Stopped while passing through Columbia.Great cigar bar. Very fine selection, some quality house brands and a friendly/helpful staff.Also a few good choices of wine and beer.About three lounge chairs and four tables, so I can imagine it might get crowded at times, but maybe with support, they can expand at their location.Will make it a regular stop on the way to and from Charlotte.

Great selection and a bar to enjoy your pick with a drink. Owner was very helpful in cigar selection, however very protective of his store. Wont allow touching or smelling of the cigars.

The employees are so helpful and they have a way of making you feel like you know something. The staff is very knowledgeable about cigars and how to smoke them. Our last trip we were presently surprised to learn about a new product to clean the palette. If you are confused all you have to do is ask and they will help.

The owner was very friendly, love that it’s vet owned! We went to get cigars for a birthday gift and they had exactly what we wanted. In and out in 5 mins and seemed like a really cool environment to hang out in if you smoke cigars, as well.

I love this place! I went the first time yesterday, it was just what I needed. Shaun who works there was very nice and knowledgeable, I went with all his suggestions of cigars, especially the 10 Year Anniversary Blend,what a knock out!! And if you are a coffee drinker and willing to try new blends, try their blend - its smooth on the tongue, not bitter, and pairs up nicely with their 10 Year Anniversary Cigar.The atmosphere is great, there are comfortable seating with lounge chairs, a bar, and baseball was on when I was there, nothing like baseball & good cigar. Lite um up is, with out exception, the finest cigar bar I have had the pleasure of visiting. Its not the amazing selection of quality cigars or the wide array of premium micro brews available Tom has available, its the whole experience. The staff treats every customer as if they are the most important customer there. Tom and the guys help each customer select the perfect cigar and then pair it with the right beverage. To top it off the place is absolutely spotless, the game is always on, and the dominoes table is always ready for a friendly game of dots. If you enjoy sharing a good smoke with friends Lite um Up is a must visit. Come once as a new visitor and youll be back as a friend!

Wonderful experience. Tom, the owner knows his clientele, when you walk in it is a friendly environment. Whether Tom or Shawn, Will or even if Matt is there the service is great from choosing your cigar for the afternoon or night to choosing your cut or them lighting your cigar. The experience is everything to them. Even if sitting in the corner and relaxing by yourself. The beer selection is good. Not everything, never is or can be, but selection is from American and European, something for every taste even Coffee is a private label.

The customer service at Lite Um Cigars is off the charts! Tom and the staff here work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Fantastic establishment. Staff is always attentive and helpful! I know some people choose to get offended when the staff walks in the humidor with them...and I seriously dont get that?! The inventory is constantly changing and moving. The staff is always there to guide me to a GREAT choice. I can tell them what type of smoke I like and they are there to make suggestions and point out new things to try I might like based on my tastes. As a lady I always feel safe and welcome. The place is immaculately clean. Its great to hang out at a place where everybody knows your name. We are lucky to have a great cigar lounge like it!

What can you say about this place....as soon as you walk in, you are greeted and escorted into the humidor. Tom is always available to point you in the right direction of what type of cigar you are interested in. Then the beer selection is second to none when it comes to craft beers. While the selection here is good, the real attraction is the atmosphere. I am from Arkansas. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted and given a quick tour. My cigar tastes were discussed and I quickly found my sticks. The bar choices were good. The best part of the visit, though, was the welcome the regulars extended to me. Many conversations and good times. Coming back this way in the summer. Ill drive the extra hour and a half to spend another evening at this excellent example of what the brotherhood of the leaf should look like.

The best cigar experience in the state. I travel miles to visit this cigar lounge! No one in the area has a larger selection of cigars. I have been turned on to so many different cigars by the staff at Lite Um Up Cigars. The first time I went in I was greeted by Tom. He walked me into the humidor filled with cigars and began to ask me questions about what I typically enjoy in a cigar. He had my usual go to sticks that I enjoy but also recommended a few others that I could try that would be palatable for me. I had never met someone that took the time to get to know and understand his customers the way that Tom and his staff does. I travel over 70 miles round trip a couple times a week past many other cigar shops just to experience what Lite Um Up Cigars offers. You will not be disappointed by stopping by here.

I discovered The Man Cave earlier this year and was very impressed with Toms knowledge of all things cigars (and lot of other stuff ).I try to visit as often as I can for great coffee and conversation.

