I bought my mountain bike here recently and have the pro service plan. I really like the shop and, buy most my my gear and accessories here. I only have one issue which was my recent tune up 09/20/2021. I received the bike and the chain still had sand on it and overall the gears were still dirty. I think since my pro plan comes with unlimited services that they didnt want to adhere to that and did a rush job. I had to pay an extra $40 (which is fine) to get the next level up but, having to arrive and see the bike in that shape was a little annoying.Update 09/23/2021:They upgraded my tune up to their ultimate for free after the manager was made aware of the issue. I started to bump my review back to a 5 star. The second time, the bike was in better shape but, still the detailer has grime on it, and overall its incomplete. Still have some grime that I had to take care of.

Ben was awesome! We drove up from Houston to check out a Trek Roscoe and he provided an enjoyable experience. The bike was held for us as we made the hour-and-a-half drive. When we arrived, he was friendly, informative, and helpful. Id definitely recommend the College Station Bike Barn branch to anyone interested in either a bike or bike accessories.

Bright and clean store. Windows clean. Parking lot clean and well striped. Staff, consultants, and clerks all very helpful and knowledged able. The inventory is well stocked - lots better than last year (2020) and prices are fair. Great place to take your spouse right before an Anniversary or birthday 💜 . Both of you will be glad you visited.

I literally recommend Bike Barn constantly. Ive honestly never had even close to a bad experience. Even if the place is absolutely slammed, someone has addressed me and helped me out within the first few minutes of walking in. The staff are so friendly, are always willing to help me get bikes off my car and back on, and go above and beyond every time. Every time Ive bought a component there someone has offered to put it on my bike for me for no extra charge. When I bought my clip in pedals and was nervous about falling over in them, an employee helped me figure out the basics in the parking lot and made sure I didnt hurt myself. If they dont have what I need (which isnt often, but has happened) theyll either order it ASAP or direct me to somewhere else that has that product for less $. I am a frequent customer already and have no intention of finding another bike shop. Bike Barn is the best.

Took bike for tuning, was told it required changing of cables, chain. Cost me ~ $200. From the moment took the bike, had problems with shifting, rubbing on front derailer in more than half the gears, chain came completely off 3-4 times, but could at least use all 3 front gears. Brought bike back after a few weeks, came to pick up the bike. All of sudden, bike was never meant to have 3 front gears only 2 based on their research, and apparently if youre in Texas, all you need are 2 front gears based on what they told me. First owner of bike probably upgraded the bike to have three front gears. I researched bike myself and also spoke with previous owner who said nothing was upgraded. Store representative further suggested I should completely change to only two front chain rings. So now have bike with less rubbing but only two front gears, significantly harder to cycle on steep hills, which are surprisingly only half a mile away from my house. They have several phone mounts in store and sold me most likely the worst they had to get rid of the stock. Most other phone mounts they had are rated higher than the one sold on different online stores. Also came to store at 10:10am and was told theyre still closed. They claim to be open from 10am. Know you craft or at least your own opening hours. I will take my bike to another store and if they too claim that the bike cant use three front gears, will be happy to delete this review.

I had a wonderful experience with Bike Barn shop. The Bike Barn Crew showed pretty good attitudes about client service and good knowledge of their business. I got my bike fixed right as I wanted it, they even kept the door open for me after hours, so I was able to pick bike the same day ( and it was busy day for them as well). I saw a bike on their website, reached out after hours via Facebook to confirm that it is in stock, and was surprised to receive a response within a few minutes and was told that one would be put aside for us. When we got there the bike was ready for a test ride. Jud and his team are great... they were extremely helpful, honest and didn’t pressure us to buy one bike or another. Definitely made the drive from Dallas a worthwhile trip!

The costumer service was amazing. I never had somebody care so much about my bike and about giving me a fair price. I truly appreciate it and will come back in the future.

