This store is excellent. Pep Boys told me I needed new pads on my rear brakes. I went to this store for a second opinion. They checked the pads and advised the pads were OK and did not need replacement. They also confirmed my suspicions that I needed new front tires . I checked at several locations for the install price with an alignment. This store was cheaper by at least $60. I had them install new tires with an alignment. The install was timely and professional. I recently relocated from New Mexico and had been looking for a new go to auto maintenance shop. This is it. Steve and crew are old school with their work ethic, professionalism, and value.

I used to come here to get my car checked since I lived close by. I’ve moved and tried the Meineki near me. The service was horrible. So I decided to come back here. The service is excellent. I originally took my car to Passport Toyota for 90/100,000 mile service. They told me that my brakes were completed worn to dangerous levels (0-2mm) in both the front and back. They quoted ~$500 to fix the brake system. I dont typically get brakes replaced at the dealership so I asked them to hold off on replacing them.I took my car to Meineke in College Park, MD and asked for a brake inspection. They took all the tires off my car to access the brakes (Passport did not do this which should have been the first red flag), and determined that all of my brakes were at healthy levels (6mm+) and did not need to be replaced except one that rotor that needed a cleaning for $45.I truly appreciate their honesty.

Throttle body warning light came on and engine would not go above 20 mph. Got towed to Meineke (Sunday) to avoid engine damage as it was closest. They found the problem by noon Monday: debris in the manifold. Cost? Under $75. Quick, professional service; recommend.

I’m a new used car owner so I wanted to get it wchecked out and make sure everything is running smoothly. I brought it to this Meineke on Rhode Island Ave and he was willing to do a diagnostic check for everything I asked. He didn’t try to take my money and sell me services I didn’t need. He explained everything in detail and made me feel comfortable. He gained a future customer, trust is the key!

I had my car towed to this location due to overheating and leaking engine coolant. Took the car in for an oil change and to fix and replace some lights. The job was done very well and completed quickly. I was expecting to have to do some maintenance since the car was coming up on the 100k miles, but Meineke did a 24 point inspection and didnt find anything that needed repair. Recently I heard noises coming from my brakes which usually indicates some brake damage or wear. I took the car into Meineke for an inspection and oil change. The staff was very professional and reported no brake damage. In fact they mentioned my brake pads were in good shape. They gave me some reasons that could have caused the temporary brake noise. They only charged me for the oil change. An unscrupulous car mechanic could have easily “Trumped” up some lies about my brakes and bilked me out of my hard earned cash. It is refreshing to find honest and professional mechanics. Kudos to this Meineke shop.

Excellent communication with whats going on with my car shown on the car, problem areas and when these problems should be addressed. In and out in a couple hours. Very good work so far in replaced parts. Issues I was having have been resolved. Planning on taking my other car in to be looked at.

This place is great! I was recommended this specific location by a neighbor because they are known for their excellent service! The first time I came here was because a mechanic at another place lied to me and said I had pitch black brake fluid and wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to flush it out. I then decided to go to Meineke for a second opinion and turns out my brake fluid was perfectly fine/new and they informed me that my previous mechanic lied to me and tried to trick me into spending more money. I was so appreciate that the guys at meineke were so honest and helpful. They also helped me by realigning my hood because I had been dealing with a long term clicking sound. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and I can honestly say they are the most female/teen friendly mechanics because other places will try to take advantage of customers who are new drivers. This is the only place where I feel comfortable to ask questions about how to maintain my car with the fear of being upcharged. I also watched them help other customers in the same manner and was happy that their awesome customer service is consistent.

Ive been coming to this Meineke location for upwards of 4 years, and theyve always provided quality service. Tony and his guys run the shop in a time efficient manner and explain issues before moving forward with the work. After having my vehicle for three years I never got a chance to do a complete brake job on the rear as I did the front. Being that its cold and my brakes feeling spongy I decided to have somebody else do it so I called Meineke which was very close from my home got an online appointment got there a half hour earlier they took me almost right away. Conclusion, brake system is very tight now and the price was perfect couldnt ask for a better service they worked on my vehicle non-stop until it was done. I had a great experience at the College Park Meineke! I came in thinking I was going to need one thing done and ended up only needing something else done that saved me a good chunk of money! As you can imagine, I was very happy. The staff were all very kind and explained everything very well. As a young woman, it’s hard to find an auto shop such as this where you’re comfortable with the service and the information being explained to you and not being cheated at the same time. I been taking new and old cars and the work has always been excellent, and they are accommodating to their customers. I trust them because their diagnosis on the cars is always honest. Every one of the guys that work at this location are polite, honest and know their jobs, I am very satisfied in every aspect.I have had several things done to my Subaru wagon with about 200,000 miles and they have done an excellent job. I’m going to start off and say I have an older car, which usually results in shops trying to tell me I need to replace things that are perfectly fine. I took my car to 3 different places to get estimates on what needed to be repaired, to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off. Meineke provided the most accurate estimate, the cheapest costs, and they didn’t try to sell me on fixing a bunch of additional items.I mainly interacted with Tony the manager. He was very nice and patient with all the questions I had for him. They had my car ready earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Everyone was honest and straight to the point- diagnosed the problem and gave the cost of the parts and labor- they will order the part for me, call me when it comes in and then I will drop my car off to do the work

