This review is purely about Ashley in general, not the Cookeville, TN store. I ordered a 12 inch Chime foam mattress in a box. Got it in 2 days from Amazon, followed the instructions, laid on it 1 night and decided that it was way too hard, so I went back and re-read the description- Medium Firm, well my fault so I ordered another one but in Ultra-Plush!! Waited 8 weeks to get it and wouldnt you know that it feels the exact same as the other one!! Apparently, Ashley has NO IDEA what an Ultra Plush mattress feels like cause THIS aint it!!

Chair leg split after a year and 2 months of owning our new dining room. Their team was very attentive to the problem and worked quickly to get a resolution. We will be back.

We went to the nearest Ashley’s in Cookeville TN. Specifically to purchase a new mattress during the Labor Day sale..: Brenda Farley helped us find the right one based on our sleeping style. We tried several as she explained the differences. We found just the right one and even bought an adjustable frame … can hardly wait for it to be delivered

Our Ashley in Cookeville was great. They have a huge selection and we were torn between a few options for a new couch. The couch we picked will be delivered soon and we are excited to have it. The staff in the store were extremely friendly and attentive and when it came to checking out our associate was very fast. We will most likely be going back in the near future for another piece.

I went to our local Ashley HomeStore looking for a Tyler Creek bookshelf. I had looked online. The online price was less than the one in the store! The girl made sure that I was given a discount that made the price lower than the online price! I was just in awe! To top off the already great deal, they let me have the floor model! So, not only did I get a great deal but I didnt have to put it together! Double lucky for me today! I absolutely love the Tyler Creek collection. I had two associates that helped me find the right bench for my bedroom outfit set that I purchased from Ashley. (The Willowton) They were very helpful and informative. I have found an end table that I would like to add to my living room outfit. Instead of ordering it online, I will go to the store in person so the girls can get the commission. I cant recommend Ashley stores enough.

We bought a dining room table in January and when delivered we noticed the top was chipped, corner broken, warped hinges, and knobs missing from side drawer. We immediately called the 800 number and were told a technician would come repair it. We told them that repairing a brand new $1,200 table was not acceptable so they agreed to send a new table top for us to install ourselves. After a few months of waiting we were notified the delivery guys noticed the replacement was damaged and we were told we they would ship another one. A few more months have gone by after they keep postponing and we still haven’t received it. Delivery is supposedly August 21st. Ashley has refused to refund the table through this whole process. We are building a new house and Ashley furniture will not be in it unless they make this right. We furnished our entire house in 2018 with Ashley furniture. They obviously don’t appreciate their return customers.

Camilla is wonderful to work with. We had to furnish an entire house and she put the time and effort into helping us. Unfortunately several pieces have come damaged. Camilla has been working hard with us to correct these issues.

Worst experience ever. Ordered what is their most high end bedroom set online and had a delivery date of a few days. Have been told 5 different delivery dates since then and still no delivery. Our questions regarding furniture construction and quality were met with thorough and supportive answers from the sales person who greeted us. The process of seeking and buying any product can become tedious for a number of reasons, but not so with our experience at Ashley,…quite the opposite. Our shopping ‘mission’ was accomplished, and we left with great satisfaction for both the purchase and our experience with our Ashley representative.

