Went out looking for a light lunch and coffee and was surprised to see this place. Normally when you see a pastry and coffee shop you dont also see wood-fired oven pizzas and handmade ice cream. I would have been fine with a plain croissant, but the fact that you could turn a fine pastry into a hot sandwich was too good an opportunity to pass. Everything tasted better than I was necessarily expecting, not that I didnt think it would be good because I did. I drank the espresso too fast to get a picture of it. I would definitely recommend trying the hot food at this place if you go. Depending on what youre getting, this is one of those places where the earlier you go, the better/more stuff will be there to choose from such as the pastries. Look forward to visiting here again.
We love Ossorio for breakfast! We don’t make it their way all that often, but it is always good. Sometimes, we call it in and pick it up. Sometimes, we order at the window and eat outside. Today we ordered inside and ate inside for the first time in years. It was nice. They have a server that runs your food to your table. Our recommendations: chocolate croissant, croissant sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheddar, or the pesto and sun-dried tomato omelet.
Great service overall. We had an assortment of what they offered for breakfast, and everyone liked what they got. I would suggest to try the omelets and not the scrambled eggs. Every single drink was made with love and you can tell these people are fans of great coffee and pastries/baked goods. DO NOT leave this place without trying the cinnamon roll croissant. Absolutely delicious. We will be back to try the lunch items!
When we arrived to grab some food around 2pm, there were four out of seven outdoor tables available and at least one indoor table that I could see. An employee greeted us at the door and said “there are no more tables available inside” and she proceeded to try and shut the door on us. I told her we were happy to eat outside but asked if we could wash our hands. She said they are too busy with the lunch crowd and for us to just use the to-go order window. I have no idea if the food is good because we left; but the service is top of the line rude.
Great place for coffee and food! Always welcoming and the service is phenomenal!
Was not impressed with the open faced croissant breakfast sandwich.Over baked and hard to cut with the cheap plastic ware.
Delicious sandwiches and the homemade ice cream was very good. My husband said the grilled cheese was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches hes ever had.
I’m so picky with my food. I moved from NYC during covid and wanted some good food. We went to the beach and walked around the town. This area with all the shops and cafes is so special! I stopped in with my family. Their dough is homemade and fresh! And you know it’s good by the bubbles of the yeast.Food: so fresh! We got the goat cheese pizza and the vegetarian sandwich. I really like their bread/pizza dough. They have specials often so the menu changes. Always get the special!Service: so lovely. The team was friendly and patient! Maybe it’s just me from nyc who is surprised when anyone is patient with me.Atmosphere: it’s definitely beach vibes, small town, colorful, calm. The outdoor seating is great. If that is full, there’s so much more room across the street by the trees. After leaving, I immediately marked this as my favorite.
Had a fantastic meal, love the buddy’s beef sandwich. Staff is very friendly too. Would highly recommended if your in the cocoa village area!
My husband and I come to Ossorio all the time. We love the croissant sandwiches and Iced coffee/Lattes. We come here all the time and also owe it to their lovely staff for most of the reason why we always come back. Chris at the cash register always has a wonderful attitude and remembers orders and names of everyone I see who is a regular. Amelia is so sweet and always a joy to see. She always makes the best drinks. Thank you guys for being awesome.
Everytime Ive been here its been a 5/5. Coffee is great, and their salads are good aswell. A great place to stop by when walking through Cocoa Village.
This lovely little bakery is tucked away in lively cocoa village. My wife and I visited in the AM for breakfast and coffee after a walk in the nearby park.Their menu has a great variety of things, I oped to build my own croissant sandwich with their fresh croissants, a lot of options for toppings, made It with exactly what I was in the mood for. Coffee was fresh and delicious. Sandwich was to die for! They have met a perfect balance in responsibly handing social distancing and employee health protection, with a selection of limited indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a walk up window to order and pick from.Loved it, will visit again when Im in the area!
Worse $10 BLT Ive ever had. Who makes a BLT with bacon bits and not strips of bacon? It was more like a salad with all the lettuce and a few bacon bits that probably equaled 2 strips of bacon. I know bacon is a high dollar food to purchase, but come on...your charging $10 for a BLT!
I got a latte it was great. This place stays packed which is an indication of how good the bakery is.
Plenty of room to social distance in line, clean facilities. Staff was helpful and pleasant. But most importantly my wife enjoyed her fruit tartlet!
