Excellent small town style shop where they go out of their way to say hello as you walk up. Last time I was there I had forgotten to make the right appointment and Ken was still able to make it work for me. Always able to accommodate my night before drop offs. They use the shop software that sends you text updates so you know when your car is actually ready for pick up and give a courtesy call.

After an initial recharge of my A/C system, the air started to blow less and less cold after a few weeks, so I brought it back. Luckily, they used freon with dye so the leak could be traced to a faulty condenser. They replaced the part and recharged the system at a fair and reasonable price. Very happy with the service and overall results, and very happy that I didnt destroy my expensive A/C with one of those store-bought A/C recharge bottles with stop-leak! Been bringing my car(s) here for years and it is always a delight! They are the best - super realistic about what is most vital to fix immediately, or next month, or next year. 😅 They offer really competitive pricing. Amazing customer service, I really dig the new(ish) text and email automated updates which help give me an idea of how long something will take. I love that I can call at 5pm when something breaks or makes a weird noise and usually take it over that night for a drop off with key in the lockbox or the next morning when they open. Would definitely recommend to everyone in the East Bay area of Martinez, Concord, Clayton, Pacheco, Bay Point, Pleasant Hill, etc! You wont be disappointed.

As always, I trust the Kens and Eddy to take care of my car (actually all three of my old cars). Saturn smog result, PASS. Not bad for an 18 year old Saturn with over 230K miles on it. The best part? It still gets 32 to 34 MPG. And thats because these guys know how to take care of cars and trucks. They really do!!!

Originally I was happy their customer service was on point but they severely over charged me. And then told me my breaks and other things needed to be done and quoted me 800-1000 took it to another shop closer to home who quoted me half the price for the same work. Had 2 different shops tell me they were severely over charging me for the work and just taking advantage. Sorry not getting my business again. And def will reccomend people stay away.

These guys are super honest and super friendly. I have taken in my car to get my oil changed twice. The most recent time, they noted that the front strut was leaking and then went out of their way to contact the Toyota dealership to check if my car was under warranty. It was... so they gave the closest dealership my information.Theyre a pleasure to deal with and very upbeat. Also they cleaned the exterior of my car for free after doing the oil change.

Ken Jr. and his wonderful team helped get our RV up and running in just a few hours. Even though our motorhome is a 27 foot Class C and isnt huge, most auto shops refuse to even work on RVs because of the size (dont fit in the bays/parking lot). But Solano Way let us know that it wouldnt be a problem. They quickly identified that our issue was the alternator, ordered the part, had it delivered within two hours and installed it soon after. They also let us know that the oil was low and topped it off for us, and replaced all our belts as a safety measure since they looked worn. Our RV is now running SO much quieter and better, and were so happy that we went to Solano Way instead of a different auto shop. Thank you!!!!!

This review is long overdue. The Kens are great! I ran my 2001 Saturn in to their shop in December; there was both a Check Engine light and a rattling sound coming from my front passenger-side wheel that had me extremely worried. Turned out the noise was because the strut tower was shot, and the Check Engine light was because of a bad EGR valve; they replaced both. While there, they discovered a transmission leak, but it wasnt emergent, so we postponed it.About a month later, the car making a bit of a squealing sound, so I ran it back in. They changed out the transmission filter, problem solved.Throughout it all, they frequently went out of their way to provide great customer service: Pickups and drop-offs as needed, no unnecessary charges (e.g.didnt run a diagnostic every visit even though they know whats causing the problem, like some shops will), and they kept me apprised of my vehicles progress the whole way through. They were so great that my girlfriends started going to them, too.Professional, friendly, and thorough. You cant do better than these guys.

Identified one problem quickly and got it dealt with, but then charged me almost 600$ for a transmission servicing (should be $270 at most). I recommend shopping around.
