Horrible place. Did a pickup order through the app. They took the money out of my account and 15 minutes before I was suppose to pick up the order, they cancelled the order. No reason was given. I went to the store and talked to customer service. They called the manager and they told me what he said but it didnt make sense. So I asked to speak to the manager in person. The manager came up and I asked him to explain to me what happened to my order. He said they are short staff and cannot do pickup orders even if the app says I can. He said all orders were cancelled because of that. I just dont know why they waited until 145 pm to send me an email to tell me that my 2:00 pm order was cancelled. Why not tell me the day before when I placed my order?. Either way, they did not handle this to a higher standard. Dont waste your time and money at that Kroger. Go to another one. Let this store die because its on its way there already by the looks of the inside.
Fine except the ride on carts are not regularly charged. I have complained numerous times but its just not a priority for them. Everything else is stellar
Store is clean but on the smaller side. Carts are never a issue to find but they are alittle old and rusty.
Checked out with Kale and Gregory and it was incredibly fast. They were professional and efficient and even though Kale was running groceries faster than I could unload, Gregory managed to sort as if he’d been in my kitchen and knew how I had it organized. Nice work guys! Thanks!
Good service. My check out register was not working correctly and the associate was beside me b4 I could ask for help! Appreciate her attentiveness, promptness in handling the situation, friendliness, and I was in and out quickly. Thank you Kroger and employee.
Good prices, good for bulk shopping. Curb pickup is a mess though, dont expect it to be organized or quick.
I love shopping here the prices are phenomenal
Most disgusting grocery store I have ever been to. Produce was old and not fresh. Meat also did not look fresh. I was disappointed shopping for Instacart because my customers got nasty produce that was brown in some spots, and the zucchini was dented and scratched up. Never coming back.
Good prices and clean. I really like a lot of their store brand items. I wish the makeup section was better. Staff is professional. I guess I just wish it was more like their Roberts Branch location. Needs a serious upgrade.
Good Local Kroger. Not Large but convenient. My only problem is that they do not enforce Mask Wearing with their customers.
I love them! VERY comparable prices. The employees that bring out my groceries are all so very nice! I used to do Wal-Mart pick up more often but began having more issues with them. Plus, if I needed items refrigerated or non-refrigerated it would at least be booked out a day or two. Target usually lets you do puck up same day if you schedule in the morning but they dont let you do refrigerated item selections in your pick up orders, so we started looking into Kroger and they normally prepare early placed orders SAME DAY and offer refrigerated and non-refrigerated items for pick up! Sweet! Love them and I even make a longer drive just for their availability and service!
Please have more Brown Butter cookies. This store is always sold out. They are so good.
Cashier was a thief. Only use the self checkout.
WORST KROGER ever. Terrible produce-IF its in stock. Old & brownALL the employees are ALWAYS on their phones. At the register, in the isles, the young dude thats the security guard stands there on his phone with his head down. Never see a manager ans the self check out ladys are rude as hell.
I shop here because its the closest grocery store to my house; however, I find it necessary to pop the wrappers on the seafood before I put in my cart because more often than not, the fish has been spoiled and stunk up my car and refrigerator before I can return it -- salmon, mahi mahi, cod, etc. I know other people who have the same problem with this particular Kroger. I dont know what it is about this store, but its very frustrating to not to be able to trust what youre buying and not have to worry about making another trip to the store to return it. Its such a hassle. The fruit and vegetables are sometimes just as bad. I dont know how many times Ive gotten old apples and mushy blueberries. Ive contacted corporate and the store manager on more than one occasion. Well see if anything changes. I know I can go to Publix or Walmart and not be disappointed but its just a little further. Wish I could just trust Kroger!!!
Some cashiers are friendly enough... most are insanely rude.
The deli staff was great!
I have to agree with the other reviews of customer service, esp. Miss Jammie or Jamie. I was told to bring some rotten produce and outdated stuff back (from delivery). However, she got mad in the store and yelled at me that she didnt have to take anything back, because they had new rules. Fine, but I had just called in to ask an HOUR earlier. I think she really could have at least replaced a few items or given a partial refund just for good customer relations. Unless Kroger has figured out they can dump rotten produce and bad milk on you in delivery to help their bottom line. Really gross.
