You expect to find unique restaurants on a college campus and this is definitely one of those places. It has all the normal tables youd expect but then have quiet study rooms upstairs as well.Naturally the coffee is amazing but they also do loose leaf tea. All the pastries and muffins taste even better than they look. So do the made to order breakfast sandwiches.Pro tip- get extra napkins for the cinnamon roll, youll need them.

The atmosphere is great, but the coffee not so good. The baristas don’t really seem to know how to make a good shot of espresso or cappuccino or their coffee or espresso machine is not good. Also, there are bees everywhere i that place for some reason. Had to leave the place today because of them

Came here twice during my short visit of this city of abundant nothingness. Saw the funniest latte art. Lets be honest, coffees here suck.BUT! You dont come here for the coffees. Instead, you come for its spaciousness and your favorite people in University circle. For this reason, I bring home from here only fond memories.

Coffee shop is inside the building, when I didnt see it from the street, I thought it had closed down. The person behind the counter super nice and really fast. Will be back tomorrow!

Cute coffee shop with seats both indoor and out. Cant comment on the coffee as I ordered a tea, but their vegan chili is good. It was the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy.Update: I was around the area again and decided to stop in and try the coffee. I ordered a vanilla soy latte and it was very good. Lots of creamy foam on top and not too sweet, which is just how I like it 😋

My husband and I walked from the Glidden House since it was so close. He had tuna salad, I had chicken salad. The chicken salad was terribly bland, not enough mayonnaise in it to even hold it together. More bread than actual chicken salad. Very disappointed. If youre a student its a nice quiet place to study and drink coffee or tea.

Ive been coming here for over 20 years, ever since it was the Arabica. Plenty of seating, unpretentious vibe (and some very nice outdoor seating in the summertime). An older fashioned coffee house that gives a cozy domestic feel that most chain stores lack. Their coffee is excellent and they offer a variety of foods, not just pastries, and prices are reasonable. My only qualm is that their hours can be unpredictable outside of the school season so check their Facebook page, not their website.

This remains one of my favorite coffee shops in Cleveland and certainly in University Circle. I arrived early to a meeting with a friend and took the time to work on some web development. Upstairs has a nice study room which is meant to be quite, a 2 person private room, and two general study and chatting rooms. Wifi upstairs can be a bit slow, but the router is on the 1st floor near the back of the building (front of building at top floor therefore has some issues). Downstairs I had no connection issues.I ordered a Marshmallow Mocha and white chocolate raspberry scone; both were excellent. Music at the shop was enjoyable (over speakers) and was a great place to have a conversation.

I go here almost every day because its so close to campus. I really like the staff! I would suggest better vegetarian options personally, like maybe including hummus and more beans and veggies in the veggie wrap. However, the vegan chili is AMAZING and I would kill for that recipe.

Review №59

While the atmosphere is quaint, the outdoor seating lovely, and the staff friendly, the food did not meet my expectations. The Mac and cheese comes with a ‘daily vegetable’ so I was disappointed to see a smattering of vegetables from what looks like a frozen mix. The Mac and cheese was microwaved, which resulted in a cold center. Overall, come for an afternoon coffee and to enjoy the environment, not the food.

Review №66

Very aged (but quiet and relaxed, at least when I was here) atmosphere and they seem to prefer cash, as I think the barista was annoyed that I used credit card to pay. Not much of a breakfast selection unless you want diabetes. The biscuit would probably have been better if not soggy. The coffee is pretty good. Service was not the best - barista was condescending because I wasnt able to regurgitate my order in half a second without looking twice at the menu. Id guess there are a lot of regulars that order the same thing every visit. Perhaps thats not the best way to drum up new business.

Coffee quality is about average to good. The to go cups are small and made from styrofoam which does bother some. On the up side it is a big and unique coffee house (not coffee shop) where many from CWRU gather to talk and others go to work or study. Outdoor seats are available to in good weather. The location is excellently placed within the intersection of a wonderful residential neighborhood adjacent to campus and close to Cleveland’s art museum and botanical gardens. The biscottis at this shop are very large.

A wonderful coffee house designed architecturally similar to the neighboring Glidden house with wooden tables and floor. This is a lovely place to sit and have coffee while finishing work. It is quiet the way these places should be unlike the chaotic and loud environments in starbucks and co. A nice old fashioned escape where youll actually get work done as everyone around you is doing that.

I dont know if this is normal for other cafes in Cleveland but there was no air conditioning inside. The food looked and tastes gross. I ordered a mango smoothie that was $4 and not even close to worth it. I saw the girl make the smoothie out of some crappy from concentrate box juice and ice. I would not have paid more than a $1.50. Also, overall inside the place looked old in a bad way and missing a good clean.
