Carfax is a lie! It does not disclosure all the history of the car and the BuyBack warranty is fake too! I trusted Carfax and bought it before purchasing my car to discover a month later it had a crash not reported on Carfax. Since I paid for the report, I tried the customer service, which took TWO months to answer my email, to use the BuyBack but I present to you what they wrote me with their exact words as: Accident and damage records are reported to CARFAX from thousands of sources, including police departments, repair shops, and insurance companies. However, not all information is available to CARFAX when a CARFAX Report is run because not all sources choose to work with us. If an incident is on file with a source that does not report to CARFAX, we have no way of knowing about it...If you feel that this vehicle was misrepresented to you, you may wish to contact the vehicle seller for resolution. There may also be third-party resolution organizations familiar with these types of disputes, and you can also check with your DMV regarding your states disclosure laws.Please, do NOT spend your money with this fake Carfax report!! Instead use this money to pay for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection that really will make you feel secure and sure about what car you are buying!

I have a truck Ive owned brand new for 5 years, never have had any sort of accident & Carfax is reporting my vehicle was a total loss in 2017. I emailed them several days ago & so far am getting absolutely no response & theres no phone # listed anywhere on their website. I finally thought to look for their corporate # & just found it but of course it is Friday night so will have to wait til Monday. Will update & adjust rating if ever resolved because this is detrimental*updated- Finally got a response. Bad report was removed and I was sent an updated copy of the report. Still taking a star because so difficult to get someone on the phone!

CARFAX reported incorrect information on my vehicles history. I provided them with proof that their information was incorrect and they stopped responding to my emails. BAD BAD BAD!!! Dont trust their reports! They make errors way more often than they would want you to know.

They spam call me once a month for a warranty I never had. Kandice, whom claims to be from Catfax call center hangs up on me when I ask to be removed from the list.

If you are a dealership stay away! They will lie and try to lock you into a contract with terms that arent clear then dont let you cancel! Our price per month doubled, $600 a month and then your sales people stop answering their phones and the service department hangs up on you! Horrible experience with them for your own business stay far away!

CRAFAX HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE-46 yrs old and first bad review I ever wrote - its about CARFAX!CRAFAX posted the wrong info on my truck, saying it was totaled when it was never wrecked. I was in a accident when a car came into my lane and hit the trailer that I was towing and totaled the trailer. I found this out last week when I was trying to sell my truck and a man pulled the report and showed me that it said total loss of vehicle. It was 2 years ago when this happened. MY TRAILER WAS TOTALED NOT MY TRUCKI called CARFAX to report they put the wrong info on my truck; they said we dont put down wrong info. I asked them where they got there source of info and they said the Police report or insurance company.CARFAX IS WRONGPolice report does not say that and I called the insurance company and they said we do not have time or want to notify CARFAX.I want this off my report, so I called back CARFAX and they will not talk to me because I am not a dealer? So I have to do every thing online ok I sent them info showing it was the trailer that got totaled and not the truck a week ago with no reply back. Emailed them daily to get this resolved with still no response.My truck is worth less than half of its true value because of CARFAX and nobody will want buy my truck until CRAFAX fixes their mistake.If you have had CRAFAX note the wrong VIN number on your vehicle, please let me know HOW or IF you were able to get CRAFAX to correct it.

Went looking for place to review Carfax, dont think this is what I was looking for. But if you ever wonder about is Carfax a good company with a great product who treats their customers well and handles any problem lightning fast? The answer is YES YES YES. Not only do I recommend them to anyone selling a car to show the history and value that other car history companies can not match, I also recommend getting carfax on a vehicle you are looking to purchase. Few dollars spent with them can save you thousands and avert a bad buy, but having Carfax on vehicle you selling can make you a few thousand too. Thanks, Carfax I love you-Joe Morris
