Yesterday, I received the most exceptional experience at this Ulta location. The manager, Leslie assisted me with any and ALL questions I had regarding makeup products as well as makeup applications. I never felt as if she was selling me products just to sell either. I thoroughly appreciated her product knowledge and professional service. Also extremely impressed with how she directed her employees to service other customers throughout the store. She’s an incredible leader. I will recommend this location to everyone I meet! Leslie, thank you so much for making me feel confident about my makeup purchase! Looking forward to my next return!

I have always liked Ulta, but this location exceeds any other store Ive been to! Its always extremely clean, well stocked with the RIGHT items, BUT its the EMPLOYEES that make this location so special! They are always nice and very welcoming. They are extremely Knowledgeable, and if one person doesnt know how to help you, they will find another employee that can! I believe that they go about and beyond, and never feel as if they are pressuring you into buying something! I will drive past the one closer to me to go to THIS LOCATION any day!!!💯💯

This is from a guys perspective: I wanted to get genuine cologne, not the knock off stuff sold at pop up stores, and two part shampoo and conditioner. I went in and was greeted by an employee and I explained what I needed. She showed me where the cologne was and then began to walk off. I asked again for help before she walked off and I was sort of more direct this time in asking what type of fragrance I was looking for. She told me what was popular, nothing really about a specific product, and she started to walk off again. I then called out again before she left to ask about where the hair products were. She walked me over to them and then left. I felt really out of place already since this store is mainly geared towards female products, but this made it even worse. I came to this store hoping to get expert help and advice on my questions but I guess you dont get that here as a guy. In the time I was there searching Google for my questions because I didnt get any help, I saw multiple associates helping other customers who happened to be female, but actually helping them, staying with them, and talking about the products. I dont know if the person working with me was just having an off day, and I would totally understand, or if this is just the mentality of the entire store/Ulta. This was my first ever time in an Ulta and will definitely be my last.

This was my first time ever shopping here. It was great at first. The girl that was out on the floor was wonderful. She was friendly and helpful without being pushy. I found more than I needed and was in a great mood until I got to the register. The sales person there was less than friendly and kinda popped my first time, good experience bubble. I may try shopping online next time.

Moe, the general manager, is an absolute angel! Not only did she help me choose a foundation that would work best for my skin type (after multiple failed attempts to find something on my own) but she matched me to a shade I would have never chosen for myself and it is PERFECT. The staff is so much friendlier, helpful, and upbeat than others in the past and I enjoy my experience there so much more now!

Used to be one of my favorite stores until today. I just walked in 10 minutes ago when nearly 4 employees were all near the entrance and I even noticed a male worker turn look at me and not say a thing. While still in the front looking at the product on the front tables I noticed the same employee greet multiple customers after me of another race. I never felt the need to write a review until today because I’m very disappointed that I would drive 30 minutes to this location every time I needed to visit Ulta just to be treated like this. After noticing that I walked straight out and will not step foot in this location again. I am currently on my way to the harbison location where I hope I can be treated with respect as any other customer or will stop spending money with this company all together.

I’m very disappointed with this location. I went into the store and made an appointment for my brows and received the text stating when my appointment was. I also received the text one day prior stating when my appointment was. I showed up on time for my appointment and the employee said that there’s nobody there to do brows and that she doesn’t know what happened... to top it off it’s my birthday...

Graduation ceremonies for these great Soldiers is awesome. Even if you dont know them, it great to be a spectator and cheer for them. Many have no family or friends to be there for them. You may come and great them personally after the ceremonies.

Nice staff and plenty of inventory. The chemical fumes were overwhelming and nauseating. Was trying to spend a Christmas giftcard, but had to hurry out. The thermostat is controlled from Chicago and it was a warm day in Columbia, South Carolina. It was much too warm in the store. My experience was short and uncomfortable and I will not be able to return.

Brittany is an amazing hair stylist! She took the time to listen to what I was looking for, and she gave her professional input as well. She is very friendly, and you can tell she loves her job. I was so happy with my hair when I left. I would definitely recommend Brittany.

