Just had the most amazing experience in here with Gabrielle tonight! I was having a rough day and needed a little pick me up, she was so patient with me and my indecisiveness and went out of her way to find me things. Sweetest girl, in addition to the other lady working tonight (whose name I forgot, I’m sorry) but gosh they were fabulous. Found express item still of tags on them and some J.Crew store brand new. And spend 60 bucks. Thanks you Gabrielle for being so patient with me.

Ive just received my online order from this stores Gahanna location and the quality was what I expected. Im very happy with my purchase primarily because they had the exact items I was looking for. Their online shopping option saves so much time since I dont live so close and probably wouldnt make a trip to visit their physical location.

I made a selling appointment 1 1/2 hours before the store closed for 4 totes that they advertise taking 35-45 minutes. They finished buy at 8:15 (after the store was closed) and didnt answer the phone even though I called immediately after getting the text notification, so I had to make another trip the next day to pick up.

Loved the store. They were so helpful and had just what I needed.

Wasnt really happy with this store. Trying to turn in some clothes off my moms and they were nearly brand new from some name brands. Didnt expect to get a lot and was hopefull cause it liked like everything on the racks. Had like 10 bins and they were a little upset they were too bigWell they went through and none of the clothing got taken cause it was older than 2 years (didnt really know that was a thing, especially when it wash in style and comparable to the stuff of the racks) They took a few old purses though (older than 2 years I may add) but a complete waste of my time and effort

Unfortunately, I have made in hopes of making some money back and have left with nothing.pairs of shoes, pants and blouses were brand new and several clothes items had tags. I am sure there is a reason, but the complete wasted time is not worth it anymore. They were the brands they mentioned and selling there. She made an face and told me They are old fashion. What do you expect buy latest trends with full price and sell them to you for peanuts so you can make profit.I was happy to donate all my bag full of stuff and shoes to goodwill for nothing rather than you people with bloody attitude.

I was very anxious about coming to this location to sell some of my clothes due to the reviews I read, but I was pleasantly surprised. I came in around 3:30, they close at 5, and the lady said it would take about 30 minutes to go through the items I brought. I brought two big boxes so I wasnt going to be surprised if it took longer than they said. I decided to stay and look around while I waited. While I didnt really find a lot of things I liked, they had a large variety of clothes and accessories. Once my clothes were ready to get picked up, they ladies at the cash register were all very nice. They explained why they couldnt take some items. They took about 1/3 of my stuff, and gave me a very decent price for everything they took. I live in Newark, and it was definitely worth the drive! I will definitely be back here in a couple months when I switch out my closet!!

The store was fabulous! It was well lit, organized and easy to find. The only problem that I had was the customer service. I tried selling a few items yesterday. The woman at the counter wouldnt make eye contact with me. When it was time to check out they offered me less money than the clothes I brought in were worth!! The lady that checked my clothes claimed that her register wasnt open. I had to wait in line then after I was being helped she rang someone up at the register. This was a total waste of my time and gas!! What did she know about fashion anyhow she looked like Honey boo boo!

This is my holy grail for affordable plus-size shopping! Seriously. They have the cutest stuff for beauties of all size and the inventory is constantly updated, so you see new items each time you visit. As buyers, they are more than fair with their selections. You wont see a huge amount of return on investment unless you are bringing in designer items, but thats not really a big deal to me; if youre taking in items to a resale store expecting to make bank you should adjust your expectations. Everything I have purchased from this location has been in excellent condition. The staff is super fun & friendly, the clothes are trendy, and the accessories are always on point. Definitely check it out!

Great place to buy (real!) designer stuff! Wouldve given it 5☆, but when selling things specifically, the money back offers are usually not at all fair or worth the time and effort.