I bought yogurt from here yesterday on October 21, 2020. It expired September 22, 2020. I should have checked this but also assumed they wouldnt have yogurt on the front of the shelf that expired a month ago. Pretty foul
This was the first time I have ever been up the hill to this Kroger and was very surprised by how nice it was inside! It is an old store to be sure, but it really well done and could use some more organic selections. I got some great deals to be sure. It could also use with a better beer selection. This could be their niche, but they are passing it by. I will be coming back when I am over this way.
Columbia SC the land of many grocery stores. I do not know if there is any city in the USA that has such a high concentration of different grocery stores. Now Kroger gets added to the list.
The best time ever
I came from Kansas enjoying Dillions Grocery and was so pleased to see their sister store, Kroger here when I arrived. I love shopping at Kroger. Always something more than fresh produce and great grocery selections.
They need a new team. Customer Service Sucks! They are usually very well stocked but, for the best few times I have gone. The shelves have been a little empty.
Selection could be better, and prices are a little high. Which might be ok, since the convenience factor of being 3 blocks from home makes it tough to pass by, until... You have to deal with the staff. They are rude... I mean RUDE! I may not always be the happiest person in the room, but Im always respectful of people who are working. So I am courteous and say please and thank you. I dont judge people based on what job they are doing, because I dont know what brought them to this moment in time. I am not elitist, I am no better than anyone, but I am no less than anyone else either. So for a cashier to be rude to me without any reason is insulting. If you dont like your job, get a new one. If the previous customer insulted you, or treated you poorly, be mad at them... Not me! But from now on, Ill take my money somewhere else. I would walk a mile down the street, before driving the 3 blocks to Kroger.
My favorite grocery store especially the self check out that is always open with a great customer assistant there. Produce is always the best. Store restrooms are clean just a beautiful shopping experience.
The worst grocery store in Forest Acres, the employees are ghetto, except one very sweet white girl with coloured hair. They dont even wipe buggys down for customers.
I have mixed feelings about this branch, it seems to be on the decline. To start, its a great store pretty much all around at first sight. Every department has a wide selection of basic, vegan, and organic choices. However, products seem to drop off the shelves, never to be stocked again. This is my main problem with this branch. Many items that I use often are moved, discontinued, or simply never get ordered again. When i ask about the missing product, most staff seem oblivious as to what Im talking about. Its unfortunate to see this happen at such a prominent grocery store. Hopefully the upper staff will rectify this and bring this store back to its former glory. After all, i believe kroger is a fantastic, well stocked grocery store.
Terrible employee old white lady. Rude as hell. Will never come back
Very clean food lion with a friendly management and cashier staff.
This is a nice little Krogers. Today however no cabbage and a few other items in the produce and also cashier wasnt too nice but all in all it is a nice store.
Savings savings savings love this store. Been a customer for years and the products are always organized and fresh. They have a great vegan selection
Kroger always has good deals. They were low on stock when I was there. Their prices are realistic and the store design is easy to follow. Always reliable.
Since I had knee surgery and need a motorized cart to be able to shop until my recovery is further along, I have never been unable to find one here. There are always some at the front of the store waiting for customers to use. I will say that there are places where its hard to maneuver them in the store but you can usually get around pretty well. This is one of the bright spots in town for a temporarily handicapped shopper.
Kind of ghetto but staff is super friendly
Love Kroger, good selection & prices esp on produce. Digital coupons are super easy! People are friendly for the most part.
A good neighborhood grocery store. Its kept pretty clean, the prices are good and you can get all of the basic or common foodstuffs there with no issue. If you need specialty type ingredients, you probably will not find it here. The customer service I found is pretty average. No one goes out of their way to help you, and most of the staff wont say anything to you unless you talk to them first. That being said, when I have asked for help, Ive gotten it without any fuss.Id say my biggest annoyance is that the cart area in the store is often empty, especially the smaller carts, and you sometimes have to go find one yourself.
This 24 hour mainstay grocery store was recently levelled up with more space, great access, and terrific team members available to offer assistance throughout those 24 hours. On a recent visit in the wee hours of the morning, the gentleman who was managing the handy self checkout area was even prepping each checkout station for the next customers by making sure the bags in each bagging section were opened up to make customer bagging just that much more convenient. Talk about pride in your work! I noticed the extra effort and was met with a big smile by the gentleman. I am a regular at this Kroger for several reasons, but their great people are the first reason on my list.
