I enjoyed the very Professional service that I was provided by them, specifically. A guy named Rhett. He was very helpful and understanding of my situation, and did what he could to help. He and his co-workers have been nothing but a big help to me, I recommend them to anyone who needs any service provided. They make sure their customers are taken careof, by going above and beyond, and I wanted to thank them. For this.

Overall, who ever i spoke with was not professional. A friend recommended them, so i wanted to call and see. Called 3 times this morning. Got put on hold forever twice. Third time I got someone. Kinda got the feeling I was bothering him just by calling and it just got worse as the call went on. I just needed an estimate. And yes, I get they want to look at it first I promise. Cause he told me multiple times. But I also dont want to try to limp my truck 3 counties over for me to be able to get it done at a better price somewhere else and then have to limp it further. He finally gave me a ball park off previous repair tickets but something is just not sitting right with the way just a simple phone call went. When I was trying to explain what was going on, I feel like anything I said was either being talked over or ignored. Was it because Im a woman? I cant say. All I know is I found another place to go that I feel much more comfortable doing business with.

Although they are very busy, they help me realize that I just had bought a very very sick car. The transmission along with other major issues were found. The company had to approve me for another vehicle. Smh

I had the best Professional/ honest experience Ive ever had with a business with dealing with cars. Rhett Wheeler is a very good Advisor. After hearing the news from Nalley Stonecrest Toyota that in need a new transmission valued at $3000 to $5000 which is a heavy load to hear when your child need a car for college/work purposes. Upon inspection, the car only needed a tire...thats right a simple $80 tire. Rhett was honest and recommended a tire place ( Tire Station Snellville). Good to do business with people that value integrity and professionalism in service, something our country can use more of. Despite an initial miscommunication regarding the symptoms of our transmission, the issue was accurately diagnosed (I work on autos myself) and they did not use it as an opportunity to “oversell” the work needed. That is refreshing and the type of practice that inspires customer loyalty. In our current climate that seems to reward a chasing the dollar/ “dog eat dog” (scarcity) attitude, I am comfortable in referring others to do business here with the confidence they will receive proper and professional service.

The only reason reason Im giving Aamco a 1 star is because thats the lowest I can give them. So, this was a horrible experience!!!!! I am a 47 yr old female that took my sons 2013 Acura TL to AAMCO In Conyers, GA to get the transmission looked at because all of the lights in the car came on. The care sat for 2 days. The manager finally called my 18 yr old son to talk with him about the car like he could pay for it, that was the first mistake. The next problem came when I called back and was told by the manager they only drove the car a few miles and needed to run more test. The following day I called the manager Rett who told me they performed a diagnostic check, drove the car but needed to run more test and would call me back. Once he called me back at the end of the business day, he said the passenger side axle was broken the back axle was broken and the transmission needed to be rebuilt. The quote provided to me for the cost of the car came to $5000 and it would take 7-8 days for the repairs. Although I hesitated, I Initially decided to allow them to move forward to fix the car because I didnt know better. But, I decided get another opinion so my son and I went to pick the car up when the shop opened up at 8am. When we arrived, there was an Asian gentlemen that told me that they had already taken the transmission out of the car. I insisted that he give me the key for my son to check the car to make sure the transmission had not been remove, which my son confirmed. I did take the car to the Acura dealership 40 minutes away from Conyers. They completed a diagnostic test and confirmed the transmission did not need to be rebuilt and the axles were not broken. The cost to have the car repaired was $3265,00 and it took 1 day to fix.Aamco is a total RIP OFF!!!!!