UPDATE: I gave this store a 2nd chance because I thought it was nice that the store owner replied and said they would work on their customer service. They lied. I dropped off a bag and was given a 45 min - 1hr wait time. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER they hadn’t even started to sort through what I was selling!!! They told me it would be another 45 minutes, making my wait time OVER THREE HOURS when I was told 1 or less. The girls working here STILL need a lesson in customer service. They stand around and talk to each other instead of working and then get an attitude when customers check on what’s going on. I will not return to this store for buying or selling. If you’re thinking about checking or Clothes Mentor, please do yourself a favor and go to the Upper Arlington location even if it’s a little further. The girls there are sweet and helpful and work hard and get things done quickly and efficiently if you’re selling.__________________This store is large and easy to find, which is great. They seem to have a pretty good selection of clothing in a range of sizes.However, the customer service at this location is TERRIBLE!!! I sold some clothes here and although they bought almost everything, the girl working did not speak to me or give any eye contact when cashing me out. She spent half the time talking to another employee about what she was doing this weekend.She also literally threw my bag with the 2 items they didnt accept on the counter without saying a word when I was leaving and walked away. The store wasnt even busy!!! No thank you, no come visit us again, nothing. They literally bought over 30 items from me; youd think they could be friendly to me if they wanted me to sell there again.Also, I decided to browse the clothes for a bit to see if there was anything I wanted to buy, and another employee asked me if I could stop looking at the dresses I was looking at because she was trying to put dresses away. So rude! Anyone who works retail knows that you politely work around the customer. It wasnt busy and I wasnt lingering for a super long time, she should have waited or politely said excuse me. Seriously horrible.I would say this store is not worth selling to because of the rude customer service. I might come back here to shop, but Im even second guessing that. This store could take a lesson in customer service from the Upper Arlington store! The girls there are sweet and helpful.

I absolutely love Clothes Mentor. My first experience with Clothes Mentor was several years ago at the first and original location at Henderson Rd. I could never leave without buying a few items. The selection and prices were and still are great. Then they opened the one in Westerville, then the one after that in Dublin, then the last one in Gahanna. I have happily shopped in all of these Clothes Mentors and my closets attest to my many shopping forays at these stores. More often than not, a good portion of Clothes Mentors stock is brand new, yet they keep the resale prices extremely reasonable. I truly recommend all of the Clothes Mentor stores. Ladies, you wont be disappointed.

Im almost hesitant to leave the glowing review this place deserves, because I dont want a ton of competition for the plethora of awesome clothes I find whenever I stop in this place. But its true, this place is such a gem! I always end up spending more than I wanted to, but thats not the fault of the store so much. Instead blame my lack of will power and give credit to their consistently high quality, wonderful selection of plus sized clothes!Often as a plus sized woman I find shopping -- and thrifting, in particular -- to be a depressing, soul crushing endeavor. But this place has a HUGE selection of larger sizes compared to other stores of its kind. Even better, they actually organize items on the racks by size, so I dont have to sort through a bazillion standard sized items to find something that fits me.Are there cheaper prices offered at other used clothing stores? Sure. But this place is clean and well kept, better organized, and their standards for quality are obviously higher than someplace like Goodwill or OhioThrift. Surely I am not the only plus sized person who is happy to shell out a bit more money in exchange for a shopping experience that doesnt leave me empty-handed and dejected. BLESS THIS STORE!

I walked in store and girl said 20% off most of store today(which was Friday sept 28th). I bought 4 items and returned 2 on Oct 1st. She said no returns on discounted items. Ill give you a store credit this time. What if they stop giving store credits. I dont like feeling like I did something wrong. When I searched on receipt thats what it said. Wow. You are only allowed 7 days to return anyway. Whats big deal about not refunding money. I otherwise liked this store. Ive went there many times

Clothes Mentor is a womens resale shop that really impresses. My wife usually comes out with an item or two that were amazing deals. The selection is pretty strong as well--a wide variety of brand-name items in excellent condition.

Absolutely love the clothes, shoes, and accessories I found here!A piece of advice for this or any 2nd hand store is to try on everything before you buy it. Sometimes people wash and dry things and those items may fit differently than you expect or you might find a slight flaw on the clothing while trying it on. If you try it on 1st youre more likely to be happy with your purchase. I have found some very beautiful clothes here which I wear to work and were very affordable. The price point is higher than other 2nd hand stores; however, they pay for those items from customers who bring them in and they are in better condition. Occasionaly you might find a small flaw, keep the tags on and receipt handy because you have seven days to return items which are not final sale.I had a good experience selling to them as well. I do understand that clothes which are resold are not worth a lot of money, but I am happy to have a place to sell those items nonetheless. I am passionate about 2nd hand stores because I believe that they go a long way in reducing waste and helping people dress nicely for affordable prices. I love this store!

