This is the most oddly located home Depot I ever been to in my life the parking and entrance is absolutely mad and makes no sense at all. The store is huge though.
The College Park MD Home Depot is the worst managed home Depot in the country! How can I say that? How could I make such a statement? Well. I visited home Depots all over the country. This was my local home Depot for two decades.....while I was traveling to other states for work. I remember taking care of manager by giving good CSI reviews for this store even though I was not happy with some of my experiences. She was my neighbor and friend and told me her struggles with trying to employ good employees.Very bad service in general. If you walk in there not knowing where to look for something, youll notice employees actually trying to evade you. They will scramble away from that isle. They dont want to be bothered. You might think I know the store well. They moved it around and could not find a few items. I am not being unfair. I will never forget when an employee actually engaged with me physically outside because he assumed I was being rude to another employee. That employee was never seen after that. That kid had a very bad attitude. The fact that that situation happened was outrageous! I was in a hurry and could not deal with it and the other employee was never confronted about it. Its a poorly run home Depot!!!
One of the black lady staff complete ignored me and my husband when requested for help and walked away as if she didnt hear us. She was rude. We are giving stars to the asain lady who helped us was very polite and willing.
Out of all the home depot Ive been too this is far best above the other stores. Everything is well stocked and the employees are very helpful. Cant go wrong going here 👍🏿👍🏿
I really like this home depot. Nice and clean and the staff was really helpful. My only concern was some of the workers were not wearing their mask over their nose. Remember we are still in the pandemic with the delta variant. Please encourage proper wearing of the mask at ALL times while on the job?
Home Depot is one of the best home improvement companies in the industry. Its easy to do online comparison to find the product at the lowest cost. Just remember to call the local Home Depot and confirm product availability.
The College Park store is so clean, organized with helpful and kind employees. I just moved up from Miami, trust me, down there its a nightmare in every store. Unfriendly people, dirty and unorganized. So happy to be back in civilization.✌
Just as quick as I went in I was out...it has been a long time since I have been to Home Depot and I must say that the staff member that assisted me was very friendly and made sure I got what I needed and assisted me to the register where another friendly member was and then assisted me to my car. I cant remember her name but she had pretty dreads w/pink-purple tips and great customer service
I was helped today bye a young man named Wes. He was very helpful, very polite and I did not have to go searching for him. He actually saw me and approached me and asked if I needed help which I did. It is this type of employee who keeps me coming back to Home Depot.
Not too busy on this Sunday. Nice and quiet. Great selection of 8x10 rugs. Bought one today. Great customer service.
Had an online order that had to be picked up from here. They canceled before my expected date because I didnt answer my phone. 1. only calls I got were from 800 numbers during the work day. 2. leave a voicemail if its important. 3. if I have an email saying when to pick it up by, why cancel the order BEFORE the date solely because I didnt pick up the phone???? The only reason I am giving it two stars is because the lady on the phone trying to help me was being nice, however I could hear everyone behind her yelling that they canceled because I need to pick up my phone. I usually go to the HD in Silver Spring and will stick to doing that. Not sure what the point of having text/email reminders are for orders if you also need me to answer a 1-800 phone call about an order..
Needed tracks for my shelving. They were totally out of single track bars. Also needed a small piece of wood. They had to scrape off wood. Did have a pack but it was more wood then I needed
Returned a package I had ordered online. Bo problems. Staff very efficient and friendly.
This store was not to bad I just went into one section I need to hurry up get some materials and get out but it was quick and the person that the progress was very polite and fast on checking me out
Absolutely no staff or product. No Sheetrock mud whatsoever, no lumber, plywood/OSB, Sheetrock screws, grout, etc. Nobody at the pro desk or customer service. Plus they completely shut off all the contractor loading and have nobody at standard check out. All “automated for customer safety.” Worse Home Depot ever and I’ve been to a lot all over the US.
A grown-up toys R us I love this place.
COLLEGE PARK MD | STORE #2552:JOHN FOX in the kitchen design department is awesome! He is a kind gentleman who worked hard to get the dream kitchen Ive been praying for! JIM HEMPHILL, also in the kitchen design department, was a great help when John was not available. CANDICE at the Pro Desk is a sweet heart! She made sure my kitchen cabinets were delivered and helped me navigate through challenging situations. She truly understands the importance of customer service. CISCO, at the customer service desk, was kind, helpful, and patient. With a such a great team on staff, I will patronize this store every chance I get! God bless them all!
Material and equipment for the home at very comfortable prices. A great variety of plants.
This has to be the best place to go to get your keys duplicated
I really like the variety the offer and carry some special items that my home store wont carry or is usually low in stock. The plants here are a bit roughed up compared to home store, we will see Ive been living out here for about 10+ years. I thank you for all the answers.
I’ve been to a lot of Home Depots in my day, and while they’re almost all exactly the same inside, this is an above average one. Friendly staff and good stocking.
Its as good as any other home depot
Its a convenient place to find what I need.
Came in for paint. Left with paint, plus a lid that I remember that I needed.
Wide assortment of quality items and friendly staff make this an excellent choice for items needed by every home.