This place is a favorite of mine when Im in the area. My family introduced me to Ossorio a couple of years ago and I took my husband here for the first time on our first anniversary for brunch two days ago. Its full of charm and the employees are so friendly and helpful. They have indoor and outdoor seating and are located in the charming Cocoa Village area. We got a sandwich and a pizza, an almond croissant and a fruit tart and I got a St. Pattys Day themed iced latte. Everything was so delicious and I wish they had an Ossorio in Springfield, Mo where I live. The only thing that was subpar about this visit was that they didnt put almond milk in my latte like I asked, but actual milk and lets just say that my digestive system waged a small war that left me sitting in a public bathroom for longer than I wanted to lol. Not very romantic. The employee taking our order was not very friendly and didnt even greet us, which honestly felt very odd because every other employee, every time Ive been has been SO. NICE. Anyway, youve got to try this place, everything is so delicious!
Had a croissant and coffee. Very tasty and staff was very helpful and nice.
Delicious food and coffee, expertly prepared. Their breakfasts are delicious, their lunch and dinner plates are superb. Their offering is on the light side (pizza, sandwiches, croissants, salads, omelets) but it is always fresh and made to order. They have several coffee and tea preparations, all very good
Best coffee shop we found in the area. Good place to sit and work if needed, and has some nice variety on the menu.
Food was just OK. Ordered bacon and it was 2 small pieces. Ordered OJ - the taste was good and it was real OJ - however it was full of pulp and also ordered a croissant- which looked good but it was hard.Cute place!
Great place to get some coffee and CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS! Staff is always friendly and they even remembered my order even after only going one time! If you have a stressed person in your life just make sure to stop by and get ya some CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS!
Excellent breakfast. Egg and spinach croissant. Green tea. Friendly service. Homemade ice cream.
For years we were happy customers of the OSSORIO Bakery & Cafe, however, after covid-19, unfortunately this has dramatically changed and its getting worse!Today my wife ordered coffee. The waitress brought the coffee, no creamer or sugar was offered. We had to ask for it and when the waitress brought the sugar, nothing to steer was offered, so we had to ask again. One hour before closing time, all employees were ready to leave! After asking if we still will be served, the cashier was offering something left over and we tried to enjoy our coffee, however, the punk-rock music was unbearable. [It used to be very pleasant to be in this location, but if you really intend to relax, go somewhere else and save your money.NEVER AGAIN!!!
As soon as I walked into this establishment I felt as if I had instantly been transported to a European cafe. It was rather late but the gentleman at the counter was lively and jovial. I told I was in the mood for a pizza and asked him if he had an recommendations. He recommended the pesto tomato pizza and I was not disappointed. In fact it was one of the best pizzas I have had this side of the Atlantic. After dinner I bought one of their homemade ice creams, toasted coconut to be exact, and it was as good as any gelato I’ve had in Italy. I was so impressed I went back for breakfast the next day even though it was a 25 min drive. The omelette and croissant were exquisite. My only suggestion to make this a 5.5 star place is add some seating cushions to the metal seats.
A landmark in Cocoa Village. House roasted coffee, handmade pastries, fresh ice cream, you can’t go wrong here. A staple in the Cocoa Village community for years. On any given day you’ll see old friends sharing stories out front, families coming in for ice cream cones, couples having lunch, and locals sitting with a good book and their their favorite morning drink (mine is their iced coffee!). Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Ossorio should be on your list.
Generally, but not consistently, the food here is above average while management is frequently below average, they run the business like grifters. Ive been in the establishment several times over the past 10+ years when I overheard customers complain and management basically said too bad by suggesting such an insignificant remedy its an insult to the customers intelligence. Well that happened to me on a to-go order. With covid-19 weve been doing all our orders to-go. Many of our orders at Ossorios are for their salmon sandwich that, according to the menu, comes with goat cheese, lettuce, onion, and asparagus. Unfortunately they are not made consistently the same and sometimes with significant variations. When I was checking out today with two sandwiches and another item with a bill of $46 I mentioned to the clerk that the last time those sandwiches did not come with the goat cheese. Personally that makes the sandwich for me. The clerk said well weve had a new cook, I asked her what she could do for me. She checked with the manager and returned stating that goat cheese is a $1 she can take a $1 off for each sandwich. That didnt even amount to the tax on the order, it was so insufficient considering that ingredient makes the sandwich for me and so insulting I had to ask to speak to the manager. I explained the situation to the manager and let her know that the goat cheese on the sandwich made the sandwich for me. She said if I didnt like it I should have brought it back. I explained its a 10 mile trip, I was hungry, and that was a multiple order where we were eating together. She asked why did I come back (I guess for another order). She also explained to me that they were humans and make mistakes (implying the customers pay for their employees mistakes). I told her that her response was a mistake and the way she handled the situation was small. I paid for the order and I asked how do I know they were made right this time. She said we know they were. Neither one of them was watching them being made as they were talking to me at the pick up window 20 ft or more away from where they were being made and had their back to the maker. When I made that point she told me I was rude and to take my order and go away and that I could look at the sandwiches on a sidewalk table. Had they offered something reasonable I likely would have just added it to the tip however I left without leaving any tip. Hint to Ossorios management and staff: try to de-escalate the situation not escalate the situation. Incidentally todays sandwiches (not inspected on site) were eaten but way too much onion, one thin strand of asparagus and a very thin, narrow smear of something white that may or may not have been goat cheese. Extremely inconsistent. Ive had enough of this place for a while. Its hit or miss.Update: almost a year later and I still have a bad taste in my mouth.
