I found out about Apex Auto Werks through online automotive enthusiast forums. I was looking to have an alignment performed on my 2019 VW GTI (mk7.5) from a staff with a weekend warrior (autocross/track-day) mindset. Not a regular dealership tech who just aligns a car to track (drive) straight with no desire or know-how of camber, toe or caster preferences for performance. Nick helped arrange the service with professional email communication and John the technician was well versed in performance knowledge. Even had his own track car in the shop. After the alignment was completed, he provided me with an alignment print out and explanation of the OEM+ specs performed. John also went out on a test drive with me as a passenger and then driver to see if all was to my liking.In conclusion: I highly recommend this performance shop for all automotive performance mindset individuals!

I brought my 16 Audi S3 in for a little more Purr and left with an amazing Growl. They say you get what you pay for, but I feel like I got the better end of the deal. John was extremely knowledgeable, professional and up front with everything from labor rates to advice of modification impact of hardware that I provided. I brought in my 2018 BMW M2 to Apex and could not have been happier with the result. John and his team did a complete wheel alignment and adjusted the tire camber for peak performance. They also did a complete quality control check/maintenance including: checking brake pads, putting new brake fluid in, and tire tread. Ill definitely be using Apex moving forward.

Given the choice, I want my car maintained by an engineer with hands on experience, knowledge and time behind the wheel at racetracks. It has taken a long time, but finally found Apex Autowerks and they fit that bill to a T. They are also as organized as any shop I have seen and are passionate about their work and the quality they deliver. Apex completed an installation of a complete coilover system on my 2011 M3. The installation was scheduled and the vehicle was rolled in to begin the work exactly on time. The techs seemed very knowledgeable, and the installation has proven to be exceptional. The owner John also took time to road test the vehicle with me as well as explain the work they had completed. I would highly recommend Apex to anyone looking to complete service, maintenance, or upgrades to their vehicle.

Brought them new wheels and tires to mount and balance. No scratches, they used black wheel weights to match the wheels, and they were ready at my appointment time when I showed up. Will be going back again to this shop.

Been going to this shop for a few years now and I’m glad I found it. John and George always helpful and friendly, they definitely know what they’re doing with great work, service and pricing. They work on all different cars all the way up to exotics, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, you name it. Definitely worth giving a shot, you won’t regret it!

This is my 2nd time visiting apex autowerks for my car and the experience just keeps on getting better. John and the crew are great, extremely knowledgeable. And most importantly honest. They never suggest anything that is not needed to make a quick buck but rather explain everything you may need and why. Be aware! This shop owner John cheated me by using inferior counterfeit parts (spark plugs and spark plug wires) on my 2016 Porsche Cayenne, while informing me genuine parts were used and charged me full price of genuine parts. My car suffered engine failure soon after and I finally found out that I was cheated by them, until I brought my car to Porsche dealer. I have evidences of the inferior parts, receipts, and texting record with the shop owner John. Their shops practice has violated my rights and endangered me and my family. I am bringing a lawsuit against them.

I been coming to apex autowerks Since I got my 2011 BMW 335xi in 2016. i never felt so comfortable leaving my car at a repair shop before. The staff is so helpful and informative like seriously they make sure you leave a happy customer and friend with a healthy car this is my shop for all of my Car needs.

Terrible I would stay away. Came for a tune ended up charging me for diagnostics that did nothing was told head gasket/low compression and didn’t tune it even tho I was charged. Car ended up having perfect compression no issues and got it tuned somewhere else. Hand fulls of people told me to stay away and I didn’t!!!

Owners are honest and provide great quality service . They know what theyre doing and pay attention to detail. Highly recommended.

I normally never write reviews but this place is just that great. I dealt with the owner John for repairs and a tune on my 335xi and hes very knowledgeable and honest. its an amazing experience and i can say from experience something you wont get in any other shop in the tri state area.After visiting them I will never take my car elsewhere again. They do it all!!

I am a very satisfied customer, and the work done on my Porsche way exceeded my expectations.The diagnosis of a failed clutch was shown in great detail while the vehicle was on the lift. A previous repair that seemed to cause the problem was corrected. It is obvious to me that work on a complicated car like a Porsche requires great knowledge and skill. John has that, as he is also a mechanical engineer. He loves cars and truly wants to help people get their vehicles repaired correctly.I will be bringing all my vehicles to him from now on.Thank you John.