I stopped here on my annual golf trip from Canada. Just got in to smoking cigars so did not know much. For someone new you could not ask for a better person then Tom to deal with. He took time finding out what I was looking for not even knowing myself at the time. Ended up buying a 50 count humidor and basically filled it with cigars. Tom was great and gave me a great deal including free cutter, free lighter and at cost 3 cigar leather case for the golf course. All the recommendations from Tom were perfect. Highly recommend the Band of Brothers line especially the storey behind starting them. Its people like Tom and his fallen friend that the rest of us get to enjoy the good things in life like cigars. Went back the next day and bought some more. Hope I get a chance to visit again in the future. Bill

This place is absolutely amazing. When you walk in you know that youre in a man cave. Tom the owner is a great guy and his staff absolutely amazing and knowledgeable of the cigars and how to pair them with beers. The crowd there is a mix oh men and women both old and young. This is one of the best lounges I have been to. The employees are great, I have never felt judged being a novice cigar smoker. I travel 30 minutes to come here as opposed to the others in Downtown Columbia. The regulars are great as well, I made some great friends here. They have a great selection, and is a great atmosphere, could not recommend enough.

Where do I start..... So I currently live in Sumter South Carolina and have been searching for a place to pick up some good sticks. After a quick Google search I found Lite Um Up and scrolled through a few of the reviews after reading about the great atmosphere and cigar selection I decided to pick up my friend and make the Hour long journey from Sumter. I will say this you will not be disappointed as soon as I walked in the door I knew this was the place for me Tom the owner walked up and introduced him self and asked what kind of cigars Im into as well as my friend. We were blown away at the knowledge and passion that Tom has. After looking around the humidor and talking about the different tastes and pairings my friend made his selection however I had my eyes on another prize. After thumbing through all of the reviews I read about a House Brand Stick called Band of Brothers. I Asked Tom about the back story and explained my friend and I are both in the Air Force and I would love to try a few of these cigars that are made in the honor of his friend. We made our purchase and thanked Tom for his expertise and were on our way. Fast forward 2 days......The Band of Brothers 10 year stick the best thing I have ever Smoked hands down I called my good friend and told him Im ready to head back out to Columbia again. With out hesitation we were back in the Shop a week later and again we were greeted by Tom as if we were Family he showed my friend that he had ordered more of the brand he liked so much and even got in a few new flavors he ended up buying a hefty sized colection of the infused cigars and a humidor as for me I was there for one thing Those Band of Brothers Cigars I ended up getting 25 of the ten year and one of each of the other blends. If you have not been to Light Um Up you are missing out Tom is one of the most passionate people I have ever meet that owns any kind of establishment I really enjoy going to the Lounge and hope to see more new faces next time we head out there. Like the guy came from behind the counter and shadowed me the ENTIRE time I was in there. Let me shop, if I have a question Ill ask. One of the classiest of cigar lounges I have frequented in my days. Always a fun and relaxing atmosphere there with fantastic beers always on tap. Also an even better staff that makes you feel welcome. Never do I feel more at home being a Red Sox fan than when Sean is working.

I travel a lot and came across this place and could not of been more satisfied. The staff and patrons welcomed me like I had been a regular for the past 5 years. Not the largest selection but the right selection of cigars including several of their own man cave options. Paired one of these man cave cigars with a IPA and I was in heaven.Will definitely be back!

Amazing selection with great customer service. Every time I have been in, an employee assists me in the humidor. That has been a great experience because they have recommended some great cigars based on my previous preferences that I would never had tried otherwise. Very clean, friendly atmosphere created by the patrons, well ventilated and the owner is consistently running specials.

The best Cigar bar/man cavery in town. Well ventilated, vast selection of sticks, great environment, and nice selection of brews. Cynthiana helped me out and she was very knowledgeable and helped me select some new cigars. I have made this my one and only place and suggested to many others. Well worth the drive!

Tom gave me an experience that I will never forget. I had to be in Columbia for training 5 months and it became a home away from home .

Hands down...Best. Barber. Shop. In. Columbia! You can order a beer while you get your haircut, free coffee, free wi-fi, and the barbers are a cut above anything else in the city. Curtis is especially good. I wont let anybody else in all of Columbia touch my hair but him. Walk-ins available, but appointments are recommended.

No one else has mentioned the great ventilation system Tom has. It can make or break the cigar lounge experience and Tom has a really strong ventilation system keeping the smoke moving out.Tom the owner introduced himself and called me by name the whole time i was there.