It amazes me the amount of clothing they have in the store but they rarely take more than a few items of clothes I have to sell which is usually from very good clothing stores in town( JCrew, Madewell, Nordstrom, DKNY,). Today I looked around again to see what their inventory was and much of their clothes are from brands I have never heard of. Some of the clothes are worn or wrinkled too. Not sure I will go back.

My mother and I visited this location today to try and sell about 14 pieces of clothing and 5 designer handbags. A girl behind the counter greeted us when we walked in, and she sounded bored and distant like some sort of robot who really didnt want to be there. I didnt think much of it because she checked in our items pretty quickly and told us to come back in an hour and a half. It took much much longer than the time we were given, and we ended up coming back to the store and even walking around for awhile before going up to the counter to check on the clothes. When they werent ready, we walked around again until I finally received the text message saying that they were finished.When we got up to the counter, the girl handling our clothes was talking to her co workers and didnt greet us at all. She offered us $63 for the clothes they did take, and they rejected about four items which the receipt said wouldnt sell well. I had three items that were brand new with tags still on them that totaled about $119 alone, so I immediately rejected their offer and just asked for everything back. Also included was a brand new and never used Coach bag that I paid about $150 for. We knew that they might not make a very large offer, so we were prepared to leave without selling anything. We were very polite and patient with them, however, once we rejected the offer, the girls stanky attitude got even worse as she began roughly placing our clothes back into our bags.At one point she finally decided to make some eye contact with me and asked what the issue was. I told her that I just expected to be offered a bit more money and she didnt say anything else after that. I felt as though she was personally offended because I decided not to sell my stuff to them.Im not even too upset with the selling experience, but you all have got to consider hiring better customer service representatives. Their attitudes and demeanors are weird and standoffish. You make eye contact with people especially when you are doing business with them, and you shouldnt sound like youre irritated or bored. Their attitudes gave the store a nasty atmosphere.I also question how they train these workers to pick and choose whats in style and what will sell well. Some of the items out for sale in the store were smelly and didnt appear to be in fashion or even in good condition to wear.

Always find great deals on name brands. Staff could be more attentive.

My Mom went here today (New Years Eve) at around 2pm to sell some of her Mothers (My Grandmas) clothes that passed away a month ago tomorrow. All of her clothes are from Catherines and in beyond perfect condition but my Mom and I just really wouldnt wear them so we thought wed sell them to someone who would. Anyways they made a comment to my Mother stating, You do know we close at 6pm today, Right? And it was only 2pm. So my Mom handed her her bag and they took approximately 2 minutes to look through her things and she offered my Mom $3.00 cash for one black top which conveniently was the shirt on top in the bag. So I dont know if they were just not wanting to look through clothes today or just trying to make a point since they dont want to be there because its New Years Eve. But what kills me is one of the shirts in this store was one of the same ones in my Moms bag, From Catherines, Selling for $18.00 but because you are closing at 6pm today, You cant look through my Moms bag? All I know is you as the owner or whomever I may be getting a response from should probably consider hiring people with excellent customer service skills because what just happened is plain embarassing. We originally live in Cleveland but since my Grandma passed, My Mother has been staying with my Grandpa in Columbus and your store was just convenient for my Mom but I guess she will just have to continue to bring the things she wants to sell to Cleveland because the women at our Clothes Mentor arent nearly as rude and the last thing my Mom needs is to deal with some rude females that just want to get out of there because of the holiday. Honestly we both would have had more respect if one of these females just said that and would have suggested my Mom bring the clothes in a different day to be looked at. Also- You guys are selling Michael Kors puses for $120 and above. Just thought Id share that I can go to TJ Max/Marshalls and get a BRAND new one for $99-$110. BRAND NEW. Not used. But ladies, My whole point is here that you work at a resale shop. Please stop acting as if its something more than it is and try being nice/polite to customers and give them a nice experience especially someone like my Mother so I dont have to sit on Google and give a store a bad review for the whole world to see.