Im certain all the good reviews you see on google are from customers who have just shopped in store and not yet been through the process of receiving their furniture. We had a great experience in store, very friendly salesmen, helped us with whatever we asked, and we got the perfect couch. We shopped in April, we were told we likely wouldnt receive our sectional until June. Our saleswoman told me I could text her any time of day, even if she wasnt working she would respond and help me. We come to the end of June and hadnt heard anything regarding the delivery of our sectional. I text our sales person asking when it would be delivered, she said Im not working, text me tomorrow. I text her the next day, she responded with July 15. She did not indicate this was an estimate. July 14 rolls around, I have not heard anything, I text her to ask what the status is. She says Call the store. So, I call the store to find out our delivery date is now estimated for the middle of August. I ask the man I spoke with why it keeps getting pushed out, he explains they have no control over this, dont know the dates until theyre told by the manufacturer, etc. I understand that. But then I ask why no one has been in touch with me to let me know the multiple times the dates have changed. He said my sales person should have been contacting me every two weeks to give me updates, I let him know she had not done this and was not very responsive when I did reach out. August comes around, we receive a call that our couch will be ready for delivery in a few days. I schedule the delivery, it was delivered on time, however the chase of our sectional was missing the feet. The third party delivery service said they would try to find out where they were, in the meantime we call the Cookeville store to see if they can resolve this quickly. The first woman we talk to sounded very exasperated and annoyed by us calling, said wed have to talk to the manager, he wasnt in yet, was running late, etc. Two or three hours go by, I call back and the manager answers. He also has a very exasperated tone with us, but says hes trying to get in touch with the warehouse to see if they can get the feet for our sectional and let me know hed call me back the next day. The next day, it was afternoon and I still had not heard anything, so I call back. Again, a not very friendly tone, says if the warehouse doesnt have the feet it could be MONTHS before we receive them. He says hell call me back, but turns out he doesnt even have my correct phone number. The next day he calls me back, says the warehouse does not have them, so he has ordered them for us, he has no idea when they will arrive, but if we havent gotten them in 2 weeks call back. Thankfully, we received them in the mail within a few days. Were very happy with our sectional and the quality and style. I understand those that work at a particular store have no control over product availability, but the communication and customer service we received from this store was so poor. We paid in full upfront, its very unsettling to feel like youve wasted your money. I also dont expect a salesperson to be available via text 24/7, but that was the expectation she presented, basically requesting I text her instead of call, only for her to be pretty much unresponsive. To Ashely Homestore cooperate - do better about product availability and dates. It puts those that work at local stores in a terrible position for not having an answer for their customers and they receive the backlash.

The people that work in this store are very welcoming and friendly people. The product I was interested in can be delivered in just a few days. Brenda the sales person was fantastic, she knew the product well and I couldnt be more pleased.

We had a very welcoming experience at Ashley’s Home Center in Cookeville. We came in late after a birthday supper and found the perfect, all leather recliner. Our salesperson, Katie, was the best. We were approved immediately and took advantage of the 12 mo same as cash with 15% savings and a five year warranty if not used transfers to a store credit on next purchase. What a selection and we will be back.

Absolutely one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Do not recommend using them. They will give you false information while waiting on furniture to come and find out that your piece has been discontinued. I didn’t even receive my full return and was basically told there was nothing they could do about it.

Not knowing what to expect about Ashley’s we heard a discount store might match their prices so we decided to go to Ashley’s in Cookeville, TN. We were browsing when a nice lady approached us asking if we had any questions to let her know, that her name was Brenda. As we shopped, we realized their furniture was amazing and prices were reasonable enough so we continued around the store. We found a kitchen island that we really liked, then a dining table that matched. As soon as I looked up I saw Brenda smile and head our way knowing we must have a question. I have to say, Brenda was not pushy, extremely knowledgeable on all their items and immediately figured out our style and taste. She asked us to follow her and showed us exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have been more excited. It was so nice having someone as professional as Brenda help us because we found everything we wanted but more elegant for less then we expected to spend all because of that amazing, wonderful sales professional named Brenda. Everything is ordered and we understand because of COVID items may take longer then usual but that is out of Brendas hands. If you want awesome furniture, shop Ashley’s and be sure to ask for Brenda to get the best deals.

Buyers beware!If you cancel your order because of long delivery dates or any other reason you may never see your refund for weeks and weeks. I was told they were bought by a Canadian company, which why is this relavent, they have had my money since 4/2/21...they are the first company I have ever done business with that dont issue refunds at store level no matter how you pay, they make you wait weeks and weeks, it wont do you any good to call corporate office they wont help you either they claim it took two weeks to process and 30 days more to receive. I will never shop with Ashley again, and will be calling the bbb!

Ashley Home Store sells cheaply made furniture for an increased price. I do not recommend wasting your money here. This $1500 couch was made from particle board and staples. Nothing that anchors and no reinforcement whatsoever.Update: I have to say that the customer service department came through. They replaced the broken piece in a very timely manner. It was very unorganized and everyone I spoke with seemed to have no idea what was going on but they did replace it. Now it looks off because that one piece is new and the rest is older. We will also still have to reinforce this furniture so that it will not break in the future because it is still manufactured poorly.