One of the better chain grocery stores on the east side of town. The staff here is typically friendly, which is one of the reasons I have rated this store positively. This store does seem to have a bit of a stocking issue, as some items seem to always be jumbled and and in low supply (e.g. ice cream). Checkout tends to be quick thanks to several self checkout terminals. The store hours recently changed from being open 24-7, to closing at 1am.
In and out quickly. Open late. Decent prices and they have my water jugs.
Customer Service Sucks! They are usually very well stocked but they dont like to help customers times for changes .
Overprice and the people’s work these is rude ..the shrimp is old ...never go back there again
I did not know the Pharmacy closed at 8PM. However, when I came in the door, a very nice Kroger associate spoke and smiled at me. She was so pleasant!
My favorite place to buy grocerys! Better selection than most places and the guy whos always there, Ted, is really great and helpful to me and my boyfriend whenever were there!
Probably the longest standing grocery store in Forest Acres. It has withstood the gentrification and influx of yuppies like a champ. You can still shop here on a limited budget and not leave feeling like youve just been violated in a prison shower.
Every single time I come to this location their seafood department is NEVER open until the time its supposed to be! Came here at 6pm more enough time and of course they are close because of a family emergency but when I asked the manager is there emergency EVERY TIME I come?!?! All Im saying is dont have a sign up if you arent going to honor what it says!! NEVER have this problem with the one ST Andrews! Workers or manager didnt care either! Smh
Went to the store to make return and one of the employees was literally eating a chicken leg while taking items back to put on the shelf (I assume). Just standing there eating a chicken leg and putting her hands on everything. This was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in a Kroger store! Very unsanitary and VERY unprofessional. Things like this seems be the norm at this store.
Great spot been going there since i was a chap so probably 35-40 years. Friendly like family staff great prices.
Small store but adequate. Items ring up correctly 95 % of the time.
Pretty much a typical grocery store. The vegetables and produce are usually pretty nice, the bakery makes a mean apple fritter.
Nice clean environment, and they stay open pretty late which is really nice when you need it.
Wish it were bigger.3 years later I still wish it was bigger. I usually end up having to go somewhere else to finish getting what I came to buy from Kroger. Stock is not deep enough.Love the store, the hours, the staff. Just need more of it. Killian Rd. location so far away especially since I am coming from Cayce. After more than 20 years, I still miss the West Columbia location! I was there all the time.
Its one of the older Krogers around, but the recent renovation has brought it up a notch or two. The outside is in need of a little more upgrading, but Im not that picky. The service was good and they have a Redbox out front.
Great neighborhood store, its kind of a cross between your standard grocery store and a higher end one.
Store seems a little run down, but its in a great location and the staff was helpful.
It was a good trip to the store...people was very helpful to me...and i got everything i needed
Awesome supermarket experience! Very customer friendly! I love this store!
Terrible produce, awful customer service, and yall might wanna tell the security guard that drives the red pick up truck to stop parking in the handicap spot. What is he even thinking
The fresh strawberries are always frozen. The automated checkout kiosks are outdated and frustrating. They only play pro-alcoholism country music. The Powered Gatorade is limited to one flavor. Kroger on Forest Drive is highly unsatisfactory amongst the lower grocery stores. GOOD DAY!
They were very nice and polite will go back again
Clean friendly work and shopping environment
I swear everything is always on sale. Great prices and great staff.
They always have great prices and I am always able to get in and out quickly. Occasionally their produce section will be almost empty, and this has occurred on more than one visit.
Clean store fresh produce and meat is fresh.love shopping at this store.
Great selection of produce and I was so humored by the fact that they have an entire aisle of frozen pizzas. Never heard of some of them so I’ll have to check it out.
Glad this store is still around...With all the new development its nice to still see employees that have weathered the changes...Would love to see Kroger head back to Lexington side of town..
Better prices than other stores but with a neighborhood feel.
Spent more than I liked for such a little bit of items!
Great hot and fresh chicken dinner! The service was great!
I was there on June 3 in the evening. The customer service lady was acting like I showed up at her house and interrupted the party.
Love that they are open 24 hours a day (except the deli). They have also gotten a lot of new healthy or alternative foods (ie: soy and almond milk).
