The young man at the register during our late evening visit was the type of employee I wish I had in my company. Outstanding! So sorry I did not get his name. Went out of his way to make our visit amazing for our granddaughter. The store was well stocked, and in good shape.

Went in here to look for my son a birthday present. Came out with a bathtub, a basketball set, old school etch a sketch. They have a very wide selection of Thomas the train there. Found that to be pretty cool. Very affordable. Nice and helpful staff.

Ive always loved toys r us. My son always asks to go there because they have the best selection in toy cars you normally dont see in standard retail stores. Its a shame they are closing which is an era that should never end.

Not sure you can say anything bad about toy r us, but this is an old store, it could use a ventilation update its hot stuffy and the 20 yr old ceiling fans 20 feet up, can make the worst noises. They have stock, the prices are too high when comparing to say big discount stores, but for that specialty toy your kid wants, normally they are the place to go to. I give 4 stars due to uncomfortable air quality, the prices not being competitive to other stores, but gave 4 stars for inventory in stock supply and really, an organized staff whom works with you till you leave with what you wanted or something close to it

My husband I went to Toys R Us last night to purchase some Christmas gifts for our daughter. We were looking at bikes and their selection is pretty expansive. A team member named Dwayne helped us figure out the best size and even installed a kick stand for us while we shopped. We were also looking for a toy that was listed as available on their website however the team member at the service desk said they were out but brought over 2 even better options. At check out I had a coupon that wouldnt work so the cashier just applied a credit in the same amount. Everyone was great. Awesome experience!

I was shopping for Disney dolls and was a bit overwhelmed by all the options. Erich helped me find exactly what I needed. Hes so nice and considerate to assist my shopping. Since Im 73and dont have children or grands of my own, I so appreciated his help .

Its no wonder this company isnt doing well. This store is always a mess, the staff is less than welcoming, and for as many people as they always have working youd have to blame it on the manager for not keeping things on track. Its a shame too because this is one of the few actual TOY STORES still alive. Sure you can buy stuff online, but what about those toys you really need to see in person or if your child wants to go try to find something to buy with money they got as a gift.Please take some time to clean the place up!

Although I think this store is set to close, I have always had a good experience finding toys for my child at this location. The store is always well stocked though it really needs a good update.

Toys R Us is always an amazing store to visit when youre looking for toys. The only downside to this store is its very dated, which they cant help. The staff here are always nice, and theres always a great selection.

We Love Toys R Us!! They have a huge selection of kids toys!! I have a 12, 6 and 4 year old, so we are definite customers. They usually keep most of the toys, that other shopping stores, run out of, in stock there.

Its a real shame the company is liquidating. We shopped there for birthday and Christmas presents for our 4 yr old every year. We took him this week for the first time and he said I love this store! Sad to see a kids staple store closing...

Stopped in to see if this store was any better in its closing than the one near our home. Store looked like it hadnt been updated since 2002 and there was very little left with their closing sale. Couldnt believe the shape the store was in, cant imagine what it looked like when it was open.

So sad that they are OUT OF BUSINESS! I was definitely raised in the era of Toys R Us successful years. So sad to see that they had to go out of business and a lot of the millennial kids dont understand the excitement of visiting Toys R Us! They were the example of toys and gadgets. If no one had it, Toys R Us did and sometimes they had it exclusive to their stores only!

Medium sized toys r us. So selection isnt as big as some Ive seen. But it does the job. Customer service is alright. Ive seen better but all in all makes the child happy and serves its purpose.

ToysRUs has the best all round variety of toys. I am a big Lego fan and they have the best selection outside a Lego Store.

Pretty good Toys R Us and Kids R Us. The staff is friendly and has always been helpful. They can be a bit under stocked on newer toys you may be looking for or they would get 5 stars.

Oh man. This place always seems to be understaffed and the temperature is always wrong. Hot in summer. Cold in winter. I can usually find what I am looking for but the staff cant. If you decide to buy something on a special offer, make sure you can fully explain all details of the offer to the cashier.

I went here to get some Nintendo Switch accessories and the store employees did not mind a bit looking in the back to check stock. I left with what I came for.Great experience

What a joke!! Going out of business sale at only 30% off??? I dont think so! No wonder they are closing the doors, they dont even know what a sale is. Walked in to find out that the sale was mostly 10% off with select items at 30%. I was there for about 5 minutes and decided to spend my money somewhere else. Everyday sales are at 30% sometimes more. Not hard to figure out why they are closing!!! Dont waste your time until they really have a sale!!!

This is great if you are looking for something specific, Christmas, Birthday etc.. Taking the kids inside with you..Not so much fun.. They are closing this location in the near future, So they have discounts on everything!!