I like it better than sephora because they have many of the same products, but the sales people arent pushy asking if you need help all the time. Also the prices are great in the clearance section

Ulta is a great place to get your hair done. They are conveniently located in the crosshill shopping center. Brittany is the best hair stylist I have ever been to. Very professional and sweet. She is very knowledgeable and will give great advice on hair products to keep you going until your next style. In a world of cheap, fast places to cut your hair, its nice to find someone who is a true professional and well worth her cost. She takes her time and actually listens to what you want, with the right amount of advice to give you a great style. Let her know its your first time and they will offer you a little discount. Great salon and over the top service. Do yourself a favor and make this the next place you go for a day of beauty.

They have so many great beauty aids and makeup. Nicole helped me navigate the thousands of products to discover items that did what I requested. Needed a skin brightener and she knew just what to suggest. Fun store/ great service! Ask for Nicole!

Great location, well stocked, convenient hours. This location also boasts a full service hair salon in the back (which I have been to several times, with great results each time). There is also a wax bar with well trained estheticians. Call to make an appointment first!

I agree with the other reviewers; the staff ruins this location. I have been trying to find a new foundation and I cannot ever find a staff member in the store to help me, instead they are all standing around talking. I understand them not being around the lower end makeup products, but they should be willing to help someone if theyre willing to shell out almost 50 dollars on a product. Every time I visit a Sephora the employees there are eager to help me find what I want and even test it on my face to make sure I like it before I get home. I keep having to come back and return my products because no one in the store is available to help me find what I need/color match me. At least Ulta lets you return used items.

Colby did a great job helping out my wife. He made sure that she was educated on product application without talking down to her. All questions were answered before we left and we were in and out of the store in no time at all.

They are very helpful and quick to greet you when you walk in the door. Its nice to find out I had $36 in Ulta bucks to use. Nice.

The most miserable looking employees I have ever seen in an Ulta. The cashier wouldn’t even say hello or tell my points. They have good stock of makeup all the time so that’s the only reason I go. I don’t want this place to be the stereotypical Ulta where no one helps or even has a happy face.

They cool and they have a make up artist instead. Only thing I don’t like about is that it’s too crowded and cluttered for people in wheelchairs.

Just got a facial done and it was the best facial I have had this far!! My place for skin care...

I come to this store a few days ago to get the naked eye shadow palette that I thought was on sale at the time, but wasn’t. No big deal, but when I got to the register the young girl that was ringing me up completely ticked me off. I was talking to her as soon as I walked up and she never responded to what I asked and as soon as I finished talking, she asked if I was a rewards member. This is very cohesive with what everyone else is saying about this store and it’s as if she could have not given at rats @** about anything I was saying and was simply just waiting for me to quit talkin so she could ask me if I was a member. I absolutely HATE this store and the rude staff, if I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would!!

My salon experience was phenomenal and ALL of the staff was amazing. They were very helpful and went over the top to make sure I was happy. Very impressed!

I went yesterday for a full dimensional highlight with Catherine. She was awesome. I did some highlights with some red low lights. It turned out a little darker than I expected but that was the toner and honestly I needed it bc my hair was a little overprocessed. It evened out some of my hair color to look more natural. I absolutely love the way it turned out. She did an excellent job!

Got lashes put on by an employee. It was a cool experience

A wonderful selection of cosmetics, hair care, bath and body products. They also carry appliances such as hair dryers, curling irons, razors, etc. They even have a salon on site. Only negative is they are pricey!

A little expensive for some of the same items I find at Target. But they still have items I sometimes cant find. Plus good clearance items if you take the time and look through them

Great selection for those who already know what they are looking for but the people who work there treat you like an annoyance if you need help.

First of All staff was very nice, don’t see why everyone is saying they’re rude. Secondly, if you need your hair done ask for Catherine or Danee. Catherine was very professional, knowledgeable, gental, she explains everything to you and was able to make me happy with a botched coloring done by another stylist..with that said Don’t go to Paula.

