When my oven/stove went out, I was instantly worried because Ive been reading and hearing for months now how its taking months to get appliances in. We started calling around, and several places were just downright rude. When we got in touch with someone at D.T. McCalls, they let us know what they had, and we asked if they could hold it til the end of the day so we could go look at what they had. They agreed, and we werent able to get there until right before closing time. They were incredibly nice even though they were having to stay late. Tim took great care of us and was very professional the entire time. We were able to get a stove that night, and had it delivered the next week. The delivery man also was nice and professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. We will definitely be back.

Granted I stopped 10 minutes before closing time, but the salesman had zero interest in my business. He told me they had nothing that would match our recliners in our camper. Theyre a dark brown. Nothing to match a solid dark brown. I wandered on through the showroom with him doing more of the same. As I went out the door at 5:05, he was right behind me. There will be no return shopping trip close to closing, right at opening, or even in the middle of the day. Were even prepared to do a special order, but it will not be with DT McCall and Sons.

Great prices and outstanding customer service! They ordered product and said 3 weeks. Hoping it will be here as they said. Put a down-payment and will be ready for delivery. I can see me purchasing other items here but much will depend on this transaction and how well it goes. They do deliver. If you live with 100 miles, theyll deliver.

Compared to the other places locally, this is the only place to go. Seriously. We went all over the area looking for a washing machine. We went back to DT McCalls to purchase. The guy who helped us is very kind and knowledgeable about what he sells. My only complaint is that we are having to wait a week for delivery because they are short-staffed for delivery people. That isnt necessarily their fault though. All in all, I highly recommend this place.

D.T. McCall is the best store, with the best prices in Tennessee. They actually care about their communities. And they work on everything they sell.

I moved into a senior complex for 62 + on July 1st. there was no rack in the oven and they were suppose to order one. I finally got one a month later to find out that the stove doesnt heat correctly. they sent out a repair man about a week ago and he told me they have taken a beating on these stoves and had to replace most. He turned on the oven and turned if over right away he said he was going to order a regulator( for an electric stove) also I told him the rack in the oven isnt correct as it does not pull in and out easily. When the apt manager called to find out what was going on. the repair guy said he was out twice and he was not only came out once and said he used a temp gauge which must have been invisible but i never seen it and I was standing right next to him. they are claiming nothing is wrong with the stove but it does not cook food. and will not rep l a c e i t. this is how the company treats elderly people . I would never recommend them for anything. the stove was also suppose to come with a broiler pan but i guess that s invisible too I only give one star because i could not post without rating them but honestly they are the worst and the repair man out and out lied

Picks and chooses to do warranty work on if the equipment was purchased through them or not. Refuses and turns back warranty repair unless they made a buck off you first.Reported to Cub Cadet regarding this absurd practice.If you buy a Ford, a Dodge, a Toyota. All dealers service your equipment regardless of where purchased... All heavy equipment like Caterpillar tractors are the same, even for independent dealers. Apparently Cub Cadet and its warranty providers are pick and choose based on profits, not warranty repair experience.Will not suggest D.T. McCall & Sons to anyone given their managements approach to these items.

Bought a warranty for our new furniture, within 8 months of our owning this living room set, one end of the couch is leaning ( metal is bent per warranty guy) plus it wasnt put together properly possibly the reason it is bent!!! Warranty man says being its less than a year the store should replace it !! Store says we must wait on warranty company !!! Why pay for extended warranty on such expensive furniture when neither the store nor warranty company have taken it upon themselves to resolve the situation? Pretty disgusted and cant even get a return call !! All in all the furniture should had never fallen apart like it has and its not a low price set !!

My refrigerator went completely out suddenly. I went to DT McCall the following day to check out what they had. I found one I was interested in and Cindy was very helpful with any questions I had, plus other information. Before making a final decision I wanted to be sure of one measurement, the width. Cindy said she would not be there tomorrow, but she would ask Hayley to help me out when I came back in, and Hayley was just as pleasant and knowledgeable. I called her the next morning to let her know the measurement would be fine so I was definitely going to make the purchase, and I gave her an approximate time of when I would be there. She had all the paperwork ready when I arrived. The only hitch in this, which of course no one could control, they had been so busy they were running about 2 weeks out on deliveries. Hayley told me they do have cancellations on deliveries occasionally and she would make a note to the delivery drivers to please move me into that slot since my old refrigerator was completely out. She had told me this when I had called that morning and then she let me know again when I came in that she was going to ask them to put me in for earlier delivery if there were any cancellations. I understood this, because other customers had already made purchases and were expecting their deliveries also. Well imagine how thrilled I was when I received a call the next morning from the delivery driver letting me know they would be delivering my refrigerator in about an hour or so!!I have decided I am going to purchase a smaller refrigerator or freezer soon because after this experience I want a backup, and I already know where I will be making that purchase! If you go definitely ask for Cindy or Hayley! They helped turn what started out as a bad week into a very good week along with their great delivery guys! Thank you ALL!!