Very down to earth owner. Honest and reasonable prices on maintenance and aftermarket parts or services. They work on all types of vehicles from daily driven cars, project cars, all the way up to exotics. John one of the main guys is very perosnable and easy to talk to. He will guide you with your goal and not just sell you anything just because, very rare to find a shop like this. Note: this place has a new name now -- Apex.Had a great experience at this shop. They usually only work on performance cars, but I didnt know that as I had only looked them up on Google Maps, and I went there with my Chevy Malibu. The nice man at the shop still looked at my car and didnt say anything until after the work was done. Then he mentioned that they usually dont do this kind of stuff and I looked inside and there were nice Porsches and etc. The issue I had was that the check engine light was on, he was able to quickly figure out what was wrong and gave me options on what to do. Cost was also super reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.

John always goes out of his way to help with any questions and is super knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.

If you own a high end vehicle or luxury car this is the place you want to go. Apex has worked on my Mercedes multiple times as well as my wifes Bmw and the Escalade I use for my business. I have went to Baron Bmw as well as Aristocrat and wanted to start buying Chevys because of the prices they quoted me. Keith does extremely honest work and the quality is second to none. I have the luxury of being able to buy top end vehicles knowing I can afford to have them fixed thanks to Keith and all the guys sy Apex. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have things done right and honest.

Awful experience, I got my car towed here because my timing belt snapped. They told me I had no compression in any cylinder which is very unusual but I figured theres a chance. When the car was brought back to my house, before the flat bed ever took it off I noticed a massive dent in the center of my trunk and i called immediately. It took 3 days for them to get back to me. The trunk was less than 2 weeks old, freshly painted and they claimed the car came in like this. I was one of 2 people that loaded the car on the flat bed when my car broke down and I unloaded the car at the shop, so I know for a fact it wasnt us that caused the damage. I called and once they returned my calls i mentioned it, the mechanics denied it immediately so I wanted to see survalience while my car was in the shop. In the recording you 2 people pushing it in the shop, one of them being dead center of the trunk pushing from where the dent is but you couldnt see exactly from the angle. Next time they pushed it, he has his hands at the top of the trunk. After 3 weeks of trying to get some sort of answer I received nothing but voicemails and denial and I gave up trying. I wouldnt give this shop a recommendation under any circumstances. Very unprofessional way to handle a customer issue. I will be going else where for my build.

Excellent shop. John and George are down to earth guys, they are very honest and they know what they are doing. They service every type of vehicle, including high end European vehicles and JDMs such as Supras and Evos. I always service my vehicle here. This is the best Tune/Repair shop in the area. I recommend them.

Hey all I’m currently running 1320 HFC DP to sti performance exhaust, with Cobb Big SF Intake, Cobb boost controller and torque solutions tgv deletes.Aside from these mods it’s a17 wrx base w/ wrx performance package.Just recently had a Cobb Protune done by Apex Autowerks in Clifton, NJ. On 4/23/18So I’m currently running on Shell v-power 93,Full tank on the Mustang AWD Dyno.I requested something that would make good power but still be reliable for the stock internals.Tuner spoke to me after dyno and explained that the charge pipe popped off 2 times during the dyno.After,He claimed to crank down on the worm clamps as much as possible, and said everything was good from there. ***for sure still bugged out about that*** like what?? Stock chargepipe pops off?? Anyone had that happen?The final numbers:270whp21psi boostTotally content with these numbers on stock internals and the above mods.***Tuner did suggest better quality gas***got any suggestions?? Aside from converting to E85 or similar ethanol....Will be going back for more work!Do find out. They know what’s up!

This shop is perfect. Went in to do a bunch of changes to my Evo X. After driving by the place a few times, I decided to give these guys a chance over my usual shop and I left completely satisfied. The entire experience went smoothly. The shop owners are very cool and afterwards gave me a tour of the place. I had a few questions regarding brakes and we sat down to determine what I was looking for and which aftermarket parts would best suit my needs. The job they did with my car was very thorough. One of the owners came along for a test drive with me afterwards to make sure everything was working as it should and it was. Plus, theyve got an awesome little shop-cat. Will return to these guys for future work.
