So how easy and reasonable are Roy and his crew to deal with on auto repair/mtc work?Let me put it this way, if anyone has a gripe about ALTRA, then its THEY that has a problem NOT ALTRA .Ive had enough auto work done over 50 yrs to say that my car and my money will always go to ALTRA. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

Hand shakes don’t go to far here, but there cheap. Bring your own oil in and have them do it for 15 bucks. Best deal in town!

Trustworthy mechanics... What else needs to be said

So I had my muffler tube break and instead of telling me that they need an entire new one to install, they repaired the part that broke. He estimated that the repair to be 90 dollars, but got done in about half an hour and said that it would be 80 dollars instead. Here is a picture of what he fixed. He did a good job.

Had a good experience here, Roy provided friendly service and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. My repairs were 2 ball joints and 4 new tires, cost was less than expected, so Im happy to report I will visit again for further car maintenance!

My mounting bracket broke on my custom exhaust. I also had some rust issues... They replaced the rusted part and remounted my pipe and she sounds better than ever!!! They did a great job for 80 bucks. I would highly recommend them for exhaust repairs! Great staff and honest work!

If you are looking for a local shop, that treats you like an actual person, look no further. I’ll definitely go back here for any problems I may come across, and would recommend people to do the same.

Friendly hometown service! I had my muffler repaired here. They were prompt, reasonablely priced, friendly and upfront. I appreciate that they looked at a rattle I had on on my vehicle recently. It was a loose clamp that they removed in just a few min. They did not charge for it! So I would recommend there service to anyone in need of muffler repair or other basic vehicle service!

These guys are great. Took my suv to a shop down the boulevard and got a quote I thought was high. The owner at that particular shop told me he had to pay of loans and lease? Went to Altra and almost half the price, great service and turn around time. Ive been to Altra before and always reasonable cost and the best service ever. Ill continue to recommend Altra.

As always, our service at Altra was fabulous.I brought my vehicle and my boat trailer into Roy to get some maintenance items fixed before pulling our boat to Florida for the winter. Everything was done on time and and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them for all of your automotive needs.

Roy was very nice as usual and knew what he was doing. He quoted me between $70 and $90. Walked out paying $100. I would think I would go to him again this is since this is my second time.

Tried dropping off the car for repairs after scheduling service before hand. Twice they didnt service the car because they forgot to take a name and number and couldnt contact me to confirm what needed done. They are either disorganized or just generally incompetent.

Got a muffler delete on my Chevy Tahoe and the results were way better than expected and for a cheaper price than quoted they go above and beyond make sure everything is the way you want it definitely gonna be coming back in the future for exhaust work

I had a neighbor recommend Altra when I first moved to the area in 2010. Roy is a great guy and he runs a great shop. The prices are fair, and the customer service is exceptional. I trust him with all my car-related needs. Even after we moved 25 miles away in spring of 2014, we will continue to go back because good mechanics are hard to find. My wife and I will continue to be loyal customers. I would recommend Altra Muffler and Brake to anybody looking for a good, honest mechanic.

Tried this place out because of the Google reviews, and Im glad I did. Although at first their price was a little high for the cost of the parts, the labor cost was very reasonable, and they were extremely helpful with helping me figure out how to find the parts cheaper. They went above and beyond to help me make the best decision for me, not just what would make them the most money, unlike most shops out there. I will definately come back if I ever need similar work done in the future.

I just had an amazing experience with this shop! I supplied my own Catalytic Converter, they supplied the labor and a few small parts to make sure it fit perfectly. Very fairly priced, stayed in communication throughout the process, I was back on the road with a quiet car within about an hour. Will be back for my next repair!

I found Roy and his team to be very honest and friendly. Another shop wanted me to buy a new muffler mid pipe. Roy took me into his shop to look underneath my car, he said he could weld my existing muffler pipe. This saved me a lot of money! There is a 1 year warrenty on this work. I have told my family and friends of my positive experience at Altra Muffler and Brake. I highly recommend this shop.

I am new to the area and decided to call Altra because I was having brake issues. Roy was very kind and honest. They were able to get my car fixed in less then an hour. I would highly recommend them and will be returning for future oil changes and car repairs!

Roy is awesome! Great staff and they did great work putting a Flowmaster dual exhaust on my 08 Sierra back in April.

Took my 13 Charger to Altra to have some work done. Roy gave me a quote and a day or so later my car was in his hands. After more time was spent working on my car than hed quoted me, he let me out of the door with the original quote pricing, which saved me more than a few dollars and said a heck of a lot about his business. He also let me snoop around on the underside of my car while he was tooling away, not many shops have been that friendly with me while theyre working on my car.The attention to detail, friendly service and quality work Roy provided was amazing. I will be bringing my car into the shop again shortly for high-flow cats and any future cars for anything exhaust related down the road as theyve earned a lifelong customer by treating me so well.Thanks Roy, my car is running great!~M

Really enjoyed my experience with this shop. Had a cracked exhaust pipe, got in fast and got an accurate estimate, professional and laid back at the same time, good pricing on the exhaust work I had done on my grandfathers custom lift van, it was done well and very quick.
