I had a garage door installed in my barn and when it came time to install an opener for it there was no question about having Smarr Garage Door come back to do the work. Not only did I get an opener installed in the barn, but a new gear pack in one of my home openers. Upon finishing and adjusting the home opener, they also adjusted the second home opener as part of the service call. Called for an estimate and the guy arrived promptly, told me a couple things I could do myself to help cut costs. I thought that was nice. Finally decided to go with Smarr as they were the only ones who tried to work with me and my budget. I had a very unique situation as the garage had never actually been a garage. The house was built as a model home and sliding doors were installed instead of a garage door as they used that area as an office. After 48 years, nobody had ever utilized it as a garage. A garage was more valuable to me than another room. Smarr was able to make this happen. They came in, even did some reframing for me, which took considerable time. What a terrible company. Dont even know where to start but lets begin with the fact that Ive had my garage door for less than 2 months and have a 1 year warranty but they still intended on charging me. Next, it took forever for someone to come out to even look at it because they do jobs whenever its convenient to them and have no organization skills or customer service what so ever. They told me theyd come out at a date then didnt end up coming out until two weeks later. Like I said they have to queue for when customers make appointments, its whats convenient to them. The day they were supposed to come out and give an estimate they said that they couldnt and we would have to wait longer given weve been waiting for weeks no so we demanded that they come out and look at our garage as its their job, so it took getting aggressive with them in order to actually get someone to come out. When the person came out to look at the garage he had look of annoyance on his face and as if he hated life, his job or the world, who knows but he wasnt friendly at all and completely useless. So after a month and half has passed theyre actually coming out to do their job. In conclusion do not go through this company as they have structure within their business, no customer service skills, and will always put you off until you become stern with them and demand their service. Makes no sense to me.

I experienced great customer service this week from the folks at the Smarr Garage Door Company. I worked with them 4 years ago when I needed two residential garage doors installed. When I recently damaged the upper panel of one of the doors I walked into their business seeking their advice/assistance.Cade listened and reviewed some photos I provided. He determined the problem and offered a solution. He had me follow him to the shop and he retrieved some new but old stock parts he had on an upper shelf. He had listened that I wanted to tackle the repair myself to get a few more years of service from the garage door. He took really good care of me with the price on the parts. I followed his repair instructions and the door is back in service again.I didnt realize that I was working with the new owner of the business until I went online to leave this review. As a fellow small business owner I understand how financially brutal the overhead can be...he couldve simply suggested that I buy a new door, he didnt do that. What he did do is build trust...I know I can recommend him to others and one day I too will need a more complicated repair or door replacement. So for now...thank you Cade!