Scheduled appointment online the day before. Had originally planned to drop it off, but plans changed so had to wait. Arrived about 25 min early and Tony said he would pull my truck in next.The whole thing took 30 minutes and I was done 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Tony and his team have always done a great job for me. Even though all Ive really come for is my regular oil change, I appreciate their proficiency and ethics. They inquire if Id like to rotate my tires Everytime (I would do the same, if someone came for oil change), and dont try to sell you on unnecessary services.

My experience was pretty good. They were very professional over the phone when I needed to make an appointment. They were efficient when I arrived. I appreciated that their chairs for customers were spaced out due to COVID precautions. They took my car for a test drive and a mechanic thoroughly explained all the problems I had with my car. It was a relief to have someone knowledgeable work on my car. I believe the price was fair for my work and my car seems like a new lady. I will definitely go again if I’m in the area.

Bunch of thieves, gave me a tire with nail puncture, and framed me for it when the tire was destroyed and I went back to them for the warranty so that they don’t replace the tire for me. Rude manager and terrible service. Don’t go to them unless you enjoy losing money.

The guys at the shop know what they are doing. They are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They give you a honest diagnostic of what should be done to your car. They dont try and sell you something you dont need. They will even allow you to bring your own parts for repairs.

We have 5 vehicles, and I have brought them all to College Park Meineke for at least 8 years. Our Vehicles have only been here for maintenance, nothing major, even thought I know they do it all.First I brought my TT for a muffler hole, dealer wanted to change the whole muffler line.I was like, are you kidding me, change it all, for one little hole!!!!So, to make the story short... This shop repaired it, I was in and out... because they have a welding machine in the shop, so they saved me a lot of money by repairing the little hole instead of changing a big line from front of the car to the back.... crazzzzy.just yesterday, they did an oil change, tire rotation on my sons Civic, so they sent me this page to review .... all I can say, I trust the College Park Mineke, they have taken good care of our cars, my brothers, my parents car, their prices are much lower than other service shops that We used to take our cars before We discovered Meineke does more than mufflers.We also like that, they give us a choice to buy our own parts... it save us some money, but I should also tell you, if you do that, they WONT WARRANTY the parts you bring.Having 5 cars, We usually take our own parts like brakes, rotors, and so on,Ohhh, also Meineke is a Franchise... like McDonald, Sub way.... I like that they have some one to be accountable to.We only have taken our cars to collage park location, so this review is only for college park location.

I went to Midas and a gas station only to find them unmatched in diagnosing and fixing my car. A problem they said was my rear ended and transmission....turned out to be motor mounts and a transmission mount. Thanks to these guys I saved myself thousands of dollars. I will always take my car here now. No time for amateurs. Oh and let’s not forget Jose’s brother who is mechanically sound and dove my van. Thanks to them both.

I will provide another update if I get a reply.Update 2: I got a cookie cutter format reply from Meineke about how they are sorry my experience wasnt good, but they did not even mention my specific concerns, not to mention address them in any way.

Great place. We have been coming here for about 7 to 8 years. Meineke guys have been great and honest since the first time we need car work, and that is why we kept on coming back. They are very professional and helpful. They never overcharge and they always work with you with different options if you cant afford what they suggest. We never had any issues with them. They always call and give an estimate before they proceed. They always finish in a timely manner and are very good with communication. We moved from College Park to Laurel and we still come here and will always do. The only issue I have is that during the summer the poor workers dont get any AC at all and it s so hot I have no idea how they do it...i wish Meineke cared a little more about their workers...

We have been bringing our 5 cars here for almost 5 years.The College Park Meineke again today saved me money, and fixed my murranos AC.They said, it was just a loose seal and now the AC blows cool air.And thanks to them, My beloved 2001 TT has 286,000 miles.before I found the college park Meineke, another mechanic was going to charge me over a thousand to change the hole muffler line, because it had a small hole,I cant remember How much exactly I paid at this meineke, it was hundred something to repair it, not replace it like the other place.I am not related to anyone here, i am just a very satisfied customer.Thanks God I dont have worry about where to take the cars anymore.
