Usually, it’s challenging to go to beauty supply stores, to say the least, but the service I received at urban beauty was incredibly exceptional, not just by beauty supply store standards, but by any service industry standard! Helpful staff. Lots of hair, hair care and hair accessory items. Not all the same stuff you see in the other stores. Plus they let you shop in Peace, even though you know theyre watching 👀

When one gets old...a certain age, making mistakes are a kinda comic relief at ones own expence, of course. And theyre gonna happen because after many years of living with drug pollution, its inevitable.So as I take care of shopping obligations, I look over my receipts outside of the store to make sure the cash register hasnt made a mistake!Today it did. Since the register doesnt understand English, I talked to the clerk at this store. I KNEW I WAS CHEATED OUT OF ABOUT 89 CENTS!!! So I fervently explained that to him!!He calmly and coolly explained the addition. He was oh so polite! Of course I apologized and told him that Id write a good review for his store because I owe him that!!!

Very good for hair products. BUT DO NOT BUY ANY FROM HERE CLOTHES BECAUSE THEY ARE NON REFUNDABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE AND THEY HAVE A SIGN SAYING THINGS ARE EXCHANGEABLE. I am out of $30 for something I couldn’t fit SMH 🙄

Had never visited this store before so since I had to wait thru the new DMV process I decided to explore Maingate Plaza a little..Ive been locking my hair for 15yrs & make my own hair products & shampoo so I dont visit beauty supply stores anymore..The tall dark skinned lady was the MOST helpful & nicest..She will be the reason, along with the reasonable prices 😛, for me going back to shop again..

Helpful, patient staff. Good selection of hair, hair products & hair accessories. Good prices. Closes late. No one following you around while you walking around looking around. Parking lot trashy with pot holes so watch your step.

Its a big hair store. They have hair in all price ranges. Theres a very nice young Lady in back doing lashes and shes good and fast. The one down side was the rude man at the register this particular day. However hes not always the one working the register so dont let that stop you from going there

They seem to have everything. Prices are kinda high for me but I do still shop there. Its cool.

Very friendly and helpful. The manager witnessed a young lady trying to steal he did not call the police on her he still dealt with her very kindly.

Not a good selection of wigs at reasonable prices. They do have bobos for all hair lengths which is a plus. Need more selection of Barretts

Favorite hair store in Cleveland

They are usually very nice but today they just lost my vote in regard to service. They gave me the wrong wig. When I brought it back which was unused and unopened and reminded him that he gave me the wrong wig he stated that they all look the same based on what I wanted. I knew what curl pattern I wanted and I felt that I was deceived based on the fact that he assumed that I would just think it was that curl pattern I had before. Black women are very specific about their wigs and we are very knowledgeable of shape and cut. I am disappointed that I was not given an option outside of, go get another wig, which there were none that I was interested in besides the one I chose. Shame on them they should have given me the refund based on their mistake.