Also very impressed with Retts knowledge and ability to explain the issues associated with the work I had done. Service was quick, but didnt tell me anything that I didnt already know, the code they went by to tell me I needed to rebuild my transmission ( $3,500 - $5,000) does not apply to the transmission in my truck, does not exist, needless to say I told them thanks but no thanks

I just called at 5:26 on 9/17 And spoke to a guy name Rhett or either Brett w/an extremely southern accent Instead of saying I answered the call after hours and my computer systems are down I’ll need you to call back tomorrow in order to give you more details, I was inStead told I was asking him to coach a professional ball team from the bleachers. He also used other analogies and terms Instead of just being straightforward he was extremely unprofessional and rude on top of that. I had a $10,000 job for him that his company just missed out on. In the future I suggest if you’re going to answer the phone after hours be willing to be professional Or at least Have a very common professionalism to say I’m sorry ma’am you called after hours and I’d be happy to help you during normal business hours.

Imagine... 160+ miles out of town. 2wks away from Christmas. Transmission is shot. Who do you call?? These guys! Had car towed to them on a Monday by Tuesday they had a diagnosis and I approved the estimate. Car was ready by Friday noon. Let me pick up on Saturday so I wouldn’t miss work (new job darn that COVID). Stayed true to estimate picked up car and on my merry way. Not only was this company ethical they were fast and professional with a nationwide warranty!Thank you!!!!

Brought my car in for an estimate, they kept my car overnight. Had to call to find out what was going on with it and then they decide to tell me they’re not going to work on my car. Gave an excuse that that didn’t want to be held responsible if they broke something. I paid to have the car towed there because I was told by them, they could do the work. Owner says it was a body work issue but I took the car to Atlanta chassis and they did all the work for me with no problems!

I called them do ask about a service on my transmission and the person who answered the phone laughed at me because I am a woman and didnt understand what was wrong with my transmission. The company was very unprofessional and lost a potential customer because they want to look down on women. If you are a woman looking for car help dont go to this company, you can talk to a decent human being and still keep most of your money.

I was recommended to visit this location from another mechanic that thought I had a transmission issue. That mechanic had a great experience with them. I took it in for a free estimate and they inspected my car. To my very pleasant surprise he told me that my issue was not with my transmission but my power steering. I don’t know anything about transmissions so they could have easily taken advantage of me but did not. Many thanks.

Nice and honest guy. We came there for transmission test because of our car didnt pass emissions test after the car just sat for 10 weeks at The driveway in winter season. The guy at aamco tested our car few hours, and he found out there was nothing wrong with the car transmission. And he didnt ask us to pay anything for he did.

These guys did a FANTASTIC job on my 05 Quest. I needed a new transmission, the motherboard for the transmission (I think thats what its called- it controls the transmission) and needed something else(rack & pinion? The pins literally fell out when they took it off) they just charged me for the part & not for the labor. Love that it has a lifetime warranty!!I know they used to have a bad rep a long long time ago. But not anymore. They have definitely redeemed themselves.

I drive more than 150 miles a day so when my transmission decided to die I was understandably distraught. To make matters worse it died over a holiday weekend when no one was open. The next business day I called and spoke to Shane who said to come in asap. I thought Id have to wait a few days so that was a pleasant surprise. They took my car in the afternoon and a few hours later they called with the problem and solution identified. Transmissions are never cheap, but Bobby quoted me a very fair price for a replacement and started working on it that day. The entire time they had my car they stayed in communication with updates and even repaired some things that were on my list before the transmission went out. Bobby and his entire team went well beyond what could be expected from a shop and made me feel like I was important to them. After more than a decade working with the public I was impressed by the level of customer service they provided, I even learned some lessons from them. I cant praise this team enough and I have sent everyone I know with issues to Bobbys location. I will never take my vehicles to anyone other than this shop. I cant thank you enough for everything you did to help me get back to my life, but Ill continue trying.

I took my 1979 Ford pickup to them for a transmission rebuild. I chose this location even though it was farther away from my house than other shops. I did so because my business partner had her 1993 F-150 transmission rebuilt by them over 200,000 miles ago and its still going strong.Ive owned this truck for 12 years and it shifts better than it ever has before. Free yearly transmission service for life which includes ATF fluid and labor is another added bonus.I will recommend this shop to anyone who needs transmission work.