Ulta is in my neighborhood. I love beauty products and will gladly give a positive review when earned. However, the last 2 times I have gone into the store to buy a product that I have previously used and liked, it wasnt in stock and an aesthetician has shown me another product. Problem is, this new better product costs double what I pay for the product I actually LIKE. Example: I love Mario Badescu but my cleanser wasnt in stock. I was guided to another product. The salesperson sounded like a commercial: clarifies, works on 7 signs of aging, etc. List of the ingredients isnt impressive either, but when I questioned her, she acted as if I was some ill informed person. Not true.This has become a pattern at Ulta. Similar to a bait and switch.Today I fell for it. No more. Tomorrow I return the product I bought our of desperation because my regular wasnt in stock .Today was my last visit to this store. From now on I will research and order online from Amazon.

BEWARE OF THE BROW BAR: I am honestly not one to leave a review, but after crying in the parking lot, last night when I made it home, and now waking up and crying again, I feel the need to warn others about the Brow Bar. Ulta charges $25 to tweeze brows, so one would expect every brow consultant to be a brow expert. However, after growing out my brows over the past year and having them done once at Ulta with great success, I returned to have them ruined. My consultant was a very nice young lady, and I do not believe she did this on purpose. Therefore, my concern is with a company that would not offer better quality control, training, support, and/or supervision while having the audacity to charge such a high fee. Brows frame your face and can take a while to regrow. And, I understand that they are sisters, not twins, but my brows barely look related now; one is noticeably shorter and much higher than the other. I have no choice but to purchase products to try to fill them (a skill I have never mastered, so Ill probably continue to look bad) and can barely look at myself in the mirror. This is a major blow to my self-confidence. I really feel hideous and hate that as I am forced to spend money to correct Ultas mistake and struggle to look at myself, Ill be reminded of this trauma.

Its ok. Though their free birthday gifts such as lipstick arent flattering to those of a darker skin tone. I seem to get followed the whole time Im there by multiple employees. Other customers dont, from what Ive seen.

Impossible to book a brow appointment. I have called 3 times this morning and have been put on hold for 15+ minutes before hanging up. Not unusual behavior for this store.

I always get my eyebrows done at the Benefit Brow bar. I do not have one specific person I go to. I have been to all of the ladies who do the eyebrows and they are all wonderful!

Convenient location, friendly staff, and well stocked with new products compared to other locations in my area. I would highly recommend this location and take advantage of the whole foods next door!

Terrible experience. The customer rep at the brown bar was very racist. Was told that would b assist in 20min, then she pretends to be busy. After 50min waiting I left, then she calls asking me if I still want my browns done, even spoke w manager but no help. ULTA if you really care about your customers do something with that brown lady, this is not the only review about her. I just came home and read the history, wish I knew before wasting my time.

I am giving this Ulta store one star for the great location. However, customer service will take a business a looong way and this Ulta is lacking customer service severely. First, the girls there don’t really know much about makeup. They are all on the Instagram model makeup trend (Sharpie drawn on eyebrows and highlighting your nose into oblivion) they feel everyone should do their makeup that way as well. Second, they follow you around the store constantly asking “Do you have any questions?” Or “need help finding anything?”. But when you finally say yes and ask for help they act annoyed. Probably because they don’t know what the heck they are doing in the first place?...Get some people that have a true passion for all things beauty and that truly want to help people that come into the store.

This location does not value their customers. The management does nothing to teach their staff that the customer is always right. If a sale is over but the signs still remain on the shelf and around the store, the sale is not honored. Any complaints to management fall on deaf ears. I will travel the extra ten miles to shop at another location.

Every time I go to the Cross Hill Market store, The employees always display excellent customer service, and the assistant manager is over the top excellent with explaining products and spending time with you sampling until you find the perfect fit. This is my favorite store.

So Went in last night and a young black female was so rude and bimbo acting I just couldnt wait to leave. Danee is an amazing hair dresser. If you have thick, curly hair, then Danee is your hair dresser. She does an amazing job cutting and styling hair. She always gives quality results!

Sales staff totally blew it. Stood next to 2 associates who conversed with each other and ignored me. Asked at the front counter for someone to help me and the clerk said he didnt know about the product and didnt ask one of the 5 other staff in the store! Your staff lost the sale and a customer. Very disappointed. Taking my business elsewhere.