Was there twice. Nobody came to assist either time. I knew what I wanted when I went the second time and finally someone came out to ask if I needed something. After my product was delivered, I noted it had something similar to fruit punch spilled on one side of it. This does not come out!

Bought a “new microwave” and drove to Carthage to pick it up. Minor confusion as to which location had it. That wasn’t a big deal as both locations are a mile apart. People seemed very nice and knowledgeable. But when I went to unpack microwave found not one but 2 copies of receipts saying it been sold, repaired, returned twice. That is fraud! I have reported them to BBB, sent the emails and come Monday morning will be driving over 2 hours to return the junk they sold fraudently.Beware and check everything before you leave !Problem has been resolved. As it turns out warehouse made a bad mistake. Or original sales person Cindy got involved and within 2 hours we had a new never opened in the box unit. It was installed without issue.We will concerned them again if we can have Cindy do the deal.

Watch out when buying appliances here. If there is an issue with it, they will slow walk you until the warranty is up. We are experiencing this with a whirlpool refrigerator. To top it all off, its almost impossible to get someone that knows anything and when you start asking questions they get hostile. Maybe this use to be a good company but with this service I dont know how.

Wow...what a treasure of a store. My husband and I have been in to look at appliances a few times and spoke with Tim. We truly value customer service and honesty both of which seem to be priorities at this store. I have bought appliances from them several times and have always been satisfied with my purchases, until this last time. I purchased a washer and dryer in January of 2018. The dryer started overheating and scorching my clothes within 6 months. It was under warranty so the service person came and said he didnt see anything wrong with it other than it was a few degrees warmer than it should be and he wasnt going to do anything. I explained if I dried my clothes in it they would come out so hot you could not touch them and be literally smoking and he reluctantly ordered a thermostat. It took a month or more for the part to come and be installed. Still I understood that they cant help it if a part supplier cant get it to them any sooner. Today the matching washing machine died. I have had it a year and 4 months. The warranty is expired by 4 months. My fault on the warranty should have gotten the extended I suppose, but I am 50 years old and this is the 3rd washing machine I have EVER bought. I assumed it would last longer than a year and four months. Oh well as I said my fault on the extended warranty. I called their service department and after she told me it was no longer under warranty I said I would still need a service call. She said and I quote, You only paid $349.00 for the washer, and a service call to Silver Point will cost you $149.00 just for them to drive out then of course any parts and labor with be added to that. What I took that to mean is you bought a cheap washer and you may as well throw it away and buy another on from us...as it surely would cost more for a service call all the way to the Silver Point. Silver Point is about midway between their Carthage store and their Cookeville store, I estimate 13-15 miles to either. I am exactly 2 miles from the interstate exit. I am shocked it would cost $149.00 to drive 15-17 miles to determine the problem. I am just really frustrated that I bought a brand new washer and dryer and 1 year and 4 months later am having to buy another set because the one I purchased from them died in less than a year and a half. Maybe it is just me but you I expect major appliances to last longer than 16 months. (The last one ran for about 12 yrs)

Chris was our salesman he did a great job of explaining everything to us no pressure what so ever. The pricing was fair and quality is great. The delivery guys took extra precaution not to tear up my floors that part was worth more than the furniture. We have been buying from the Lebanon store for over 20 years and now the store in Cookeville never a complaint always great people to deal with...Call Chris today he will take good care of you.

Great selection and fantastic service. We dealt with Chris McCall directly. He took a lot of time with us answering all our questions and explaining the features of each couch we looked at. We looked at other shops but no one had the Personal Touch nor the low price that they had. Ended up having my father bring a trailer 225 miles from Ohio to Tennessee in order for us to trailer it home. I would highly recommend anyone within 100 mile radius to check out their prices before buying. We saved about $500 buying with them.

Really friendly and informative service. They are not overbearing so stop in if you just want to browse. The building is massive which you cant necessarily tell from the outside so go checkout the selection.