Store is closing, but prices dont reflect that, still kinda pricey. Signs say entire store up to 30% off, but still there are some things that are not on clearance. How is that entire store? Plus, for years Ive gotten rewards points, but those are no longer being honored. No notification, no heads up, no nothing. As soon as they declare bankruptcy, you can no longer use. Hate to see you go, but there is a clear reason why.

Stuff is kinda all over the place and it doesnt feel too clean. Cardboard boxes everywhere. The staff was very nice though so thats a plus.

We always love to take our daughter to toys R us, we can always find every toy my daughter ask for, instead of going to Walmart and then kmart, these arent toy stores, so you dont get all toys.

There was only one person doing cashiering and customer service. She wasnt helpful with our problem. The manager, however, understood our problem and was much more helpful.

Ordered a bike to be assembled 2 weeks ago. Was told they were a little backed up and would be ready in a few days. That I would get a call as soon as it was assembled. Ive called everyday this last week and either got no answer or people who had no idea if it was ready. I finally got through to someone in the back and they said its been assembled for a while now. Poor customer service.

Good selection but the toys cost a lot more than online sometimes.

Person whom I sent gift received wrong item. Did a Three-Way-Call. Spoke to phone support, the supervisor Brandon in Georgia, and his boss. Three-levels of support, and although ToysRUS acknowledges shipping wrong toy they take no responsibility saying it is their warehouse that made the mistake.

Prices on clothes were very high, but they have a good selection of toys, clothes, etc.

Absolutely horrible customer service. We put our daughters Christmas on layaway on the Dec 7. We were told we had 2 weeks to pay it off and pick up her gifts. When we went back 10 days later we were told they had put everything back on the shelf and that the layaway actually only had 4 days to be paid not two weeks. When I notified a manager all he wanted to do was rub it in my face that the receipt said it was to be paid on the 11th. I admit we probably should have looked at the receipt but the associate really should have told us the right date. When I spoke with the General Manager she only said that she didnt know how this could happen but that I should have read my receipt. When asked why they couldnt have called me she said they had too many layaways to call everyone. I own a business and we call everyone that comes through the door to remind them of their appointments. When I told her, the manager and employee needed to be retrained she said she didnt know who they were. I told her I had the employee numbers but she didnt care and didnt want them. I had to make the GM go get what they had left off their shelves to try to refill my order. Several of the items were available online as I was talking to the manager but she insisted they werent (I was looking at the website as we spoke). They only had 8 of the 30 items we had originally wanted. They also tried to refuse to refund the money I had put down on the layaway which was over half the purchase! Bottom line they didnt care about us, our problem nor did they care if the fixed it. Worst customer service EVER!!!! Will never give Toys R Us another dime!!!

On Feb. 15th of this year, I THOUGHT I was having an awesome experience at your Irmo, SC Babies R Us location. The associate at the registry counter assisted me in making a fairly large purchase for the nursery. I am a first time mom and devastated to find out that my parents had to purchase a new crib in order to surprise me with a completed nursery. I originally purchased what I thought to be a 4 in 1 convertible crib... over the weekend while I was on vacation, my parents put the crib together only to discover its a mini crib. I would hope that someone helping 1st time moms would have realized that the crib and the mattress I purchased were not compatible items. In hindsight, I realize that she was rushed and there is not enough staffing in the registry department at this location. And to pour salt in the open wound, the associate I spoke with about returning it patronized me the whole time I was one the phone with her. If I knew the answers to the questions I was asking, I wouldnt have called. Come to find out today is day 90 and if I had the ability to drop what I was doing, the item is eligible for return. Im so disgusted by this whole experience that Im strongly considering canceling my registry because I cant step foot in one of your stores again. This is supposed to be a happy time in my life, but here I am on my 28th birthday at 31 weeks pregnant bawling my eyes out because of your poorly trained employees.

This store totally racially profiled me the moment I walked in. I had people following me around the store as if I was going steal something. I eventually confronted the manager after I noticed an employee that was always, coincidentally, in the same ile I was in, pretending to be setting up boxes.I told the manager that I had more than enough money to pay for the toy I came into the store looking for, and did not need to be followed around by the employees. I will never go back there!WARNING! Do not give these people your phone number at the register; they sell your phone information to 3rd party telemarketers. And if you think Im joking, read the back of your receipt.

I had a layaway, the guy was not paying attention and charged me twice. Handed me the receipt and said I could pay when I could. I went to pay my layaway balance in full and they cancelled my account! I was told that the pay dates was on the bottom of my receipt and it is policy to pick up by December 13th. I do not care what policy is, you let your customers know the policy and due date before they leave that register. You lose business this way, bc not only do I not have a layaway but they dont have my money! Cashiers need to pay more attention to their customers and less on their co-workers.

They have lots of cool toys as long as you are willing to pay TrU prices.