Smaller store than the one at home. Easy to navigate. Many employees, half approached me to help me out and other half did the typical ignore the customer so I can get work done routine. I get that though with expectations to get everything done while pleasing every customer is high.
Clean organized and well stocked. You can also almost always find help easy.
Planograms need to be maintained. Missing items mislabeled items and incorrect price items to common.
This time I am going to name this store But all the stores have the same problem all of them There is not one that does not have the same problem and it is the fault of the owners fault of the staff who hire fault of who trains the personal staff if they have become so rich they have so much money that they no longer care how the store treats the people who are going to buy those who are in the office disconnected those with the money and put in a staff that does not know how to treat people are well disconnected from reality and they have staff who feel like they are the owners of the store and do not know how to treat customers. They need help and hopefully they will take into consideration all your comments to improve to improve all
The staff are hit or miss, when it comes to having knowledge of a particular item, area of the store, or repair job.Sometimes their professionalism leaves little to be desired, too. But, there are some top notch employees who will go out of their way to help you.Overall, the store is pleasant and I enjoy my shopping experiences, when Im there
If it wasnt the only hardware type situation close to me I wouldnt go there. It is just too big and they dont train their associates who work the floor as to where things are. You can ask three different people where something is and get four different answers.
The check out lanes were well organized and moving smoothly.
This is the best customer service place I visited today, I went in for two items in gardening, the young lady that worked in that department was very helpful and professional, she helped me find the items and didnt make me feel rushed when I had a couple of questions.I then went to the checkout, had to wait in what appeared to be one long line, the line was for self checkout and register checkout combined.i thought I was going to be in it forever.I was in n out quicker than a burger. When it was my turn to checkout,I was at a self checkout, the employee there helped me checkout and was very helpful in helping me do let alone very honest,as i collected my change from the transaction he stopped me and gave me the quarter I missed
Really nice!!! I find all tool i need it!!?
Terrible service online order bad costumer service the people the not helpful only lazy people working there
Came in today, had a problem with a product. The cashier at Customer Service was rude and very unprofessional. India, was her name. Please fix your attitude. We’ve all had long days! So much for customer service.
It was a Home Depot. They have pretty much anything in stock but staff not going out of their way to help you if you need it.
Took a minute but I found the items I was looking for...the associates were really helpful
I got there about 6:50 a.m. this morning I want to go look for something for my bathroom its a quick thing it was an in and out 10 minutes tops
I was returning a door and two windows with my 82 year old father. He also had to purchase a door and two windows. It would have been courteous of someone to assist him with such large items. They did take the time to thank him for his military service but no one seemed to go the extra mile to make it a great customer experience.
Everything needed for every home improvement project imaginable. Over the years, the aisle-based employees have gone from utterly worthless to actively helpful but not always worth hunting down.Theyd get a 5 star rating if only their corporate giving strategies werent so abominable.
Easy to navigate this very large store. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Had to return some items. No problem whatsoever. Great service.
Disappointing. I looked outside in the garden center for potting soil; there was none. I asked an emplyee inside where it would be. He said they were out of potting soil. I couldnt believe that and asked him to check the computer in his hand where it should be. He said hed call an employee from the garden department to look it up. Embarrassingly, as he called, I looked over my shoulder and saw an entire wall of potting soils. He was facing it. Shouldnt he know where the plants and soils are displayed? Shouldnt he have been able to use the technology in his hand? Shouldnt he have seen what was right in front of him? . . .
Great customer service 👏
Derty, the costume service bad . the years go by nothing changes
They sometimes have what you need at Home Depot, and its typically for a low price, but you pay for it in blood. Messy aisles with items in the wrong bins, spotty inventory, things being listed as being in stock until you actually get there, poor working conditions for their staff, cheap bags that split and spill your stuff all over the floor...you know, your typical big box shopping experience. I try to patronize smaller hardware stores when I can, but as we all know, there are some things you are basically forced to buy from a big box store these days, so here we all are. This outpost of Home Depot is only notable in one way: the employees are particularly hard to find and particularly poorly trained on where the products are located and what you need to get your jobs done.
I LOVE the Home Depot on Cherry Hill. It is the only one I have walked into and actually had people ask me if I needed assistance which I really appreciated.
Well,to begin with, once you enter the store it becomes apparent the management has the right game plan and, i would confer, the right people to attend to not only the needs of the customers, but the store itself as well. Although, it being more economical to utilize college-aged employees (purdy much the standard now days), your hard-pressed to obtain actual experienced associates who have the hands-on wisdom in the veritable cornucopia of areas within the designing/building and repairing industry. That being said, with over forty years hands-on experience in more arenas then we have time or space to cover,i usually find myself helping in an advisory capacity oftentimes both customers and employees. But Hey, thats just an opinion of yet another retired mask-erade gear-head.
Stock is not as well maintained as most other Home Depots. It seems like they are always out of at least one item I need. This time I bought landscape fabric, but they were out of the landscape staples needed to hold it down.
