My kids and I were traveling and my car was making a scraping noise. I got the name of this highly recommended place from a friend. They were so amazing! Looked at my car and fixed it without an appointment. It warmed my heart and my kids were so impressed by their graciousness and help. They gave me peace of mind and they were so wonderful to help out so quickly and so kindly. Seriously, such a great experience. Thank you again.

I’m not one for leaving reviews but this shop has left a positive impact on me. Not only did they quote me a fair price, they got the job done in less time than quoted and the overall bill ended up being even cheaper than the original quote. This is by far the most knowledgeable and professional shop I’ve ever been to. Asking one of the great techs that work there Jason if there’s anything I can do to the car to prevent future problems he was honest and direct by telling me the car runs strong and drives great. He could’ve lied and had me pay for who knows what but decided to be honest instead, I respect that. Anyone looking for a quality work and excellent customer service should give this place a call and I couldn’t recommend them any higher and they will continue to have my business. Thanks guys!

If you drive a diesel Mercedes thats getting on in years, its your only option, aside from paying double or triple at the Mercedes dealership. As a reputable shop in a niche market, they stay super busy, yeah, okay, I respect that. My one star off is for the overly optimistic scheduling and the tendency to drop the ball on communicating, which can leave you feeling like a beggar rather than a customer. I have several times been without my car for several days and over a weekend before being able to take the preliminary step of authorizing work. If thats just how it is, I need to start planning appropriately I guess! And truth be told I AM a beggar, as I absolutely cannot do without them. Just dont love feeling like we both know it.

Great shop with reasonable prices

I have been a continued customer with Phillips for a very long time with all of my BMWs. The problem is just within the last couple of visits Jason has not had great Customer Service ethics. He actually hung up on me for no reason while asking him a question and when I called back to ask him to identify himself he claim to be Ernest. Very deceitful. I have always spoken to Jason and fully aware of what he sounds like compared to Ernest. I had an oil service-oil change and they forgot to reset the sensor which was the reason for my call. I spoke to him in a respectful manner and couldnt understand why I was being treated so roughly. From what Jason told me the sensor is only reset for a certain type of oil service. Told him this was the first Ive heard that. He told me to bring the vehicle back to them to get the reset taken care of but with the dishonestry Jason presented I am not confortable to allow them to touch my vehicle. Mr. Dub I am sorry to say but I am ashamed of the service at this point.

Great place to have your foreign whip repaired. Jason, Mr. Ernest, Nicole & the rest of the team are great & really try to obtain the best case scenario for you to take care of whats ailing your European vehicle without the huge punch to your budget.

Horrible repair shop! BEWARE! Patronized them based on reviews and recommendations; however, I must have visited a different Philips because my experience was nowhere near 5-star. If Minus Star was available; that would have been my rating. Vehicle left the repair shop with the same problem after almost $2K in repairs. Jason blamed the problem on the year and miles of the vehicle, but I thought a repair shop was supposed to repair the problem. Of course, he could repair the problem for another $2K. What a rip-off. Wish I could have received the 5-star treatment! Maybe I should have had one of those 5-star raters take my vehicle to them. Shame on you Philips!

This is an outstanding business. Ernest in particular is very knowledgeable and professional. They repaired my Jaguar at a very responsible price, and were very helpful with all aspects of my repair needs. I am sure I will not take my car any where else. Also, check out there used car lineup, a very nice selection; and I am sure any repairs for prep are first rate!

This is my mechanic for my European cars. I cant stress how hard it is to find honest mechanics. I never have an issue here, not one. Jason and the crew know their stuff, and they get to know your car as well as you. Its refreshing when I talk to them and they remember what they did, what needed to be done, and how the car progressed over time. This only happens one way....they CARE.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience. Dub and his team were very helpful, friendly and professional. I highly recommend them, I purchased my first (current car) from them. If I was in the market for another vehicle, my first stop would be Phillips auto.

I took my Audi in for service. The courteous and professional staff not only handled and fixed my car, but the technician tightened the drivers side door that had been sagging. Now, it closes properly.And, they attached a new gas cap I bought to the filler door. Free of charge and without being asked! These guys are the best and will be servicing my cars from now on.

I cant stress enough that Philips Auto Tech is the best auto mechanic in the whole state of South Carolina for European car. Philips is the only shop Ill allow to work on my car because the last mechanic really mess it up bad. I highly recommend this company for European cars or any type of car that needs repairs.

Very unprofessional and rude. Rep said that he couldn’t give me a estimated price. Stated I would need to pay for a diagnostic test EVENTHOU I have all the paperwork from the Lexus dealership. He also sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes. I wouldn’t recommend.

My wife was in Columbia from Colorado and her VW needed repair. Philips did a great job at the price quoted. After my wife left she called and asked me to write a good review for them because she was so impressed with their service, especially the way she was treated. Bottom line, they did the job for a little under the price quoted and treated my wife well. I would definitely use them again.

Fantastic auto service shop. My BMW over-heated on a road trip and I had to stop in Columbia. I called this place and they were nice on the phone, helpful in person, and fixed my BMW that day so my family could go on our vacation. And their pricing was very fair, particularly compared to a BMW dealership. Great experience with Philips Auto.

Most of the time Phillips is able to make my repairs but this time it needed to go to the dealer.They tried EVERYTHING to save me some $ but ultimately I had to go to Land Rover.BUT,they DID not Charge me for the diagnostic since they couldnt fix it!! Long story short... DO NOT USE PHILLIPS AUTO!! We left our classic 1988 Mercedes 420 SEL to get an estimate and they proceeded to do without required permission $1800 worth of work. THEN kept the car and we had to go to court to get OUR car BACK! Due to the NEGLIGENCE in caring for the car, the car has $3200 woth of damage because of spoiled fuel in the system. DO NOT GO TO THESE HOOLIGANS! My husband is a disabled USMC vet hero and this is how he gets treated in America. UNBELIEVEABLE.

Call them to get a price, they said they would call me back the next day, still havent heard anything. 2 weeks already.

Jason and entire staff took care of me. I save over 1000.00 dollars versus going to dealer for major repairs on my car. Thank yall very much.