Fun place with delicious food in Cocoa Village. Perfect for breakfast or lunch. Everything is fresh and made to order. Absolute gem in this quaint neighborhood. Great pizzas, sandwiches and healthy salads.
Ordering was done along the side of the building. It was super easy to order. The drink was passed right there and I stood near the actual entrance to wait for the food. The chocolate croissant was warm and flaky. Definitely will go by again.
I was very pleased with finding a restaurant that has a diverse menu. The salads were unique and very flavorful. We also had their newest addition of the black and blue pizza. Not your standard pizza. The prices were reasonable. The wait staff could use some improvement, she could of been new or having a bad day. Worth a visit.
Great litte Cafe, with pastries, breakfast and lunch items.
We dined in. It was nice, not crowded. We were the only ones in the back room, and only 3 tables taken in the main room. We were greeted when we came in and asked if we were dining in or eating outside. This is how they keep the crowd down. The people behind us were going to eat outside so they needed to order outside as well. Theyre doing a great job.
Always the best! Connors catch my favorite. Great service and always fresh!
Enjoyable café in the heart of Cocoa Village. Had a nice pita BLT that I enjoyed.
Quick service, reasonable prices and good food!
Prompt and friendly service. Great small baguette bread - light and crispy crust! Overcooked bacon and eggs were meh - bland. No condiments, s&p, hot sauce, jams, etc. Fruit was adequate and somewhat overripe. Overpriced for what you end up getting.
Ireally like going here but I think the place can use a menu redo. They do well because of their location as the menu leaves much to be desired.
We visited Ossorio as a stop on the Village Food Tour. I had no idea what to expect when we walked in, but as our first stop on the tour I was anticipating a breakfast sample. We were presented the curry chicken breakfast croissant sandwich-EXQUISITE. Every taste bud was doing a happy dance. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and when we dropped her a last minute food allergy bomb, she was able to bring out an alternative option no hesitation. At the end of our meal, we found out she was the head chef! Everything in their kitchen is made from scratch, which is probably why it was all so delicious. Will definitely visit again on my next trip out to Cocoa!
The croissants great! the coffees horrible. the service not good. no handmade icecream.
Great coffee stop on weekend bike ride.
Beautiful bakery with great ambiance! They advertise that everything is made fresh. We stopped by for some bakery treats, my hubby got the croissant sandwich with prosciutto and asiago cheese. He was very impressed. He even said it was the best croissant sandwich hes ever had! I however, did not have a tasty croissant sandwich 😑. I dont like cheese so I asked for my croissant sandwich to come with just chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was dryyyyyy and flavorless. Im very wary of breakfast chicken as its almost always flavorless. This place was no different.
This place is always fantastic! Great food wonderful staff and a lovely experience in downtown Cocoa village. Its a must stop and get a bite to eat. The Sarahs chicken salad personal favorite!
Ossarios has the best cup of coffee and croissants in Brevard. The servers are efficient and friendly. The management is mindful of protection from COVID-19. Its a swell place to meet in downtown Cocoa.
Disappointing. I was looking for a relaxed Cafe breakfast. But theyre still doing the mask mandate with disposable cups and plastic ware. Space is not warm welcoming feeling. I will try again when they serve the gourmet coffee in cups rather than paper, and food on plates.
Some of the food was overcooked and salty. The manager was not very nice and had an attitude!!!! The quality has definitely gone way down over the last year or so!!!!
Yummy croissants. They give you a lots of food, but its super quality. Try the vegetable croissant sandwich with spinach and sauteed onions. Cinnamon roll and chocolate crossaint are great, too. Tales a while to get the food but its totally worth it.
Extremely good coffee definitely one of the best coffee shops around :) a little pricey but definitely worth it for the taste and amount u get. I would say prices are comparable to Starbucks depending on what u get.
Masks are Required! If you dont have one, they are provided at the door. We sat inside with good spacing and someone cleaning off the tables and chairs. The food was excellent, the environment is Eclectic. The Tea of the day (Peach) was flavorful.
I visited this place because I wanted a nice cozy, quite place to grab a bite and a coffee while doing some work on my laptop. I had the Buddys Beef sandwich and lemme tell you, it was fantastic! Huge portion as well. After that I got some of their homemade Heath bar ice cream and its absolutely awesome as well. I would, without a doubt, recommend coming here as I most definitely will.I also want to add that their homemade ice cream, actually, is in fact really homemade.