Home Depot where you can find almost anything you need except someone to answer questions about where something is or advice on what to buy. One good thing though, is frequently the people working in the different departments, lets say plumbing for example, have some background in plumbing and can advise you if youre not sure what you need.
Enjoyed the Saturday shopping with moms. Went looking for bathroom tiles and found some nice ones. Moms found something for her house too. Overall, a nice time was had by all.
Had what I needed great price short line
There for 25 minutes trying to get someone to help cut carpet comes later and saids no body works in this department today
Susan in flooring was amazing. She was very polite and very helpful. She was knowledgeable and she went the extra mile to make sure I found what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I didnt but she helped me find something close to what I was looking for. Her customer service was excellent.
While looking for a window air conditioner no one knew that they were actually in the store and on the floor.
It was good. However two home depot dudes were rude and not help full. Please train them. If they do not follow, should be fired.h
It was awful. I went to buy a freezer. Talked with 3 employees whom were just doing nothing. Received no help. Terrible customer service. Went to Best Buy next door and they were glad to help. So I purchased a freezer there.
For the first time it was a really good experience things we needed to pick up were ready didnt have to wait long for them to bring things out for curbside pick up and associate who helped us was on the ball like I said was one of the few good experiences Ive had dealing with curbside pick up
Nice place, organized. The plants seem to be well cared for
Again pick up center need to learn more customer service...
Love The Waldorf Home Depot. Fast friendly service. Easy app to find what Im looking for.
Honestly, the customer service could be improved, and I’d say that many of the employees here aren’t very incredibly helpful. However, some do genuinely know what they’re talking about. Although, they seem to be well stocked and have everything in store.
Went for curbside pickup and after following all their instructions and waiting 20 minutes had to go inside. 0 stars for that. Once inside, cashier at customer service was great
Busy store. Well stocked. Found a deal on a Milwaukee jig saw. Tool rep was very friendly and helpful
After selecting the item I wanted to purchase(on isle 3), I attempted to check out at customer service desk as no one was there and the associate were simple standing there. I asked the cashier if she could check me out and she said said the lines for check out are down there posing to the general lines. I told here I was aware, but again I asked if she could check me out. She replied “No”. Today as my first and likely my last time going to tgat location.
Terrible could not get no help in plumbing and keys made will never go there aga
Do not actually offer curbside service! On Tuesday May 5, I was refused curbside service for a paid order, or more accurately, my call was not answered and I was directed inside the store, which is kicked to the curbside service. The place was mobbed. It is not safe inside that store; there are simply too many people packed into the area around customer service. HD, if you offer curbside service it means you bring paid orders out to the waiting area. If you dont have enough employees then hire more. If you cant hire more then pay them more. If that doesnt work, stop pretending you actually can offer curbside service!
The cashier is awesome! He help me to find the correct product that I got sku # online
Very nice selection everything you will need to do whatever for your home, Condos, and more, clean shop, clean restrooms, great customer service Reps
👍
They wont even pick up the phone for myself or their own online customer service reps.
Not too busy at the time I was there. I was able to find what I needed on my own.
Good furniture good job better all good business
Time and time again online website says they do have it you go to the store they dont have it. They dont put much time into actually keeping the aisle straightened up it looks a mess.
I was painting my apartment for the first time & had no idea what I was doing. The paint department were WONDERFUL -- really nice, funny & helpful. I appreciated their help so much & wanted to make sure they knew how awesome they are. Thanks for everything!
Fully stocked, plenty of staff to help. I was looking for birdseed, but unfortunately half the bags are broken open.
Tell me why the spray paint section is empty? I went to two Home Depots and both stores had empty shelves. Ive never seen the shelves like that, especially with hundreds of boxes containing spray paint unopened on the top. Please stock your shelves .
They seem to have less products than most home depots. Parking can be difficult since its a smaller location .
Got everything that was needed the employee that helped was knowledgeable and friendly
Very nice store well stocked and organized, minus you cant never find anyone to help you with anything but over all great store👍👍👍
They had the product but extremely short on staff to assist w the purchase. Otherwise a 4.
We place a special order on a window and the young lady was excellent.
The folks here are much more knowledgeable than the other HDs in the area.
Best as always. They make good keys
Love shopping here.
Knowledgable staff and usually have things in stock. Very low on Christmas decorations though.
Great store, its very neat and well stocked. Great PPE & social distancing. Super helpful and friendly staff.
No beer here by the way, any thing else yes.
This might be the only Home Depot I will never come back to. Service was non-existent, and parking lot was a mess.
The Home Depot Looks Great In College Park, People Could See This Home Depot From The Beltway Along With Shoppers & Best Buy. 🏠🔨🛠🔧🔦🔑🗝
So I never leave reviews but we had a great experience with one of the employees Mr. Donald Harris. He is awesome! We came to him after we broke our shower spout and needed help buying the proper parts. Donald took his time to explain the process of installation in detail including demonstrating how to utilize the pieces we bought. We were initially very anxious but he made us feel at ease and gave us the confidence by teaching us.Thank you so much Mr. Donald.
Awesome staff! I mean, they are awesome every single time!
Appointments mean nothing here