Great I was able to get in and out, they had everything I was looking for
These people crazy. I paid $8 for a 3-pound bag of honeycrisp apples. Also, to top that off, I purchased a glass jar Bavarian sauerkraut when I got home and ate it I noticed that it tasted far more pickled than usual and was almost sour. When I checked the expiration date I discovered the jar was almost expired. It takes a very long time for our food to expire in a jar or can, especially one that is pickled like sauerkraut, so that tells me they allowed this product to sit on the shelf for far too long. Only will return to the store if in a pinch, and I will be extremely careful of the products I purchase.
I like this store and their pharmacy is excellent!
I wish I could give this store negative stars. I had to quit shopping here in the past because of a rat infestation. I decided to give the store another chance since they got a remodel. I dont know why I ever did. Theyve gotten rid of all the good employees. And now instead of a rat infestation they have a roach infestation. They have a poor management team and now the store isnt even open 24 hours. Worthless...
Krogers is one of my favorite stores. Always great Customer service
This location off of Forest Drive has remodeled and it is not improved. They have automatic doors which are convienient but overall the store is too small. The isles are too narrow, certain areas have products that are bunched up, customer service is ok. Used to be 24 hours about 2 or 3 years ago, but they now close at a certain time at night.
I love this Kroger its like distant cousins yu fucc with. Lol
Its not bad, just wish it had more vegan options and a better organic selection.
The selection has gotten better here, but its open 24/7, which is the real draw if youre into late night beer or snacks.
Forest Drive, Columbia, SC - Customer service was the P.I.T.S ! I went at 10:30pm Friday night and only the self-service registers were open. There were 2 employees and a security guard watching me struggle with the register! Do you think they offered to help...NOT! and when I asked for help they guided me from across the room! No, Let me show you or let me help you....just looking at me like I was bothering them! Well perhaps, I should apologize for missing the training on how customers are suppose to pay for their items AND work the registers! All of this AFTER I fully intended to write a glowing review on how Nancy (from the deli) department helped me via phone earlier by walking over to the bread department to verify that a product was in stock (before I drove across town)! Thanks Nancy! 5 stars to you!
Not impressed with the store but I guess the saving was good
It is always clean. Friendly services. 😘
Good prices, produce staffed for busy time before Thanksgiving!
It was an extremely pleasant experience because everyone was very helpful and even thanked me for shopping there.
Good. Even though I think its not good when you have to by more than 1 item to get the sales price.
Good luck buying booze, whether driving or not. Tried to buy GROCERIES, as well as a 12 pack. African guy named Greg informed me that they refused to serve me, even though my cart was full of groceries. I paid $8 for a cab up to an establishment and this is the service I get. No manager on duty at night either. NO REFUND WHATSOEVER for the cab ride. Hello, Bi-Lo !!!
You never know what you will find here from day to day.
Fresh and great produces and meats. Great services
Its a bit nicer since they remodelled, but dot expect too much.
I love Kroger prices and tge staff
I dislike this Kroger! Produce is not too fresh, product availability is low. Ive walked in one day when the store smelled so stale - I had to literally run back to my car.The kroger on sandhills is so much better.
Have been a faithful customer for over 20 years. Great Customer service.
I do my regular grocery shopping here. The staff is friendly and the store is kept very clean and organized. I probably shop here 3-5 times in any given month as it is close to my house.Management pays attention to items which are often out-of-stock, and quickly makes the recommended changes by customers. I always meet friendly customers here too. This Kroger can get pretty crowded on a holiday weekend, on Friday afternoons/evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. The best time to go to avoid the crowds (the store is much smaller than a Super Kroger and smaller than most grocery stores) is early am like between 7 and 10 am, and during the week after lunch. The savings and fuel points alone keep me returning to Kroger. I hardly shop at other grocers in the area. If I do, its Publix and rarely Bi-Lo or Food Lion for specific sale items. The fuel points have saved me a ton of money on gas. If you are a loyal shopper, Kroger sends you coupons to your house in the mail. That combined with digital coupons from the app or website make for huge savings. Wal-Mart cannot compete in this area. They offer ZERO INCENTIVES to customers to shop there and thats why I dont fool with them. You may not find all the organic or niche grocery items here that are typically sold at a Super Kroger like the one on Killian Rd., or the one in Sparkleberry Plaza, however its worth the trip to this one if you just need a few things, and are nearby.
Love the prices and everything was easy 2 find
Good deals, always reliable. Its a big store, but it has everything
The store is not too big and it is easy to find what you need. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