I have Shopped ALL the Bike shops in BCS and this my Favorite!I used to shop at the one in front of Best Buy but spent Thousands of dollars there for years and EVERY TIME I went in, they acted like they never seen me before or they were to busy to help me.The very SECOND time I came here to “Bike Barn” not only did both guys working remember me, the one guy even remembered my first name!The “Other” store opened a new one down by Tractor Supply and it barely has any bikes for sale in it and again you can never get any customer service.Then there’s the store in the Plaza behind Tractor Supply, great guy but small store and very overpriced because it’s small.The store over by the University has a lot of Bikes but not much on accessories, like Shoes, Helmets, Cycling Jerseys/Shorts etc.Really, if you want great selection on everything, accessories and Bikes then this IS THE BEST PLACE TO COME.Also, this is mainly a Trek store and it’s pretty easy to qualify online for Trek Credit which can be used on Anything or Brand of Bike they carry! ( I bought a Specialized with my Trek Card IN a Trek Store)They, are always Super helpful here and go out of their way to get me what I need even if it’s not in the Store they can usually have it in a few days.NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT.When I bought my $3,000 Bike at the other Store they pretty much just asked how tall I was, gave me a Bike, adjusted the seat and sent me on my way.But, my last Bike I bought here, and they have a Room with a Trainer, and they had me actually get on a Bike and ride and take measurements and they ACTUALLY FITTED ME FOR THE BIKE I PURCHASED!If your going to Spend a lot of Money on a high end Bike, you better come here and Buy it, so you know for sure you are leaving with one that is compatible to your Body Type.

Top-notch customer service! Having lived in Houston and Austin Im used to the snooty bike mechanics that are just plain rude. The guys at Bike Barn here in College Station are the complete opposite, super knowledgeable, and share that knowledge with their customers.I took my wifes bike in (Specialized Sirrus) to get the gearing changed so she could use it on my KICKR trainer. This was no easy task, Allen came through and hit a home run with the setup he came up with. My wife now can put her bike on the trainer and also has regained her confidence and enjoyment while riding her new 1x drivetrain on the street.I highly recommend Allen!

Excellent shop! There are shops closer to my home however none have compared to the customer service I’ve received at Bike Barn locations.

My husband and I are retired nurses and believe exercise is the key to good health. My brother, an avid cyclist, sent us to Bike Barn. These guys are the standard setters. Theyre dependable and caring experts. On my first trip to the store I met Austin, the Assistant Manager. Hes in his 20s and mountain bikes. I told Austin of my inexperience and trepidations. He offered to ride with me. Since Im probably older than his grandmother I will always be grateful for his kindness. Thats the kind of folks youll meet at the Bike Barn In College Station, Texas.

I had an issue with a sensor I had on my bike. I thought I’d swing by and see if they could tell me what the issue might. Judd (awesome dud) took a look at it. He saw the issue and said, “I’ll be back. This will take me two minutes.” Sure enough he fixed the small issue. I asked, “how much?” And he said, “no worries bro.” So cool. If they had a beer cooler I would have bought him a beer. Cheers Judd!

Having to wait a while for a bike to come in was not a problem knowing that the current conditions we are all in due to covid-19. The bike was put together great and the employees were generous with there time and knowledge.

Special shout out to Allen Narita for his “specialized” service (lol at my bike pun) and for being patient with my 6 year old and fitting her into the right bike, helmet and accessories. The College Station Bike Barn team has been great. I recently relocated from New Orleans where I was spoiled by Adam and Marc from Bicycle World, being personal friends, they always provide the best of everything. I called Marc one day and asked him for a recommendation. I live in Rockdale, Texas and I can either drive an hour west of an hour east. He recommended going to Bike Barn. Good Choice. I always call in advance and speak with Alan. They have installed a power meter on my gravel bike, and most recently they built 4 Giant MTBs for us. Great service, knowledgable and in the world of pandemics- always ready to help.

Jud shared his expertise with us as we tried to decide on a bike for my pop. He was patient, knowledgeable, and just a really nice person. We appreciate the time he gave us!