Great food, relaxing atmosphere
The COVID-19 precautions are excellent so lets get that out of the way. I enjoy their food due to the quality and what they use, they use a old styled oven for their pastries and other delicacies. Customer service is pretty standard, the usual, Please wait. Sort of thing, nothing bad at all even friendly towards me in fact. So all in all I give this place a 5 star for early breakfast and in food quality.
Would be 6/5 if they were closer to Madison, WI. Visited for the first time in over a year after moving away from Cocoa, and its as good as ever. They seem to have navigated accommodations for the pandemic safely and smoothly, and their cheery atmosphere has managed to stay intact
I had Cha Cha chicken and it had 3 tiny pieces of chicken in the whole sandwich. It was awful.Fruit tart was very good, but not worth $8.
Relaxed atmosphere and food was very tasty.
Delicious Croissant! Great Afogato
Amazing croissants! They have a good selection of drinks. I suggest the iced chai latte
If I could give it a 3.5 I would. I don’t think it deserves as low as a 3 but not as high as a 4. The food was delicious and perfectly priced. I am sympathetic to the situation covid has put everyone in and the policies they have in place, but not all staff enforce it equally. We are not regulars. Not from the area but been to cocoa a few times and decided to give it a try this time. We were a party of four the day after Christmas. We were told to order them sit (we were sitting inside). A family walked in after us and just sat down (at a table that would have been perfect for the family of four). They had not ordered yet. We ordered and went to find a table only to find no other options for four of us except a bench and pull up some chairs. Inconvenient and uncomfortable. I could see it working if we had only gotten ice cream or coffee or pastries, but not for a meal. The lady that welcomed us and “tried” to help us (I use the term tried loosely because I don’t think there was any effort on her part really, just trying to push us out it felt) was nice but not the same nice to others that must be regulars. It’s hard to put into words but we did not feel welcomed at this establishment. They were out of the chai latte which was something that we were looking for. Food was amazing though. Top notch food for sure.
Just visited twice and had chocolate coussant and a almond coussant with a mocha both times. Excellent!
Magnificent! Cocoa Village without OSSORIOS would not, could not be the same marvelous spots to go for refreshment, conversation and good eats...especially their super tea concoctions! Keep it up Kids! Love you all!!! James
The most Amazing Bread Pudding ever.
I absolutely loved the food. I got the buddys beef it was great👍also got an expresso with cream, that was very good!
All I had was ice cream (we both had a cone), so thats the only food I can comment on. Let me tell you, that was the BEST ice cream cone I have ever eaten, bar none! So delicious! There is a really nice selection of different ice creams. This is a charming place, very cute and colorful inside. It was busy, but they were efficient and fast with the orders. Free street parking is all over.GREAT ice cream - I highly recommend!
Absolutely love Ossorios! So glad we have such a quaint little place in the village. Ive been ordering lavender honey iced tea lately, Ill be lost when summer is over and they arent serving it. This place never disappoints!!!
The wait is getting to be too long. 30 minutes past the promise time. The food, however, is delicious! Its worth waiting a bit for. Just make sure you check the busy times. It gets socially crowded in the public spaces adjacent to it. Mask recommended.
We had the Mocha and an Affogato. The order came up very quickly and the place was very ornate. It was a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of beautiful things to look at
Super fresh food. BLT was so so so good
Ossorio has a different take on your typical sandwich shop as their sandwiches are made from thin crusty flatbread, but its amazing (My personal favorite being Connors Catch a seared salmon sandwich). Their amazing croissant pastries and fresh woodfire oven baked flatbread pizza are also incredibly delicious. They also have salads and breakfast omelets and scrambles but in my opinion they are nothing too much out of the ordinary unlike the other menu items. And as a picky coffee snob, I have to mention that their coffee is the best around! The way they put so much attention to their coffee. Their handmade ice cream, handmade croissants, and oven baked pizza/sandwiches is simply what makes this place the best. This is the go-to place for breakfast and lunch for my girlfriend and I. We love this place!
Waited for 35 minutes for a very bland, no flavor omelette. Wont be back
Great spot for breakfast in Cocoa village.
Great environment, even better food!
Seems to be a local favorite, but I cant see why.
Friendly staff, delicious food/drinks and a quaint outdoor eating area. What a great find!! Looking forward to our next brunch.
Wonderful salads and sandwiches.
Delicious sandwiches and flat bread. Very nice attendants.
Adorable place! They have amazing cinnamon buns, croissants and baked goods. Nice atmosphere to sit alone or meet up with friends. Lots of options for coffee and food- there’s something sure to please everyone. If you find yourself in cocoa village, it’s the place to go!
Very polite, quick service, delicious food!