I have bought furniture here in the past, I dont mind spending a little more on furniture because you only have to buy so much of it and it should be enjoyed...and the pieces I have are awesome to me. I went back again and now purchased a washer and dryer. They provide all the hookup connections and its free delivery. The two delivery gentlemen were very polite and had it hooked up in a jiffy.

Terrible customer service. It took 5 months to correct the issue with my couch. It was never actually corrected either. Apparently tehre was another issue that was corrected. Fairly certain I was sold the floor model. Will never do business with DT McCall again...

They have a huge selection of furniture and a great showroom, also beds, appliances and lawn mowers. You can find good deals here. The sales staff is a bit pushy for my taste, or I would have given 4 stars.

The problem was that they advertised a 12 months same as cash program with a bank and explained that automatic electronic deductions could be made online so that no interest would be incurred. Upon calling the said Bank this was not the case you could not pay more than the minimum payment that created interest, better yet, if you did actually want to make a payment over the phone you had to pay $6 each time you did. The only real way to make a payment was to drive in and drop it off. We were told specifically this could be handled electronically because we were hesistant and we asked explicitly about these transactions, and it feels as though we were lied to. I contacted DT McCall and Sons to speak with someone about it and I was brushed off, they never even contacted the bank, and pretty much said that it was my problem and out of their hands even though they were the ones advertising it and they were the ones that gave me the misinformation, sounds pretty crooked. I paid off my note that day, I had the money in my account, its just a shame I wanted to like the store.

Seems a bit overpriced. Their sales are not really sales. I love buying furniture, and I love finding good deals. This is not the place to find good deals.

Would be 5 stars, but their service department is the worst Ive ever encountered. D.T. McCall has never been the cheapest, but I could always justify spending more, because of after the sale service that they would provide, but as it is now, that aspect has been abandoned. As a long time customer, i recently purchased a new refrigerator/freezer combo, and had to repair the ice maker myself because service department is very lazy. Sales department and delivery department are helpful and very customer oriented. I wish i could rate them seperately. Its a shame that such a good company let their service department deteriorate to the shape it is in as of now. It only takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole bunch, and every person i spoke with in the service department had been spoiled. Lazy, apathetic, spoiled apples, are all that is left.

I purchased a washer, dryer, & refrigerator from them in November. My dryer was delivered with a dent in the top. I was promised several times that a new top had been ordered and they would be coming out to fix it. We are now in May and it still is not fixed. We did not pay for a brand new washer and dryer for it to be damaged upon delivery and not fixed. My family has shopped here for years and we would continue to do so if they keep their word and fix the problem.

If I could I would give them no star at all. We bought from this store for years. My husband and I purchased a range from them and they delivered it with the door broken but they wouldnt just bring another one ....they left it and sent a man out to fix the door and I couldnt use it until it was repaired . So the oven was of no use for about a week. Then the eyes on the stove wasnt working properly as soon as I started using it. I called and they sent someone out and he told me it was all in my head they was working fine and if it wasnt it was because it was induction and my pans wasnt the right pans.....it wasnt induction. We called again and again and was put off until the warranty ran out with them. I had purchased an extended warranty thru Frigidaire so we contacted them . They sent someone out and they found a short in the eyes that I had asked D.T.McCall to fix so it wasnt in my head. I believe the range was a floor model or was returned or just a bad range because my husband and I had to throw the stove out and go purchase another one without even getting to use our full extended warranty. We will never do business with D.T.McCall or Frigidaire again . Both companies should be ashamed for cheating people that trusted them. It taught us to not pay up front be a use if we hadnt paid in advance when they brought it out damaged they would have had to take it back.

Well worth the stop for high quality appliances, furniture gun safes, weed eaters lawn mowers and more. So surprised when we went in.

We shopped all over before purchasing furniture from DT McCalls. We bought a couch, loveseat & recliner by Lay Z Boy, cost was $6000.00., we also purchased the extended warranty for 4 additional years. We contacted McCalls two weeks after purchasing furniture that there was a problem. They sent their delivery people out, who determined there was a problem, but relayed to owners there wasnt a problem. They told me there was nothing else they could do for us. Now the arm of loveseat is about to fall off! I was requested to send photos yesterday, almost a year later! I have contacted Lay Z Boy because McCalls told me Lay z boy would not help in this matter. We have received the worst customer service ever! Even Walmart would have corrected this situation. If you have a choice of where to buy furniture I would keep looking before buying here as they do not stand behind their customers. Service is non existent. They find every excuse to downplay your claim. I am very frustrated with this company and I bet their founding fathers would roll over in their graves with the people that are now running their stores.