Had a super bad experience, over charged me, took 2 weeks, and theres a scratch on my bike. I needed my bike shipped and I payed them $80 to pack it for me. Which is an outrageous price, 40-50 is more reasonable but I couldnt do much about it because I wasnt in town. Now, Ive worked in a bike shop for two years and I get that some bikes take priority over others but after two weeks of waiting for it to be shipped I called them kindly asking what was up. They told me they havent even started to pack it yet. I use my bike to commute because I dont have a car and my work pays me extra to ride. So, Ive been having to catch rides from people and rely on the bus. I told that to the manager and asked if I could have some sort of refund and he gave me $20 of my money back, which just covered my bus pass. The manager said he would pack it that night and get it sent out in the morning. But after that I started tracking it through bike flights and according to them, he didnt get it sent out till the day after. When my bike did eventually come, I found a two inch long scratch on the frame. I was so disappointed. I wasnt the one who dropped it off so I cant prove it was them who scratched it, so I just have to let it go. Im not unreasonable and if they had put any effort into the job I paid them to do I probably wouldnt be writing this review. But I am just really sad about the money and time I lost going through them. Negative 5 stars.

This is without a doubt the best bike shop in town. Ive been using my bike to commute every day in BCS for 7 years. I do minor tune ups myself, but for the sake of time and for more serious work Ive used Aggieland Cycling and BCS Bicycles multiple times over the years with mixed results. Im so sad I didnt check out the Bike Barn until this year. In my opinion, the people working there are the most mechanically skilled in town, but more than this, I really appreciate their candor in explaining the best options available for all my cycling issues. Their level of professionalism will keep me going there for as long as I live in the area. Most recently, Allen did a hec of a job fixing my front derailleur. Thanks again guys

Absolute best place for repairs. Needed a very difficult repair done and they were able to complete it in a very reasonable amount of time. The people working there were knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Can’t recommend enough! Jud was a hard worker and did an awesome job with a very difficult task. Whether you need new tires, tubes, accessories, or just a tune-up for your bike, this is probably the best place in town. Every time Ive walked in, the guys are friendly, completely honest, and ready to assist. They are also high-spirited and clearly enjoy what they do.

Judd was awesome! He took time and put in effort to find the right part for my bike. Judd even entertained my 9 year old while he fixed his brakes. We had great conversations and his advice for me on using my bike to commute will be adhered to. I really appreciate Judds and Parkers customer service skills especially Judds because he made me feel like we were old friends.

Austin was not only able to bring out colors in the finish, fit perfectly matching cable covers but the ride... guys check this place out!11/4/17 Update:Howie just replaced a freewheel on my mountain bike. I had a slipping chain, and with the new freewheel the torque I am capable of applying is above and beyond what the bike was originally capable of. Kudos to the active listening these are capable of. They had a freewheel with a wide gear range, something I have mentioned loving countless times yet didnt ask for specifically in this situation. Not to mention the service was more reasonable that I expected. A+

I am new to the College Station area and, not being very familiar with bikes, was a little hesitant making such a big purchase. Judson was extremely helpful in answering all my questions, and at no point made me feel pressured into making a quick decision--unlike I am used to with many money-minded salespeople/shops. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone looking for an honest bike shop around town--and will be returning myself.

I’ve always brought my bike here when I need to change the tube. They always go through the extra effort of tightening my breaks for me free of charge. Yesterday I decided I would go ahead and get a complete tune-up. The bike now feels brand new and they ran me through ways to upkeep it myself. Another great experience here.

I had an absolutely amazing experience purchasing a mountain bike and full gear setup, their maintenance plan is dope and everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable!

Best Bike shop in College Station, hands down. I needed a minor repair done to my gear wire for an upcoming race and the guys here did it in under ten minutes, free of charge. Real standup guys here at the bike barn, 5/5 stars.

Service is quick and my bike is much more pleasant to ride after leaving. Prices for maintenance and in-store equipment are all mostly reasonable too.

Second time there. Bottom bracket always giving me problems. The first time the manager just changed a little thing and didnt charge ne for it. We did a bike tune up for my half ironman...all went well! Today on my long ride the bottom bracket started making a weird noise again. I went there thinking that i needed to change it. One of the guy told me the price.. ok, lets do it. After one hour he calls me telling me that he checked the piece and it was fine, he cleaned it and the bike was ready. I went there thinking to pay at least for their work and the time spent on my bike...all for free! Great job! Thanks!

I have been very disappointed with the service I received from the employees at this store. I bought a bike about 6 weeks ago and have had to come in to adjust my breaks 4 times already and my pads are wearing out to fast, the bike technician only blamed other factors not including his own sub par work