Randall and his time helped me work with my warranty company getting a repair done on my 05 Neon SRT-4 when it needed a transmission. Even after they sent the wrong part they worked to get it resolved and make the impact on me as less as possible. Randall kept me in the loop at all times and had the car down on the day he told me he would. This is the 2nd car I have brought to them. They also did the clutch on my 03 Mini Cooper S and did a good job with that as well.

I really want to shout out this Aamco. They were so awesome especially the front desk personel. He was so awesome he made it a priority to get my vehicle done as soon as possible even when they told me it would be a week to finish. I know i was just rambling when speaking about my situation to him but he took it personel and we need more mechanic shops like this one. I purchased a new transmission here 2 years ago and based on my current complaints, I was told I now needed a new one. The guy here said there was nothing else I could do even though i didnt have a consistent problem. I went to the dealership and they simply changed my transmission fluid which was what I asked AAMCO about. I havent had an issue with my vehicle since.*****In response to Randall:Im unsure of the competitors youre referring to but I came there myself and was told I was out of warranty because my initial purchase was two years ago. Your response is aggressive and unappreciated. Theres no need to come back there when you all already told me there was nothing you could do and as Ive already mentioned, the dealership I went to handled the problem. I now have no transmission codes on my vehicle and Im simply sharing my honest experience. Management went the extra mile to research information on finding a replacement or remanufactured CVT transmission for my car.

My 2003 Infiniti G3s transmission bit the dirt and Aamco was not only the first place I thought of but they were also the recommendation of our regular mechanic.From the very beginning these folks were incredibly nice and laid out all of our options for our transmission service along with flexible repayment plans.My car was a problem child and I did have to bring it back but they were extremely thorough and diligent in finding the root of the issue. I never felt lied to, pressured, or scammed AT ALL. Could we have possibly found a used transmission cheaper? Maybe, but as far as Im concerned we got our value back in spades. We have a two year warranty and the car runs exactly like it did when we brought it in. They did not give up or make any excuses, they just made it right without any additional cost to us. They even put gas in our car because of the miles they drove testing the transmission!I honestly dont have anything bad to say about this particular Aamco in Conyers and I would hands down recommend them to anyone. I was not paid for this, not compensated in anyway, and no one asked me for a review, I just believe in spreading the good word about the honest, hardworking mechanics that still exist. I took my car to AAMCO in Conyers after a local garage did a number on my car. Long story short? I put my trust into people who had no problem lying about what my car needed and sold me a new alternator when it probably did not need it. I got a mile away from their garage and my car died. I had it towed back; they took all the wires apart under the hood pretending to look for the problem, then told me my car was dead!! They simply did not now what they were doing. I headed for AAMCO in Conyers since I had dealt with them previously. They are not only the most honest shop I have ever visited, but highly skilled, knowledgeable, and thorough. You cant go wrong taking your car there! Thanks to everyone for an excellent job...

Go somewhere else! I have had a 2 year long nightmare that began and ended with this shop. My transmission on my truck went out and on the advice of someone else, we had it towed to this shop. Mistake #1. Once we went there to sign the work order for the rebuild on my truck, the former manager, Rhett, offered to sell us a 2004 ford Freestar with a new transmission in it, for 3000.00. What a deal right? Wrong, Mistake #2. Bought a car, from a transmission repair shop, for 3000.00 of cold hard cash, supposed to come with a 24 month, 24,000 mile warranty on it, right? Wrong. Was told to come back in two days to pick up the new car, the title, and the bill of sale. Mistake#3. Never ever give up your cash without receiving your title in hand, and your property, they had no title, the bill of sale only says 500.00 instead of 3000.000. It took us 7 months to get the title to the van, we had to go to court in 2 counties in order to legally take possession of the title from the previous owner, who had pawned the title, and then abandoned the vehicle after having repairs done on it. Long story short, the transmission went out 3 weeks before the warranty, had it towed back to Aamco, because, thats where it came from right? Wrong. The new manager refused to honor the warranty, so, we got screwed out of 3000.00 and stuck with a rebuilt transmission, that needs to be rebuilt. Go somewhere else. Save yourself!!! I wish I would have too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We took our Lexus to them to get the transmission replaced. When we took our car there, there wasnt anything wrong with my car cosmetic wise. AT ALL!!! When we picked my car up and were headed home we noticed the windshield was cracked. Once we got home we noticed the wheel was all messed up,windsh windshield is cracked and the under carriage on our car is mashed,like they ran over a median or something. Thw manager said he knew the windshield wasnt busted and Thewould have it resloved by the end of the day well the owner denied it and it was taken to court. I would not trust these people at all.

