I needed my clutch slavemaster cylinder (if thats correct) fixed. The line was kinked and it was leaking in thru on my clutch pedal. I called them because prior to this I bought the car from the guy who works the desk and answers the phones. The car was the best purchase I have ever made. The guy was guy was great and honest and this is one of the best cars I have ever owned. So I called him told him what was going on with the car he told me what he thought the problem was and told me when I could bring the car in and gave me an estimate. I bring the car in the fix was taking longer then expected so they give me a car to use until mine was fixed, which was a life saver and they fixed my car and gave me an oil change. The bill was what he estimated it to be and I usually have to bring My cars back in the next day cuz something else would end up breaking but this time it didnt and the car has run great ever since. I will be using this garage from now on.

So I was in a real pinch trying to get my car inspected in time this year. I called a dozen places trying to find someone who can get it done asap, which Im sure many of us know is very hard to find! Well when I called Unfranchised and told them my situation, they went above and beyond to squeeze me in that very day, despite being extremely busy. Upon arriving I was in and out within 30 minutes. They did an extremely good job and were more than fair with their pricing. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for high quality and low prices! State Inspection is rubbish!I been here for state inspection thinking $19.99 is a good deal for state inspection but later it turned out to be a catch, they inspected my car and gave an estimation of $900 work to be done, I was flabbergasted. They failed the inspection and insisted me to get the work done. I been to other repair shop and inspected and it turned out to be just 250$ work needed on the car.This place only good for oil change and you have no where else to go, if you go for state inspection then you will be ripped off. Beware of this place. I know they will argue they worry about customer safety when they do state inspection but if other repair shop can pass, arent they worried about customer safety? Dont state regulations are same irrespective of where you get state inspection done? These questions keep ringing in my head.I will never go to this shop again even there is only this one is available in the whole world.

Fine for an oil change - but nothing more. When I had an oil leak they did thousands of dollars of work over a few weeks- and did not fix it. I brought the car back time and time again, and was told it was fine. Finally went to another shop - and they found the leaks. Buyer beware!

I have been using this repair shop since they opened. They are honest, fair, do greate work, and stand by their estimates. They always do their best to get me up and running as quickly as possible. To the gentlemen below who complained about them not taking credit cards and checks, they have always taken mine. Maybe they have an issue with you personally.

Excellent! Mind you I never right reviews.. I swapped my winter tires out early this year and my lug nut snapped the stud which tire warehouse wouldnt repair. I didnt want to drive on 4 lugs all work week so found Unfranchised conveniently opened on Sunday. They took me in without an appointment and the owner was personable and and very friendly. We all know how stressful auto repairs can be but I had a stress-free and pleasent experience with Unfranchised. Will be back

I told these guys that Im dead serious about keeping my work vehicles well maintained and that if I give them a chance at my service they may want to think about it first...As a local alarm company, clients expect fast and dependable service from me. I cannot afford my vehicle to be down.Well Tim was listening. And after a routine check-out because I thought I was hearing a new noise from my front struts, Tim claimed there was nothing wrong with my struts. I really didnt appreciate that they charged me $45.00 to drive/diagnose the vehicle (which he informed me of AHEAD OF TIME) but with his thorough inspection, he found even worst news!Tim described a problem, Ill spare you the details, that sounded like a sales pitch to me - probably because I didnt really want to hear the bad news. These mechanics really have us over the barrel at times. But he stuck to his guns. Somehow, Tim found a truly obscure symptom, qualified it to me that it isnt an issue right now, but down the road..... So he gave me an out.But I listened to him (secretly hoping he was wrong so I could skewer him later..) and parted with $875.00 YIKES unexpected dollars. Long story even longer....3,500 miles later my van is not only shedding NO OIL but it is absolutely CLEAN.I believe Tim applied the trouble-shooting principles his instructors taught in mechanics school and found an evasive problem that likely plagues many-a Dodge Grand Caravans, as I have had 2 others that sucked oil. Thanks to Costa and Tim for finding a crack in my serpentine belt during my inspection this morning. They removed it and showed me the cracks that could have caused the car to lose power when it completely broke. For the low cost of the repair, my 2002 Honda Odysee is better than ever. Since moving to Concord this past year, they have replaced a bad coil, which had disabled my car. That intital service, gave me the confidence in establishing a relationship with Unfranchised that I will continue to use in the future. Thanks again and happy to have a new mechanic to work on my cars.
