I showed up a day early for my appointment and miraculously they were able to fit me in with no wait to speak of.The frames of my glasses were broken (thus the reason for my visit) and the helpful staff accommodated me with identical frames until my new prescription would arrive.The staff was very helpful, patient and accommodated my desperate circumstances. I can’t share enough positive things about my experience. I highly recommend Target Optical

I came here because they had the style glasses I wanted. The technology and professionalism of the actual exam by far surpassed my expectations. Not going back to my old provider. Afterwards, the experience I had with the staff was pleasant and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

Our local Target Optical closed last September. Had I known it was closing, I wouldn’t have purchased two pairs of glasses from there. I took out the protection plan for my everyday glasses. Online kept referring me to a link to submit an inquiry, and I received a denial notice this morning. However, last night, I spoke with Jocelyn at the Columbia optical store (I was advised by online support to reach out to the closest store), and she truly is an asset to Target Optical - no questions asked, and she submitted a warranty claim for me! The only downside was that all I needed were the lenses replaced and ended up having to get frames too. But an entire new pair for $54 is worth it. Thanks again Jocelyn and team at Target Optical - Columbia!

My fiance could not see. I mean, truly, I was terrified to ride in the car with him. He was nearly taking off the side mirrors of cars as he drove! I kept telling him I thought he needed glasses. Target Optical was amazing - I scheduled an appointment and brought him in. The appointment was fast, and Dr. Wilson knew exactly what he needed. She was able to quickly identify that he has an astigmatism. The staff was friendly and professional and made excellent recommendations on both glasses and prescription sunglasses that are trendy and look great on him. He now LOVES wearing his glasses and I dont feel like I am going to have a heart attack every time he drives in the car. Highly recommend!

The service here was wonderful. The staff were quick and efficient. They answered all my questions and made sure I understood all the costs involved in obtaining my glasses. Will definitely be returning here for my next exam and glasses purchase.

The visit went well! I thought everyone was nice and helpful. The only thing I had difficulty with was picking up my glasses. Three weeks later and I hadnt heard from the staff. I called and they said it was in. They also had an old telephone number on file. I updated that information during my visit. Seems odd. However, 4/5 stars would be my rating.

Target Optical on Two Notch Road in Columbia, SC will scam you and rob you blind. They gave me the price of an exam over the phone and when I arrived an additional $35 was added to that price and they said they couldnt refund it because the exam was already completed. In other words, I was told one price (which is the reason I chose to go to Target Optical) and then I was charged a different price. That isnt including the insane price I was charged for two pairs of glasses. Although, they did cancel and refund that for me after I was told they couldnt even provide me with a breakdown on where exactly all that money went towards. When asking for our pupil distance after cancelling, we were told they couldnt give it to us. They didnt end up giving us our PD until we were persistent that it should have been included in the price of our exam. After they gave it to us, we are pretty sure they lied and gave us the wrong number on purpose. Almost every time I called I was given an attitude. Their corporate office is no help. They will lead you to believe that they will have the district manager personally call you and then shoot you down before even getting the chance to speak to anyone by basically saying each individual Target Optical can charge whatever theyd like and offer nothing to help.

DR WILSON IS AWEWSOME! HER STAFF IS TERRIBLE ESPECIALLY HER TECH. DR WILSON told me if I like the new contacts trials then I DIDNT NEED TO SEE HER AGAIN, just call and order. WELLLLLL her staff called and said I needed to make another appointment for my trials.. HUH? Well I made the appointment but called to cancel it and explained the aforementioned and I wanted to pick up my prescription Joselyn said ok come in and well have it ready.. Got there. I was seated. Joselyn says they would have to wait to ge it out my file which was in Dr Williams office. The Tech comes out and starts speaking with another employee and says oh her appointment was at 11:45, um nooooooo I was just there to pick up my prescription.. I knew from the first time I went into that office I was NOT ordering anything from them because the staff was unorganized.. In fact the fist time I went there the Dr was running behind and the TECH never said anything to me she just sent a lady who came in after me; right in. I looked at the Tech and she goes Oh her appointment was before yours and the Dr is running behind. While Im sitting there another staff member came back and was gossiping about a customer REALLY!!!. The communication is terrible. I waited for 20 minutes and now I have to call them to have it faxed . they will NEVER SEE ME AGAIN...IM SURE THATS A MUTUAL FEELING.

I was in a bind right before my wedding...waited until the last minute to get some new contacts. The staff here worked it out for me and contacts were delivered to my door in 48 hrs. Helpful staff. Friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Swift service.

3 contact wearers in the family. Been contact wearers for 30+ years. Never have I ever had to write a poor review or report a provider to the insurance company. No astigmatism, no eye care issues, and prescription didnt change yet they claimed that we had a premium contact lens fitting with no discussion first and up charged for the premium fitting versus the basic fitting that we ALWAYS pay. Subsequently that meant the contact lens are the premium as well, and double the cost of what we normally pay for contact lenses. When we refused to pay the premium fee, they threatened to hold the prescription hostage. My insurance company said that they cant do that. With previous providers, we have always had discussions to find what best suits our needs for eye care including contact lens brand. These people feel like they are the ultimate decision maker and what they say goes, not realizing that once they have put it on paper that the patient is stuck with it for the next 12 months. Unfortunately, I didnt see the 2.2 rating that they have been given on Google until after the visit. It is well-deserved.

I have had the worst experience with these people. Such incompetence at every turn. Ive had my glasses shipped off more than 3 times and Im still left with glasses that dont improve my vision over my old glasses.Do your self a favor and dont get an eye exam here. They do have a great Ray-Ban selection though....

They lost my glasses after telling me for 2 weeks that they would be in soon. I had to give them my frames for new lenses so now I am out of frames and lenses. They refunded my lenses but wanted me to wait another 7-14 for another pair of glasses to come in. I have already gone 2 weeks straining my eyes. I like Dr. Wilson but will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. If your business is to provide people with eye glasses you should not lose them!

They told me I could get a refund only with the flex account card I used to purchase my glasses. Then I came back with it a week later and they told me they didnt say that and I had to go back to the original location I bought them from. Then I went to a third location and they gave me a refund without the flex card.Its as if half the people I dealt with seemed to know what they were doing and the other half were completely clueless. Keep an eye on them.

Selections always change but the quality and helpfulness from staff in purchasing options are good ($30 more for smaller lenses ect.). My only issue was with staff trying to send me to another section rather than finding out what kind of glasses I prefered before coming to a conclusion on me. I preferred sports glasses and she told me to look on the other wall without checking to see what I liked.

Stopped by while I was shopping and had a pair of glasses I bought somewhere else adjusted - the optician Elizabeth helped me out. She was knowledgeable and very thorough - would definitely return.