These guys are AAMAZING!! They rebuilt the transmission on my Nissan Xterra. Before we gave them the okay, we called around for prices. They were significantly lower than anyone else! My service engine light was on when they took the car, for an unrelated issue. They fixed that problem for no additional cost!! Not to mention, when I took my car to a different shop for that issue, that shop couldnt figure out what the problem was and sent me away. They did have my car for a while, but when they found yet a 3rd issue, they told us they wouldnt give up on finding the problem and found it and fixed it. With all the extra issues, they only charged us the original quote!! Shawn was so helpful and incredibly gracious for our patience! He refused a tip saying he was just doing his job! We are recommending this shop to all our friends and family!!

If you want your transmission work done right, this is THE place to go, folks! Mr. Randall Byrd has been a lighthouse in a very dark, stormy repair situation I am having with a local car dealership.He and the team of technicians have put in hours of time at no charge, investigating and diagnosing a transmission replacement that turned catastrophic. A local auto dealership did such a shoddy job, my car is now a total loss.Randall, and his team really care for their customers, and the community they serve so well. I cannot say enough good things about AAMCO in Conyers. In my experience, AAMCO is one of the few competent, diligent and honest repair shops in the Rockdale/Newton county areas.

I will give this AAMOCO location a five star rating. My husband and I have a 2005 Jaguar with only 118,000 miles that had a transmission problem. The engine light came on, car was jerking and the rpms increased to a reading of 4 but when the light was off, the car drove normally.It was recommended to have the transmission replaced for an enormous fee. My brother-in-law recommended taking the car to an AAMOCO. I read the reviews of this location and my husband and I decided to let them do a diagnosis of the transmission. Their diagnosis was completed with finding that there was a transmission problem.Wayne called my husband and I with all the details of the problem but was upfront with the price range of the transmission repair. All details wouldnt be know until transmission was taken totally apart.After Wayne explained anything, we decided to get the transmission repaired. The transmission was repaired in the time frame which Wayne promised, warranty on all work and other perks---oh and $2,500.00 less than the other quote.Our Jaguar runs as smooth as cutting butter as Wayne and I say. I recommend this location to anyone that needs the transmission repaired or serviced. The staff here is just phenomenal and if I have a transmission problem on another vehicle, I will have it repaired here.Respectfully Submitted,Mrs. Davis

My regular auto center recommended I take my car to AAMCO for a possible transmission leak. They quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad seal and I had the car back that afternoon. I worked mostly with Shane & he set my expectations, met them, & is an exceptional employee. I will come back if I need transmission work done.

I took my van to have the transmission rebuilt. It two weeks to rebuild the transmission and it should have taken three days. After being told the van would be ready, I went up there and Bobby Abercrombie cussed me out and said that I called too much. He told me they broke the fuel rail and could not find one. Never once in all my calls to them did they mention that this had happened. He further made me pay and told me that I would not get an itemized receipt of the work they performed and that when I got my van from them he said to never come back there again. It took an additional five days for them to locate the part and then get it repaired. All of this should have taken three days instead of two weeks. I have never been treated so unprofessional and disrespectful and in my opinion, Bobbie Abercrombie needs to be replaced by someone more professional.