My husband and I went in looking for 2 new couches and left with a new bedroom suite, mattress, mattress protector, and 2 new pillows. Our sales person, Jonathan, was very patient with us and helped fulfill our wants. We will for sure be back in the future.

I know there are quite a few negative stories out there about Ashley, but I would like to share my great experience… I visited my local Ashley store a week after relocating to TN. I was able to walk around this store without any one jumping on top of me. About a half hour into my browsing I was approached by MaryHelen. A fun and energy filled woman with the same wit as I possess. I told her my relocation story and we were off searching for my first choices. With the backup in production due to COVID, I immediately began running into roadblocks of obtaining a sofa set for my very empty house. But MaryHelen was persistent in a positive way and presented me with other ideas and options. She spent so much time with me! It was a great experience but my troubles continued that when I went to purchase my items my Ashley card wasn’t accepted because I received it through a Ashley store in NH. Ugh. AND I couldn’t open new credit because I am closing on a new house in two weeks. I left the store feeling very exhausted from not being to purchase. But here I am two weeks out from my initial visit with MaryHelen and successfully making my purchase today. When I texted her she promptly returned my message by calling me! She is a wonderful person and sales associate! Thank you MaryHelen from Cookeville, TN! I’m excited to get my new sofa set in mid-July!

Ive been more than considerate while waiting on my furniture. I ordered furniture back in November 2020 and was told there would be a delay on some items and I would receive them the 2nd week of February. Here it is May of 2021 and my furniture was suppose to be delivered today, May 1st . Not only did they not deliver my furniture today, I never received a call, email, text or anything saying it wasnt going to deliver . I expected better service from Ashley Furniture of Cookeville but that didnt happen . Time is most valuable to me and I waited around all evening for this deliver, very unthoughtful and very disrespectful .. Ill never deal with Ashley Furniture of Cookeville again, horrible experience and the only reason I gave them a star is, theres nothing any lower . Not only will I never deal with Ashley Furniture, Ill never deal with any of the people I dealt with at Ashley Furniture, regardless where they work . I would be ashamed to do business like they do and I honestly dont see how there sales team can look the customers in the eyes . Pathetic

Jennifer is the most amazing sales person ever! My first visit was with a friend, who was looking for an office chair. I went back with my husband the next day just to look around and get ideas for a new living room set. Jennifer came over after we had a chance to look around. She was so professional, helpful and NOT PUSHY that we found a couple of things we really liked. A week later, she let us know that our favorites were on sale for 25% off!! We werent ready to commit yet. Just a couple of days ago, she reached out again & this time the time was right!We are so grateful to her and for her! I believe that no matter how much she is getting paid, she deserves a raise! When a company finds an associate this valuable, they should do what ever it takes to not only retain them, but make them to know that they are valued. We will definitely be back!

This used to be a great pace to buy furniture I’ve bought quite a bit here, and recently tried to purchase something they told me to wait on 2 pieces and it would take 12 weeks I paid for the furniture then waited patiently, after 12 weeks nothing I went down there, they told each I needed everything and it would be 12 more weeks. Which really didn’t sit right with me told them o want a refund they made me wait 20 days for my money back. Which really didn’t sit right either. I will never shop here again and would not recommend anyone else to either. The staff don’t seem to know what’s going on either and will not return your calls. Go to Badcock or Morgan furniture instead.

Absolutely terrible experience! Our furniture was pushed back constantly for three months! The customer service at the store was atrocious. No one would keep in contact or keep us updated on the status of our order. We had to call and check every few weeks and when we did call the staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Will never buy here again and will warn everyone I know to stay away. Next time I buy furniture I will spend my hard earned money somewhere else. If I could rate this horrible place any lower I would without hesitation.Update: We just now got our furniture delivered and they forgot half of our bed at the warehouse and now I have to go pick it up because this company is to incompetent to do their job!!!
