parts, good items, just not the best buy price wise.

I have been looking to replace my old Honda lawnmower for a few weeks now. I was impressed with the outstanding level of customer service at Pape. Very friendly, competent and knowledgeable, which is way more than I can say about their competitor in Sherwood. Its my second Honda from Pape, and it wont be my last.

Pape sold us broken new equipment we purchased through them since theyre the dealer of a sprayer by Enduraplas. The unit showed up already broken and leaking needing both service and parts. Pressure valves and regulators required physically drilling out to fix things that should have been done when the unit was at the OEM. In addition, the seal on the lid of the tank was installed improperly and would leak chemical all over my field and my spray rig when used. Additional parts showed up via shipping with cracked elbow fittings that required yet another trip out for fittings.Pape was inept in dealing with these issues which generally went through the confusing process of sales, then service, then parts, then weeks of downtime. I did not receive any follow up or help on the issues I outlined.Finally after getting frustrated I had to text message a tech at Enduraplas since they dont directly service these units with clients. I spent well over $100 in parts and wasted countless hours of downtime.I was surprised to get another invoice from Pape for the full amount on some parts for this unit with absolutely no accounting for what I had to spend in terms of my parts cost, time, etc of it being down all summer.I will never do business with Pape again. Small business owners beware, the equipment may look ok but theres definitely some big issues with sales and service. Thankfully I didnt buy a tractor or heavy equipment from them, I can only imagine how hard it would be to get service and support after the original sale of something like a tractor.

The cashier was rather cold and unhelpful, the sales guy was too busy to help us, but the service guy, Isaac, was wonderful. He got us set up with exactly what we needed, showed me how to use the chainsaws and even threw in extra chains for free. Ill gladly come back, but Im going straight to the service department, where they are friendlier.

The place is really well run and organized and the staff is fantastic to help you with any of your needs. I got myself an S 240 riding lawn mower that day

Super people, good prices

Unimpressive parts department, the two times I was there they were not real helpful. The first time they sold me half of the parts I needed. The second time I returned to get the rest of the parts I needed. After asking, and only after I almost ordered the parts. I wouldve had to make a 3rd trip out there, did I find out the service department could build the pulley/bearing system I originally needed. Why didnt you tell me that the first time I came in, and handed you a badly damaged pulley. From a Brand New $16k mower I purchased from you a year ago. Instead you chuckled at my broken part.

They had every part I needed for my Honda mower. I was impressed, and they were priced very reasonable.

They didnt have what I wanted but quickly ordered it from Stihl and I had it within a few days. I received a call it was ready in will call and the transaction went smoothly, prompt and efficient. I was charged a few dollars freight but it was worth it for the customer service. They were selling the item at Stihl suggested list so nice there wasnt markup. Great assortment of Stihl items you might not find elsewhere. I was a regular customer of Stark Street but after my experience at Pape this will be my new go to spot. If freight had been free theyd of had a five star rating from me. Keep up the great work!

I called them and right off the back the lady who answered was super rude and had attitude. I was put on hold for while and waited and waited and kept waiting. So I hung up and called back. Once again the lady answered and was super rude, I told her that I didnt appreciate her attitude and it was very unprofessional, she than got very defensive and said she had no attitude. I wished her a nice day and took my business else where!