So today my vehicle was scheduled for a pickup between 7:30-8 a.m. At 8:15 I called AAMCO and spoke to Reth. After telling him that my car was due for a pickup, his initial response was they didnt show up yet? he then adds thats how these guys are. He made several attempts to shift the blame and goes on about how towing companies are a different breed of animals… as if thats makes him any less responsible.Reths comments showed prior knowledge that the towing company (of his choice) was unprofessional to begin with. Why continue to use them and ruin you relationship with customers? Enough with the excuses Reth, find a better solution. By now he was very dismissive when I could not meet his request to leave my keys unattended in the car. This man was so condescending that for a second, I truly believed I was at fault and should be more accommodating. Throughout our conversation he sighed so often I thought I was dealing with an intern.He then becomes frustrated with me after I remind him that my vehicle could not move and was sitting in our garage. This was the same person who advised me against filling the car with trans oil to get it up there? Leaving our garage door open all day for a NO SHOW 3rd party was simply out of the question.He never once offered to call the tow truck company on their whereabouts. Instead, he said he would send out another one; As if were just sitting around (on a work day) watching day time television. I told him that was not an option for us and that we would bring the vehicle in ourselves. Before I could utter another word he abruptly hung up on me. At this point I did not feel comfortable taking my car into such an establishment.After informing my partner, I called AAMCO back to speak with the manager. I was instantly connected to Reth, I asked him for the name of his manager and he informed me that he is the manager. I asked for the number to their headquarters and Reth asked to know why. I told him I would like to file a complaint.He blurts out About not having your car picked up? as if my concerns where frivolous to him. I said yes (even though I intended to make a complaint about his behavior). I asked him again for the number while he bantered and chuckled over me. His tone remained defensive and he became combative about my request. Before my headache could get any worse, I thanked him for the information and ended the call.I am extremely disappointed with the service that Reth provided me today. This manager lacks the initiative, common sense and resolution skills to assist customers, let alone manage a franchise. What a snarky piece of work! I had been told by several mechanic shops that my transmission was going bad and it would need to be replaced sooner or later. Well sooner came sooner than I expected. A friend recommended Aamco in Conyers, Ga. I was very hesitant because of the known reputation of dishonesty and horrible customer service associated with this organization in general. I read the reviews before I took the car and Aamco (Conyers) lived up to the great reviews. My transmission was repaired and the car runs well. Also the price quoted was very comparable to other shops who specialized in repairs of transmission and it was ready in 3 days, as promised by my new friend Shane. Shane was awesome, he explained in detail what to expect and stayed late (1 1/2 hour) until I got off work to pick my car up (who does that?) Needless to say, my experience was very pleasant and I highly recommend this team to get the job done.

In June I sent my car to AAMCO in Conyers to have my transmission looked at. They told me a couple days later that would need to have it replaced, and they could rebuild it for me for $3300. The repairs were supposed to take about 5-7 days. The repair took 3 weeks! After 3 weeks, the Mgr. finally called me and told me the car was fixed and running perfectly. I came to pick it up and paid them the more than $3000 dollars for the service and left the shop. I noticed that when I reverse, the car shifted really hard, which it was not doing before I took it in to AAMCO, and definitely not normal at all for a supposedly rebuilt transmission with all new parts. My car didnt make it through the weekend. The check engine light came on and It got worse and worse to the point that it wouldnt even shift into drive. When I took it back they had no idea what was wrong, they had no answers. The AAMCO guys were stumbling over their words and coming up with half baked plans to fix the car. After 3 more weeks, and nothing working, I requested a refund and they refused. They want to keep trying to fix the car that they know nothing about and now Im out over $3000 PLUS rental car fees for a month. After they put another tranny in, I picked the car up, and it was smoking the whole way home. I drove it back and left it at the shop, and they told my they over filled the car with fluid. Ive had my car back for 2 days and its still not shifting correctly, Its still leaking fluid, And it gets worse day by day! Im afraid that its going to shut down on me and leave me or my wife stranded. I dont want them to mess it up anymore, 7 weeks and $3000 dollars later, its worse off than when I took it in there, They refuse to acknowledge that they dont know whats wrong with my car at all. I dont have another $300 or 3 weeks for a rental car while they practice on my car. I am in the process of retaining an attorney to settle this in court.
